I have been using them to go to and from work. Fare has been between 10 and 14 each time. When I asked about the diff in price they told me they miscalculated and would correct it. Yet I get in the cab today and its back UP to the higher fare. And its the SANE driver that drove me the day I called and asked about the fare. He is RUDE and acts like he is doing me a favor. So to make up the extra money they decided to charge me I will no longer tip the driver. Not to mention there is 1 dispatcher who always says 20 min when its actually anywhere from 5 min to an hour wait. And when he answers the phone he doesnt even say HELLO...just picks it up and waits till YOU talk. TERRIBLE SERVICE

Pathetic. If there was an option for a 0 star review, I would give it. Taxi drivers are ok, but the dispatcher is HORRIBLE. The dispatcher snaps at you and is always RUDE. In the mornings, when I need to take an early train into the city, I called this dispatcher who already displayed his moodiness when asked to send a cab as soon as possible. The cab arrives 20 mins late, and then they decide to double up on the ride, and they pick up a different passenger on the way, which made things worse. Not to mention, there seems to be no policy in terms fare, and I ended up doling out 20 bucks to drive 2 miles, not to mention the delays and an extra rider. I missed my train. Dont use this service EVER

I was told my taxi would take an hour. An hour goes by and a taxi pulls up, with a passenger in the car, and the taxi driver said they were there for a different call and that person did t show up. I live 8 minutes by car from the location I was trying to get picked up from, the passenger already in the car was fine with taking me along because I’m on the way to there location. The dispatcher told the taxi driver not to take me. That there was another car coming for me. I called to see where it was and the guy told me it would be there in another 30 minutes and when I asked why the other taxi couldn’t take me he said that “there were other calls” so another person couldn’t wait 8 extra minutes. But I had to wait an extra 30 minutes. Ridiculous.

I never have a problem with them. The drivers are very courteous. I travel mornings and they are always on time. Sometimes at night there is a bit of a wait to get a cab to get home, but never more than 15 minutes.

This place is awful. They try to overcharge you and by A LOT. Do not use them. Then they waste your time coming up with “wages” that are very inaccurate. They are rude, incompetent, and truly try to take your money. It’s ridiculous. They deserve all these negative ratings.

There is nothing good about this cab company. They are never on time and the drivers are very rude!!!! Once a driver didnt even let me get out of the car before he started to drive off. Yes Oyster is 2 dollars more but they are definitely worth it! Do not use yellow cab unless you do not have anywhere important to go.

Be careful!!! If you want to choose this cab company you are making a wrong decision. The dispatch loves to give you wrong prices and then when you call him up to tell them the real price and what they usually charge they’ll hang up on you. But right before they hang up on you, they’ going to call you broke

Driver ran through stop signs. Yelled at passengers. He had no idea what he was doing and should be fired. In fact, this whole company should be put out of business. The BBB or the police should get involved. This is ridiculous. For your own safety and well being, dont use this service.

I have never actually posted a review before for a place I didnt like, because I know people have their bad days, and i dont like to harp on the negative. But today it is at least 5 degrees below freezing, its dark out, and theres ice on the ground. When I got to the LL Yellow Cab station they could not quote me when the next cab would come. I did not want to be dishonest or waste the drivers time, so I said I was thinking I might try to get an Uber if it was closer and apologized. I then asked if he knew the name of the street corner I was at, because Im from Queens and not Long Island. This was the first time Ive ever been to Hicksville. He literally laughed and said he wouldnt tell me the name of the street if I was planning to take an Uber. I thought he was kidding, and asked again... Apparently he was serious. So I tripped through the ice and snow to the corner and stood there in the dark attempting to find a street sign on my own. I work with people all day long, I do understand that people have rough days, but in a million years I would never have said something like this to someone. This was the first person I had ever spoken to and Hicksville, and if I ever come back to this town or anywhere in Long Island I dont care how long I have to wait, I will not be taking this car service.

The worst cab company when it is bad weather. Please use Uber or Lyfte. It might be more money but at least u will not have to wait an hour for a ride.

Driver picked up my mom(senior) and driver was so rude. She couldnt open the door and driver was annoyed that he had to get out and help her. Shouldnt he have opened the door for her anyway? She suggested a certain route and his answer was lady I have been driving for over 20 years, dont tell me how to drive. This is the worst cab company I have ever heard of

Highly incompetent and rude people on the phone. The people behind the phone are highly unorganized and pathetic!!! the drivers are really nice... but due to the incompetency of the dispatchers... one usually has to wait an hour before getting the cab! I missed my trains a number of times!!!! I am joing the group of people who will never ever do business with these people again!!! There should be a way for us to file consumer complains against such service

I arrived here after taking the wrong train on Friday night Saturday morning, phone was dead so before seeing if we needed to get a cab I wanted to charge my phone. Came into the dispatch center and the person behind the counter said ladies what do you think this is a hotel. Explained we got on the wrong train,Two girls phone dead. And just needed to use the outlet for 5 minutes. He told us no and to leave. Nastiest human being what a disgrace.

Terrible experience! The driver lied to me and told me that I must pay at least $4 as tips! I called the company and I was told that I would be called when they found out what happened?!! Guess what? The absolute worst experience ever ! They do not let ypu pay after, only on the spot especially if you are going far. None of this was indicated to me beforehand so the driver arrived and had to leave because i didnt have the cash at hand my boyfriend was going to pay . They literally wasted my time and the drivers over some miscommunication. Absolutely ridiculous . If your going far from the area this is not the best option to call !

When I lived in Jericho our housekeeper and I often used this sorry company because it was the only cab co. in town.Is that dispatcher-driver Doggy still working there?What a creep!! Hitting on females of all ages, smoking in the car, speeding, screaming at customers at the top of his lungs, cursing, racial epithets, stealing by overcharging, seemed dwi at times. I witnessed it all.We had other drivers telling us to call and complain, which we did many times, nothing happened. The owner and managers of Long Island Yellow Cab are a total disgrace!

