I was in line today doing a drop-off for my sister. I am new to the whole shipping thing, it was my first time in a post office. Hilda, the lady working behind the counter, noticed I was a rookie and gave me the ultimate advice for next time I drop off to make my life easier and I dont have to wait. Thanks Hilda! Not bad, not bad at all

I made the mistake of dropping off 2 packages directly with the clerk, without getting the receipt as I was in a hurry… one of the packages never got to its destination…. Can’t trust

The worst. This is why this should become privatized. The income does not get affected by horrible customer service and understaffed

Worst employees ever. Another customer stepped in front of the line after boxing, writing the receipt etc. she was inside when i arrive however she was not on the line so that i was kindly warning her suddenly the postal clerk involved into argument to defend the other customer. Are we automatically get on the line when we step inside the post office? Or should we get on the line after being done with boxing, filling the receipt etc. ? The answer is simple, but just for the people who use their brain, if they have one, otherwise go apply to USPS for a job.

Stay away from this post office. The people there clearly hate their job and pride themselves on giving people a hassle. I even asked for the postal employee’s name and supervisor and she refused to identify her rude self. She wouldn’t even lend me a marker after yelling at me for using the wrong kind of labels. I shouldn’t have to jump through flaming hoops to mail a package. GARBAGE SERVICE.

Woman behind the counter is kind, but the office is understaffed, leading to impatient customers. So long as you are not rude or argumentative, the front desk woman is very helpful. I’ve witnessed people approach her very angrily due to the long wait, which is out of her control. Just be an understanding and patient customer and you will be served well.

Completely undependable. They are closed today. On a Saturday the post office is closed. Imagine that. The post office in Hasbrouck Heights nj is closed. No access to mail boxes no mailing packages. Nothing. Completely closed. Wow. And the government claims they are losing money on mail. Great retirement job. This is how they operate here. Open late. Close for lunch. Today they did not even show up. Nice.

Completely unhelpful staff. Make sure you bring your own scissors and tape because they don’t have ANY scissors or tape anywhere in this post office. Waste of time, go to a UPS store instead.

It’s ok for service but if you want a better service go somewhere else

Absolutely the worst post office Ive ever had the unpleasurable of dealing with on several occasions and each one being worse then the last. Who heard of a Post Office closing and locking their doors for an hour and a half lunch every day? Not to mention they dont open till 10 AM??? What the heck is that? Other post offices in the surrounding areas open up at 8:30 or 9 am. Most of the staff there have less-than-stellar attitude and act like theyre doing you a favor by helping you out. I avoid this place like the plague even though its in my own town I go to other towns just if I have to buy a stamp or send the letter.. Somebody should really do something about this look at the rest of the reviews this is absolutely unnecessary and unacceptable and this type of attitude and conduct of business is why the post office will be obsolete soon

If I could give this place a zero I would. The lady who attends is rude and thinks she knows everything. I came in to reteive my package that was fowarded to my local post office by UPS and I didnt have my tracking number with me. I asked her to please check and she refused, so I asked why. She said because I know UPS. Surely enough I check my tracking number and my package checked in that very morning. Ive had other incidents with this lady and I always take the extra drive to the Wood-ridge post office instead.AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!

Have only interacted with the post office once since I moved here and it wasn’t a bad experience. Small town post office. They are what they are.

They held a package that was supposed to be returned to me for almost 3 weeks! Then they finally called to ask if I wanted it returned. I tried calling them back immediately after the phonecall (15 times at least ) and they never picked!! Terrible place.

The front desk lady is so rude and even does not listen what you ask. She obviously doesn’t wanna do the job.If you close the office for an hour in the middle of the day you should put some sign about that.

Terrible! They dont answer the phone calls and they lose the mail.They are closed whenever they want. Terrible....

Basic small town post office Post Office boxes in front lobby generally staffed by one person behind the counter usually friendly helpful hours are on open at 10 a.m. mail boxes out front

I just came back furious. They closed the post office 3 minutes early. What a shame. Real stigma to the concept of customer service in USA.

Same complaint as everybody else plus ive had packages marked as delivered that were not.
