Excellent work by Sweeney’s Pool Service company, I highly recommend it. The owner, Kenny, was professional, straight forward, and provided great overview of the service as well as valuable advice. Not only the job was done in a timely manner, but it was completed two weeks earlier. Ordering/choosing the liner was an easy process thanks to incredibly friendly office staff. The crew showed up on time, and finished the installation within one day. They were able to answer all of my questions and offered some good advice. The owner and office personnel were very responsive to any inquires along the way to ensure that every step of the process was completed as planned.

I used Sweeneys Pool Service for new pool liner, new pool light & new pool heater as well as pool closing.The quality of work was excellent and my family was able to enjoy our pool this entire summer especially with our new pool heater.Sweeneys was leaps and bounds more reliable than any other pool service I have used in the past. Jay was EXCELLENT professional courteous respectful polite down to earth very thorough and meticulous. Answered my myriad of questions.Needed POWER VACUUMING last minute call no less. Marion returned my call/ text IMMEDIATELY yesterday and told me could be here today. Was upfront and honest about costs. Nelson and Nick are great. They politely explained what had to be done to open the pool and worked to problem solve it before having to come back with necessary equipment. They were flexible with their schedule and returned as planned. Nelson came back a third time to finalize the opening, explained everything patiently, and answered all follow up questions. Would definitely use Sweeny’s and ask for Nelson and Nick.

From all the pool services Weve had threwthe years Sweeneys was so far the BEST!Theyre prompt,curtious,most knowledgableand serviced our pool 100% perfection for a30 yr.old pool it never looked or felt better. I recommend this company in a huge way!

Have used this Company past years with no issue. However this year this Company has been horrible. They opened my pool didn’t have tools for a general repair, said they would be back in a day or two, took them 3 weeks to come back. Went into office to see what’s going on was told the technician will be there tomorrow. Technician finally showed up a week later. Called office left messages no one calls back. Have never dealt with such a horribleCompany. Would never use this Company again if I could give them no stars I would. Folks stay away from this Company was good in the past but no longer is. I will be finding another Company.

Ken is very knowledgeable and accessible. I don’t remember one time I reached out to him that he did not return my call or email in a timely matter. The workmanship is top notch.

Im a new homeowner that had no idea where the previous owner put any of their stuff, but Eddie and his associate (wish I got his name!) were both amazing. They helped us understand our system and find where everything was. The company that did the winterization did a poor job, but so happy I worked with such a wonderful duo at Sweeneys. I didnt feel rushed even though I asked a lot of questions. Absolutely wonderful to work with them and will be using them going forward!

I had an appointment 2 weeks ago to fix a leak in my skimmer on a Wednesday with Michael and he never showed up or called. I called the office the following day to ask them what happened and they told me that he never notified them that he didnt come and that its because he probably got busy. They said he will try to make it out to me today and that if he cant because of the passing showers that he will call me to let me know (never came or called). Its Friday now and I call the office for them to tell me that he will try to make it out if not he will come Monday because hes busy Saturday....THE BEST PART - he doesnt show up on friday and then finally comes Monday after I call the office several times. I tell him I need to fix the leak on the skimmer. He ends up looking into the hose and soaking himself twice when taking it apart (could have easily pointed the hose away from himself...). He puts the hose back on exactly how it was assembled before. Hes ready to leave at this point and Im like what about the skimmer?. He looks at it for a few minutes and tells me the gasket seems to be pinched and he starts to explain to me how I should take it apart and fix it myself. I ask him to do it since hes already here and Im not pool expert. He replied naa I cant do it right now I got 4 other houses to go to.... writes me a 163$ invoice and leaves...UPDATE: I got an angry call a few hours ago from one of the ladies that work there. She was screaming at me and insisting I take down the review or they will take legal action against me. Now it makes sense why they dont have too many people going against them online. If I can honestly take back my 1 star and give them 0 stars after that rude and disrespectful phone call I would. Hope this helps anyone considering using them to get their pool serviced. Good luck

Terrible customer service. No one returns your calls! Two times I had appointments and they didn’t show up and never called me to tell me they weren’t coming. Two other times they had to get us parts and no one called us to inform us that the parts were in. We started this process early May and my pool still isn’t useable.

