Stopped in for the first time over the weekend. The guys inside were very inviting, knowledgeable and patient. I looked at 3 different knives for what Im sure seemed like an eternity, but the guys were laid back and just let me compare and work out everything until I finally came to a decision. They seemed very grateful for the business, visit and conversation. Any time Im able Ill definitely be back to visit again.

My brother and I went to Rivers Edge Cutlery for the first time last night. First off both of the gentlemen working last night were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The store is great with an awesome selection of knives and prices that match or beat the big online retailers. Rivers Edge also offers knife sharpening and cerakote services. We each purchased our first Microtech knives last night and more importantly found our go to store for knives and knife accessories. I cant recommend Rivers Edge enough. Stop in and check the store out, I know my brother and I will be back.

Great place to buy cool knives at the same price as you find them online. Its nice to actually see and touch them in person before buying instead of guessing how its gonna be when you pick one online. The employees are super friendly and helpful. They even have kitchen knives and sharpening services!

Ever since I first came to this store Ive loved it, Ive loved the service, the product, and the amazing customer service they give. Just the other day I ordered a couple knives when I discovered they took orders online and shipped them, within an hour I got a call from one of the guys there named Brian who wanted to see if an alternative option to delivery would be for me to come to the store to pick it up as being a quicker option, and when I didnt respond in time he caught the delivery and had it shipped for me. Its that sort of consideration and care for the customers business and well being that will always keep be coming back to this store, and for as long as they sell they will absolutely see many more years of business from me.

So this is where all the Sharpening used to be but now they split into 2 different places. This shop are for knives and that sort of stuff. They are a great staff super friendly and knowledgeable about all their products. They have a large variety of products all really cool for a pretty decent price.

Had a another great experience at the knife shop today. I brought a friend and my son had 2 friends along. All the guys working there were extremely friendly and helpful like always. Everyone left with new knifes and it was a all around good time. We drive about a hour to get to the store but its always well worth it.

I cannot say enough great things about this place! Everytime I come in here I receive the best customer service and knowledge than I do in any store. These guys are extremely knowledgeable on their products and will make sure you leave with what you want and whats right for you, no pressure sales and they give you that one on one attention. We have used River’s Edge Cutlery a couple of times to sharpen our kitchen knives. I’ve always been happy with them as they do quality work. A couple of weeks ago I brought in my Grandpa’s knife that had a lot of rust on the blades and the case outside of the knife. I asked them if there was anything they could do and boy did they deliver! My Grandpa’s knife is now usable again and they purposely left a few of the of my Grandpa’s markings on the knife. It was so thoughtful and they were so great. I definitely teared up a bit when I saw the knife. I highly reccomend River’s Edge Cutlery.

Wide selection, they didn’t have exactly what I was looking for but that’s something that can’t be helped at times. The customer service was..... good; the first guy we met was not very professional, a bigger guy with a bald head and beard. He acted disinterested as if he couldn’t be bothered by us while he was on the far opposite end of impressive. Both my mother and I were totally unimpressed by him. The second gentleman that helped was very professional and kind, he had long hair and a ball cap, we liked him a whole lot. They had a fine selection of Spyderco knives which is one of my favorite brands but I’m not in the market for a Spyderco at the moment. Overall selection was good minus what I was looking for which can’t always be helped because distribution can be a funny thing, customer service was good except for the apathetic, bearded worker.

River’s Edge did a great job sharpening all my knives. I almost don’t want to mention that the price is very reasonable, because I’d have gladly paid twice what they changed me after seeing the results! Also, the staff are really friendly and helpful. River’s Edge is my new go to for buying new equipment and getting my cutlery sharpened.

This shop is a bit of a drive for me but its definitely worth it because they are a unique business in this area. I dont know of any other shops with a selection like this. I bought my Hidden Woodsman Day Ruck Scout and ESEE 4HM here. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I bought my first CRKT years ago at the old location but then thought they closed up for good until recently. Just like the first time I shopped here... the staff were very friendly and helpful. Great selection of quality knives at all prices and some interesting pieces on consignment. Also great selection on other EDC gear including lights. They even fixed my old Gerber blade better than new! Forget the big box stores, shop here and keep your hard earned money in Columbus!

Let me tell you...these guys and gals are amazing! The precision sharpening and their knowledge of cutlery is beyond expert. I have our knives sharpened here every 2 weeks. The reason is because we use them daily to cut various fish of all species and weights. Thick bones, thick skin, and repeat use. The amount we use these knives in a 2 week period is far beyond what most people use in their home a year. That said, as mentioned before, theyre very very good at what they do. We will continue to use them over and over. No were in this city can match their perfection and attention to detail then these guys. Plus their selection of knives and shaving equipment plus tactical gear and survival items...is another unmatched thing they have going for them. You have to check them out. Id trust nobody but these guys. Perfection in every way.

