We were impressed by the quality of the work and appreciated that they started and ended the project on schedule so we could plan the rest of our week. I had 2 basement windows and my front door replaced by Unified Home Remodeling. I first shopped my door at other places that just didnt care about my one door. Unified came in with a better door at a much better price. I was so happy with them that I bought the basement windows from them too. Installations went well. Door was tricky but Anthony was up to the task. I would recommend Unified.

We waited 6 months for 7 windows. The installers were awful, ruined my walls, were messy, amd delivered 3 wrong windows.I used them 15 years ago and were happy, not this time . I would never recommend them.I’m so angry, now I have to fix my walls.

The Unified Home Remodeling team did an excellent job on our home. They changed the entire roof in one day and left everything clean. Thanks to all the Unified staff who worked with us on our roof replacement project.

Cannot say enough good things about the team at Unified. They recently replaced our siding and we couldn’t be happier with the wrk they did. When we first decided on this project, I called a few different companies to give us estimates. Unified had the best pricing of all of them. I know this may cause people to pause and say “They are using low end materials,” but that was not the case. Most of the companies we brought in offered the same types of siding which shows that Unified is giving you a fair price and not ripping you off. The crew who did the install was incredibly professional. There wrk was immaculate. I absolutely recommend them to anyone.

We used Unified to replace all 26 windows in our home. After waiting 5 months for them which is totally understandable because of COVID. We had an installation scheduled for 7/14 and 7/15. 2 windows were missing from the order and I guess not noticed till day of the installation. One of the missing windows was the front window. Obviously not happy the job was not going to be completed in the 2 days that was scheduled and not being aware of the missing windows till last minute I called the office to see what was going on. Vish who is chief of something at Unified was the most disrespectful man and did not care about the inconvenience he caused my family and said to me you can’t make everyone happy, I have people begging me to start work and you’re complaining about 2 windows. Yes I am complaining that you scheduled a job and didn’t have all the materials causing me to take off additional time off from work, and finding child care and dog care. I’m complaining about how unprofessional he was to a paying customer, yelling and interrupting me when all I wanted was answers. How you discovered missing windows day of installation and not knowing when the remaining windows would be delivered. You would think since it’s the company’s mistake and not the customer he would be nicer. It is a shame because the windows came out great and the installers were wonderful and so professional. But because of this one individual I will not be using Unified in the future for any projects that do come up.

We had new siding and front door done in January 2020. The job looks nice. However, we found several hundred nails in the lawn after the siding installation. No leftover siding was left.In February 2021 we had some very minor damage after the snow storm. When we reached out to Unified we were told We don’t do siding repairs as part of our business. We would have to drive to NJ to buy a single piece and get someone else to install it. There was NO offer to attempt to get us a single piece when they were doing another job with the same siding.I wouldnt call this customer service.UPDATE: Unified is telling me to remove negative comments. If you dont see negative comments, dont assume there arent any.

My wife and I recently chose Unified to do our roof and siding. Mike, the salesman we dealt with has been very friendly and knowledgeable and was able to get our roof installation scheduled quickly since weve had multiple leaks and issues with the existing roof. Every interaction I have had when either dealing with Mike or speaking to other employees over the phone has been friendly and helpful.The reason for my less than stellar review is due to the quality of work of the people who installed our roof. At the time of writing this review we have only had our roof done and what I found makes me nervous about our upcoming siding installation. Despite having at least two people there that seemed to be dedicated to cleaning up debris I spent at least 15 minutes walking around my property cleaning up scraps of shingles, nails, plastic wrappers and scraps of metal from the chimney flashing. They also decided to dump the majority of the old roof that was being torn off directly onto our front steps before picking it up and bringing it to their truck and since they didnt do a good job of checking for loose nails I found multiple old rusty nails that could have easily injured someone walking to our front door. This is all especially concerning because we have a 9 month old who is starting to walk and I wouldnt feel comfortable letting him onto our lawn until I can double check things with a magnet. I understand that contractors doing this kind of work are not going to find every tiny item left over but the reason I had to inspect my lawn was because I could see pieces of metal from my first floor window which were missed because they either didnt take the time to look or didnt care . Add to this the pieces of garbage left on our lawn from when they took their break and the fact that they broke the solar panel used for our outdoor light without mentioning it to anyone before leaving and I am extremely unsatisfied, especially since they finished working at around 3:30pm and theres no reason they couldnt have taken a few extra minutes to check things over one last time. After seeing all of this I am hoping that the actual work that was done is good and I am really hoping that I never have a reason to contact Unified about problems.