Had a terrible experience with sweenys pool service. We used them to open our pool and inspect. We are currently new home owners and knew little about the process. We wanted to do an inspection and change the needed things for the pool to run efficiently. The tech Mike came for 5 min said we were and ok and charged us $200. We then agreed to change the piping that went into our pre-existing filter and pump which then came out to $800 only to find out there was still air in the line and our pump and filter were not working properly although the tech just left and said Youre good to go. It is also important to mention that they came to open our pool didnt finish due to rain (understandable) ... when i asked when we he would come back he said ill see you when i see you and dont bother bugging the girls in the office they wont know. Without any notice he shows up on memorial day even though he said he would show up sooner.Days later I called back with our issue they said they would come in and install a cartridge filter. I really had limited knowledge at the time so couldnt decide whether i wanted a sand or cartridge filter. The woman Maryanne said the tech could bring both. The day comes and the tech Nick explained to me that his torch broke and that they gave the last filter away, and i would have to order it on amazon and wait two more weeks for the work to be done.When I tried calling back they wouldnt answer my call or have yet to return my message. I RARELY leave any comments , and Im not one of those people who get annoyed at the smallest inconveniences however this company was not professional, their front end was extremely unorganized.If you have not worked with them in the past... this is a warning not to do so.

I found Sweeney’s advertisement in our local Clipper and inquired on replacing my in-ground pool liner. Spoke with Ken Sweeney, and I appreciated his feedback, information of the process and reasonable quote that I decided to go ahead and give him the job. Pool was measured and the hardest part was me trying to decide on which pattern! Liner was ordered and the installation took place exactly when they promised (approx 2 week order time). The workmanship looks great, and you can’t beat the quality of a loop-loc liner! Also appreciated their online, electronic contract and payment process. And they responded to all my text messages as well! Highly recommended, very professional service.

I moved into a house over the summer that had an inground salt water pool which was opened prior to closing the sale of the purchase. At the end of the season I was looking for a company to close/ winterize the pool and attach the cover. A coworker of mine recommended Sweeney’s Pool Service and they did a fantastic job. From the scheduling rep Marion, to the technicians, and individuals sent to close the pool was a great experience. Nick explained to me the way the pool valves that bypass my heater worked and I received text messages and follow ups confirming my appointment and when they would arrive. They arrived on time and were very professional. I will definitely be using Sweeney’s to open the pool next year and wholeheartedly recommend their services.

I called and set up an appointment to open my pool for today Monday June 7th I was told I would get a text giving me the time the pool service people would come and nope never happened. I called the morning of the appointment date and they told me I was on the schedule and they would call me to tell me a time and of course I got no call plus I got no answer. Horrible service

I called Sweeney’s when other companies did not return calls or couldn’t get to the job. Sweeney’s was professional and responsive. Put in new liner, then heater and new loop loc cover and I’ve continued to use them for maintenance They give great advice, answer questions and are always on time. Great company to work with!

Sweeney’s is great. I used them at my old house for my above ground pool, and I just moved into a new home with an in ground pool. I ordered a new cover through Sweeney’s and every step of the way was smooth, from measurement to covering. I’ll be using them every year for opening and closing my pool.

They never returned both of my calls.

We replaced our pool liner two years ago in April and I found the service to be good. Until I attempted to use them again this summer and realized the only reason the service was good the first time was because it was April and they weren’t busy. I need to replace the motor and the filter… The owner said someone would come over and look at everything and tell me what I need but instead they just showed up on the day with the equipment, put the equipment in not checking to see what my outlet was able to handle and put in the wrong equipment. When the guy left he said I’m sorry I don’t know when we’ll be back. I decided instead of waiting for the new equipment I would hire a electrician to up the amps and that would be quicker so that’s what I did. Contacted the owner several times waiting for somebody to come over and show me how to use the equipment and to do the pool opening and that has yet to happen. When I do get a response The owner says I’ll call you later or text you later and that doesn’t happen. Then I sent another text and when he responds he tells me I am emotional because my husband passed away. Are you kidding me??? How unprofessional!! Started getting statements immediately. Job still isn’t finished as I write this and haven’t heard back from Ken.

