Short and to the point. 292 days with my vehicle for an engine swap. After not properly installing, diagnosing and tuning the motor, I came to pick it up and tow it to another shop. Was supposed to be kept inside (nope), dropped garage door on the cab, didnt tell me, luckily I saw it before it left the lot. Didnt save parts from old motor as I asked. Left shop damaged and not running along with $1000 damage to cab roof. Bad place.

AA Auto is great to work with. I am lucky enough to have only need basic maintenance (oil change and tire rotation) but if I had a larger service need would have no reservations bringing my truck for repairs to AA Auth Tech. Another positive is scheduling, didnt have to wait a week or two to get in...they got me in next morning.Great shop and thank you for taking care of us!

AA Auto tech is the best place for Auto care. The staff is wonderful, kind, honest and I have gotten my whole family using AA Auto Tech for any car issues you might be having. Also my husbands work uses them for Auto repairs for their work trucks and vans. Great place. I have been a customer for 25 years.

I have had my vehicle there a few times and all I can say is that they are fair, honest and they get the work done and do it well. It isnt often you can say you have enjoyed taking your vehicle in for work, but they really do a great job! Customer service is top notch! They always go above and beyond!

I was concerned about a weird rattling noise in the front driver side of my car. They got me in the day I called, which was super convenient. They begin looking at on my vehicle as soon as I arrived. The mechanic took me over to show me what he found to make sure he was checking for what I brought the car in for, and to help me understand what it was that he found. He explained that he had tested the struts, tested to make sure there was nothing loose on the body or engine, and driven it around a bit to listen as well. Turns out it was just a heating block plug-in that had come unclamped and was rattling around. He had to have spent at least a half hour on the vehicle. I went in to pay, and they said there was no charge. I really appreciate how thorough, honest, and efficient their service was. Hastings folks, this place is one of the good ones.

Loren is the person you go to for auto related repairs and problems. When your auto is making that weird noise from somewhere under neath, Loren is the master mechanic that can not only locate and repair the problem, but he can also give you the sound. Lorens expertise is limitless and it goes along with his ability to work with those who need his help. I actually look forward to going to him, he is that good.

Went in for a suspected transmission leak, but they couldnt find anything. They didnt charge me at all since there was nothing to fix. You dont find that kind of honesty and kindness enough these days. Ill definitely go back if I ever need any work done.

I had to bring my car in twice to AA Auto because issues I originally brought in for was not fixed and new issues popped up after 1st visit. Of course each time new issues were found. In the end it cost me thousands of dollars(almost 3k to be exact) and the new issues that popped up after 1st visit were still not fixed. I gave up and took it to another shop. I had to pay $450.00 to get the issues this shop caused fixed. The most recent shop even told me AA was negligent and should contact them for a refund. Im not going to bother based on previous reviews and life being too short.It was painfully obvious they did not take the time to test drive after my car was serviced to make sure issues were fixed or they would have known each time issues not fixed. They are also obviously either over worked or just didnt care to check their work in regards toputting parts back properly after repair.The owner the few times I talked with him was short and rude. He clearly is not a people person and seems to pride himself on that with signs in his shop boasting of it.I will say the reason for 2 stars was for the lady at the front desk(I think the owners wife). She was incredibly pleasant to work with and very much on top of things. She must have the patience of a saint. Also, they had a dog there on my visits, which I loved, since it added a personal and sweet feel.Im shocked at all the great reviews. Perhaps they only give great service to newer cars or certain types of people. My experience at AA Auto was an expensive disaster.

My girlfriend was worried her transmission was going out in her 2002 Bonneville. It would not accelerate.She spoke with Lauren. He told her to bring it in he would look at it.Lauren test drove her car, told her that her transmission was fine. Thank goodness!!!Her gas peddle accelerator was sticking. Lauren showed her what the problem was.She was SO THANKFUL that it wasnt her transmission!!! He took it apart, cleaned the gunk off of it. Good as new!!Took him all but 10 minutes to diagnose/fix the problem. She said he was awesome!Lauren was fair and honest!!!! He could of told her it was a number of things.But, he is a very honest guy!!We are very thankful.She is still talking about him!We would recommend him to everyone!Thank you so much Lauren!