The gentlemen who I spoke to and worked with were amazing!! They took extra care of 2 pocket knives we asked them to clean up and sharpen. Knowing these we my grandfather’s and great uncle’s they spent additional time and attention on them and charged for a fraction of the actually time and care they spent on these two knives. I have bought 2 knives through REC. I’m new to knives in general and they are going to remain the first place I search when looking for a knife.I returned the first knife due to the size being too small. They handled the return perfectly. Which is a relief cause coming from the world of watches, some places have terrible return policies.I then bought another knife, the Benchmade super freek. I received it right away due to them shipping the same exact day I order. Went in for my regular knife sharpening. When I told them I came from about an hour away, they said they would get to my knives pronto. 30 minutes later, after a nice browse of their excellent knife selection, including Bench Made, my knives were sharp and ready to go. I have a few Wusthof knives purchased here. Ive brought them in a couple times previously for sharpening and they always do a good job. I will say, whoever was doing sharpening a couple weeks ago (dropped my knives off on 4/13 or 4/14) did an AMAZING job. My knives cut better than when they were new out of the box. Its amazing what a difference a razor sharp knife makes.

Blown Away! Some cutting blades on a commercial piece of equipment went bad and replacements would take days to weeks. I called and emailed them photos. Mike met me and within an hour had them gleaming at the edges. We reinstalled them and were back up and running perfectly. Everyone there was really friendly and the inventory of the shop looks really top notch. I am grateful that he even tried, and he did it perfectly!

The store is very presentable visually but I had a disappointing experience. I dropped off 4 nice kitchen knives for restoration and got them back today. When I checked them at home 2 of them were still chipped up. [see picture]Im not a knife expert so maybe this is an acceptable tolerance? But I got no explanation during drop-off or pick-up that this was to be expected so either they think this is an acceptable job or they just messed up. I asked the guy if all went well when he handed them to me and he basically said See ya. Probably didnt hear me since I have a quiet voice. Still a bummer of a day since this place is a 30 minutes drive one way for me so Im out the gas for two trips and 2 knives that Ill probably avoid using because I cant trust the edge.

By far the best cutlery shop in Ohio. Varying styles/uses, brands, price points etc. Low end, mid range, high end. Anything knife related is here. I drive down from the Toledo area when I want a knife much like i did today and just got back with a CRK. Sure I spent more than intended, thats because i got a knife with inlays like the staff encouraged me to handle over the base knife. It feels better to me and Im super happy spending the extra money on it. Great shop, prices and staff- super friendly and helpful by the way. Wanted my online order straight razor sharpened to shave ready which they could not do but sold me a disposable cartridge straight razor that is smaller and fits my hand much better for grooming my beard.The service was very informative once I let him know it was my first time buying a straight razor and demonstrated how to snap the blade and load it into the razor holder on the straight razor. The price was considerably less than I expected so I was happy on all around. JB

They sharpened my buck 276 folding alpha hunter. They even sharpened the gut hook. It is razor sharp. They took great care to sharpen it properly. Its still razor sharp after two huntung seasons! Awesome customer service.

The staff is very knowledgeable on all the products they carry. They also are attentive to your needs (looking at a knife or flashlight or having a knife sharpened) but do Not over do it. I went in to handle some stuff, not necessarily looking to buy. Brian was really helpful, and offered great conversation. I ended up getting a beater Mora knife, not because I needed one, but because I wanted to support this business. An expensive knife I just bought got dropped on concrete and the tip completely broke off. I brought it to Rivers Edge to see if there was any way to salvage it. They were a bit apprehensive to promise anything as it was an unusual situation, but the knife was returned looking good as new with a reprofile that blended out the chipped tip. Incredible service and fantastic prices, they are always my recommendation here in town.

Friendly staff and a wide selection! I came in for shaving soaps which honestly is very hard to come by and they had some of the best stuff on the market. I had to make my escape though because of the wide selection. I would have spent more than my wife would have been happy about! Lol great store would highly recommend it for people in the market for knives, axes, swords, or traditional shaving stuff.

Wet shaving is an art being rediscovered. Im glad to have a shop with great prices, super selection and a friendly staff. In some other mall type shops, it can feel like the package cost more than the product and result. Not here. I saw all of the names you want. The store was very nice and well stocked. When I was greeted by the kid behind the counter, we asked if he could help me with anything, I mentioned that I was looking for both a chef knife and a pocket knife. He was able to answer every question I had, and he seemed very knowledgeable about every product they carried. They had a very large selection of seemingly everything, from tomahawks to shaving supplies. I would highly recommend checking out the store, even if youre not looking for anything in particular.
