Went in to inquire on how to buy cars, the customer service lady is helpful and she showed me all I needed to do. Anyways everything is online, and the lady she familiar with alot dealers and shes knew them by their names, that was awesome.

So far I will give a 2 star rating. Copart was contracted by an insurance company to come pick up my totalled car. I called because I had some questions about the pick up process and person one the phone was short with me and spoke over me. I also very much got the impression they were coming today to get my car before 3 and it is now almost 5...

My SUV was declared totaled by insurance GEICO so 4 weeks ago i went to pick up my belongings inside my vehicle which was in parking slot # 52586071 and my VIOFO dash camera worth $300 was no longer there, it was there before they towed it and it was not there anymore and they offered no explanation to GEICO.

This is the Worst Copart location that I have picked up from. Manager is very rude and unprofessional. I do not recommend. I refuse to even look at the vehicles for auction at this location.

Copart-Minneapolis North is a pretty customer friendly place. They have the covid-response plan going but still talk to you and listen to your questions or concerns. Also they seem to have the vehicle transfer paperwork down pat and the place is neat. On the phone they respond well. No rudeness at all. BUT, buyer beware. It is the nature of their business that you buy as-is, where-is. So thoroughly inspect whatever you want to buy BEFORE you bid.

No service, I dont know what kind of business they are. I drove by and saw some junk cars and the name copart. I thought they might sale car parts. So I went in and there is a lady on the phone. I waited for about ten minutes and there no greeting not even acknowledge I was there.

I can see people making money auctioning off other peoples stuff but brokers? That is like legal scams. I just dont like it

AVOID, do NOT let your vehicle get towed to Copart! They are thieves and will steal anything of value and you will not get it back.

Wont assist at all after the sale. Once they sell it you need to figure out everything, even paperwork they should provide.

There are no complaints at all to the office workers, at least I have never had any problems with them. But forklift drivers create problems. Every time I wait more than an hour to pick up a couple of cars. None of them was polite to me yet: I didn’t put my truck in the right way, the driver didn’t has breakfast properly and therefore he couldn’t work quickly, etc. They are very slow!

Terribke experience every time. Multiple office staff who wont look your way to answer a simple question. They would rather chat with one another than help you. 20minute wait for a simple yes/no.

They were efficient in takimg care of transferring the car title, so my insurance can pay me for the auto accident from someone hitting my vehicle.

The staff is TERRIBLE!!!! We arrived for pick up on time, before 4:30pm and were told to wait in line for pick up. At exactly 4:30 the staff that brings vehicles out of the yard left and everyone was told they are closed and we are out of luck!

Was very confused on how to help my Aunt with her totaled car and thanks to Cortney and Heather at Copart (Yard 880) I was walked through the procedure and they were so very helpful. Things had not been going very well (because of my Aunts Accident) but with such nice people at Copart, they turned the experience in to a positive event. I thank you and my Aunt is very grateful!.

Extremely unprofessional personnel.I called to make sure if my car is ready to pick up, twice spoke with rep and received confirmation.Then I spend 4 hours driving only one way, and when I came another representative said that this car isn’t here yet!!!General manager, Kyle Dalton, only said “everybody is a human, everybody makes mistakes “But for me it was cost around 300$-to come and not pick up a car.Everybody is very gentle, but I hope they also will be more responsible for outgoing info.

The main manager is so so rude and they list cars saying they run when they clearly don’t just so that they can sell them and they cars are way worse shape when you get there to pick them up. Top it off when I told them about it. Kyle Daltonlaughed and started cussing at me. Then they have a paper posted saying they will bring the cars for you so they can charge an ungodly amount of money to bring them to you. I did take pictures of the car before I even messed with it

Was forced to deal with Ham lake Copart through my insurance. Pick up for my vehicle was scheduled, then followed by no call no shows three days in a row. After pickup my vehicle was delivered to the wrong lot and apparently lost by their staff. They claimed Title and Vehicle had to be at the same lot for them to release paperwork to my Insurance agency. Their mishandling of the situation delayed my insurance payment for a week. I have honestly never had to deal with a more incompetent organization.