My car was leaking gas. I called about time to bring car in for repair. They told me to bring cat in and they would check it out ASAP. They replaced leaking gas line filter and changed oil and I was able to pick up car the same afternoon. Good value. Great service

This place is an absolute joke. Complete lack of customer service. Told me to bring in my truck at 10:30am, the following day I had to call and ask about it. The day just got away from them, things happen, Ishould be more understanding.I was told that they try to make all their customers happy, but since I was not that I need to take my business elsewhere.How dare I I expect them to hit service times they gave, or at least a heads up if things happen that delay it.Dont waste your time on these people, the customer service is garbage. Try Tims or downtown auto.

Bring your business HERE!!! My wife and I experienced a dead battery in our Honda Pilot. The battery was difficult to access and change. We had no tools.The technician walked to AutoZone, removed the battery, installed a new battery from AutoZone. (I would have bought it from AA) A quick check of the battery and alternator and we were on our way. Their values carried through from the start to finish. They cared about our situation and wanted to do whatever it took to get the job done. Thank you! If I lived near by this shop they would be my new mechanic.

HORRIBLE PLACE!! DO NOT GO THERE!! They had my truck for 24 days. I was very nice the whole time and understanding about it. They ignored my calls so I stopped in to ask if they were going to do it and they GOT MAD AT ME? REALLY? Prior to this I sent at least 10 people to them. I had asked them 3 different times if they didnt want to do it let me know. DO NOT GO THERE.

AA always treats me and my family extremely well! Even when my car had electrical issues they did what they could for me and that, in and of itself, has me coming back. Beyond that, the usual tires/brake/oil changes are fairly priced and competed by honest people.Ill be going here for as long as theyll have me!

Nicest and best people around. I was stranded with a broken brake line. Too dangerous to drive anywhere. I called them. They showed in 40 minutes and limped my truck back to the shop. Fixed the broken lines and had me back on the road in 3 hours and gave me a very very incredible price. Couldnt be happier. Theyre the ones to go to!

I will only bring my truck here, they are always friendly. The mechanic will always explain the work before they start. The reason I started coming to AA Auto is that the hourly rate is on the lower end of the states median hourly rate. I keep coming back because of the qulity workmanship.

Ive never been here because my dad fixes my cars but I now have a breathalyzer in my car and have to see them every month to get it calibrated. They just started offering this and I have been to 2 other shops. They are by far the best place. Always friendly and they get me in asap everytime as I am not good at getting it done before the last minute. I usually dont take the time to write reviews but I just had to. You guys are amazing and I will tell everyone about you!

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE. They are rude. I told them I wanted a 2nd opinion because they said I needed a new transmission. They got mad. I took it somewhere else and they said there was just a loose wire and fixed it. Because I am a woman they thought they could take advantage. Dont go there.

The front desk woman is super sweet and nice but this place gave me the worst customer experience Ive ever had. They had my car for a little over two weeks without even touching it, now if they had told me they were going to take a while to get to it then i would have been able to plan accordingly but Warren told me 4 different completion dates and he fell through on every one of them. They didnt call me to update me on the progress, they wouldnt give me a quote and when i called to complain about the lack of customer service warren scolded me and got defensive. Even after me complaining he fell through again on finishing my car so i had to call and get fairly aggressive in order to get him to finish the project that should have only taken a day or two. When i finally got to collect my car they didnt compensate me for my troubles at all and charged me full price for a terrible experience. Dont ever go here, if you live in Hastings, Mn and you need work on your car go to Tims auto in the industrial park, great customer service there and there are very timely.

Over my lifetime, I have owned a variety of used cars, all in various states of repair. I have paid for services at small garages, chain stores and dealerships. I have rarely received the level of service and care that I have found at AA Auto Techs. After my latest repair on my well-used mini-van, a factory part failed. I anticipated paying at least $50 for the time it took the guys to fix the part and clean up the mess it made. Loren and his team sent me on my way with a repaired van and a smile.My family will be taking all our cars here from now on. There is nothing better than knowing your car will be fixed, as it should be, without the dance of unnecessary extras so many places will try to sell you. Anyone in or near Hastings should do themselves a favor and bring their cars to AA Auto Technicians.

