Great location, I went there for work, we rented The Aromas Salón for our Seminar the restaurant food was very good. The service at the Aromas Salon was excellent. They had everything we asked for to make our business activity best of the best. Thank you Mr. Nelson for all your attentions.
It was alright. Couple of minor issues. We didn’t speak the language but staff was polite, helpful and patient. I appreciate this. They accommodated our breakfast requests which was pretty cool.Amenities were basic. Sufficient for the price
Stay and price was good. Check-in was really quick. I stayed at one of the villas. Surroundings...kind of ugly looking. Probably a small landscape in the grassy area by the fence with a small outdoor table and two chairs would help in front of each room. Its a Parador...so more is expected. I definitely believe that room needs an update. A/C was not working correctly ( pieces of ice falling on the bed ), bed looks old (cracked laminated pieces or missing ) , stained chair, bathtub ( mildew or rust on the edges.. It needs a little more TLC.My daughter was staying at one of the rooms at the second floor...room also the same...update needed.
I booked this trip 8 months in advance and paid $1200 for a Deluxe Queen Suite (which clearly in the pictures there are Suites) I arrived early and called to see if I could be checked in (it was 1pm) I was told I could check in at 2:30 (check in is at 3) I arrived at 2:30 and the room still was not ready. I had to finalize the processing of payment. My boyfriend and I spent 30 minutes bouncing money around back and forth from 3 different accounts because the receptionist kept telling us that our cards were declining. Come to find out she was entering the date we opened the bank accounts (member since mm/yy) instead of the expiration date. After I signed all the paperwork I realized my online invoice stated Deluxe Queen Suite but the paper invoice that I signed read Standard Double Queen Room. This is not what I paid for. I went back inside because the room still was not ready and asked why the paper said Standard Queen when I got the Queen Suite. The receptionist advised me that there are no Suites available at this hotel. I began to question what are these rooms online because now this is false advertisement. She said that they have no control over what the online 3rd party app posts as far as rooms. I was extremely upset because on their own website the option for Deluxe and Villas are available so why am I being lied to? Also if I would cancel I would not be refunded because my “Suite” had a no cancellation policy on it. I go back and waited in the car until 3:45pm that we were called that the room was ready. Walking through the halls to get to the room reminded me of old movies where the nurses are walking threw long hallways with a syringe in their hands. The layout of the room and bathroom reminded me of being admitted into a hospital. The room needs some life to it. The room that I was given did not have any of the amenities that the room that I paid for said it would have. You would think for the inconvenience that they would offer a free meal or a discount but of course nothing. There’s much more but I think this is enough. And if I’m going to just receive an “I’m sorry for the inconvenience” under this review, you can keep it to yourself.Thank you
Great coffee, also great food and conveniently located. Great stop after or before highway.
Great traditional local eating place. My mom would go here as a child. Eat here if you want to feel like a local.
Super cute diner! We have breakfast...eggs, French toast, bacon & sausage...nothing special but great prices and good food. Service was excellent!
High end in price food was good and drinks people and place ok
Nothing like we see on the google page the village ugly and ghetto. We ask for change the room and after the front desk try to contact the Mananger for more of 30 min the staff put us on a room get wet when is raining the nigh we stay. After we try that people change us he say he don’t have nothing available and the bathroom is not good clean. We need to found other place to stay
How do you expect to get reservations if nobody ever answers the phone. I understand you’re busy but customer service needs to always be a #1. Ive been trying to call for weeks. Ridiculous.
I was very disappointed with the room location...2nd floor..no elevator. They took the money out of my account before we even got there to check in. The bedding and appearance of the room looks very low scale. The problem was there wasnt anything else available in Arecibo and the no cancelation policy really stinks..my first...my last...not my everything...
Customer service great. Room is big and clean
Positive: Close to everything, checking in/out was easy Negative: No coffee in the room
The Parador El Buen Café has been in continued business for many decades. Their food is the most authentic of Puerto Ricos, Cubas & Spains cuisine. The menu offerings are all encompassing, their wine list is limited to the public, but the owner has some vintages requested by *special afficionado clientel. My uncle Dr. Cardona, used to frequent even *stayed at the place. In todays virus circumstance they did separate the tables, masks on till served, and I loved the privacy. The food presentation was outstanding, social distancing & guest temperatures in C° required taken after entrance on the left, stand tall for that. I had the Eggplant a la El Buen Café, their specialty, did not dissapoint. I savored their mofongo, moist and with chicken broth and enjoyed a warm guava pastelillo with café con leche, which you may customize to your coffee palates taste. The Ladies restroom was superclean, But, was already out of soap and disinfectant coupled with the sink plumbing was slow leaking. I did bring that to managers attention, they set out to solve the issue asap. Therefore 4 stars.
