I was searching for a new mechanic when I was recommended this place, took my wifes car in and they repaired her A/C and front axels for a fair price.Took my truck in a few weeks later to get a couple things looked at and they replaced a wheel bearing for me. When I arrived to pick up my truck I was notified that my interior door handle was broken off and they would repair it for no labor cost but I have to buy the $70 part, which I cant find online for less than $100.This doesnt sit right with me as I didnt break my handle and was no where near my truck when It broke but I have to spend more of my money to get it repaired. My search continues for a shop to take my vehicles. If they would have replaced what they broke I would give 5 starts and highly recommend, but that is not the case.

I can’t thank Adam enough for his quick service. I was in a pinch getting home for a funeral that was very important to me and he was able to work my car in and get me on my way.

I have been taking my cars to Adam for years. He did a great job on my Pontiac grand am, Ford E150, and now my Chevy tahoe. He gives a fair price for the work done. If you are on a budget he will definitely work with you, he knows what he is doing and talking about and never pressures you into anything. Even when he has been busy working on a car he has always taken the time to stop and answer my questions. I definitely recommend taking your vehicle here. He is very straight forward!

At first glance you would think this place is just as it says Mufflers and brakes, but these guys handle any repair I need with fair prices and friendly faces. It can be hard to trust a shop with your car repair while also worrying about the impending cost. This place is highly recommended!

I came in for a new motor and when I got my car back it was worse than when I originally brought it in to get fixed. I later brought the car back to get it RE FIXED and they did NOT connect anything back together also mostly all of the plastic materials are now broken and he expects me to pay for the new parts. THIS IS A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE TO GET YOUR CAR FIXED AT. YOU WILL WAIT MONTHS. OHH I FORGOT TO MENTION NOW I HAVE NO RADIO and no one know how that happened. I AM TERRIBLY UPSET. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE WITHOUT A CAR FOR MONTHS OR YOU DONT MIND PAYING FOR SOMEONE ELSES MISTAKES. If I could give them no stars I would!!!!

I love going here, the mechanics know their stuff and always give the best deal. Theyve backed up their work for me before when unforeseen things happened and I needed another repair for the same thing. Always friendly service. Ill continue to go here even after I move out of the area. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

They worked on my sons Ford Ranger and we brought them an exhaust project that every other so-called exhaust shop couldnt do, said couldnt be done or wouldnt try it. Adam is honest, caring, and reliable -- something we need more of these days. Ive taken 3 family cars here over the last few months and cant say enough about our satisfaction. I had another recent issue and he helped me out and didnt even charge me, even after putting it up on a lift twice! Class act business.

Brought in the header and an aftermarket muffler for my bike to have some modifications done to it and not only did they have it finished with in an hours time, but they also did a fantastic job! I had prior good experience 2 times with power steering and brake problems on one vehicle, so I brought my second vehicle in for overheating issues. I had to drop it off after hours because of my work schedule but I left a note with the keys explaining my issues. The guy said my radiator cap was bad and I was low on coolant and I picked the car up the next day. Well, I drove the car on my way to work and on the expressway I had the same issue and pulled over to let the car cool off. After about 20 min I started it back up and blew a head gasket and got a cracked engine block because of mixing fluids. I had 2 uncles, my father, and a family friend look it over and they all said the thermostat was my problem and there was no sign of the thermostat having been checked at all. The screw was corroded and grimy and would have shown signs of slight wear if it had been taken off to be checked. So because of the Muffler Man my rather inexpensive problem became a totalled car. I went to him with to try and sort things out and ask for a discount for him to do the work and he tossed my keys down on the counter, said have a nice day and walked off.

Had them tow in my boys car when the power steering pump seized up on my son, they called me two hours later with repair estimate. The said it needed power steering pump ($350.°°part/150 labor) and a rack and pinion ($325. Part labor similar) I also asked them to scan the codes for emissions. (75.°° labor credited back if they repair)One hour later they inform me it also needs a right bank catalytic converter (clogged they said), $750 for cat (rare part) plus another pipe would need replaced, plus labor. I asked is it worth saving?They said that it could easily go another several years after these repairs but the call was mine. I held off on rack/pinion because it also would have required full alignment and mechanic also questioned rotors. Still cost me $2300.°°Engine code came back as soon as engine got 50 mi. on odometer, exhaust louder AFTER repair, power steering fluid literally leaked in steady stream which they faulted the rack seals.Broke down and bought code reader, comes up with catalytic converter code again, query Google, find three different articles two YouTube vids all stating this is an engineering failure NOT the converter, two were muffler industry articles, one a notice from Nissan. It is a 5v signal mismatch, refer to electric diagram. The power steering leak also brought up another repetitive failure of power steering line also noting it was consistently misdiagnosed as rack issue. Bought line at Auto part store for 60.°°, 1.5 hours later I had installed not only the hose, but also front brakes, inspected the rack and pinion/tie rods with no problems evident there, but there was an unreal amount of rust damage on the undercarriage and obviously unsafe operating condition.They are either that bad at diagnosis or dont care what their product/service integrity looks like.

Its very hard to find honest repairs shops. However, on two different occasions they have diagnosed my vehicles and could have easily charged me for unnecessary repairs but chose to be honest. In addition to not charging me a diagnostic fee, they told me exactly was wrong with the vehicle and top off my fluids with no charge at all. My wife and I have 3 vehicles that we get fixed here and is very please with their services. We will continue to do business with them in the future and highly recommend their services to our friends and family.

Adam and the guys there are great!!! Dropped my car off in the am and they had it finished and ready to go before the end of the day!!! This included oil change, suspension work, brakes, and exhaust work!!! Prices are very competitive and reasonable!!! Ill definitely be bringing it back to them!!!

Thought i needed new brake shoes due to excessive squeaking even though they are new. They simply said they were out of adjustment instead of going straight to replacing the brake shoes. Will go back for future repairs. 10/26/2020 - They do a very good job. Unfortunately always busy in a good way so you may need to drop your car off depending on the work.

I was on my way home from work and my breaks finally bit the dust. I called a few places and no one could get me in right away. I only had the following day off before I had to drive back to Chicago for work. I called this place and he gave me a quote over the phone and had me come right over. It took less than an hour and he went above and beyond my expectations. My muffler also had a minor issue and he tied it up for me. That was greatly appreciated.In the past my grandmother had come here as well for brakes. One mechanic told her she needed new brakes. This guy took good care of her and come to find out, she didnt need new breaks.Honest mechanics are hard to find, but this place is a hidden gem.

Came here when my car was smoking and they put a new water pump on for me. Made me feel really comfortable while getting the work done I sat and watched tv for an hour and my car was done within a reasonable time and price range. Fair people. Would definitely recommend.

Staff at Muffler Man are all great at their job, going there when needed, they help you out and get the job done,and I TRUST them.

Unlike the other review, I have had nothing but good work done there. Everyone else that i have sent there says the same thing. Many times they did comp checkups and minor tweaks (like turning rotors). They replaced a 2001 Honda Odysseys catalytic converter for half of what Honda wanted and a Honda certified mechanic verified that it was the proper convert and installed well. Good job guys! THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL I TOOK THEM MY CAR FRIDAY THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO CALL BACK WITH THE PROBLEM NEVER DID !
