Find someone else- no one is interested in helping- They are glad to charge the $125 fee just to come take a look and then give you bad or inaccurate advice on how you can fix it yourself to help save you money so that they can move on to the next call and record the quick and easy $125 fee they charge just to come out. No good.

Called for service over two weeks ago and they said they would call to schedule a time. I never got the call and when I called today to let the person know, she sounded like they had better things to do than to lose a sale for some work. 1/5 stars and would not recommend to anyone. Ill be using a better company than this one.

One star rating only because 0 is not an option.We have dealt with this company for years, and you have been able to see a steady decline in customer service. For the most part, the techs have been great, professional, knowledgeable, and on time. But from the customer service, to the scheduling, down to the preparations at the warehouse making sure the proper quality materials are sent out with the techs is about the worse I have ever seen it anywhere. And their inability to even attempt to make right their mistakes has me at a loss for words.SAVE YOUR MONEY AND TIME, use another company and get treated as a customer should. All should avoid this business at all costs.A simple job for them to fix our fireplace started 2 weeks late on a day I had to take a half day from work, in which they were late due to scheduling mistake. Crew showed up with the wrong floor panel, due to warehouse error, then when the new piece arrived it was damaged at the or in transit from the warehouse. At which time they had to wait for a new shipment. A few days later they contact us and said if we could have someone home they would come by with the right materials and finished. My wife took off the afternoon for them to call and say they had to reschedule. After a complaint they said they would call back, after notifying that a few other warehouse pieces were broken they found one. A crew showed up and got the job done to a satisfactory finish.

Terrible service! Waiting since January on this company to fix my fireplace. Each time I was told they had a lot of people in line and they would contact me. I was told to contact RWJ vent dryer to schedule an appointment. I have contacted top hat and rwj numerous times. Big time hassle!

Keith and his crew are top notch . We hired them to do a retro fit of 4 gas fireplaces on a higher end lodge that had some specialty inserts needed . These guy came thru with quality , service , and knowledge . I would not hesitate to recommend them for any fireplace needs be it gas logs , cleaning , or anything in between . Thanks guys for a job well done.

I’m a contractor in Gulfport. I Asked them to come out and measure, make and install chimney cap. They weren’t even interested in earning my business. They wanted me to climb up and measure myself. Horrible customer service.

I had my fireplace and chimney inspected and a new cap installed by Top Hat Fireplace Store. Their fabrication department did an superb job building this custom cap. It looks terrific and was priced affordably. Their customer service is outstanding too. Mr. Wayne was a pleasure to work with. He did a professional installation and ensured everything topside was clean. I highly recommend Top Hat and will continue to do business with them. Definitely five star service!

Super impressed with this company. Kane called ahead, showed up ahead of time. Did a great job without making a mess. Also checked the roof/chimney for possible problems. Overall, the $100 was well spent knowing our fireplace is safe to use. I highly recommend this company !!

We had two new garage doors installed. They installed one new motor and moved our old motor to a new location. We were charged more for the old motor being moved than the new motor. Stupidly we did what they advised us to do. Now were are stuck with a 12 year old motor with a wall button that does not work. They refuse to come out and correct the problem and do not care. They only want to be paid. They have been waiting one month for payment (I will pay when my garage door works) and we had to wait MONTHS for them to even show up to install doors. Clearly they do not care about the customer.

Could not have received more professional and friendly service by a very nice young man. Matt I think was his name. Had a 9:00 AM appointment. He drove up at 8:59 AM! This is the only chimney sweep/cleaning company we will ever use. 5-Star Rating.

Matt has cleaned our fireplace several times, We will not let anyone in Mobile clean for us, he is super courteous, efficient, very trustworthy, he has also done work for us such as replacing refractory walls. HIGHLY recommend Top Hat Fireplace Store

I called knowing my Heatilator fireplace model and estimated install date, having the Heatilator manual I found online from a Google search in front of me, with part numbers, to ask about replacement parts and was told without a serial number and date code that I could not be helped. Customer service was very short and rude with me, acting like I was the one being rude by saying all you need is a model number. So I called Heatilator corporate customer service and got the information that this dealer told me they could not get.Next time, hear out your customer and dont act like theyre clueless. Your corporate counterpart did what you could not in a minute. You can bet I wont buy from this store - probably just go with a different brand since its not even around the Mobile, AL area.