Most fees I have ever been charged an a online auction. Bought a Ice Castle on the online auction and was way over charged. Bought the Ice Castle 11/26/2019 late afternoon before thanksgiving was down in Georgia for my brothers graduation at infantry school. Went to pick the Ice Castle Up on Monday 12/2 Thanksgiving was on prior Thursday. The balance was $11,140 I had a credit card with a limit of $10000 to pay with but they said I needed to put it all on one credit card. I told them I needed to put $10,000 on one card and the balance on the other since the one has a limit of $10,000. Copart also had $2500 held on another credit card. They said it all has to be done with one transaction. So I then drove 1.5 hours back to my bank and go ta cashiers check for the full amount and went back the next day. They then added a fee for $39 they could not tell me what it was for. So this was not true that they could not take two forms of payment because they did in fact take two forms of payment cashiers check + the $39.50 fee they could not explain. They added it on the invoice. I listed off the extra fees below. I have to say the $39.50 fee was the one I was most upset about because they could not explain what it was for and it was added on the invoice on the last day when I picked it up.Buyer Fee $1275Virtual Bid Fee $129Gate Fee $5911/30 Storage fee $511/30 Late Payment fee $50 I uploaded a form to do ACH on my bank account and it had not processed not my fault12/2 Storage Fee $2512/3 Storage Fee $2012/3 $39.50 Fee they added on last minute and could not tell me what it was for$1602.50 Total fees with out the title transfer fees and without the sales tax. I am also tax exempt but they will not allow me to purchase tax exempt because I do not have a dealer license. I do not need a dealer license to rent out Ice houses so I had to file for a refund on the sales tax they would not accept my MN ST3 tax form.

Horrible company, they sent me on a wild goose chase for my own property, further damaged my property while in their possession and I’m currently on day 3 of calling his very unprofessional company to file complaints, DO NOT do business with them as they don’t care about you.

Just an FYI Very poor service and accountability. Counter ppl not very knowledgeable, They give you different $ amounts every time I have been here. and I always call to be sure what I owe to be prepared with cashiers check! Only this location all others in MN are far superior compared to this unorganized copart location. And to top all of this off the 300 key fob the car needs to run and operate is now stolen not in car but was pictured tied to steering wheel and purchased as engine start program. Beware they will not promise keys even if they are pictured.

The staff was very helpful in coordinating transportation with me, and they shipped my documents quickly. I have Nothing but good things to say about the crew up there.

I started my Premium membership with Copart in 2018 and paid $650 to get this. I was informed that my limit would be increased beyond the standard $1000 limit. Ive tried 3 times now to get this corrected with no luck. I just get a lot of Im so sorry to hear that from member services after waiting 10-30 minutes on hold each time OMG so frustrating!! Its so sad that they dont just do what theyre supposed to and give their customers what they pay for. I can only hope that Google reviews will somehow will wake them up to their shortcomings. Copart as a company is terrible and Ive lost more time and money from dealing with them then anyone should ever have to. This is what happens to businesses when they get too big for their own good.

Be very careful about dealing with these dudes. I bought a 2015 malibu that had primary damage of water/flood and secondary damage of hail. I had the car shipped to me and there are parts missing off the engine and it wont even turn over. They claim they cant do anything for me because it left the lot.