Unified was recommended to me by a friend who was very satisfied with their work on a bay window. When I needed a replacement for my very old and drafty kitchen window, I turned to Unified for a solution. The receptionist who took my request was courteous and arranged a timely in house estimate in spite of the pandemic. The estimator explained the process and the replacement window was custom made. The installation process was swift, and the installers cleaned up the debris. I love my new window. My kitchen is about 5 degrees warmer than previously and the window looks beautiful.I am very satisfied with Unified’s work and product and highly recommend them.

DO NOT GIVE UNIFIED A DEPOSIT! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! In January, a Unified sales person came to home as quoted $12,687 to replace 5 windows. Instead of taking a deposit, he charged the entire amount to my card. Unified admitted that they overcharged me and said they would issue a refund for the overcharged amount, but 4+ months later, they have not refunded a penny. As I started to get suspicious about this company, I started looking online and found a pattern of consumer complaints, similar to the one that I am writing now, with Unified Consumers complaining of poor service & quality. I only wish that i had taken the time to find and read these negative reviews before i gave them money. After seeing these numerous 1 start ratings and unhappy Uniifed customers, I consulted with a qualified engineer. The engineer informed me that Unified misrepresented the job. I have wood framed windows and Unified, which promised that my windows would be the same as what I have now, is using vinyl, which is poor quality, and subject to warping over time. The engineer further informed me that many aspects of Unifieds contract is illegal. While they told me ~8 weeks to finish the job, there was no finish date on the contract. An open ended contract is illegal in the state of New York.As I cannot have a company like this damage the quality of my home, I cancelled the job. I even offered to pay Unified for any actual costs they incurred or any actual work theyve done. I was shocked to find out that 17 weeks after I paid them 105% of the $12,687 - they had not done any work, they had not started the job, they had not done any work, they had not performed any of the services that i contracted them for. They have not returned or refunded my money. They are keeping 100% of my $12,687 without doing anything. I tried to resolve this amicably with them and they responded in a threatening manner. DO NOT GIVE UNIFIED MONEY.!

Signed and give the deposit in October 2020 promise that wasn’t going to take more than 3 months because of the pandemic, called several times and was always the same answer we don’t know when the windows are going to be ready, finally they give us the installation day April 23th 2021 at 8 am , the day of installation Unifided called us and said that one worker called sick and they told us that probably they come for installing the windows in 2 weeks that means May 7 2021. Other windows company did not blame of the pandemic they did in the time that they promise. The funny thing is this company keeps book work do estimated and let customers sign the contract and collect the down payment .and live the people waiting for months without any apology.Thanks for the response on my review. This is not my case the office never let me sign a paper for the COVID-19 more than 7 months is a very Long time for finish a job. I constantly contact Unifided almost every week after February not just the office but the vendor man and the president Chase that he never called me back.

I wanted to have new screen doors installed on the front and back of my house. Unified installed both quickly without any issues. We are very pleased and will use them in the future for our other home projects.

We went in to look for replacement windows at Unified Home Remodeling. Thomas was very professional. He helped us to find the perfect windows for our home. He gave us choices of grids to make our front windows fancy. We left feeling we had a good buy.

Very good product at a competitive price as installed. The installer did a great job and capped it well. He replaced the vent line very well. I would recommend UNITED as a good company to deal with. The reason I did not give it 5 Stars was I believe that proactively a recommendation should have been made to me, prior to installation, to order some foam caulking under the capping. I have no problem but feel in this day additional insulation is a good idea and would have been a very cheap extra.

I send email after email, filled out the form with all my contact information and I never got a call, email, text or message, or anyone contact me at all.

