The staff were friendly and helpful. It`s was a good place to work out. It wasn`t too busy and there`s a wide variety of workout machines. The locker room was clean.

Called about wanting to swim. the guy was perfesional, friendly and answered my questions easily and well! very impressed with the customer service!

I swim most mornings at the Y and the staff is friendly and welcoming.. They make it an enjoyable visit. Reserving a lane online is super easy and efficient.

Clean and Friendly environment. Never too crowded. Lifeguard always on duty. Havent tried a spin class or yoga class yet but I will. Plenty of nice equipment. Brand new elipticals and treadmills. Can even watch Netflix or TV on the eliptical screens. I enjoy this facility very much!

Excellent childcare, outstanding family rates, people don’t realize: spin classes, group boot camps, and other group activities and the pools / aquatic centers are FREE with membership. Childwatch is up to 2.5 hrs a day which is best deal around. It’s a family environment FIRST! Love this place!

Child watch is very convenient and the equipment is good......but honestly the friendliness of staff has really gone down hill.I don’t think I’ve seen anyone (except Jeanette) at the front desk smile. I usually have to smile and say hi first when checking in which is kind of awkward and unwelcoming. Same with child watch, sometimes they’ll say hi to you and your child, other times they’ll barely look up (this has happened at not so busy times too)Look, I’m truly not one to usually complain about customer service but when you pay $70+ a month for a membership, it’s nice to at least be welcomed when you walk through the doors or drop off your children. Shoot, even just some eye contact would be an improvement. If childcare wasn’t a necessity, I’d probably just go to planet fitness and save my money.

I took their CPR course. I would not recommend taking it. The instructor did not do a very good job. I feel she rushed through it and it seemed very unorganized. Most of the students were employees of the YMCA and I think they knew most of it so the instructor just did not cover it well. I was suppose to receive my certificate withing a couple of days and it has been over a month and I have called twice and we still have not received it.

I highly value my membership to the Fitting YMCA. The classes are very beneficial and fun, led by friendly professional staff. There are so many options also for working out on my own with knowledgeable staff available for advice.

Great with kids

They have lots of activities for either the whole family or for individuals. They offer swimming lessons,volleyball lessons they have racket ball courts. There are passes you can buy for optimal use of the facility

Ive been a member for at least 5 years, but I hardly ever go because Im a college student and have other responsibilities. Im trying to get into better shape, so since I have a ymca membership, I figured that signing up for classes could help me stay on track since planet fitness doesnt offer classes like yoga or zumba. I looked online at the class schedules for the three ymcas in the Hamilton area and I picked ones that I can work into my busy schedule. For some reason it wouldnt let me sign up for the classes I wanted online so I decided to go to the fitton ymca to register them. When I get there, the receptionist has this nasty attitude with me and when I tell her my first classs location, she tells me it doesnt exist. I told her it was the one on the East side of Hamilton and she had no idea what I was talking about. So I had decided to let that go and when it came to scheduling the class I wanted at the fitton ymca, she told me that they didnt offer it at the time that was on the website. I probably wouldnt have had such a terrible time the ten minutes I was in there if the lady hadnt been so rude to me. Ill try the other branches but Im never going back to the fitton branch ever again. Just freakin rude!

There are no fitness classes offered from 1-4, and that is the only thing I dont like.
