Terrible service, claim they dont pick up certain types of trash and wont notify you that they didnt pick it up until you yourself have noticed, they have ridiculous fees they have a fuel adjustment fee for every trash fee so fee on top of an extra fee even though the trash is being picked up on the same day ? Cancelled service and went with a better cheaper one with no unique trash fees they told me they notified them before end of month and Homewood claims they never received anything until I emailed them about it. Its clear they dont care about their customers even at the end of service and just want more fuel adjustment fees, they see that theres a problem and they dont feel the need to advice or offer their customer a solution shouldve read some of these reviews as soon as I purchased my building oh well happy to not provide them with anymore of my money, oh and get this theyll stop replying and just charge you a late fee even after cancelling lol ridiculous Ill make sure to let investors know about this as this is not going to be the last commercial building I purchase.Faulty billing system as well, got a statement of $375 due and someone when I pay for it another higher amount populates, Im telling you leave this company for your own good

The employees of Homewood Disposal are awesome! We have grandsons that are obsessed with garbage trucks and drivers. They were over at our house to see the garbage pickup - the recycling, garbage and yard waste employees went above and beyond to make the kids experience a very positive one. Outside of the regular great service to our home, the extra step these employees took (especially the yard waste workers) to be so kind to the boys was greatly appreciated!

Very poor customer service and rude driver. Had a dumpster scheduled for delivery July 23rd. I got home after work at 5 PM and the dumpster was still not delivered. I had to call to make sure it was going to be delivered and it was delivered at 6:30 PM. We paid for one weeks use of the dumpster and the dumpster was scheduled for pick up July 30th. I called the day before to see what time the dumpster would be picked up as we still needed to move items into the dumpster. I was told pick up is anywhere from 8 AM-5 PM. The dumpster pick up driver arrived at our house at 7:30 AM which is not what I was told. The driver was very rude and unprofessional upon pick up, staring at us while we finished loading a few items since he was not supposed to be there until 8 AM. Even still, he left with the dumpster before 8 AM. We paid for 7 days of the dumpster use, not 6. Will not use their services again.

It would be nice if they could pick up all the garbage instead my dad just passed away and i have extra furniture to get rid of but have to keep looking at half of it left. the guy also leaves our garbage cans in the street and garbage everywhere

Homewood disposal gave me far more for my money than the other dumpster rental places around me would. I had it 2 days longer and had a far better weight limit. Will be using them again real soon.

The garbage disposal (which we pay for in Richton Park) guy decided to leave my trash cans in the street, blocking a designated permit parking handicapped space occupied with a vehicle , after he, and i had words the week before.Looked up, down the block, and noticed my cans were the only ones left in the street, he placed everyone else cans on the curb. This opportunistic driver/representative totally lacks any type of professionalism, and shows this family owned business in a negative light.Not a good look for your company. JMOContacted the company, was told that the camera footage will be reviewed, never asked my address, or name. Just didnt feel the person i spoke with was sincerely sympathetic to the situation, only empathetic to me, just to ending the phone conversation.Their response now, is asking for the township, and address after the posting of my negative review. Please note these actions by your employee are also captured on several of my exterior CCTV cameras.

I signed up for residential service in May and gave Olga all of my information including my credit card. Now in November, I come home to find my cans missing. I called in and once again spoke to Olga who said that I haven’t paid and have been sent to collections. I explained that I gave her my credit card number. She said this wasn’t true. I then asked why I never received a call, letter, or email about my account needing payment. She said she had the wrong email on file and she didn’t know why I didn’t get a call or letter. She never apologized for their mistake and now I’m worried my credit may be affected by being sent to collections. I cancelled my service with them and switched to Waste Management. It’s a few dollars more a week, but I’m hoping their customer service and billing department will be better.

Worst customer service when you try and call them. Youre put on hold for several minutes and then you get a rude response. Every week my yard waste is left on the curb. Then you ask for a manager and they have no voice mail set up. I left two messages, hope to hear back.

Homewood provided weekly garbage pickup at my moms. When we had to clear her house out, we put a LOT of garbage out. They took it all week after week. No problems. Great service!

I was moving and I asked them to pick the dumpster up before the new owner took control of the property. I called them two days earlier and they still couldn’t get it because it was on a Friday and the driver couldn’t be bothered. The dumpster waited through the weekend because the drivers don’t pick up on weekends apparently so the new owner not only got a new house it got all my garbage too until they decided to pick it up at their leisure. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Several times they have NOT emptied my garbage as a scheduled. Its 90 plus degrees. Where am I going to keep a full can of garbage over the weekend? I called early this morning and back again early afternoon. This has happened too many times. I am paying $71.00 for what? You told me someone would be here by the end of the business day its 5:20 no phones are being answered your staff is gone. What is this? Get someone out here.