In the beginning what made me choose the company was the positive reviews and the sales agent. The sales agent was very knowledgeable,patient and answered all my questions. So I decided to purchase the Door. The first issue was they reschedule the door measurements with no consideration that I took my day off from work. They did not work around my schedule to reschedule so I had to lose another day off. The second issue I had was with the customer service representative RAVEN was rude when I called to inquire about when the door might be installed.she said did I not speak to you last week already. I explained to her No. Then she said with an attitude the way is looking it wont happend untill January and its only been 5 weeks. Im unable to cancel as per RAVEN because when everything was talked they made us believe it will only take 8 weeks. Im already on my 8th week and the representative still has not call me with a date of installation. I understand we are going through covid but Raven could show some type of good customer service.

I have purchased from this vendor many times in the past. Two clips from my security door broke. A very nice man explained that they didnt sell parts. When I told him I bought the door there years ago, he immediately produced a card with a number for parts, adjustments and repairs.It was after 5 by the time I called. Lets see if they call me back within 24 hours as promised.

Excellent service by Juan Carlos Garcia who was very knowledgeable and responsive. Windows were installed quickly and efficiently. Siding was also done by large crew in a couple days and it looks great. Ramon addressed all concerns at site. Great service, quality and price. I would use Unified for future projects.

I got a pair of double hung windows installed. Windows are OK and very simple looking. The installation was also OK. But didnt keep their appointment. They said they only install on week days and therefore I took A-day off from work and stayed home and also confirmed the day before and they still did not show up. It cost me a work day. And then of course they came on weekend to install even though they lied in the beginning that they do not install on weekends. So before you hire them make sure you put it in the contract that if they miss Appointment you will get your deposit back. And give as less deposit as you can. Because once they have your deposit they got you and didnt care.

Horrible professionalism.After few years I am still picking up nails after roof job they did.Also they did not do the vents as promised on the contract. The gutters used were not correct. Did not have leave guards. Whem calling them they spoke to me like some type of mafia over the phone. Stay away from them.

So far so good...We got measured and picked out the style of windows we want.Our salesman Stu was straight forward... No BS or sales tactics.

This company is not good. I want to install a garage door.They went my garage without inform me. They charged me money for job that they did not performed. When I called the office any spoke with the manager he did not want to refund my money. I called the cooperate office and I explained the situation then they refund my money.

Just had a unified rep at our house yo replace a window that had condensation in the panes. He was very honest and told us we didnt need to spend 400 on anew window we just needed to bring the widow and have the glass replaced. Want to thank Anthony, for being so honest. He just saved us over 300 dollars. Thank you for your great customer service. We will sure recommend your honest company to others.

Not very happy. Basically blew off my request for service.

The salesman said that all wood framing would be replaced, it wasnt, it was capped. The installer did not cut a notch in the storm door frame where the door bell wires come out of the wall leaving the door bell wiring exposed and the door bell hanging. Had he notched it I couldve installed the door bell myself. Wendel Homes did both for my front door.

I used UNIFIED a number of times, for window replacements, a new garage door, a new front door, and most recently, re-siding the front of my house. Ive always been impressed with them (which is why I keep calling them for new home improvement projects). They easy to work with, come when they say they will, do what they say they will, clean up after the project, perform high quality work, and pleasant to have in/around your home. Theyve also been very flexible with me in executing the project. On more than one occasion, Ive had some custom requests and theyve always been more than happy to accommodate. They can be slightly higher in price than competitors, but given the work goes off every time without a hitch, Im happy to pay a slight premium and have the work done right..

Unified Windows is hands down the best in the business! Michael was such a great help. He sent some of his guys quickly to do all the measurements, we went through our options and my wife and I were presently surprised what the cost of everything was going to be for the windows. I mean you hear them all over the Radio and TV. We even thought we had an issue because our side fence post is right in front of one of the windows we were replacing. They were still able to do a great job and install them all with no problems. They did not even have to cut our gate and remake it. Unified, (Hempstead) replaced the roof windows and siding on my home, it was determined that prior to the siding being installed the plastic wrap (Tvek) wasnt installed creating a wind shield barrier. Ironically the day the siding was installed was the only day I wasnt able to be around to see how things were being done. Needless to say the energy efficiency is now compromised since air can penetrate the exterior shell.Unless you can be around to watch the installation beware, shortcuts will be taken.

I came to find unified after a very bad experience with another window manufacturer and installer. Unified made everything perfect. You could not ask for a better company to deal with. I have used them twice so far and my parents have use them, I will be using this company again in the future.

