This location is always clean! Staff is friendly and helpful. Locker rooms are kept really well. Just make sure to lock up your items. Ive had people try and open my locker a few times.

Excellent clean facility. Plenty of staff keeping machines virus free. The spray bottles always full, paper for wipe downs aplenty. Gotta love PF.

Do not go to planet fitness they are extremely unprofessional! I had a membership here that and at some point couldn’t come back due to health issues so I canceled my membership, or so I thought! One day my friend and I decided to go and I was just going to be their guest and when we got there the people at the front told me that my account was still open, they tried to charge me and it now has some crazy amount that I needed to pay! I tried to tell them that I had canceled my account so there should be no reason that they should be attempting to charge my account and I got a “I don’t know what to tell you but you can’t come in until it’s paid”! They try to steal from you and when you try and fight it they kick you out this is ridiculous and I will not be putting any money in this company’s pocket again!

My Portage Planet Fitness is the best!! The staff is superb and the facility is clean as a whistle. I am there 5 to 6 times a week. It is like home away from home! Bravo!!

The staff is extremely unprofessional and demeaning. They choose to call the police on their BLACK CARD MEMBERS after you show them your membership barcode number (even though it’s their fault their system sucks). Membership cancelled.

I had bad experience in this location. After 5 years when I started the membership in Chicago, then 3 & 1/2 years in Hobart. Just used the facility less than 30 times and paying every month. I went there in Nov 22, 2020 to cancel due to not using the service. One guy (staff) told me thats going to cancel but PF is going to charge me 1 month pending due to billing cycle which is $21.99. I requested proof of the cancelation, he said that there not option to print out my request but that is the last charge to my bank account. They never canceled the service and I noticed in December 11 that PL charged again the amount of $32.06 which is not the right monthly charge. I called PL in Hobart to verify why they still charging to my bank account, also higher charge for no reason. The employee told me to visit the facility today Monday at 9:00 am to talk with the manager and get a refund. When I went there, met with one of the manager not in charge of Hobart location. After checked the account, told me that the membership still open and she just canceled today effective in January 2021. No refund, and Im not interested in visit that place thorough the rest of my life. Giving money to PL Hobart for almost 4 years in Hobart. I know my fall, and learned from this negative experince. Maybe same as many people that are paying and dont use the service or maybe once in a while. This is my experience with Planet Fitness Hobart, Indiana.

Typical planet fitness. Clean, lots of equipment, etc. but also no squat racks or bench presses.

Just joined a week ago but I find that the Hobart In. Planet Fitness is very clean, friendly staff willing to help.

I moved back to Indiana recently and I’d just like to use the gym membership I’ve been paying for. They say that I’ve gotta travel all the way back to where I’ve moved from and have that Planet Fitness give me another card so that I can transfer gyms. They won’t let me cancel my account either. They say I can’t do it over the phone or Internet. I’m done with this company.

Well they speak to you when you come in and when you leave,meet few new people..employee not bad they conversate here and there .wear mask when u come in..cool place

Its a nice place. Morning staff is nicer than evening staff typically. The gym is usually cleaner and better stocked in the morning too, but that could be due to increased traffic. Before COVID-19, the gym was crazy busy in the evenings. I dont go in the evenings since the reopening specifically for that reason - potential crowding. Give it a try.

It was pretty clean and the machines were clean as well and there’s a lot of variety and I don’t feel judeged or insecure.

People arent cleaning machines after they use them still. This is one reason I cancelled my previous membership.

I really like the ease of going in to workout and not having to wait on a machine.

My wife needed her membership canceled due for medical reasons. Herself and I called 3 times in the same week to see how we can go about canceling without her having to come in.. the people over the phone were very understanding and simply said a family member could cancel with the right information. At the Hobart location a staff member named David said to me I can not cancel her membership (after being told 3 times I was able to) mind you I’ve driven 30 minutes just to be sent back home. A manager was called, the manager said that that was fine if I had the right information. I gave them the debit numbers instead of the account numbers by accident and they both screamed “NO, YOU CANT CANCEL” I’ve been going to this same location for years and I’m very disappointed with the way I was treated by the staff here as well as how the communication runs throughout the customers and staff.

I am impressed with this gym. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Not too crowded. Great selection of workout equipment. Also, very clean!

Always clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely a no judgment zone. A few times someone has seen me struggling with a machine and helped me out. So happy with my membership. Also the hydromassage chairs are amazing! They offer a bunch of workout programs which I have yet to utilize. I would definitely recommend this gym.

The facilities are nice and streamlined and well kept. The staff is professional, friendly, hard working and diverse.Only reason Im ducking a star is that the equipment cleaning paper is often out and not refilled and they dont reprimand bad behavior: people dont clean equipment, leave empty water bottles latmying around or dont clean up the mess they made. There should be a tad bit more enforcement so others dont have to go deal with the bad behavior of a few.

Staff making it very hard to cancel your membership and get very rude and threaten sending you to collections if you dont pay an extra month to actually cancel. Better places and ways to work on your fitness then this facility.

