I did get a quote for my repair and scheduled service to be done within one business day. Later that day, Bob called and doubled the quote on the phone because he had to order a different part of what he thought ( he also had the Vin number well in advance) . I would have taken my car back at that time , but he said they were working on it and it was in pieces already. So I had to leave the car there another day and I had to pay double. Unprofessional service to say the least.

I cannot say enough good things about this repair shop. The service Ive received from Bob and his guys has always been amazing. Bob is very knowledgeable and is great at explaining what is wrong with my vehicle to a novice car person such as myself. Ive always felt the prices were more than fair, especially for maintenance services such as oil changes and tire rotations. Im originally from AZ and I thought taking my car to a mechanic in CA would be more expensive, because hey everything is more expensive in CA, truthfully the prices at Bobs are better than my old mechanic in AZ. Bob helped acclimate my husband and I to CA state regulations for vehicles and even recommended a good smog check place to us when we were in a pinch. Ive had my brakes replaced, rotors replaced, multiple oil changes, and transmission serviced through him. My car is an old Camry, but I feel like it has many miles left on it thanks to reassurances from Bob. Hes made fair suggestions for what needs replacing next and I know I wont get the quality of service I receive from him from anyone else. I live within walking distance of the shop and I am always made sure to be given a ride home and to get picked up when my vehicle needs to stay there for the day. I even called Bob when I was panicking about locking myself out of my car to see if he knew anyone who could unlock it for me. I was 39 weeks pregnant and apparently lost my mind. Bob was sincerely worried and told me to call my insurance to see if I could have someone come out for free, if not to call him back and he had a guy who could come out and help me. Bottom line, I wont take my car anywhere else and you shouldnt either.

So I actually was in here almost three years ago, because I wanted to have Bob check out a car before I bought it. He gave me an impartial observation and I decided not to buy it. Charged me an incredibly competitive inspection rate and explained he just wants to help people make smart decisions. Being a broke college student at the time, it was much appreciated.Ive since moved to LA, have a new (to me) car, and got a recommendation from a neighbor to go here again. I had forgotten about the shop, so it was definitely weird pulling back into the lot and realizing Id been here before. I was getting low oil pressure and tried a few things myself but wanted an expert opinion. I brought a part with me that I couldnt replace myself, a little oil filter that is often overlooked when attempting to track down oil pressure concerns. Rather than turning his nose my vaguely-informed idea to replace it, he was very interested and told me hed look into it. By the end of the work day, I came back over and sure enough, he replaced the filter and it was certainly dirty. Oil pressure seems to be back to normal levels, time will tell if that was the fix. Again, charged me an unbelievably reasonable rate. Thanked me for the insight.A mechanic that is willing to try small, less expensive jobs before telling me I need to shell out $$$ is good in my book. Let alone one thats willing to humble themselves enough to try potential solutions that are unfamiliar to them. Will absolutely take my truck to Bob in the future. Incredibly honest mechanic, friendly and clearly in the business of helping and satisfying his customers instead of draining their wallets.

Ive been going to Bobs since 2002. One fateful night after a mishap with AAA and Pep Boys a tow truck driver suggested Bob. That was the best tip I ever got. Up until then I had been ripped off by every mechanic Id met. Countless times Bob has helped me out with minor issues that I know someone else would have tacked on a big repair bill. As long as hes in businessI will never go anywhere else. Most recently we had to take my moms car there due to the battery light staying on. Turned out it was the alternator. My mom currently has cancer and we needed to be at the hospital the next morning. Bob had the car done with an oil change in under 3 hours. Mind you this shop is busy due to loyal customers. Bob saved us the hassle of a car rental and generally, we just love him. Hes honest and more than fair. If you are a single woman without a male advocate to do your technical car talk, then go here. Hell take care of your car without stealing your purse.

What can I say bought my car in the day before the 4th of July and Bob was pretty busy. He ask me to bring my car later and he diagnosed my check Engine Light and give me my options. I was given a few to call, was not impressed and a couple straight out didnt trust. I contacted multiple mechanics for qoutes, and visited quite a few until I landed on Bobs Auto Repair shop.The owners name is actually Bob, and has been in business for 35 years! Bob gave me the best price for the work I needed. My friend referred me to Bob when I was looking to get a second opinion on my cars diagnosis. The dealer told me my engine was bad and that I basically should sell it for scrap and move on. I love my car and didnt want to give up on it just yet. I dropped my car off and a couple hours later Bob calls me to tell me I needed some new spark plugs and a tune up, $255 and my car was running just as it always had. I knew right then that Bob would be my car repair guy from now on! I went back to the dealer and told the service manager more than a few words... Since then, Bob has done the brakes on my husbands car, replaced the stolen catalytic converter on my car and other routine maintenance. We love Bob!