From the beginning to the end they were 100% professional and friendly. Never hesitated to answer questions, gave suggestions and advice but no hard sell. We used Unified to purchase and install a new garage door a couple of years ago, we had such a great experience then we decided to go with them for our new patio sliding door. The workers definitely know what they are doing and they leave the work area immaculate. We have recommended Unified to friends and family already and will continue to do so as well as use them ourselves.

I saw that my neighbors were getting work done by Unified so I decided to give them a call. I had a salesman come out in mid-March to tell me how much it would cost to get an awning and a new entry door. The prices were very cheap and reasonable. Once the contract was signed, workers came out to measure and a couple of weeks later Unified was there for the installation process. Very quick and easy.

Best price around for the best Quality. The selection is great, the prices are better. I was given this site by a friend and I cant say that I have seen any other site cheaper. Excellent Service! Thank you for responding to my review. I updated my review and removed pipes. However, you still did not response to my complaint. The panels were not nailed to the studs. Please see the attached installation manual.2018 08Unified windows replaced my siding. The siding panels are supposed to be nailed to studs. But the people work for unified just hammered nails everywhere. Into walls, ducts.

Terrible place. They messed us over on the install and the door is terrible. Falling apart and no one ever answers when I reach out.

No one in the customer area had to call out.The products I purchased are having issues they scheduled a date to come see. The air pressure closures are developing rust spots on the exposed metal, the front door will not close past the strike plate. I had to remove the plate to make sure the door actually closed and be secure. I believe the door is a bit to small for the frame, its not flush so it would make sense that the door isnt closing properly.And so far 2 screw heads on the hinge side have sheared off, under normal use of the other door.There is a warranty so hopefully that all will be fixed.

Unified is a company that I have worked with a number of times. I got a new door last year, and roofing this year. They always make sure to set me up with the same salesman named David. He is always so helpful and gets things done quickly. Would definitely recommend this company.

I cannot honestly say I like them or dislike them. They are difficult to work with. It seems to me that no one runs unified, each department doesnt talk to the other, and this is difficult to deal with.Our install from the beginning was delayed from jump. After two years everything used to make and install the door, had come apart.It cost us 75 dollars to have the repair team come out to take a look at the door. The wires used to install the door were shotti, the nuts and bolts had no lock washers installed causing constant issues with it coming of the track and being reliable.It takes no less then two weeks to get an appointment, and if something goes wrong it will be another two weeks to get an appointment so a month goes by and your door still doesnt work.Costumer service is lack luster as you can hear in there voices that they know this about unified. And can only do damage control.Over all this is my opinion on how we were delt with.

I purchased windows 9 years ago with Unified. One of my windows was cracked from a golf ball. This was a repair. I was afraid this was not going to go well. The window was installed. The glass had a small imperfection. They had to reinstall.They gave me no problems whatsoever. Tom the installer Is very professional. He worked in 98 degree temperatures no complaints. This kind of customer care has me believing Unified is the best window company on Long Island period.

Unified re-sided my home, set up some home windows, as well as changed my garage door and did a fantastic work all around. Their prices were affordable as well as they also worked with me to allow me to do extra work I believed I might not afford. Their crews were courteous and respectful, and most significantly, dealt with us when we requested for small modifications to their job. Their head of state, Mr. Peres, also concerned my house himself to fix a misunderstanding in the method I desired my front home window done. I have appointment for installation on Monday I called today on Saturday that I had family problem a death in the family. I ask to change the installation date. I got a manger fisher on the phone and he told me that he can’t do it that the men have to come because of short notice. He told me that I have to pay the bill in full In order to cancel and make another appointment for installation. Because the order has been since January. They called me 3 week ago with the installation day. They told me it has been to long. They have no heart they just want there money. Do not order from these people. I have to be home instead of attend my family funeral. That is not right.

They did a fair job but are difficult to deal with and do not communicate unless you reach out and even then answers are vague. Joe, the project manager is unprofessional and will act tough on the phone till they make a mistake. When they made an error he quickly pawned off addressing the issue to his secretary and didnt apologize. Also, Mike the estimator may promise you a false start date to get the deal. We were quoted the project would start in 3 - 4 weeks, they did it at 10 weeks. If prove is your sole motivator, go with them but hey ready for a bumpy road.

