Robert and Phillip are amazing, and they have me as a customer for life!! I had a major mechanical overhaul done somewhere else (I didnt know about Selective) on my 2000 C70. When I got it back, it had a starting problem that it didn’t have before all of the repairs. I took it back and the shop worked on it for weeks trying this and trying that, and charging me for everything, but nothing cured the problem.I found Selective via online search, read the reviews and took my car in the next day. Phillip and Robert analyzed the problem working from most likely/least costly possibility to less likely and more expensive options. Miraculously, they figured out that there was electrical interference caused by worn insulation on some wires, but they also discovered that the other shop had left out some bolts when they installed the new transmission.Both of them are so knowledgeable, dedicated and persistent, and the bill was surprisingly low. Regardless of what vehicle I own, these are my mechanics from now on. I highly recommend them, you could not be in better hands.

I was looking to buy a vehicle from a Florida dealership, and I contacted Selective Automotive. For a very fair price, they went and looked at vehicle on my behalf. It was a great experience. I ended up not getting the vehicle, based on their great advice. They saved me, and I found my perfect car somewhere!

First stopped in about 30 years ago when Toyota tried to sell me a new AC compressor! Phillip showed me that the belt was loose and tightened the screw for free. Since then I have been taking my cars to Selective and have never felt that I was overcharged or given a raw deal . Over the years, the service that I have received from them has been top notch.

My Volvo warranty expired in February and I was in search of a good mechanic when I found this place yesterday. The owner Philip explained everything that was wrong with my car and showed me the parts that were replaced. Unlike the dealer and other auto shops I’ve been to I didn’t feel that I was being taken advantage of. Philip the owner and his emplyees were so attentive and I left knowing this would be my mechanic from now on. I’m sending my daughter and my mom there next time they need work on their cars. I came across Selective Auto quite by accident in 2000 when I was at a factory right across the street. I just happen to be in the market for an independent shop to service my wifes Volvo S70. Since then Phillip and his team have serviced my BMW 540, my BMW 550 and the S70 replacement, the XC90-V8.I would recommend Selective Automotive for any automotive repair. Theyre not a body shop but they can oversee the process to make sure its done right.