Do not use them. They don’t do what they have listed on their website for pool openings. Literally removed cover rolled it into a ball. Dropped some shock in the pool. But the filter pump together left us with the DH and left.

We recently converted our pool to salt. Everyone I spoke to at the company was extremely nice and professional. I also spoke directly with the owner Ken who was an absolute gentleman.The work was completed very quickly. The workers were very professional, neat and courteous to my wife.We have signed up for weekly service with Sweeney and are looking forward to finally dealing with a pool company who is professional and most of all HONEST and TRUSTWORTHY!

From start to finish these guys were on point. Never late to a single appointment. Fair and knowledgeable. Highly recommend! Also they’re always available. They’ll go out of their way to answer your call or call you back every time.

I called them and spoke to the secretary she explained that there was a wait she told me she would put me on the first week of June . I was OK with that so I waited and I have been calling them since Wednesday leaving messages to find out when they were going to be coming and I haven’t gotten one response back . Really wish I never called them and I would’ve probably had my pool opened by now through another company I don’t understand why they never even responded back to me I left four messages

They have no clue of what they are doing. They ruined my pool when they closed it. Put in all of the wrong chemicals. Ended up needing a new liner and filter when opened it after the winter. Very nasty service. I recommend you have your Grandma winterize your pool rather than use Sweeney. Worst service ever!!

I would have to say they are not great with providing a time frame for service, and, understandable for the beginning of the pool year. That being said, dealing with Evelyn and Madison on the phone was a pleasure and when the tech, Nick, showed up, pure professionalism. Nick fixed the problem and my filter system works better now then it did on the day it was installed. Would highly recommend Sweeneys.

At last, I seem to have found a reputable company who will honor their work and their commitment to customer satisfaction. Was looking for a new pool service company and came across Sweeneys Pool Service. My old service was unreliable and they always seemed to break something. I called Sweeneys and within minutes I had an appointment for winterization. The communication was excellent, they arrived on time and completed the winterization quickly and efficiently. They even went above and beyond in cleaning the filter and setting the loop-loc correctly so it would drain. Definitely recommend!

Some of the best parts of hiring Kenny and the team at Sweeney’s Pool Service is the responsiveness and expertise. All communications and questions are returned promptly and always comprehensive. Kenny’s continued responses to all my novice pool questions (via email, text or phone) were always quickly answered, thorough and complete and he always had patience and took the time to walk me through many of the aspects of our large renovation job. Even though I had many questions, he never made me like I was pestering him. They came when promised, did the job quickly and professionally, and always left everything clean. And they do great work! Kenny the Owner from Sweeney’s Pool Service was the only company to come to my house and look at the area the pool would be installed and fully explain the installation process including photos. Kenny took his time during our first meeting, made some excellent suggestions and answered all of our questions. Kenny is very knowledgeable and always available. Kenny’s price was lower than most of the major competitors. Tom and his crew did a super neat job installing the pool, using quality parts, and happily answered all our questions about the installation. Tom went out of his way to ensure everything was to our satisfaction. Tom and his crew were at my home when they said they would be and on time. The girls (Evelyn & Julianne) in Kenny’s office are professional, courteous and just a delight to deal with. Nick the pool tech arrived on time, was very friendly and took his time explaining what we needed to know about maintaining and running our pool. Sweeneys Pool service has successfully taken care of our 40x20 in ground pool for 5 years, we have always been very happy. Ken and his staff are professional and knowledgeable. This summer our pool needed a new liner, we researched all our options and went with Sweeneys.The liner is beautiful, Tom did an excellent job. Any concerns were addressed in a professional and timely matter. Thank you Ken, Evelyn and staff.

