We pay monthly for our Sears Home Warranty. I called them when our central air unit got zapped during a storm. Six days after my original call, after calling them almost daily to follow up on my work order, they finally told me that they did not have any vendor in my area to do the job. I was advised to find someone to do the job, on my own, and submit the invoice, receipt, and form of payment, for reimbursement.So, although the phone customer service reps were polite, for 6 days, there was no resolution for our service job. Instead, I had to call daily. Each day, I was told, Someone will call you within 24-48 hours. But, no one called with the final decision to tell me to find my own service provider for 6 days. We found someone. They just completed the work yesterday.Ill let you know how truthful Sears was about actually reimbursing for the work done and the parts replaced as soon as I receive my itemized bill to submit to them!

I called Sears regarding our refrigerator. The freezer and fridge box were no longer keeping the produce cold. I called Sears and talked to Rita. She was extremely helpful and tried troubleshooting all possible problems. She said a tech person would be sent out. The tech person (Mark) arrived on time and went right to work. He told me a new compressor was needed and he had one in his truck. I was told it would take approximately 2 hours to repair. He was finished within 1 and 1/2 hours. Both employees were knowledgeable and efficient. The fridge is working again and I appreciate their quick response and professionalism.

We have had SIX repair visits for a Kenmore dishwasher purchased new last year that has NEVER worked. It’s under warranty. It’s a lemon — supposed to be covered by Sears’ no-lemon clause. The same parts replacements have been attempted over and over again, to no avail. The correct motherboard does not exist. The dishwasher must be replaced ... but Sears is dragging its feet — we were promised a return phone call by 6/4/20 and are still waiting. We have been purchasing Sears appliances for many years without problems. This situation is unacceptable.

The service itself was efficient and well done, with a competent technician (and nice guy). I give him 5 stars, but the fact that service is scheduled somewhere between 8-5, rather than between 9-12 or 12-4, means having to be available and wait all day, and for many taking a whole day off work waiting to hear when the tech will actually arrive. That is ridiculous.

Two servicemen (washer and fridge). Both techs came within the scheduled time frame. They were courteous, professional, and finished the jobs in a timely fashion while being thorough! Kudos to them and to Sears for having a good crew representing them. I LOVE my Sears maintenance contracts!! Highly recommend to anyone considering it -- worth every penny!!

Once the repair individual actually arrived, it was fine. However, the time it took to get someone out to attempt repair was abysmal. We had to take time off from work (all day) to be there for the initial scheduled appt. which was abruptly cancelled for some unknown reason. Another repair was scheduled days later which resulted in us taking time off from work again only to have him arrive at 8:30 in the evening! You really need to work on this. We have always loved Sears products but this experience was unacceptable and will affect our choices in the future.

The technician, Charlie, was great!! He figured out immediately what was wrong with the stove (knew where to look for the codes), ordered the parts and repaired it with no problems. Also sold me Sears full home appliance repair insurance coverage which makes more sense for me than the separate coverage I was getting on different appliances. I appreciated his information.

The technician, Bob, was excellent. He showed up when promised and made the repair quickly and checked out the whole dishwasher to make sure it was working properly and that nothing else was wrong with it. He also gave some helpful hints about hard water build up. He was great, but the Service had overbooked him the first time he was scheduled to come - expecting a 15 hour day out of him! - and I had to wait an additional 2 weeks for the new appointment. They need more techs.

It was incredibly easy to schedule a repair online. They were able to repair my refrigerator the next day. The technician that came out was very friendly and knowledgeable and didnt try to overcharge me for parts or service that wasnt necessary. I would definitely use Sears Appliance Repair again.

