We want to commend Action Tree Pros for the excellent job they did removing a large walnut tree from our front lawn. The crew did an excellent job making sure not to make tire ruts in our lawn AND once the tree was removed the lawn was raked of any remaining residue. Contacted Action Tree Pros on short notice to have a very large tree removed that had fallen on a family members building during a storm. Nick was able to get a crew out very quickly and was able to get the entire tree and stump removed. The guys were even able to repair the roof damage. Nice price. Do not fall for that. Stated dates to do the job, continue doing the job, finish the job were usually not met Took several calls to get them to finish. BUT the deal included grinding the stumps, which was not done. Instead covered them up with word chips. Attempts to text ATP have not received any response. So in the end, it is going to cost me the same as the higher estimates.

This is the worst business I have ever encountered in my life! The owner Mr N Downey is a con artist and a complete scam! He wants you to pay a down payment for services, then he can not complete the job. He left huge tress dropped in my yard for weeks with no sight of cleaning up.We gave him multiple chances to fix his messes and were met with broken promises every time.When we finally “fired” him, he tried to use strong arm techniques saying he will take us to court if we didn’t pay more to him. Even though we already paid him $5000 and the job wasn’t close to being completed. So good luck with that Mr Downey. He prays on elderly and is a bully with every thing he does.STAY AWAY from any thing Nick Downey does at ALL COSTS!!

They are so crooked. Stay away at all costs. They will quote you one price and then when the work is done. They will tell you a completely different price that is considerably more.

Tree was cut down safely. The reason I can only give them 3 stars is because they tore up my yard. Nick did make an effort to fix it but the fix was not done very well. The yard is still full of ruts. They also left trash, cigarette butts and pieces of wire in my yard which tore up my lawnmower.

Very difficult to do business with. We have supported them with emergency equipment and Mr Nick Downey has refused to send our rental equipment back and pay his late fees for the equipment. We have called numerous times and have sent numerous emails with no reply. Every time you call the number listed for them it rings and goes to a voice mail. If a business runs like this and treats other businesses in such a way, you may want to reconsider before using them for your services.

BE WARE - Nick is a CONMAN. Nick does not speak the truth, he does not pay his bills, he does not show up at all, he is a bully and brings a bad name to Henderson, Kentucky.

Nick Downey does not pay his employees. Had to get a lawyer to sue him for my wages. Beware by using him or working for him

Scam artists, conned us into paying before they did the work then didnt show up for a week, did half what they said they would and left. Now they wont answer the phone.

The job was to remove a tree and grind the stump. Not rutting my yard and trashing it with cigarette butts. Sober employees should be a must in such a dangerous job but in this case. I asked for a price for the tree and stump. When the tree was done the boss asked me if I wanted them to grind the stump (the other shoe dropped) well, yes, that was our agreement. This isnt worth my anger so I conceded and said grind it. over an hour later I asked the operator (meth) and he told me ALOT of things. the first that I was being charged $13/in and they wouldnt remove the tree mulch. An hour later I asked what was taking so long. Well Meth was grinding not just the stump, but an additional few feet to get all the roots (that were underground.) I just held my head and went inside. Meth did give me his number and offer to do the grinding on the weekend for $100 and his boss lets him do that on the weekends. I said no, I mean (meth.) but all said and done the price was almost double when they were done with their little grind con. smh. Atleast, they did cut the tree down?

Charging $80,000 to remove 5 trees after a hurricane hit? You got to be kidding me. You are a very low life person. Dont forget about the estimate of $5000 then sent a check for $11K. These guys are con-men, theyll do anything to take your money. Dont try removing my comment, itll keep getting put back up.

Nick was selling a chainsaw online for a fair deal. Took money and never sent chainsaw be advised what type of guy you are hiring.

We had some damage from a few trees last month from the storm, and Action Tree removed the trees and also cut one back that looked like it was next to fall. The crew was professional and worked hard.

Beware! He Is A Con Man!! Do Not Hire Him To Do Anything! He Didnt Pay Me For Work We Did For Him and He Was Trying To Get My Chipper From Me! Luckily I Read About Him And Didnt Take My Chipper To The Job !
