I have been a customer of Auto Zone for many years, this store is heart beat lane. They seem to only hire the dregs of the dregs, slow moving no matter how long the lines in the store are and move about as though they are doing everyone a favor. Now mind you not at all locations to be fair, but most definitely at this one all the time. If ever there was a need for under cover boss, this place is it. I will continue to shop at Auto Zone but never again at this location. When in Hackensack I will shop at Pep Boys which is right down the street, with a much better staff.

The people who work here are nice and helpful. Ive been getting wiper blades for our 2 cars at this location for the last few years and I wouldnt go anywhere else. UPDATE:Returned to Autozone with the other car today (in the rain) and Jimmy R was a champ at getting my new wipers on. Thank you very much!

Rarely would I ever consider giving an autozone such a good review, but the service I got here really impressed me. Specifically, the employee named Dan showed tremendous expertise and saved me from some major headaches.

Honestly, what nice salespeople. The person who helped me replaced my filter, and was kind enough to help me find the cabin air filter at another location because they were out. Good customer service is hard to find, but this place has it!

The sales people are great but severely overworked and underpaid. I’ve worked for this horrible company in the past when I was younger before I started my career , the only reason I’m giving it 5* is because of the people in there slaving away and doing the best they can. We need a $15/hr federal minimum wage ASAP!

I had come here for air filters for my car (both the engine and cabin filters). I had asked when purchasing them if they had replacement screws for the cover of my engine filter as it was severely rusted and asked for the tools I may need to get the cover off. The man working offered to help install them with their own tools. As I thought, the one in my engine was so rusted we were unable to get the cover off to replace it. However, as he was trying to replace the engine one, I attempted the one in the cabin and started messing with the glove box to access it. Im a 21 year old female. I had my nails done with acrylic tips, making it hard to pop out the piece without breaking a nail. I never told the man my reason on giving up on trying to replace the cabin filter. I just said it was too complicated to access and that I would bring them someone to have installed. He then asked if he can attempt it and he managed to access the cabin filter to replace it for me. He even had me sit in my passenger seat to attempt it myself so that I would know for future reference how to fix it myself. I thought that was so nice that not only did he help to install it but he took the time to actually teach me.

Usually AutoZones are pretty hard to deal with because of how busy these places get... I understand that customer service sometimes can be on the downside, but I went in here and I just didnt feel like they really cared much about my existence lol. I waited in line to be helped but was not helped so I then just stepped in front of their view so they can see that I need assistance. Thats when I was being assisted. Maybe some AutoZones vary depending on the workers, but what I was looking for a part; the AutoZone in Paterson actually took the time to leave from his register to get the parts for me. This one here just directed me to which aisle to go to and which parts to look for. So if youre somebody thats familiar with car parts, then I guess its easy to find them. But if youre somebody who doesnt know any better, I think youll have a hard time shopping here. But the AutoZone inside is clean. The atmosphere doesnt feel really bad honestly. Its a little hard to get to this AutoZone thou, just because of the way youre entering. Just be mindful of entering and everything will be okay. Shelves here are stacked very well and in order.

Incredible customer service. We pulled off the highway in the middle of a nine hour drive because we noticed the headlights on our car were out. We rushed in five minutes before closing suspecting a blown fuse. The gentleman working there told us no worries and no rush, he’d help us out. And help us out he did! He ruled out the blown fuse, stuck his arm into the engine compartment... wiggled something and the lights came on. Truly a blessing.

Very hot day visited and my battery light was on, staff there were very helpful with quick and responsive checkups..and in 5 min they told me alternator is fine, also checked the battery multiple times just to make sure...and cleaned the battery posts super carefully. Afterwards they told me what to expect and do as the next step. Top notch team and service! Will come back if I need anything.

Excellent customer service. I had to replace my headlight and went to buy one. The person who helped me explained the difference between the available lights, gave me good recommendations and kindly put the light I bought.

The team seemed spaced out on a Sunday. They didn’t know what “thread sealant” was, two team members were walking around with AirPods in and another guy was falling asleep at the register. When I was next up I was skipped over by a team member that brought girls up to the register.This used to be a good location but after this visit I’ll take the drive to a better part shop.

I have to say the service here was excellent the last time I visited this AutoZone. Maybe it was just my luck to ask for help from an employee who is extremely knowledgeable and has great customer service skills. Other visits to AutoZone have been a mixed experience. I came in to get my battery and alternator tested, and I knew I would need one or the other. After a quick test the employee determined it was the battery that was weak and showed me different options to fix the problem. Unfortunately, the battery wasnt a perfect oem fit, but the employee made it work with the limited tools that he had. Great service, but I feel for $150 the battery should have OEM design specifications, and fit perfectly.

This is the second time I come here for something. The first time was for a battery and alternator/starter test and it went well. He told me my battery had a lot of life left and everything else was good.Second time my left headlight went out. I went and picked out the bulbs and the worker who works there actually changed the bulb for me even when he didnt need to. Im very happy that he did it for me saves me time and i dont have to do it myself.Overall nice experience there would come again.

Went to get an engine air filter that was supposedly on hand at this location according to the web site. It turned out they didn’t have it. They young lady that was there was very nice as i also had her find me a set of windshield wipers that i didn’t end up buying. Im now going to order my air filter online and have it sent to the store.

I see a lot of bad reviews for this place but my experience was pleasant. The clerk came over and asked if I needed help and made suggestions for me. I would definitely go back for my auto needs.

I have been to multiple different AutoZone throughout New Jersey, and with all honesty, nothing beats the AutoZone in Hackensack, NJ. I was personally having issues with my power steering as it was constantly leaking all the steering fluid out. If it werent for Devin going out of his way to listen to my car concerns and to then recommend me a product from the store that works miracles, I still wouldve been dealing with the same problem. I am still in shock how this product (BlueDevil Power Steering Stop Leak) permanently fixed the leak it had.Overall, I have never been so satisfied with such a product and most of all, the excellent customer service this place has to offer. Devin was very honest, kind, and overall very attentive. A big shout out to Devin for all his knowledge and hard work. We definitely need more individuals like him in the workplace! Thank you once again for going above and beyond Devin!