I bought a car in last weeks auto auction it was described well photos were on point payment was fast and painless when i picked up my car the office staff were proficient and speedy to get me in and out and on my way to the sub lot to pick up my car i will definitely deal with copart again

Well Im not happy with this place. My dad and I went to their sub lot to get some things from my old car. I would think that they would check all of the vehicles that they decide to haul with their forklifts or at least mark them at the beginning of the day so they know whats what. My dad parked in a bad spot so Ill give them that. But for real, towing my dads truck, a truck that had absolutely no problems with it whatsoever. They could have damaged it with their forklift 😡

Worst service ever. Accepted offer for vehicle and scheduled it 2 days out. The time frame I was given was “sometime between 8am and 4pm” and when I called they kept telling me he was on his way. Waited for 10 hours on scheduled day and driver was a no show. Do not use this company, you will waste your life away waiting for them

If I could give no or negative stars I would. My daughter had set up to have her car picked up at a repair shop today & towed away. They gave her the ‘window’ of 12-5. Since my daughter had to work, I said I would meet them at the repair shop & they were supposed to call me en route to it. At 4:40 I still hadn’t heard anything & they close at 5. So I called & they checked & said that dispatch said the tow truck driver would be calling me soon. So I got into my car & drove to the repair shop because that closed at 6 & I wanted to get her keys from them to hand over along with the title to the vehicle that I had. When I got to the repair shop, her car was gone! They told me someone came from Coparts & picked it up at 2:30! There was no check left for my daughter even though there was a note on their end saying to do so. The men at the repair shop said that when they came to get the car, they asked who to write the check to, but the repair shop told them they didn’t know & to contact the owner of the vehicle.My daughter also wanted her key chain back. But they took her car, key & keychain, didn’t leave a check & didn’t get the title. Very poorly run.And when I talked with Coparts at 4:40, no one told me the car had already been picked up! They said they would be calling me soon.I would not recommend this place to anyone. Very poor service & communication to the tow truck drivers.Beware!

Bought Maserati, keys are on the pic. On the pick up there is no key. Called support and they said that they dont care, they are not responsible. Copart stole key and doesn’t want to resolve it. Now im 500$ off for a key for maserati.

Again visited to pick my car up. Friendly lady (sorry could not catch the name) in the front desk handled documentation at no time and quickly received my car. Ive inspected the car before and as expected it runs and drives great! Thank guys.

High hidden fees after you purchase a vehicle. If it seems like a decent deal it probably isnt. Once you purchase a vehicle it was super easy though. Give them the slip and they put the vehicle on your trailer with a payloader.payloader. easy in and out

Service is nice, but the fees for there auction is so high these day. I won a car at $1900 and after all the fees it came up to $2900. They charge people fees that are ridiculous and can’t be avoid. Like gate fee. And then there’s also the issue with lost key, please address these issue.

They worked slowly with my license plates, eventually after 4 weeks and my many calls I got incorrect license plates, they lost my license plates I had to wait 3 weeks more, they dont care about their fault as should. Finally Ive paid for it myself because I got wrong information from them, I had gotten incorrect informations from them many times. After they said Unfortunately, we cant compensate anything for you. Its a very bad job.

Dont drive past this place at 5pm during the week. Every day when employees get off they shoot out of the parking lot almost causing accidents and racing south on 65.

Bought a car last year. Now my phone doesnt stop ringing with vehicle warranty people. I told the guy and he said someone sold your personal info to hundreds of companies. Well they all call about the car I bought from coparts. Very unhappy about this.

Went in today to get my personal items out of my car that was sent to them. When i got into my car items were missing and someone had gone into it and put my belongings into bags and stole all my change and some of my CDs. When i confronted the supervisor about it all he did was talk down to me like its my fault they were still in the car. I wanted to call the police but it would not accomplish anything. I would have given ZERO STARS but that is not an option.

Very unfriendly stuff. They dont rush to help you. You can stay in the lobby for 10 minutes and nobody offer any help. Also they close at 4:30, so if you will come at 4:40 you not able to get your car, even they should work until 5.

Avoid these people at all cost. They lie about their listings and the condition of there vehicles using terms like runs and drives. They charge massive hidden fees on top of the price of the vehicle. Unlike eBay or other dealers, there is no one to help for you on a dispute process.
