Very friendly... i have never seen a shop where the owner/manager went so far out of his way and above the call of duty to obtain parts, especially for my OLD car. It took longer than i expected but the parts were very difficult to find. I am duly impressed and would highly recommend them..

Dishonest, Lack of mechanical skill and problem solving that would be expected of even a shade tree shop. Our family has a very long history in the automotive industry, but at times, we too want to take our vehicles in and expect professionalism in the field when it comes to our personal vehicles.This being said, were proud of our vehicles, and maintain them to an almost perfect state, we know ever scratch, ding, and dent, and generally dont stop fretting over it until its fixed.My father purchased a new to him 1995 K2500 Suburban in a near Mint state, Have photos of all four sides, up to and including the night prior to the truck being dropped off. Now. The passenger side of the vehicle had NO DAMAGE, as a matter of fact, the only damage to the vehicle was a small touched up dent the size of a pea on the hood, and a small imperfection near the filler door. First issue is that the truck sat without the work being done for an extended period of time. Youre doing brakes, cap and rotor, and exhaust manifold gaskets...really? And your mechanics couldnt get a brake drum off of what is known across the industry to be one of the Simplest vehicles to work on? Its called muscle and a five pound sledge.Second problem is how the work was being performed when the truck entered the shop, How is it sensible to do cap, rotor and plugs BEFORE you pull the exhaust manifolds to do gaskets...youve effectively doubled your work and dwell time working on the vehicle, Straight stupidity. Then when my father comes in with a pretty renowned local mechanic, Greg then approaches my father with a statement to the effect of We take pictures of vehicles before they come into the shop, especially like this one, when it wasnt even asked, suspicious? Yeah, youre trying to cover your rear because you know someone screwed up, and made it a bigger deal than it needed to be. No one asked you, and you decided to shove your foot in your mouth and give yourself away to a Retired police officer, Detective, and Narcotics Interdiction Officer of over 20 years in the counties surrounding griffin, and a pretty damned good one at that.Not only this, my father called you, Greg, and you constantly made condescending smart aleck remarks instead of taking the matter seriously, I know, I was on the phone when he called, and guess what, Mine record.So, you screwed up, then lied, became dismissive and condescending and are now refusing to make it right, Id hate to see what you do to other customers. You make the profession seem more of a joke than it already is thanks to worthless mechanics like yourselves. Grow a pair, Own up, and take care of business as it should be .

Spent over 1000$ last week600 plus was labor that included wiring a blower in so I could have heat.instead of using three more feet of wire to run it to the inside of my van my new toggle switch is located under the hood. Sat my van quit,electrical problems sun i was towed to food depot that just around the corner from. Them i called mon and explained to him and asked if the wiring could be The problem because no power to the inside of the van.he was very hateful to me and said IF I can get it there they will look at it.not even an offer to help pull me there even as close as I am.never going back there

Pay them to replace my oil switch sending switch they did not replace it told me they did I left with the light still on on my truck went to get it scanned said it needed oil sending switch had to argue to get my money back out of the other shop xpress tire and Griffin at the same time I paid them to replace my starter this is January the 4th 2021 February 4th of 2021 had to call Mobile mechanic starter that was was replaced left me stranded call them back ask him about the warranty I was told I had to bring it in no way I already paid yall to do one job and had to argue to get the money back cuz you didnt do it now they refused to make the warranty good so now Im having to go to the national warranty department to get our money back wish me luck do not go to this place if you do beware and watch out

Ive come to this shop for 10 years if not longer. In the past Ive always been impressed with their professionalism, follow through, knowledge, and care. Greg has been amazing over years but sadly to say I am no longer an advocate of Xpress tire in Griffin. I went in with my car cutting off and batter light coming on, mechanic Fred on the phone told me it sounds like alternator and to bring it in. He calls me tells me he replaced the battery and a cable so I asked for an oil change as well, $208 dollars and should be good to go. When I am picking up my vehicle and loading Fred tells me my alternator is running a 3.8/ 3.9 which could last another 2 years. I trust him hes the professional. The very next morning my car dies in the EXACT same way. I call Fred he tells me its $200 to have it towed then refuses to take ANY ownership in the fact he failed as the pro. He tells me thats why he mentioned what he did about the alternator. Which is basically nothing. I feel that should have been informed of any possible problems and given the option to repair some while there. In the past I have trusted them because of their professionalism, care, thoroughness, and kindness. In the past they have always informed me of any issues found and would give me the option to fix. They would even show me the problems. This lets me know they are not thurough here anymore and do not really care about the customer. I finally got a call today and the issues are the sylinoid, the alternator and belt, a tensioner, and needs an engine clean $1115 in work oh and thats with a whopping $50 discount. Fred is not thurough and refuses to take ownership in his work and his word. I hate that after all these years and money spent with what used to be a VERY trustworthy and reliable shop that I will now be in search of a new shop. I am not the professional, the mechanic is, so I take my vehicle and money because I trust you to inspect, find, and fix. Not leave me in the exact same situation with the exact same problem and then not even take ANY responsibility on the lack of initiative taken.