For a new pool cover this place was great. However for pool opening services I found this company to be highly unprofessional. For $280 they came and removed my cover and installed my plumbing wrong, then left an invoice in my mailbox and left staring thr power was off. If they had called or knocked on the door that could have been easily rectified as the power for the pool is accessible through the garage. It took more then 24 hrs for me to realize the plumbing was wrong so when I called to have them return they said it would be an extra $150 service fee, because it was more than 24 hrs after the original appointment. Im not asking for free work but they could at least fix their own mistake.Update: they ended up waiving the service fee to fix the issue, the plumber was a pleasure to work with. Still was charged additional $150 for opening and cleaning filter which was required when the pool was run without DE being put in the filter, which is supposed to be part of the chemicals put in when they remove cover and start up filter.

Was looking for a reliable pool company after being disappointed on many occasions. Sweeneys was recommended to me and they were able to solve the problem I was having with my heater. Kevin diagnosed the problem quickly and was able to resolve the issue.

Waited all day Saturday for pool service received no call no show had to cancelled plans for Sunday this place has been opening and closing my pool for 2years and when I set up an appointment for weekly service they pull a no show both on Tuesday and Saturday after waiting around for them I give up I guess me buying a 5500.00 heater means nothing they got me for the big ticket item so screw me on the 100.00 weekly cleaning which seems weird because that is guaranteed money.Complete disappointmentNo one answers the calls or textsSteer clear not reliable !!!!

Evelyn was very helpful and upon examination it was determined that I needed a new liner, Kenny, who apparently is the owner - its always good and assuring when the owner is available to customers - called with a fair and reasonable price. My pool was measured the next day and the liner was ordered. Today Tom and Erwin did an excellent job installing the liner. I am exceptionally pleased and will definitely use them again.

Did a liner with Sweeny Pool service. Their workers were prompt and courteous. Unfortunately the liner was defective due to a tear in the seam which was a manufactures defect. I called Kenny the owner on a Sunday on his personal cell which he gave me. They replaced it at my convenience and gave me a free closing. I will definitely use them again and recommend him

We had a leaking filter, and called multiple companies, most of whom did not respond or could not come for a few weeks... I am so glad we called Sweeneys! Not only did they return my call promptly, they sent a repairman the same week! Nick was amazing - spent a half-hour on the phone with me answering all of my questions and offering recommendations. We decided on a new cartridge filter, which Sweeneys ordered and installed at a very reasonable price! Two days after his initial visit, Nick was back to install the new filter and again, he was incredibly patient walking me through the care & maintenance of the new equipment. Sweeneys also squeezed us into their busy vacuum schedule to remove all of the DE that had been dumped in the pool, thanks to our old malfunctioning filter. Anthony left the pool spotless! They also use text confirmations for appointments, which I absolutely love. THANK YOU, SWEENEYS! We are very happy new customers and will be calling for all of our pool service needs from now on!

We closed on our house in the middle of September and the previous owners let the inground pool completely go. It smelt like a swamp, was green and gross. Julianne at the office was so helpful in scheduling us an appointment right away. Anthony came to clean the pool. He was here for 3 hours. He was able to diagnose all of the chemicals we needed and he vacuumed the pool spotless. He also took the time to show me how to maintain the pool moving forward. We look forward to using them for regular maintenance next summer.

Got a gift for our Dad of weekly service for the summer. Would say this is the best thing me and my siblings have ever done for my father. He loved it not only was the girl Juleianne in the office so helpful she didnt pressure me into adding a bunch of things that he didnt need. The weekly maintenance includes all of the basic chemicals he never saw an additional charge. My Dad was so happy all summer long and has finally given in and let someone else take the reins and allow Sweeneys to clean his pool. Recently my wife and I had Sweeneys Pool Service install a Looploc safety cover for my inground pool. After doing a wonderful job replacing my pool liner and filter in the spring, they did another great job installing the cover. They are a very professional company that I would not hesitate recommending.