Several times, our house has been skipped on recycling pickup (6 times this year including today) despite it being out the night before or the morning of pickup. Each time I call about it, Im met with no empathy, and one time they even said theyd have a garbage truck grab it the next day. I wouldnt go through the effort of recycling if I wanted it to get mixed in with garbage. Aside from not taking our recycling today, they also left some of our yard waste. My work hours arent exactly consistent, so a few times I didnt discovery this until after I got home which has been after their normal business hours. Since theres no way to leave a voicemail, Ive taken to finally leaving a review about how unhappy I am with this service. Id love to ditch them if my village allows it.

The rep was super nice on the phone. They are 3x cheaper than waste management. They did forget to pick up the garbage one week, but I had an extra bin and they picked up both the following week. Overall, Im happy.

Homewood Disposal is first rate in customer service! They really go the extra mile - I missed a recycling pick up and they were kind enough to send a truck back to pick it up. They were also great when I needed a larger recycling bin.

We needed a few roll offs for our projects. They were so great and the prices were phenomenal! The driver followed our placement instructions to the T! They delivered and retrieved the containers in a timely fashion as they were instructed! Our boys thought it was so cool seeing the truck and the driver would wave and say hi to them as they watched in awe! :)

I have had garbage service through waste management and Republic on different properties and by far Homewood is better. You get a real person to talk to that is in Homewood! The sales guy came out and looked at my property and his rate is almost always cheaper. Homewood is a family owned local business. I think they are the only one left? They almost never charge me for extras unless its a lot. Waste management was charging $60 if the lid was up 2 inches. Dont listen to the complainers this company is as good as it gets of the garbage companies.

Homewood slapped a sticker on my recycling bin saying no plastic bags. Meaning in my recycling reciprocal (aka trash can), I can not line the recycling bin with a liner. We are pretty strict on what we recycle, so I am certain there’s no trash in the bags dedicated to recyclables. I am not and will not just place something in a bin; overtime it will get nasty. Extremely nasty. I might as well bring the 95 gallon can inside my house. Don’t cut corners Homewood, hire the appropriate staff to be able to sort recyclables.

Amongst other issues, I scheduled a e-waste pickup and proceeded to drag my old super heavy TV out to the street on garbage day as instructed. No one ever came and picked it up. Now I have to kill my back again and bring it back to my house, just so I can drag it out again next week, hoping someone has some compatence and actually show up.

Drivers refuse to take anything that is not in the container. Since that is what they choose to do then I choose not to pay for it until it is picked up. I understand if it is a large item but I make sure to make small items easy to pick up. So they dont get hurt. And I never put a large amount out I spread it out over time so it is not a problem. Maybe new lenox needs to get a new garbage service.

After having surgery, I was unable to pull my garbage cans to the curb. Each week the Homewood Disposable engineer would assist me in helping me pull my pals to the curb and help put them back.Great employees are essential to all employers. That should also be praised by the general public. We all know how often weve been mistreated by bad employees too.

This garbage company will take away your garbage and recycling cans with no notice when you’ve paid for their service. The reason being that the address is incorrect when the village gave them the wrong address in the first place. So without addressing the issue with the customer first, you’ll come home to your garbage cans missing. Now I’m the middle woman trying to fix the issue with village first before I can fix it with the company. Just stay with your current garbage disposal company because their method of customer service and dealing with issues is backwards.

The reason for my call was to make sure the email on the service agreement was changed and I also wanted a paper copy mailed of the service agreement mail to the correct person, because the fine print could not be read. He put me on hold (so he thought) I heard him say to another co-worker (referring to me) and I quote she dont know what the hell she talking about. I mentioned to Ryan that I heard what you said, it was very unprofessional, and not good customer service. If this is the type of customer service that your company provides we will longer do business with this company. It was very offensive and unnecessary for such a rude comment. A customer should not be ridiculed in the process.

Originally quoted $375. In the end, paid almost double that. Do yourself a favor and stick to a more reputable company. Even if you pay a little more upfront, you will likely be money ahead in the end.

Contacted Homewood Disposal today to replace the blue disposal unit. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. The receptionist then transferred my call to Priscilla who was very rude, unprofessional and lacked any customer service skills. Horrible Horrible Service which reflects bad on your entire company. Very prompt on delivery and pick up

My husband have not had the best experience with this company over the last two years. You literally have to call them several times before anything is done which is so annoying because we pay them for their services yet we get treated like we dont. They throw your garbage can any kind of way. The lid to our can was cracked so now when it rains or snows the water seeps inside. I cannot wait to move and not have to deal with them ever again.