I love it here, the room clean and sanitized. Staff was wonderful and the food exceeded my expectations
Perhaps due to covid, service and available food items quite limited. Nat at all like pre covid.
I will not tell you how bas ir was , just look a the cancellation policy and at the reviews before thinking about this option.I will never come back to this hospital set up as a room.
No elevetor, Need curtains to Block outside Light, Also sound proof Windows.
So far easy checking and nice staff 👍
Great service, very friendly and the restaurant had great food
Went for coffe and sándwiches. Always good and great service.
Food was good, reasonable prices and service a bit slow but good
I stayed at one of the Villas and boy it was a disappointment. Very old, AC not maintenan very well and very loud, placed right over your bed, the staff does not have any room service to clean the room. If you want fresh towels you need to bring the towels to the other building to have them exchanged, the hot water triggers in no pressure and out of date. The cable tv in the room 1A Villas looks like they are getting the signal from antenna. My brother recommend this hotel cause their service pre covid was very good but since then it just looks like a very old 1 star hotel. The mattress and sheets are old and uncomfortable. The bed is a full size mattress not queen as advertised. Over all I would not recommend the hotel to tourist looking for a decent place to stay and I almost forgot to mention the roaches are included with your fee. They really need to work on updating the rooms cause it has a ton of potential to be the best place to stay in the area.
Its a nice place and the rate was not bad.
We stayed at one of the Villas, came on a Monday, and Thursday was when they came to clean (well not to clean to replace the dirty towels). The front desk told us that they are only cleaning every three days, because of the pandemic “wow”. If you wanted clean towels you had to bring the dirty ones to the front desk. They have stove, but make sure you go to Walmart and spend money on pots and pans, plates and forks (it is a villa with kitchen). The rooms aren’t the cleanest and for the price is worth paying possibly the same at a hotel in aguadillas
Only visited the restaurant, prices on the high side
Positive: Muy limpio Negative: limpieza de la piscina, puede mejorar.
Comfortable and good food
Very good but no coffee maker on room.
Our first room had 2 big mold spots in the bathroom, the headboard came off, and our shower water was warm at best. We unfortunately couldnt change locations because we booked through Expedia, and while our 2nd room was definitely better, the toilet stopped flushing. In general, I guess the space is fine for springbreakers (very much gives off dorm vibes), but I would never stay again. Front desk agent was very helpful tho!
Place is to pricey for the quality of outdated rooms the windows have mold the doors are not safe
Clean,good service
Good food, great homey environment. Prices are excellent. Been going there for years.
Great Place in Hatillo
Eh. For $140 a night I thought it was gonna look nicer. 1 am and I cant sleep. The ac doesnt work that well a little humid in room. If you stain anything like a towel or blankets they will charge your account. I mean theres no paper towels or tissues so what do they expect. First time hearing that in a hotel. My bath room light also was flickering so the lighting wasnt good. Also next to a busy road, Walmart, Sams club, home depot. Wont be staying here again.
Good stay
Service was good. Food was good. Coffee was superb. Ambiance was ok.
Real comfortable conference room, great food, close parking lot, and right next to road 2 a minute or less than the highway exit.
Very dissapointed for the price we paid.....stayed here with my wife just to rest......i wish i wouldve kept driving to the metro area......only 2 pillows in the room.....water heater in shower not working.....outdated roomd with a strange smelll.....looke more like a motel instead of a hotel......keep driving.....dont stop at this motel......by the way im Puertorriqueno...
Good service
Desperate for a hotel, the El Buen Cafe was a godsend. Very friendly and helpful staff, some of which became more like friends than staff. Hang out in the bar area of the cafe part across the street and get to know some nice locals.I enjoyed it so much that I stayed a second night to explore the area. The only negative was the plastic shower curtain that put off a strong odor the first night probably because it had just been hung which makes it hard to complain about. I didnt notice it the second night. I highly recommend the El Buen Cafe.
Dirty. Old. No amenities
Good coffee!! Came from Orlando to meet a couple during our honeymoon 28 years ago.
On the beach. Inexpensive, good food, friendly staff
We are at the Villas. Room is too hot. Air conditioning too poor. Cable TV signal too bad. Poor programming. No wifi service. Nevertheless the coffee shop service is good. Food is great.
