Mr.Hersh himself came to the house I was going to move into because I found a bed bug, and even showed him the picture, he walked around with a flash light and said he didn’t see any evidence. Well I went with my first mind and didn’t move my stuff in and called for a second opinion and to my surprise she found old droppings in the same places he looked, well after a whole month and thousands of dollar’s later The house is ready to be lived in. Now let me say he was very polite and well mannered but I think if someone is paying out there hard earned money we should be able to trust your word, basically I feel as if I paid just for a very friendly visit
We found what we thought and what they thought were bed bugs a couple years ago. An older gentleman came out asked a lot of questions and said he thought we could have bat bugs instead. (Identical until you put them under a microscope) He said he didnt want to take our thousands of dollars to do a heat treatment if we didnt need it. He set a few traps up and eventually caught a couple. They put them under the microscope and said they were in fact bat bugs which cant reproduce from human blood and only bite humans as a last resort. We had bats in the attic and the bat bugs cant live in extreme heat. We didnt have air conditioning and this all started one of the hottest weeks of the year. We got rid of the bats, sealed the attic and are stress-free thanks to Hersh. We didnt even get billed for the house call or them examining the bugs. This was after two other exterminators came out and quoted us 2 to $3,000 for a heat treatment. Its good to know theres knowledgeable and honest people out there. Thanks guys.
Just had David stop out to look at a potential issue. Assured it was nothing to worry about. Gave advice on how to monitor. Did not try to sell anything. Very professional and classy operation. Showed up between the time mentioned. Would call again.

I gave them a call and he came out the next day. I thought I had a wood Beetle infestation but he told me after looking over the house no, just dirt working its way in. My basement is half in the ground. I asked him what I owed him, he said nothing, because he didnt do anything. I tried to pay him for his time anyway. I tried to give him $40 but he would not take it. Though he did nothing here, he proved to me that this is a company that I can trust. I will recommend him to friends and I will call him if I need an exterminator. David Hersh was the Exterminator that came out. Five stars without a doubt

So about a few months ago I hired Hersh Exterminating to help keep away the carpenter ants and other bugs that come back in the summer. I hate bugs of all types. Anyhow, we started seeing those tiny sugar ants in the kitchen, so I called them out to handle it. One of the exterminators had put a gel type substance called “Advion Ant Gel” on top of my counters. I remember specifically asking her “are you putting that anywhere where my kids can get it?” She said no and that was that. This was back in the beginning of June.A few days ago my mom had saw Avery eat something by the counters, but we didn’t think anything of it and figured it was butcher block oil left over under the counter top ledge. (I use a food safety non toxic oil to oil my butcher block and sometimes there’s residue under the counter from it). We figured she found that. Well, this morning I saw her walk by and swipe her hand under the counter top and eat what was there (my kid is 2 years old and being tested for autism, so remember that). When I grabbed a towel to wipe it up and wash her hands off, I noticed it wasn’t butcher block oil!!!! It was that Freaking Advion Ant Gel!!!! I’m so ticked off right now.This company was not at all sympathetic that they could’ve actually killed my kid. They could’ve severely harmed her health and no one apologized. They spent there time on the phone with me assuring me in small doses it wouldn’t hurt my baby. My baby! My baby digested a toxic substance that shouldn’t have been anywhere they could reach it. Then after an hour or more of calling her pediatrician and poison control, I called the company back to cancel my service. Poison control had informed me I’m lucky my baby didn’t get sick, but as for long term effects (like organ problems or even cancer) we’ll never know until the time comes. I can’t trust Hersh after this. And when I canceled they did a 360 and treated me like garbage for canceling!!! No refund, no apologies, no sympathy. #HershExterminating saying I’m so disappointed in you right now would be an understatement.
Hersh Exterminating is a great Company to work with. Shane is our technician and he is always very professional and pleasant. I love how convenient they are and that they have us on a set schedule. I will always refer Hershs.

Ive used Hersh Exterminating for a number of years. Our house sits on an acre of wooded land...an invitation to all kinds of life we dont want in our house. With Hershs services on a quarterly basis, we are very pleased with the lack of unwanted guests. They always notify us when its time for the next service, are easy to schedule with and do a thorough job. The technician is always friendly, respectful of our property and alerts us to potential problems we arent even aware of. My husband and I highly recommend them.

EJ is awesome. A competitor came knocking on my door just 5 days ago and I told them no thanks because I trust EJ and Hersh 100%. EJ is more than a contractor he wants to know about you so he can service you right and he is a friend. You don’t get that kind of personal connections often but when you do you want to do business with them.
They are disrespectful of your furniture. The stuff that they used to spray with dripped on my floor in the kitchen. I wiped it up with paper towel and kind of smelled it to see how strong it was there is no smell like it was water.???
