Called to reserve first month for $1. Said after fees it was going to be $25. Reserved. Loaded up our furniture and when we got there, was informed it was going to be $65! Lies. I specifically asked for a final price on the phone including all fees. Went elsewhere on premise that they lied to me. Hate to know how much a month costs without the $1 deal.

I was at the Lapalco location yesterday and I feel compelled to say how professional Miss Darrenique is. She is a young dedicated employee who seems to like her job and on many occasions I have seen her cleaning in the aisles of the storage facility and cleaning out in the parking area as well as the front office. She greets people with a positive attitude and is knowledgeable about the facility. I’m a business owner and I was impressed by her ability and willingness to do the many tasks I saw her doing.

My visit to public storage was very pleasant the ladies helped me with getting the right space to accommodate my things and pack the right way they sell every packing supply you will ever need to protect your items... Thanks Again Ladies

Every visit that I have made to the Public Storage facility on Lapalco in Harvey has been very nice. The customer service that I receive from the young lady Darrenique is always friendly and she is very knowledgeable about everything that I ask her. I especially appreciate the fact that she remembered my name. It is always a pleasure to visit your facility when she is there.

Went in property to buy boxes. Wasnt sure what I wanted, the young lady and gentleman that was there was very helpful. The young lady helped me get everything I needed. We shared stories of our childhood while we were picking out boxes. She understood how important my valuable crystals were to me and told me how to pack them to protect them. Tamika was very polite and like a breath of fresh air. She helped me put my boxes in the car and everything. Went in for boxes and left out not only with boxes but felt like I made a new friend.

The staff is inviting always happy to see customers and always willing to help. This is my second time having a storage with this facility and they will always be my first choice if I need ever move. The facility is clean, well lit at night, has very convenient hours of operation and grants such security to where what I have housed is secure. Best storage place on the westbank by far.

This was the WORST experience I have had with a storage facility. I moved in about a year ago. In January they jacked up the price by $10/month without notifying me. Then I went to check on my stuff and noticed my unit leaked from the rain and ruined my medical books, clothes, and camping supplies. They were getting moldy so I took pictures and threw them out so the mold and mildew smell wouldnt spread. Not to mention there were roaches everywhere (I know it can be difficult to get rid of those creatures down here in the deep south but still!). When I tried to file a claim I was told that I wouldnt get any money because I hadnt shown my damaged items to the property manager... So even though they acknowledged there was a leak and I had pictures of my damaged items ($700 tent, $100 sleeping bag, clothes, and medical books and notes, etc.).. I couldnt get reimbursed at all. Not even one month free for the damages! The property manager then told me that the leak had been fixed but when I went back while it was raining.. there was still water flowing in from the wall! I am so disappointed. I pay $100/ month for most of my stuff to get damaged? ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. DO NOT trust them with anything valuable or sentimental!

Gate is open 75% of the time. Had my lock popped off my unit. Said it was done by a customer on accident. So much stuff, I cant tell if anything is missing. Had to inform office about leaves covering the drains so water could go down. If it didnt cost me to move my stuff, I would. I dont feel my things are safe. Paying $138 per month and I feel like I have to check often to make sure everything is still there. The upkeep is horrible. Place looks abandoned.Today is 11-11-17. Gate is still broken. When someone breaks into our units, I have more than enough evidence to show that I have been complaining about this gate. And I dont want insurance. I want everything in my unit replaced as I have photos of the contents as well. Paying $138 per month and my stuff is not secure. Whats the point! I can buy a shed and put it in my backyard and save a lot of money.