Tried to get my wifes brake pads changed last minute before she was trying to leave for a work event out of town knowing I only had a few hours. I called in asking specifically how long it would take and the front desk attendant said no time at all and to come on in. I drive 30 minutes to go see them, I struggle to get myself and my 5 month old son through the doors while everyone offers no help and just watches me struggle. I ask again how long it will take and she says we will get it right in, it wont take long. I give her my keys and wait 10min while no one had brought my car into the garage, I asked a 3rd time how long it would take and finally the owner, Greg, came in and proceeded to ask me all the same questions that I had already answered and the answers were sitting on a clipboard in front of him. He started getting aggravated and told me they wouldnt know how long it would take till they look at it. I say, if its just the brakepads, how long will it take? I am on a tight schedule, thats why I called in. He gets more mad and tells me it would probably take an hour. I tell him I need my keys back then and rips them off the clipboard AND THREW THEM AT MY CHEST! AND TOLD ME TO GET OUT OF HIS SHOP! I told him thats why I called in and I had my 5 month old son with me. He said I DONT CARE, GET OUT! Ok, are you serious? This guy Greg forgot about the importance of customer service and the power of word of mouth advertising. Im gonna make sure no one I know ever goes to this run down, poor excuse of shop.

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS PLACE!!! I bought a supposedly new tired on 5/18/2016 and on 7/21/2016 I found out that supposed new tire went bad. I went there today and their service manager John Kuiper was completely rude. He clearly doesnt know what customer service is. After he rudely ask me for my Key that he didnt need. He looked at the tire and told me to come back when his boss is there. Unfortunately his boss is on Vacation so I have to buy another tire from a reputable company. SmhIts really sad bc when I first came to this place the owner Greg was so nice to me. And I even over heard him telling John that if he stop doing certain thing that angry customers wouldnt come back. That should have been my warning. In my opinion XPress Tire in Griifin, Ga are crooks. Their reviews on Yahoo are horrible and back up my claim. They sell you bad parts pretending theyre new. I will never come to this place nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone.

Unprofessional

I was looking for a good mechanic and I thought I found one, but when I had work done, it was not what I expected. I asked for them to look at it again and see if they could make the exhaust stop dragging the ground, and it was extremely difficult for me to go over railroad tracks, they said bring it in and they would look, when I brought it in three different times, they said it would be 4 hours. I paid already and waited already, I should have been moved to the front of the line, especially after $400 of work. I had to take the vehicle to another shop for and oil change, the exhaust was damaged, they fixed the exhaust, after days without my vehicle and dealing with the insurance company it was done right. I spoke with Greg about a refund on the work that they claim to warranty for 12 months, he said No, if you want to sue me then go ahead. Keep in mind the work was done by them in January 2015 and the new exhaust was added in February 2015. They do not stand behind their work and make no efforts to accommodate their customers. Greg, explained to me how I dont listen and that I am a deal deal, whatever that means.

Very nice people and fast service

I went to xpress tire to get my brake pads changed. I went back for my car and later in the day I noticed my AC was not working and eventually my car to shut down. I managed to get another mechanic to take a look at it and he realized that they had left the cap to my radiator open, causing all my coolant to evaporate and cause my engine to overheat. I was told that I was moments away from destroying my engine.I understand that mistakes can be made but heres the worst part of the story. I went to Xpress tires to let them know what happened and they denied and failed to take responsibility for what happened. The issues started happening a few hours after I took my car from them so no one else had touched my car in that period. I will not be going there again.

Xpress tire use to be my choice for all repairs (I have 4 vehicles) IE: tires, oil changes, A/C work, transmission etc..etc.. I just bought a used 1999 Blazer (for my son) W/ 36k one owner documented miles. There were no receipts as to maintenance work that had been previously done, so I went in and asked for transmission service, check the brakes, belts, and tires. These so called experts decided to FLUSH the transmission, versus dropping the pan and changing the fluid. Long story short, they ruined the transmission. I had to replace it for $2500. Upon looking into FLUSHING versus changing the fluid on the internet, it was CLEAR (based on everyone I talked to and research on the internet) that they should never have FLUSHED the transmission fluid, but changed it by dropping the pan. The manager/owner was to call me and discuss a fair plan to make things right (thats the message he gave my wife anyway). I never heard from him.

I went down to have a muffler installed and they didnt have the muffler I came for so one of the employees recommended another brand so I said okay just put it on then the day after they put it on I got under the truck and there was rust on the muffler and places messed up where it had been welded to another car I did not go there to get a used muffler they did not specify that it was used after I agreed they promptly folded the receipt in half so I would not see they where installing a used muffler I could forgive that but they did the most atrocious welding job I have ever seen in my life I have never welded in my entire life but I know expert welders they mounted the muffler wrong and as I said before I cannot stress enough that those are the most horrible welds Ive ever seen