Refrigerator fan failed.Initial technician diagnosis, within an hour, was correct, parts were ordered, arrived directly to my home (2 boxes) the following week. Two weeks after first visit, technician installed one part, ran a software update and credited the second unneeded part. We had discussed putting the unit on a maintenance contract; he helped by calling the maintenance contract group. The rep I spoke with set up my choice of contract, then after I provided information about my other appliances under contract, she reworked all three contracts into one, so I only have one renewal to remember. The technician and customer service representative gave me superior service.This was a refrigerator repair. It was truly inconvenient to have to wait two weeks for resolution.Also, the time window for the repair visit needs to be upgraded: giving 8 am - 5 pm makes me a prisoner for an entire day, waiting for service. Having to wait until the DAY OF service to be told the two hour time window is not convenient. An initial specification of either morning or afternoon would be most helpful, THEN the update on the day of service.

Same repair person the last 3 times-- the first time he didnt fix it, and the second I had to tell him what was wrong. He always starts by saying he probably cant repair it, doesnt have the part, may have to reschedule, etc then does the repair. This time tried to sell me an enzymatic cleaner before acknowledging that he did in fact have the part. Didnt put the dishwasher back straight so now the racks slide out on their own and wont stay back. Left the old part, box, and some rags in the middle of my kitchen floor for me to clean up. Not happy with the service at all.

The service person arrived on time, was efficient, and very professional. He identified the problem with our refrigerator and fixed it. It has been running perfectly since. The thing that really impressed me is that he was very conscientious about not bringing in dirt from the outside. It was raining and he put on shoe covers every time he came into the house from his truck. That is pretty nice.

I was told by the person on the phone that installation was included in my service agreement (I asked no less than five times). So I took off of work to meet the technician because I really wanted to get the unit installed (it is too big for one person to install). The technician showed up and said they dont do installation and that this happens all the time. He was very, very nice....but this was a very frustrating and negative customer service experience.

I am very satisfied with the quality of the work on my dishwasher. However, I am very dismayed by being charged $199 as the labor cost of installing the new part which cost $149, since the part was installed in about ten minutes. This is not fair to the customer.

I thought the tech who came to look at our washer was great. I received a call ahead via cell phone what they where on their way and the tech found the issue with my LG washer in no time. Sears was one of the few places that had people available pre holiday time. The one minus on the star was the piece that was ordered was correct, but the piece that it attaches to was visibly worn. I wonder why there was no mention of that other worn piece? I know that other piece requires a ton of work to replace. I was left wondering if the total cost would be not worth the repair of if the worn part was good enough for the rest of the life of the washer. Hoping that its the later and will work till the washer is too broken to fix.

Once I got past the initial phone call it was fine. The service technician identified the problem, which was exactly what I thought it was and fixed it quickly. Getting an update that narrowed the time frame was tremendously helpful. Scheduling the repair was a pain. The first person was very difficult to understand and Im not sure she understood me. She also did not send the email that would have allowed me to change the appt. online so I had to call again. The second person was better and followed through.

My dryer was making a horrible sound when i turned it on I unplugged it and called Sears appliance repair to take a look at it. I paid $75.00 for the initial visit. The tech came and found the the dryer had been used without the lint filter therefore a few clothing pieces had been sucked up through the vent and had gotten stuck around the motor. He removed the pieces in less than three minutes and all was good. I was suprised when he told me the final charge for labor $200.00. I was happy my dryer was working again but i felt I was ripped off. Please make sure to check your vent before calling for service!

Quite possibly one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. Our repairman didnt even look at our dryer but ordered some expensive parts that we had to pay for up front. When I called Sears to ask why we were paying a diagnostic fee and why we were paying for parts for a dryer that nobody looked at I was never given an answer. I had a 20% off service and parts code and they charged full price. Even though I gave the coupon to the repairman that came out I had to find another one and send it to Sears in order to get the discount. I had the distinct feeling that no one really cared about my customer service experience. This will be the last time I ever use Sears Home Services.

Washer repair did not even go through one load before having the same issue again. Calling their support line was comcastic. They were unable to get the technician back as he was already out of my area leaving me to take more time off of work for a problem I already paid to have fixed.Update: The phone agent advised me to call tomorrow morning and they would send a tech out right away. Call this morning and the soonest they will send a tech out is over a week away. Do not ever use this service.

