Took my car there to have fixed.. they changed the tcm charged me $1100. And didn’t fix the problem… car has been even worse since I brought it them. 3 times and still having the same issues. I wouldn’t go there if I were you!

Im very satisfied with the work Kens A1 recently did on my 2002 crewcab F250 turbo diesel. With 418,000 miles on this truck a good mechanic is definitely needed to keep her on the road.. Shes a big heavy duty truck most shops dont have lifts capable of lifting such a heavy & long truck.They had a large wrecker come tow my vehicle since my tie rod snapped, and had the vehicle back to me in less than 48 hours. I was extremely happy when I didnt have any other additional parts or labor on the bill. I asked them to replace a steering component I thought was bad. The mechanic said not only was that part good, so were the other components I was wprried about (ball-joints & u-joints).With this struggling economy its hard to find a shop thats not trying to squeeze you when they have the opportunity to do so. Kens A1 were honest on their bill and inspected my vehicle for any other possible potential issues.This shop has my trust and my business for the lifeThanks for the great work guys...Update:Took my VW to Kens for some work that nobody else in town knew how to do. Friendly staff. Had our car in and out in 3 hours. Went for a balance for the kids car and left with many new parts but now its safer for when she drives in the Minnesota Indy everyday to work!

DO NOT trust this place to tow your vehicle if you want it back in one piece. Received said vehicle back dented and scratched. All the owner did was deny it. DO NOT GO HERE

Excellent Service! I received estimates in Minneapolis (at my cars dealership and an import repair shop) for two repairs my car needed. Both estimates totaled approximately $1200.00+. I was in town, and brought my car to Kens A-1. My car was repaired for a small fraction of the cost. Also, I got it back the same day. I cannot say enough about the service I received.It was a nice feeling to be dealt with in a professional and honest manner. I will use them again and encourage my friends and family to do the same.

On a family camping trip up to Tower, and our truck lost all power right outside Hibbing on highway 169, called Ken’s A-1 Auto Service and they sent a tow truck out to get us right away. The staff was helpful, but when my boyfriend told them to check on parts prior to him bringing his car in they didnt. They never called an left him a message saying they werent going to do the work so when he got there after work he was shocked. I dont think we will go back there for any repairs.

Ive been here a few times in my life to get work done on my vehicles. Always did a great job. If there was a problem that arises after driving my vehicle out thats related to what was fixed by them they were quick to respond to it and fix the problem without charging me. A big plus to Kens was the loaner cars that was nice, but unfortunately theyre not doing that no more which was a big plus. I hope one day guys go back to offering loaners because that was a big perk. Great staff. I recommend this place to anybody.

Kens replaced the motor on my 2001 Camry. The motor ran fine, except I had a problemwith the motor dying out at stop signs, stop lights, etc. When I told Kens about the problem, they immediately told me to bring it in. All parts involved with the throttle were replacedfree of charge. They even fixed an emissions problem which was unrelated to the motorchange and didnt charge me. Car is running super now. Kens has taken care of my vehiclesfor over 30 years. To put it simply, I trust them. I have never had a complaint about theirservice or professionalism. They have earned the highest rating possible. I appreciatehaving a local shop which demonstrates integrity that one can have confidence in whenneeding advice about auto maintaintence.

So I took my truck in to get fix and pay over $300 and my truck is not fix like how you gonna call and say ok come get your truck its fix and its not it is still not switching gears most places test and double check to make sure that fix the right problem and that its fix

I will never bring another vehicle there again. They didnt fix what I asked them to fix and fix something I didnt ask to be fix! I knew this before I left the parking lot as soon as I started my car! I could still hear the noise in my motor! I went back in to the shop and talked to the mechanic and he spoke to Ken and Ken wouldnt come to talk to me about it. Still paid $400 For my car and it wasnt fixed. This was about 14 years ago and Ive done business with Daves west Howard auto ever since!
