This is a great place to go take care of your teeth. The team was very friendly and the service was fast. I didnt have to wait at all. The cleaning was painless and Dr. Schuck was the first dentist to professionally explain me how to do a proper dental care. Definitely recommend to everyone!

I had major pain and was having a hard time finding a place that was open on Sunday, and also took my insurance. The woman on the phone here, told me yes we take dentaquest. So I drive 30 minutes and show up to the desk and she tells me instantly at the desk that they dont take dentaquest but that we can do the consult anyway(guess she didnt bother to let me know she made the mistake until I was already there. I wonder why). Decided the pain was too irritating so I caved and wasted my time and my money on an xray because the consult led to nothing unless I wanted to pay out of pocket for a root canal, at a different time with there specialist. Make sure if you call this place you speak very slowly, and double check the insurance.

I have used Dr. Schuck for many dental procedures and all of them were great. For one of them, I had a crown replaced by another dentist, who did not do such a great job, and used glue that was very strong and couldn’t get out the crown. Dr. Schuck removed the bad crown for me, replaced it with a new crown and did a perfect job — I can’t even tell it’s there. I have also had 2 of my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Schuck, and my experience was so great that it made me wonder why people say that having their wisdom teeth removed is such a bad experience. Dr. Schuck and everyone else in the office is very friendly, and the doctor always explains to me what each procedure involves. I highly recommend him.

I love this practice! Dr. Schuck is very personable and always does a very thorough assessment of my teeth every time I go in for a cleaning. I have also found it is fairly easy to get a cleaning appointment, compared to some dental practices where you have to schedule your appointment months in advance. I moved away from Long Island and tried to find a dentist in my new neighborhood, but couldnt find one that equaled the quality and attention I receive at this practice. So now I drive an hour and a half back to Long Island for my appointments. Trust me, its worth it!

Dr. Shuck is very knowledgeable and caring. My first visit to the office was for an emergency wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Shuck was so gentle and quick with the process. Experienced zero pain during and after extraction. I was surprised and happy to see that there was no swelling even on the following day. Thats when I decided to continue going to his office. He did a comprehensive examination and recommended appropriate treatment options. After the deep cleaning session which was hardly painful, my condition has drastically improved. Dr. Shuck is very comforting and he works with you to determine the best options. His office staff is very courteous and scheduling appointments is always smooth. Just recently got my teeth whitened here. I didnt know what to expect since I never had my teeth whitened before. But I have to say how excellent the results were. Not a good experience. I am regular with root planing from past 3 years, but to my amazement he said I need deep cleaning(even though I had cleaning just 6 months back) and will be done in two sittings due to my plan, The fun part is that when I went second time he forgot that he has to do deep cleaning and when I reminded him, got an excuse of old age. So I am inclined to not to go again. The only thing I found good was that he is open on weekend in case you need any help in emergency. No recommended for periodic visit.

I needed a last minute appointment on a Sunday afternoon. I searched Google to see if anything was open, and I came across Great Smiles of Hicksville. I called and the secretary who answered the phone was very cordial, and got me an appointment right away. The technician who took my x-rays was very friendly, and gentle. Dr. Schuck was very informative, and was not pushy about any of the suggestions he made in regards to dental work I may need. The staff there are all very welcoming. I like that I was able to get an appointment right away, I like the friendliness of the staff, and I like being able to make decisions about my care without be pushed into anything. Overall a great experience and I will recommend.

Dr. Schuck has been my dentist for several years. He dealt with my phobia in a kind and gentle way and explains thoroughly everything he has to do. He is easy to make an appointment with and fit one of my teenage children in for an emergency appointment without any questions. Highly recommended and capable.

I have been going to this dentist for a little over 2 years and have had a great experience every time. It took me a while to find a good dentist that I could really trust. Recently, I ended up having an infection with one of my wisdom teeth and Dr. Schuck saw me right away. He ended up pulling the tooth and was thorough in his after care instructions. A few days later I called because I was having extreme pain in another area of my mouth and thought it was abnormal. He saw me right away again and assured me that with tooth extractions the pain can radiate to other areas of the mouth. Sure enough the pain gradually faded away. Also he is open on Sundays! Dr. Schuck truly cares about his patients and I am so happy to have finally found a great dentist!

Great service!!! Im always nervous about visiting the dentist as I was today but the staff was amazing. The receptionist was very courteous over the phone as well as in person. Scheduling the appointment was very easy. I went in as a new patient and was very pleased with the cleanliness of the office. They even had little gift for me as new patient!! Dr. Schuck makes you feel very comfortable during the entire procedure. He explains step by step what hes doing, whats next, what you may feel so nothing comes as a surprise. In the past, it always burned when I was given Novocaine, with Dr. Schuck there is no pain. Everyone who works there is wonderful. Wonderful dental experience. Most people would not think thats possible. Dr. Schuck and his staff have a comforting yet efficient approach that have kept me coming every 6 months for the last 7 years. Dr. Schuck always seems to be upgrading to the latest technology and oral care methods. I typically dont like referring a friend or family member to a service for fear if they have a bad experience it will come back to bite me. That being said, Great Smiles is the rare exception that I confidently recommend to anyone I know thats looking for a new dentist.

I was never a fan of going to the dentist, and I usually wait until I have something noticeably wrong. I went to Great Smiles because someone recommended Dr. Schuck when I was experiencing a toothache. When it was obvious to me I could not wait any longer I called for an appointment. The Great Smiles staff is warm and friendly. Dr. Schuck was extremely calming. It turned out I needed a root canal, and after the first appointment I left feeling immediate relief and confident in Dr. Schucks plan. The whole experience was very positive. I dont even mind going for a check up, which I already scheduled.
