Nobody ever wears masks, both employees and gym goers and the machines are pretty outdated for the price. However, I really like this place because there are so many rooms and it’s easy to find a place to privately work out if you’re a bit nervous about being around others.

Good luck finding a place better than this one for fitness. Absolutely destroys places like Planet Fitness and the Y. Worth every single dime I pay. Staff is always looking professional and engaging, very clean, and smiling. Forget the other gyms, this place puts those to shame.

Loved it as a back up for swimming but now they dont let you pay $19 for a day unless you have a member with you. I was also very disappointed during g the mask mandate times before vaccinations started how slack they were on having people wear their masks employees and members....

Worst experience I’ve ever had while trying to inquire about a membership. I’m assuming they don’t want college students working out there because they had no interest in helping me at all. Rudest staff I have ever encountered. Didn’t catch his name but the guy who “assisted” me was a small white male in his early 50s. Definitely not paying that premium to get treated like I’m not wanted there.

The hours are a BIG PROBLEM...closing at 9 is totally unreasonable...I will not renew my contract. It’s a solid gym though. equipment is dated, but not a problem...staff is super friendly....never a big crowd...highly recommend this gym if you’re not someone who lifts at night

If you’re looking for a gym with egotistical trainers,(Glorified weight loss instructors), this is the gym for you. If over paying for an unclean gym is what you’re looking for this gym is for you. Love an incompetent managerial staff? This gym is for you. Don’t be fooled by this place. Chris will have you touring like it’s a premier club but it’s not. If you miss high-school drama and being judged along with employees who are uneducated while having poor character, this is the gym for you.

Do yourself a favor and find a different gym.Sportscenter is overpriced for the quality. Old equipment and outdated. However, this is the least of concerns for this facility. There are two major ongoing problems daily, and consistently for months.1. This facility has no concerns about the fact we are in the middle of a global pandemic with a contagious virus. Most staff have no concerns for their members wellbeing. 80% of members as well as staff do not wear masks, and it is also not enforced. Trainers, staff, and members do not clean equipment used. Trainers have group sessions with people that are unmasked and not socially distanced. Staff is never seen going around sanitizing equipment, they are at the front desk socializing. The floors aren’t clean, trash on the floor, and towels not restocked frequently. This facility has been reported to the health department .2. The director of fitness is a main concern for issues arising. Kieon, has no concern or respect for anyone who is not making him money off of in his training cult. He is a liability to this facility. As he trains clients, he is constantly on his phone without watching his clients. It is doubtful he is actually licensed with a professional accreditation. And if he is, he should be reported to the board for ethical dilemmas and unprofessionalism;this includes his multiple scandals with female clients and assaults. As well of his lack of concern for safety awareness for clients he is not supervising. Many complaints have been made to the manager Chris, as he tries his hardest. However kieon is friends with the owner, and it is clear the owner has no back bone to address issues with his friend who is costing him business. As a lot of people know, trainers are letting people through the back door to come into the building to train without having an actual membership. Multiple people are going to leave this facility, including myself once a reputable gym opens up across the street.

Be Aware--there is a serious theft problem within the locker room at Sportscenter in High Point !!! My wallet was stolen from a LOCKED locker Sunday 11/8. Assistance from staff was minimal.Security at this “facility” is worse than expected. Apparently anyone can come in , pay a few dollars for a day pass and without a photo being taken then go anywhere in the building doing whatever. Verification of ID and a photo at the time of entering should be the least to expect especially given their knowledge of thievery at the location. THINK !!!!!!!

The problem I have with this place has to do with the pool. It is advertised as an amenity, and thats why I go. Yet, from 4-7 pm, Monday-Friday, the entire pool is unavailable due to swim team practice. This is prime time for the after-work crowd. Its the equivalent of someone renting out the entire weight room every evening for a private workout, so that no one else can use it. It would be different if it were done during down times, but during prime usage time every weekday evening? There should be at least one lane open for general members at all times, considering we are paying for it. When I speak to management about it Im brushed aside. How is this fair? I would recommend that people go to Club Fitness if they want to actually get fair use of the facility they pay for.

I rode out my year long contract here and I cant say that I would recommend it to anyone. You pay a premier price, but youd get the same amenities at any local YMCA. The business side of it is a little shady too, contracts with start-up fees, club enhancement fees, and a list of exceptions to make leaving the gym just a little more difficult. As much as I used the gym, I feel like it was never worth what I was paying.I have since joined a gym with much friendlier customer policies (no contracts, better hours) and nicer equipment for less than a third of the price.

Great place to workout. They have nice equipment, tons of group training classes, personal trainers, and child care. There is a lot more than what I listed, but those are my favorite things. Also, the price is good for what all you get. It’s not overly expensive and definitely affordable for my family of 6.

The music in the main workout room is inappropriate. I have asked about it before and it got better for a bit, but now is back to the same. Music should be something the everyone (the general public) can workout to, without being offended by the words in the songs. I understand that it is hard to find such songs this day in time, but if nothing else, turn down the volume. Maybe the best solution is to just play instrumental music, without any words at all!

Joined this gym today. Having been a member of PF and the YMCA we felt it was time for an upgrade. This place offers an outdoor pool that is open year around as long as you can stand the water temp. Other pools are open 3 months max and you can swim well into beginning of October. Pools in the area are also 500+ dollars for those 3 months. Here you get it all plus more with an exceptionally clean facility. Well worth the money spent if your looking for a gym and a pool.

My Fiancé and I are 4 year members and love it. Even at 5:00pm they are always machines available to get a good lift in. Pickup basketball every Mon, Wed, Sat. Hot tub, sauna, steam room, racquetball, etc.. We have referred a few of our friends and they love it too. Manager Chris is very welcoming and seems to know everyone by name. Great place.

Expensive but great facility. Most of the staff are fantastic - one or two that need a lesson in customer service but overall very engaged with great attitudes. Good selection of classes and times and multiple levels/rooms worth of equipment so you rarely have to wait for anything and can choose a smaller area to workout if youd prefer more seclusion.

The best thing is the crowd is never bad. But for the price, the equipment is kinda dated. Weights are good, but cardio machines have some age for the most part. Most of the TVs have dead lines or pixels going down them now.The freeweight area in the back is never cleaned up. A mirror shattered there, and it was taped over for months before they just made it into a chalkboard wall instead of replacing the mirror. The hours arent great either, Friday nights they close earlier and Sunday hours are too early too.Its a nice big place with a lot to do, but the lack of updates on things for what you pay is bad. Also got kicked out of the back weight room (which is a large room) by a trainer so he could train one person on completely different equipment than I was using. Thats why I decided the $75/month wasnt worth it
