Literally the most honest auto shop Ive ever been to. Rats ate through my 4runners wire harness so I called Jimmy ds care center and before tryimg to get me in thet instructed me to call my insurance company and see if its covered so I wouldnt waste any of my own money! Not impressed, they missed transmission leak on inspection plus when they serviced it! How I dont know? being a service tech in the past, my daughter could have found it! I had AAA 40 point check and they missed a few other things.. plus always trying to get a $125.00 diagnostic for something that they should have caught the first time... I took my vehicle in for a 52 point inspection. They did inform me of many of the fixes that needed to be done to the vehicle. Yet, after paying to have one of the many issues with my vehicle fixed (and that part later being destroyed because of another failing part of the vehicle) they refused to refund me for the part that was destroyed with warranty. I am not upset about not receiving the refund.Throughout the whole process of the repairs and then those repairs being undone by the cars other mechanical failures, and asking for my refund I was treated like an idiot and not given friendly customer service. I was also not given all the options that were possible for my vehicle. They were adamant that the vehicle was not driveable unless I paid the expensive fix. After taking my vehicle to a friend we were able to get my vehicle running and roadworthy through another option.I do not feel comfortable recommending friends and family to have their work done by people that will condescend them because they do not know as much about cars as they do.I hope this review is informative to those who seek to use their services. I hope the business also improves from my criticism. Those who are able please do homework before taking your vehicle to get work done at any shop. It is very disappointing to not feel like you can trust your mechanic.God Bless

After going to Kirby Auto II, my car had the same problem of stopping and slowing down with an engine light turning, on which Kirby Auto II, did not fix. Spoke with Jennifer at Jimmy Ds over the phone, she stated that they will perform a full diagnostics test and are AAA approved. I felt very confident that I was going to a professional mechanic. They performed a diagnostics, found a sensor issue under the engine shaft, and replaced it. I also added to have all of my engine belts replaced. All a great price! I received a printout, showing all work done, itemized with pricing. I also received a follow up call from Leslie, two weeks later, to verify the working condition of my car. I have drove to Vegas three times now with ZERO ISSUES! I HIGHLY recommend Jimmy Ds to anyone in the area. They are professional, great people, and great prices! Thank you Jimmy Ds! ;)

My daughter took her car to Jimmy Ds based on reviews that she read and was very pleased, so when my car needed service I took it to Jimmy Ds. We both really appreciated the service we received from the two wonderful ladies at the counter. It was a relief to not be talked down to because we are female. Jennifer and her co-worker are knowledgeable and more than capable of explaining the repairs needed in a way that is easy to understand. A nice clean and comfortable waiting area was a nice bonus.

I work in the automotive industry. I have never seen them not busy. I believe they do some of the best quality work in the valley with a specialty in automotive electronics. With newer cars and their computer systems, this is the place for ignition and general repairs. This place can be hard to find. Its directly behind the elks club on Florida and elk. You have to go south on elk past the club then make a right past the elks parking lot gates.

These people went out of their way to save me when I was in a very bad situation. Last week my daughter passed away at her home in Hemet ...when I went to my car to leave it wouldnt start. Called AAA and had it towed to Jimmy Ds . They got right on it and found a wiring problem , fixed it quickly and at a more than reasonable price. First 2 visits were pleasant and everybody was helpful, on my 3rd visit it was not so good, I had my oil changed on an old beater honda civic. I drove home and I was tinkering with my car and decided to check and see what the full synthetic oil looked like, the oil level measured halfway up the measuring dipstick. The mechanic overfilled my engine to the tune of probably 2 quarts. I immediately called and I was told to bring it back in which I did, I though Id get an apology or something, but nothing. I asked how could this have happened and the response? well, things happen really? I was then told the person who did my oil change was not really an oil change guy but since the mechanics were not in, he was filling in. WOW. why not just tell me that they had nobody qualified to do an oil change in the first place? I will take my business elsewhere next time.UPDATE: I returned to Jimmy ds because after noticing a small oil leak on my driveway and thought the expert mechanic had left the oil drain plug loose, which it wasnt the issue it was unrelated, but Jimmy confronted me about this review saying he didnt appreciate the negative review. I asked him what in the review wasnt true, he said the overfill of my oil was just a half quart instead of what I had stated on my review, which is BS because I know what 1/2 quart of oil looks like on a dipstick. He proceeded to blame me saying that it was my fault because I HAD to have it done and he had to have his top Tech do it, which makes no sense. Still no apology for making me go back to the shop to have the oil drained, had I gotten an apology at the time instead of the things happen comment when I asked how is it that the expert failed to check the oil level after an oil change and before releasing a car, I probably wouldnt have left the negative but honest review.

It all began with a slight tremble, followed by a cloud of smoke, a garage full of pungent gasoline fumes, and finally a cough and an engine that just wouldnt start. I knew right away that the situation was serious andneeded emergency care immediately. Over the years, when it (the car) has needed attention, it has been seen by Firestone, the local Ford Dealership and Jimmy Ds. All of the previous visits had been for minor repairs or treatments - there was nothing minor about this problem. So, I had to decide which of the three I trusted most. Having had some issues (albeit minor) with each of the other two, and none with Jimmy Ds, I felt it was the best choice. So, I called for an ambulance (tow truck) and had my car transported to the emergency room at the hospital (Jimmy Ds) where it was immediately put into ICU (intensive care). Diagnosing the problem was difficult because, according to the specialist (Dr. Claro), it had a condition not often seen. I was told that, had I continued to operate the car in the condition it was in, severe damage could have been done to the catalytic converter and/or the engine itself. While giving the car the necessary treatment, Dr. Claro (the mechanic) discovered several otherminor problems that needed attention and he insisted that the car remain in his care until it had a complete recovery and could be given a complete bill of health. The treatment took a while, but through it all Nurses Jennifer and Leslee kept me appraised of the progress, and patiently tried to answer (where they could) all of my anxious questions. I am happy to report that my (beloved) car has now fully recovered and is functioning better than ever thanks to the skill and efforts of Dr, Claro and nurses Jennifer and Leslee at Jimmy Ds. Jimmy and his staff make sure that a bad situation is turned into a positive one. He goes out of his way to help you anyway he can. Not always the cheapest or fastest. But damn sure the BEST! One day i was sitting in the office and a customer had a repair done. She had enough money for the repair but had a very bald tire. Jimmy knew she couldnt afford a new one but wasnt about to let her drive on the one she had. He had one of his staff find a used one in much better shape,and changed it for her at no charge! You just dont see that kind of customer service being done anymore! Take your vehicle to Jimmy D.

Ya know im not the type to write a review even when bad, however i just have to say what a pleasure it was going to Jimmy Ds. im new to the area and called places all over town about my brake problem and most were pretty expensive ranging from $180 to 260 ect. after reading a ton of reviews of others experiences and then finding that jimmys is also backed by my AAA i decided to go and check it out,and i spoke with jimmy and he offered to check it out for free which was cool,and sure enough he found the problem, cleaned everything up sanded the drums ect and said since the tires were off hed rotate them for me all of this took about an hour or so and while he worked we chatted about all kinds of things and he showed me what the deal was with my brakes.anyway after all the work he did he said how about $35 and i was like heck yea thats so fair for the time he took and to actually solve my problem and not try and up sell me or take advantage. i was so pleased with my experience here, so all i can say is im a new long life customer and will not be going anywhere else! thanks jimmy!!