I’ve been going to the gym for three months straight. 4 days a week. I enjoy it a lot. depends on the day and the time sometimes there’s a lot of people sometimes I have the gym almost to myself.

This gym is clean, the staff are professional, and you cant beat the price. It can get busy (understandably so) but there is plenty of equipment for everyone. Lots of cardio machines, plenty of weights. The locker room is pretty good sized as well. I havent tried the tanning beds but the massage chairs are nice.

Clean, bright and very big. Has everything you can ask for in a gym. As with all PF, I like the non-judgmental atmosphere 👍

A great gym. Love the hydro massage beds and tanning beds. Its clean and open 24 hours except for the weekends... which is the only downside.

It is a great feeling when I am there. Clean gym. The guests are always cleaning up after them selves well also. Very friendly. Music is great. The showers are hot! The restrooms have plenty of space. All the equipment I can ask for. It is a gym to be proud of.

Ive been a planet fitness member for almost 8 years and this is the first one that doesnt have 24/7 hours. It seems they have enough staff to maintain round the clock gym considering this is also the smallest planet fitness Ive been in. Overall, staff is extremely nice but really this planet fitness puts a stale taste in my mouth due to its hours. Maybe its just a Indiana thing I do not know.

Great place to get fit

Great price on membership but they need a deltoid lateral machine, and more 45 lb plates. If anyone uses leg machine they need 8 to 12 plates which leaves the smith machines with just 1 pair or without any at all.

I have been a member for over 6 months. The staff is always friendly no matter the time of day, and there is always someone on the floor cleaning and keeping supplies filled. The womens locker room is always clean. It can get crowded after work, especially at the beginning of the week, but its to be expected. Great place!

Unfortunately couldn’t give me an annual refund of $40 because they opened back up and gave notice. With everything going on the last thing on my mind was thinking about planet fitness until I get charged $40 and it is non refundable.

Never used a gym before! Have had great time here its very clean and friendly! When you walk in the staff are always smiling!! You will get a nice greeting and thanking you! Trainer very helpful, knowledgable 100% too! Machines have easy to use guide pictures! Classes are great for me as Im shy and have anxiety. Choose this over the valpo center tho!!

Great local gym at least for the time frame Im there (3AM). Its open 24/5 with limited hours on Saturday and Sunday. The staff there is friendly and the facilities are well maintained.

I really like the place, only thing that bugs me is theres no towel service. Hard to keep bringing new towels in/out of the gym everyday I go when showeringAlso would help to have towels when working out to keep the equipment cleanerThe place is great, just wish they could adapt a system like xport fitness has to make it even better!

I love this gym, my only complaint is its not 24 hours on Fridays or the weekends. With my work schedule it makes going to the gym on the weekends difficult. Besides that the staff is friendly, the machines are always working, and its sanitary. I was nervous about switching gyms from charter but I just asked about the contracts and made sure my questions were answered before I started. Never any problems for membership fees and theyre cheaper than most gyms with that much to offer.

The equipment is very up to date and clean, the black card spa area is wonderful. Try the hydrotherapy bed👌

This place is never being clean. Young kids at counter play fight & good off every time I’m in there. No one that works there is friendly. They don’t greet you with a smile or say hello they just stand there holding the card scan thing for you to scan in. They never say bye or have a good day. Very poor place & Ran very unprofessionally. I wouldn’t even give the one star if it didn’t make me.

Clean, friendly, new, love it! Pretty cheap too. I really don’t feel out of place or uncomfortable. A very nice variety of people there too. Breaking contract kinda scares me, and making my payments but it’s all right.

I have been coming the the Hobart location for about 3 months now and love it. Its great to see a variety of people looking to better themselves in a judgment free zone. Gabe and James are awesome. and the rest of the staff is always smiling and there to say hello and good bye. Only two negative things i can say is. 1.) I wish the Saturday and Sunday hours were 24 hours as well I like to go around 5 am, so opening at 7am is way too late. The other thing is I wish i could use some of the Black Card features on a month to month basis with out signing a year long commitment. I would only take advantage of the massage chairs/tables every so often. But 5 star staff and 5 star facility just wish you could tack on some ala cart items to my $10 membership.

Great place to workout, especially with Angel the fitness trainer in the ABS, PF360 and the 30 minute circuit classes for a total body workout. You will definitely drop the inches and pounds.

Newer machines, i took the refresher course. Learned some new exercises the instructor was very motivating. Spacious, not crowded ample parking. I worked out for a hour and 6 minutes, got a massage on the hydrobed then left.

When you sign up for a membership they require a card on the account I gave them a card in order to have the membership but because I did not have direct deposit set up yet I was going in and paying with cash even though I paid in cash my account was still charged twice and they are trying to tell me that I never paid and they dont give out receipts so lets just say my bank account is now negative 400 plus dollars and they keep telling me to talk to my bank and my bank keeps telling me to talk to them. So as Im fighting with the both of them they both can kiss my ass and they will not be receiving any money from me at all and I will not ever ever tell anyone to go there because I dont want your money stolen like mine has been
