UPDATE: Someone reached out and offered to complete job for the $110 we paid already plus cost of the part... that was nice. However, as we were looking to keep budget low we had to open up the laptop to get the part number and found that theres no possible way this place actually opened it up as stated... it was a very simple fix... it was a loose connector pin. Popped it back in and problem solved... so... still feel ripped off the cost was $110 just to look at it and the looking at it part very obviously never happened. Conclusion... paid $110 for this place to just guess that it needed a brand new screen, and we fixed it. Would have increased to 3 or 4 stars based on their eagerness to make this situation right... but after opening up the laptop ourselves and finding that they could not have possibly done so when they stated they had... not happy.ORIGINAL REVIEW: My friend and I dropped a laptop off here on Friday because the lcd screen was no longer working. Paid $110 up front. Contacted on Monday and was told it needs a new screen and will need another $110 plus the part to fix. Just picked it back up today and will take business elsewhere.So, apparently this place just charges $110 to walk through the door. There are a lot of places out there that provide free consultations... Id probably take my business elsewhere.

We are a business in Hanover that has worked the Shields for a couple of years. They have always been honest and direct with their services. I may not always like they answer, but we have benefited from their consultation. Note - They do not overfix. If a machine is past its prime, they will let you know.