I brought my car into them about 2 months ago to get a simple oil change done. they got it in right away and the cost was cheap. but i was wondering why the engine kept getting hot right away. driving maybe a block and it would be hot. today i took it in to a different place to get tires done and i find out there is a oil leak. when i got the oil change done i had no oil leake or atleast i didnt think i did. they never told me about this or they caused this. either way i have to spend more money to get it fixed. i will not be taking it back to them. caused more harm then good.

I had a problem with a SENSOR, these idiots changed my ignition switch, charged me $188 and told me I had to go to the dealer to have something RESET that only the dealer could do. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN it was a BS job when he told me I had to jiggle my key to get it to start. Fortunately, I went straight to the dealer to get an appointment and guess what, it didnt start, I had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM, two hundred Fing dollars later, come to find out, he changed a part that didnt even need changing, I COULD HAVE thrown that money in the trash and had the same result. So I guess go to this place if you enjoy giving your money away and getting ABSOLUTELY NOTHING IN RETURN. Another $315 to the dealer but AT LEAST my truck is up and running and I DONT need to jiggle the key to start it. I find it very disgusting that mechanics today STILL continue to take advantage of woman. The ONLY reason I gave one star is because I couldnt post without doing so.... HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!

My car was having issues, so i brought it in to AA Auto Technicians in Hastings MN. After biting the bullet and spending close to $500 on repairs, i picked up my car and it was still having issues. They also never supplied me a receipt for the repairs, and i had to ask for it at a later time. He told me to just drive it around the block a few times (Letting a customer drive a still not fixed unsafe vehicle off of the lot) and I did, trusting his judgement. At this point he had not even done a diagnostic (unknown to me because i was never given a receipt, and just assumed thats what a shop would do first thing). The vehicle was still having issues, but he said that it would Work itself out over time, so i brought it home, trusting he knew what was going on. The next day when i tried to start the vehicle, there was still issues and i could barely drive it. The same issues i brought it in for the first time.I brought the vehicle back and it sat for almost a month. I contacted the shop multiple times, and spent my gas to go there and talk with the manager. Each time, i was told Ill either get to it tomorrow, or the next day and then oh, for sure by this friday, or saturday or monday. Each time i went in, i explained explicitly Do not spend any more money on the vehicle without letting me know in advance believing him when he said he would look it over for you. Well, after a few weeks went by, i decided to stop by again and ask again when it would be done. I finally got them to look at it today, after i called this morning 6/29. They brought the car in, and preformed a diagnostic without asking my permission first, and requested that i pay $50 for a diagnostic that should have been done when i brought the vehicle in the FIRST TIME. I then asked him why he would say he would not stick to his word and run the codes for me after it sat for almost a month, and then preform a paid diagnostic without my permission. To which he yelled at me that I need to learn how a shop works and that he was going to Call the towing company now and have it impounded and continued to yell at me on the phone until he hung up saying I could Pick it up from impound. I NEVER said that I was not going to pay the fee, i was simply asking if that is how he conducts business, and if it was fair to charge me more money for a vehicle that had not been fixed in the first place. And also why he never ran a diagnostic when i put $500 into the repairs the first time i brought it in.To close, I was given back a non working vehicle, I was told to drive it off of the lot, and that it would basically work itself out, and now after it sitting in his lot for almost a month, and after tons of excuses and failed promises, he is going to charge me more money and threaten to tow my car. He also stated go ahead, complain to the BBB, i have been a member for many years and we can file a counterclaim and will. This is not how a business should be run, and i suggest you take your car elsewhere.

Do not Support this place in any way. The shop manager, a guys name Lauren, a GIRLS name, cussed me out for simply wanting to know the state of my vehicle, which I depend on for work, and broke down 40 mins from home. The part that really gets me, is I only called three times and each time he lead me on like i was done, to the point Im sitting with a friend 40 mins from home waiting to pick it up, 2 days LATER than he originally told me, and cusses me out for calling 30 mins before close asking if it was done. He wasted tons of my time and the swore at me. If i wasnt trying to hard to figure out why he was so mad, I would have been Irate and told him where to put it.