My $1,000 dishwasher is making a noise at the end of the wash cycle and during the Drying cycle.The repair man was nice enough, disassembling the unit and checking everything he could think of - but the noise did not repeat. The test cycle did not include a drying cycle - unfortunately.The noise is recurring - if I could time the cycle to occur when the repair man could return - miracle then we could duplicate the annoyance.I already have this exact same model - in my old house so I re-purchased. I should have taken that one with me.I dont understand what design or component change occurred in less than 3 months time to have such a problem for the exorbitant price paid for one of the quietest dishwashers on the market.

The parts that were needed arrived on time and so did the technician. He went right to work diagnosing the problem and agreed that it was the ice maker itself was what needed replacing. He did not mind that I stayed in the kitchen while he worked and explained whenever I had a question. Sears has always done the job as they promised they would, and my ice maker is now churning out the cubes in record time. Thanks Sears!

This has been a nightmare! My refrigerator with bottom freezer… Kenmore elite which was less than three years old broke July 8th. I immediately contacted Sears and they scheduled a diagnostic appointment for July 31. This is my refrigerator… In the middle of summer! I explained that I have two elderly women that live here and are medically frail; these women also rely on refrigeration to keep their medication safe and effective. This is also explained… Still, the earliest diagnostic appointment was for July 31. The technician showed up at 4:50 PM and immediately billed me $99 and then informed me that he would have to schedule the service because he didn’t have the appropriate parts on his vehicle. He also told me that the parts were under warranty but the labor costs would be $340 unless I purchased this year‘s maintenance package and then I would only have to pay $170 and $69 per month. I knew I did purchase a maintenance package so I could not understand why the labor would be so expensive! I later called this year‘s office directly and learned that I have an MPA so the labor cost and the diagnostic fee we’re not supposed to be billed to me.The repair service was scheduled for August 21… Another three weeks without refrigeration in the summer months. This is unsatisfactory!The tech arrived August 21… All the parts were here because they were directly mailed to my home address. He repaired my refrigerator and cleaned up the mess satisfactorily and told me it could take two or three days for my refrigerator to catch up!My fridge begin working to some degree but the bottom freezer remained hot and never got cold. This is been over six weeks of no refrigeration in the summer months. I expressed my displeasure to see years and they offered to schedule another appointment for me for September 4… Nearly another two weeks! After protesting and contacting Sears in Kenmore directly and online they moved up my appointment to August 28. I asked Sheer to make sure that they had a new compressor and other necessary parts on the vehicle for that repair date. I was told that I am “not a technician and that I should not try to diagnose my own appliances… Even though I think I know it well. That this is the technician job”Sears did not take me seriously or take my phone calls seriously, nor did they provide adequate service for the maintenance protection agreement that I purchased when I bought my fridge. They did agree to compensate me up to $150 for my purchase of a small dorm size fridge to store medications that require refrigeration.I’m both occasions the technician did try to sell me a Sears home maintenance package and I asked him “why would I buy a maintenance package when it takes you more than six weeks to get my Appliance fixed?“Although Sears “expedited” my claim… I am still not satisfied and I learned that the Kenmore elite was made by LG which is not a quality product, but of course they don’t tell you that when you were making the purchase.

They lied to me first telling me that home appliance warranty is 49.99 for a year. At the end of the call they read me a disclaimer saying that its 49.99 per month for a year. At that point I said that I dont want the warranty and Ill pay for my fridge repair outright. They did charge me for the warranty anyway. Im on the phone with them now and theyre being difficult about canceling the warranty. Bad customer service.

The most horrible service I have ever received. Not only did you NOT repair my hot water heater on 7/7/16 as your info stated... but it took over 10 days to replace it. Did I mention the water heater was still under warranty ? Ten days is an extremely long period of time to go without hot water.******* Zero (0) star rating****** Zero (0) star rating*******.