Unified Windows, Doors, Siding and Roofing provided wold class door and roof material. I worked with them last six months and experience was last awesome. I ordered door for my office. I highly recommend to other.

Their vinyl windows that we bought a few years ago are garbage. They warp fast and leak. As well as get condensation. Didnt help the installers didnt properly install and seal them to begin with. we had to try to seal them even after having a hard time getting someone to come and look at them. And the windows are really hard to lift open and close. And the labor they used was foreign who didnt speak English. That really helps!

** HORRIBLE COMPANY **My mother in law hired them to install a Bay Window and a bathroom window. About 1 week after we placed the order, my mother in law unexpectedly passed away. We talked to the owner of the company and he refused to refund the deposit. We fully explained the situation of her passing and he did not care. He said our windows have NOT been ordered yet, but we are passed our 3 day cancellation and cannot get a refund. He then said our deposit was already spent on advertising. He was very rude and blunt on the phone. This is shameful. We even asked if we can use the deposit paid towards the bathroom window and he said no. This was the owner, what kind of owner acts like this? We have contacted CBSs Shame on you and they will be investigating. All we want is our $700 deposit back on items that have not even been ordered! My father in law is grieving and this is the last thing he should have to deal with....

Very bad after service. My old windows were better then this. Cold air is coming in from holes they left. I called many times but they tell me someone will call back but noone calls

NEVER USE!!!This has been the absolute WORST experience. The service team did not install the windows properly and when I called to have them cap the windows, a service I paid for, they told me I had not purchased that service. They broke the molding and instead of telling me they tried to patch it. When I explained that the windows STILL leak they tried to convince me that every window leaks. They finally sent a person to put 4 pieces of styrofoam in but the tech only installed 2. I tried to call again to understand what may be causing the draft and I was told that I have called TOO much and it would cost an $85.00 service fee. Pay the extra and all Anderson Windows!

In 1/14 I had an estimate for windows. In 3/14 I decided to to move ahead with the project. I contacted the Salesperson that had come to our house. We initially spoke briefly and he said he would call me back. Never did. After two more follow up, indicating that we were ready to move ahead, he never responded.Also why would it take three months to get your product? I have used Unified before and never had a problem. In the years since I dont know what has happened to this Company and reading the reviews of over 60 complaints with 16 in 2013 is a bit concerning. The woman answering the phone is also rude. As a result, Im am giving my business to someone else.

The installation was poorly performed: installers never used level (when I asked why the installer told me the old house doesnt need it), never put insulation between frame of a window and frame of a house, NEVER USED SHIMS WHEN ATTACHED A FRAME to the wall which cause deformation (and possible damage) of window frame.This company CAN NOT BE TRUSTED. I had to bother them with phone calls and emails to send a repairmen to fix the damage.STAY AWAY!!!

Funny that the hisotry of the company says it was originally based on honesty, when in fact its the complete opposite. Maybe thats how it was 20 years ago but the fools they have there running it now are just bad liars. Be there tomorrow, be there today, I was there yesterday. Sure I believe you. BEWARE of these dishonest clowns!

Beware!!! I Got 10 windows, facia and soffit, new front door installed over $8k worth of work. The team of installers rush through the job, poor installation, sloppy caulking in and out of the house, windows dont shut properly, I paid for a door re-frame with the new door and was not done the old frame was buried with the new door trim. (got my money back on that one) Called 1 year later to have door reframed and was told that they dont come out for small job like that only if I get another new door. Funny cause the salesman swears that they come out for one window if they have to. One of my windows keeps leaking and when the tech comes out they just keep adding caulk. It all looks like a blind person did the job. Would not recommend this company even to my enemy.Update: 12/17/2015I want to add that I was contacted by the president of the company and he made it his priority to correct most of my issues. It seems that they are using a better business strategy now with more qualified employees. Thank you Chase, and Justin for all your help

Had my garage door replaced and the workers left nails/screws/garbage all over my driveway... Someone emailed me after I voiced my complaints and they said they would send someone to clean it... No one ever came!!!

Very professional and friendly staff. Prices were average. I didnt use their services but would return for quote.

Do not use them they may be cheap but had a bow window installed started leaking after rain storm called for repairs and was told have to wait for them for next available date 2 weeks from now I just pray wont have any more rain the window base wood already bubbling up.