Horrible! I called for a cab to pick me up early the next morning and 30 minutes later they were waiting to pick me up. However, when I scheduled to get picked up they didnt show up and I had to drive myself and pay for long term parking at the train station. Id rather run then use this company.

The service is absolutely trash and never ever ever get on those taxis, u will regret for it. The cab is suppose to come at 3 and it never came so at 3:15 i called the taxi place and complained about it as I was going to a train station and the time was well-calculated by me. The person that answers my phone is the rudest person I have ever encountered and I asked him why the cab hasnt come yet and he made it sound like it was perfectly normal that the cab would come late and not to come on time. As I further complained, the guy just shut the phone right at my face. Is that even considered to be a service cooperation, cabs r suppose to come on time and people working within this service had to be nice, instead this crappy taxi cooperation doesnt have either. At least the cab came with a 30mins delay, and I missed my train. What a horrible service it is. Really crappy!

Three separate times Ive been charged a higher amount by the driver than what I was originally quoted over the phone. Never again. Cab companies like this one are exactly why uber is flourishing.

This is the poorest service I ever received from a company and completely unprofessional... they make you wait then they have u almost to your destination and they send the driver to pick up another customer while you are in the cab. He then told the taxi driver to leave since I wasnt ready but never sent another taxi to pick me up and then he cancelled my request completely. It took 15 minutes for another driver to arrive after I called back again. When I got in the car, he said he had been sitting at the train station for 20 minutes waiting for a job. Literally one of the worst customer experiences Ive had. They told me 15 to 20 mins so after no one arrived after 40 mins I called them back. After being on hold for 5 mins a man named johnny berated me for missing the cab which he said was at my house 20 mins ago and layed on the horn for 5 mins before leaving. He yelled for a bit asking if I lived in the basement or if I bothered to look for the cab. I told him that no I live on the side of the house and was by the door, which I was and I would have had no problem hearing someone laying on their horn outside. They also had my number which they did not call to which johnny snapped back that you have to request that. So if no one comes when the cab arrives they dont think to call the person on their own? So anyway he asked my address again and surprise! There are two streets with the same name in my neighborhood. Which was crazy to me that they didnt clarify originally. I told him which one it was and with a much different attitude said the cab had been at that one, which lead me to believe he was full of it and that the cab didnt go to the correct one. So he told me at least 15 mins for another cab to come. I waited for 30 mins outside and called back. I asked for johnny since he would remember me and was told he wasnt there. So I gave the woman my address and heard johnny in the background say 2 mins. What a nightmare. If you have any other option than taking one of their cabs, do it.

Costed $20 for an 8 min ride to South Syosset. I have gotten it for much less before. Maybe because it was on a weekend around 2:20am but the pricing is outrageous.

I give it 1 star because it got me to my destination. Other than that the experience was awful. I arrived late (1 am) and my phone died so I had no other way of getting home. Though the service was rude, my biggest complaint was the price for the service. I was put in the car with 2 other people going in different destinations, however I was still paying a premium ($40 to Freeport) as if traveling alone. If Uber is available and near, please take Uber or call another taxi company.

I took cab from hicksville station to my house and told the driver i didnt feel good and he drove careful.

These guys man let me tell you. Never rely on them to get you anywhere on time. They have failed me constantly during normal business hours and always claim to be under staffed. I waited at a location in broad day light for 35mins just to call them back and ask where my driver was. The driver apparently didnt think to circle the premises which was on an open lot. I call again to complain and again I am left there for another 30 mins. A whole hour of my life gone and plans ruined on account of pure incompetence. No less the location I was at was maybe no more than a mile and a half away from their base of operations. Unless you are hopping off the LIRR just do not bother with giving them your hard earned dollar. As a former constant customer they have let me down for the last time. I pray Uber will be allowed to service Nassau county soon and put these roody poo businesses in the ground.

Horrible. Scammers. Tried to put put me and colleague with luggage in a car with two others. We requested another cab and they said it would be a different rate for a private car. Said theyre the biggest cab company in the area and can do that. The previous day there was no private car rate... Ordered an Uber and will never use these crooks again.

I called 5:11 PM on a light snowy day, I was told it will take 5-30 mins - ok cool. Then 5:45 came I called back to make sure someone was still coming, the dispatcher said yes hes on his way, the roads are slippery he will be there shortly I replied back understandable, thank you. 40 mins later I called back thinking why is this taking long Im in Plainview going to Hicksville, a different dispatcher picked up & I told him its been almost 2 hours what is going on with my cab? He replied Theres nobody going that way so we have to wait for a driver to come in. I told him So basically Im going to have to wait for another hour since you cant tell me whens the next cab coming, why would the other dispatcher tell me there was 1 on his way & that it will only take 5-30 mins top for a driver to pick me up? Worst cab company Ive ever used. Had a 9:30am meeting for work. I got my cab at 9:10 at my hotel, about 10 minutes after calling at 9:00. Then they picked up several other people in the cab in different neighborhoods. I sat and waited till we dropped a little girl to school, and then another two people to train stations. Didnt get to my office till 10. Never use this service if they continue using their carpool strategy. Felt bad for the driver since he just follows orders. This taxi company is unprofessional. The customer service is trash, the people who work the phones are rude and give false arrival times. They made me late to my job multiple times. Do not use this Taxi, or youll end up regretting it.

Dispatcher told us $55 to drive 4 mikes on New Years Eve. When we get in the car the driver tells us $100. When we questioned him he started driving erratically and threatened to take us back. Theyre crooked and disgusting and threatened us with a possible DWI. talk about taking advantage.
