EXPENSIVE WATCH BATTERIES!!I was a loyal customer with Danson for years. However, these guys ripped me off charging me $20 for each watch battery. Not only that, I took an expensive watch EDOX to replace the battery and the watch stop working. When I took the watch back, they wanted to repair it for $400. If you really need a watch battery go to FERA GEM by the Boulevard in Hasbrouck Heights, its $5 a watch battery.

I went in wanting to do a trade with my old engagement ring. I got divorced and had no use for it and wanted something to go with my grandmothers ring. I worked with Dale, who was very nice and understanding with what I wanted and we worked out a deal with a beautiful ring that looks great with my grandmothers ring! All I had to do was pay for sizing it. I would definitely recommend Danson jewelers and I would for sure be coming back for future purchases.

I generally dont leave reviews but I wanted to give my own impressions for the services proffered. My wife stopped by to have an estate ring re-set with a new diamond. Although we didnt have the right combination of diamond size for the setting, Danson did spend considerable time helping her understand her options. They were very pleasant, professional and offered reasonably priced service. She will be returning soon to have the work done.

I think this my first review ever but I have to do it because Im nothing but satisfied from the people working here and from their products and prices. I recently got a engagement ring and its very beautiful and Im happy with every cent that I paid for it. They are working with you like your friends and the service is phenomenal. They do great work at reasonable prices. My great grandfathers diamond ring needed complete restoration. The ring was beautifully restored, will not go anywhere else with my fine watches and jewelry.

My mom needed a watch band for her watch. I wanted to take a minute to post the wonderful experience we had with Dale. We will frequent this shop again. I like this place. Bought a few items for Christmas for my wife and daughter and they could not have been happier.

Had them create a custom claddagh ring for my girlfriend. The ring came out beautifully and in a timely manner. Jack was very helpful in bringing my vision to life. Would definitely recommend and go back to them.

Wonderful at jewelry repairs. Good pricing and very pleasant staff. They treat you well for all services whether you are purchasing a gift or just getting a watch battery.

Please beware. This place ripped me, my mother in law and my sister in law off. My first bad experience was when I called and asked how much it would be to get my wedding ring cleaned. He said no charge, no problem; I run it through a machine and it takes minutes. Took my ring and only asked how much as a courtesy. He charged me $20! My second bad experience was with getting a necklace repaired. Again, my mother in law dropped off 2 necklaces and a watch to have the battery changed. She asked the owner how much? He said dont worry about it we will work it out after. When she picked them up he charged her $30 each necklace to fix one link! Dishonest and a complete rip off! They lost several customers today.

Never will give them another dime!!! Brought my Casio G-shock in for them to replace battery. When got back, light didn’t work along with 2 of the 4 buttons to set and select mode. Sent out to Casio, O - ring seal was not seated correctly for water. Module was damaged and needed to be replaced!!! DONT let Danson replace your watch batteries!!! THEY ARE CLUELESS AND USELESS!!!!

Wow. What incredible service I received here. I bought a cherished wrist watch in for a battery and a new strap and asked about the possibility of having the watch refurbished - the finish was dull, the face was badly water stained, and the crystal cloudy and scratched. Other jewelers I have taken it to in the past declined to even touch it for fear of damaging it. Long-story-short, Dansons did an amazing job. The watch looks brand new - how it must have looked when my grandfather first bought it as a birthday present for my dad back in 1966. I was touched by Dansons commitment to doing only the best job, nothing less. This is a business that you can trust with your most valued possessions. Thank you Danson Jewelers.

The first review written about this business is by the owner, please ignore it. Dont be swayed by the hype of their commercials. Always get multiple quotes. Didnt have a great experience when I walked in and they certainly didnt offer to pay top prices for gold.