Good overnight stay. Reasonable prices.
The food is very good.
Now this is the place is has bungalow-style plus Hotel style accommodations welcoming nice bar and restaurant laundry room walking distance to the ocean nice Beach, across the street from samsclub Club if you have a Sams Club membership great getaway destination R&R
Great friendly staff!! With good food served at their restaurant makes it a must stay place 👍🏽👍🏽
Excellent service and food 👌
This is a roadside hotel that is average except for being especially clean (unusual for the Caribbean) with a friendly front desk. The Buenos cafe next door is simply a diner with diner food. I bought a bag of candy at the cafe and it turned out to be the cheapest of the cheap. You know , the one the wrapper doesnt come off because it is all wrapper and almost no candy ?So as long as you are not expecting more, you will enjoy this place.I certainly appreciated the fast wifi.
Amazing to stay nice staff and its chipper than others
We just got to the hotel. No safe box in the room no coffee maker so far is ok. Let see for the rest of the week.
Great service and great food
Goodddd
When im in the area,we stop here reguardless, because the coffee is the best and breakfast or lunch is always the best as well. What we do is order a breakfast and get lunch to go. Place is always filled no matter what ,but its worth it.
Is a good hotel and the personnel is great.
Great food reasonable prices
No ac cable and wifi. The food in the restaurant is not good and they will lie about what they offer and then make you pay for it ..... not a good place.
Good hotel for the price. Rooms could use more aeration. Beds were comfortable.
Nice views. Easy access. Fair prices.
Great cup of joe
Its an mandatory stop for coffee. Try their plantain soup, amazing!
Great place with one of the best Bakery in the island. Excellent food and cheap.
Great prices & the perfect location for breakfast & coffee on the way to west coast.
Torn matress. Flickering lights! No phone in the room, to reach the front desk! The air conditioner kept turning off. Only one accessible electrical plug! Very clean and very friendly!
Great hotel with Reasonable prices and a great Cafe.
The oldest best diner ever it reminds me of Woolworth and NYC diners
The rooms at the street side a very noisy. Breakfast is not included. Restauranr is ok. 3.5 stars.
Treated the disaster response teams amazingly. As problems arose, they were there to accommodate!
Good Hotel with a nice Relaxing Bath Tub. Very good Internet, Big parking lot, Restaurant nearby
El parador buen cafe is a place that looks good for one night but after one night youll see conditions of hotel.my son put a bottle of water in top of the fire extinguisher and wasnt pick up for one and a half weeks .when the owner came back of vacation we told him .he said no one told him.we told his mother the rooms where fifty they send at 6 pm a pregnant girl with a guy to clean it took them 3 hrs to clean .on the stairs in the side we killed a bed bugs nobody came to do something about it .is a disguisting place to have. A vacation.the cafe place charge people like a rich people $1,75 for a cup of plain tea my advise nobody should go there.
We were in the area and instead of returning all the way to San Juan we decided to get a room and spend the night in the area. Folks at the Arecibo Observatory suggested this place and we decided to try it. We booked a room for under $100 for a family of 4 with two breakfast included. The place feels homey, to access the parking area you need to go around and behind the hotel. They have extra parking in the opposite site to the hotel. The staff was incredible friendly and very professional, they completed our checking quickly and off we went to our room. Our room was super clean and fresh, a nice AC system maintained the room very comfortable. The beds were clean and a TV kept the kids entertained. In the area there are several stores including a Walmart where you can get what you may need. The hotel has a small outdoor pool in the back but we did not have a chance to try it because it was raining. Sleeping was pleasant, no noises other obnoxious guests. In the morning we crossed the street to get breakfast at the El Buen Cafe which seems to be a restaurant part of the same business. The breakfast was not impressive so we ordered few more items to supplement what it was included, but for $100 buck and a family of 4 we were not expecting more. In general the hotel is a good deal, centrally located in Arecibo, close to Cavernas de Camuy and Arecibo Telescope and local shopping options, I would return if I need to spend the night in the area.
Great friendly service. A mandatory stop, if you are coming out of Highway 22 towards West PR.
I just go to the coffe shop and rest. Was ok. Not the best not the worst.
Very nice service delicious food
Very clean, great service, best breakfast.
Not clean, no coffee. Room poorly setup with TV of top right hand of the room causing you a neck ache. Bad service response of many issues
Great prices. Excellent service.
Love the food, great spot to rest after a long drive