My first year with them and its been a NIGHTMARE since day 1.this is the icing on the cake. I saw the pool starting to turn 2 weeks ago. this week I come home to this.. WEEKLY maintenance slip Pool looks great! I guess I should just ignore the algae thats taking over the pool?Ive asked numerous times to be refunded the unused portion of my PREPAID contract.there have been so many weeks Ive wondered if theyve done anything at all. my pool has rarely been clean.service is HORRIBLE.you can see from all my other reviews I NEVER post bad reviews. thus is just that bad.

This pool company was great this summer. They were accommodating and attentive. I truly felt like my pool was in good hands. I look forward to using them in the coming season.

I had my pool closing on September 26, 2018. The Sweeney team of Nestor, Anthony, and Edwin arrived on time. They did a thorough job of preparing the pool for the Winter. In Particular, I was happy to see the filter being washed-downed until completely cleaned. Also, it was done in area that did not damaged any areas.

Thank you Sweeney Pool Service for such a professional, reasonably priced closing this year. Nick and Juan the pool techs were such polite young gentlemen. Looking forward already to opening next year with you!

Sweenys pool service was very professional, friendly, and did a great job. They advised us to send photos of the pool liner needing repair. They got right back to us with a reasonable estimate. Even with rain delays on getting job done they called to update. And Tom did a fantastic job repairing liner. We are very satisfied and definitely do busy again and recommend to friends

How can you even rate a company when no one answers the phones or returns someone’s voicemail??? Called at the end of November and Emily or Evie placed me on hold for 20 minutes and hung up. Called 3 times last week and not even a returned call. Was recommend by a Sachem mom thought this company would have been great and I would keep business local ended up calling Suffolk Liners with better ratings and I have my liner date of install for this spring she even came to my house now that’s customer service! Take notes Sweeney’s Pool Service. You get 1 star for poor customer service and losing a life time customer.

What a great pool service company! We signed a contract for opening, weekly maintenance/cleaning of the pool, and closing (May-October). Very professional staff in the office and the pool technicians/cleaners were great and very friendly. They were always available to answer any questions I had. Showed up weekly, did a great job keeping the pool in PRISTINE condition. I also ended up ordering a new LoopLoc cover from them and the experience was phenomenal. They did an amazing job installing it. I am so thankful for this company! You guys are the best - thank you for everything!

Had an emergency pool situation with a party this weekend and Kenny and crew were great! First tried to give me free advice, but when the pool didnt clear scheduled us for a emergency service call which cleared the pool over night. Highly Recommended.

Unreliable service of pretty poor quality. Had them replace my pool filter and try to get rid of the algae in my pool. The filter installation was done decently but it is incredibly inconvenient to schedule with them or communicate. Sometimes they just would not answer the phone or call back for a day or two. And they never managed to kill the algae in my pool. Came to do so twice (and charged me twice) without any results what so ever. Would not recommend this company, they care more about getting the client to pay extra for every little thing without concern for the clients needs, concerns, or issues with quality of work done.

Made the perfect choice when I decided to go with Sweeneys Pool Service for my new liner.Everybody was so nice and knew what they were talking about.From measuring to install , they made it look so easy.I was so happy with them that I decided to have them close my pool too. They repaired any broken anchors for my loop lock and even repaired some springs.They were very nice and even put all my items in my shed.At the end of the day, they were very affordable and highly knowledgeable.Defentlly high recommend them for your pool needs.

Horrible HORRIBLE AND I MEAN HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! BEAWARE OF FAKE 5 STAR REVIEWS. BECAUSE THIS PLACE IS NOT WHAT IT SEEMS TO BE. Read PLEASE read the real reviews with 1 star because they are the most honest ones. What a horrible experience. Or should I say nightmare with this company, that doesnt pick up the phone and leaves people on hold, to scheduling, to incompetent employees who look high.

Very Satisfied customer!!!I would highly recommend Sweeneys Pool Service for all your pool needs. Kenny and Maria are very professional and prices are fair compared to the other places weve called.
