This was my first time dealing with S&S. It was a great experience. Straightforward and honest. It definitely wont be my last time there.

We moved her from out of state and dont have a go to trusted mechanic. I looked at reviews and came across S&S and figured Id give them a try with my car which had developed a grinding noise from what I expected was the front wheel. As it turned out they looked at it, said it was due to some rust buildup on the rear brake rotor, machined it and it was ready to go. Very honest and trustworthy. I then took my wifes car there to have the ac checked and they serviced that without issue for reasonable price also. I would highly recommend using this shop.

Super experience at a car repair place!The gentleman are real, give u the facts, and let you make your own decision based on same.I LOVE them and I will mot go anywhere else from now on. Prices reasonable, services top notch, and finance options in a crunch helped tremendously as a single parent!! Thank goodness I was sent to them. I felt well taken care of, for once, from a car shop instead of robbed blind.

Im so happy I stopped here for a new pair of tires for my truck. I had had a rough time the morning before when I caught a flat and Im so relieved that S&S could get me new tires on my vehicle so quickly. Im so grateful I found these guys. They are the most honest & professional car care that I have found in the last 4 yrs. Allen & Ricky have done everything to keep me safe in my BMW & Ford Ranger without any upselling or false claims to added services. I cant say enough about them going the extra mile. Again, my biggest praises & appreciation.

Friendly staff, but needed 1 motor mount replaced, which is a small piece, on top, a few bolts taken off and put on... not a very long or laborious job. Charged $80+ for labor, for a very short job. Was kinda shocked at the labor charge for what I know it entailed... nice clean bathroom and waiting area.

Was good they need to be aware of more training with the staff they now have sometimes power equipneeds not to be used on older units hand tools take it slower and is also effective without damaging anything

Great guys, service, and price. Comfy recliners in waiting area, i might have dozed a little.They did an emergency tire repair for me. Just wish they threw in one of those cool S&S tshirts (2x) for first time customers. Wink,wink.

These guys are truly great. They kept me up to date about what they were doing and apologized immensely for having to wait on parts. When I got my truck back (in a reasonable amount of time) everything I needed repaired was done and done correctly. I highly recommend them for 4x4 repairs. This place was recommended to us by a friend, and after reading great reviews we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately our experience was not great. We had to pay out of pocket for a job that did not need to be done based on what my husband THOUGHT but was unsure of. I gave two stars because they did diagnose the actual issue after charging us for something that didn’t need to be changed. I understand miscommunication happens, but when it costs time off of work and money out of pocket for unnecessary repairs it makes for not not trusting a business for future services.

Bought my car 2 months ago from Nissan and the check engine light came on and it was making a loud whinny noise. I took it to Nissan and they told me they couldn’t fix it because it was a Chevy!! So I took it to S&S and they knew exactly what the issues were and fixed it. They are very honest, professional, and fast.

Awesome prices. 5 Star Customer Service. Same day tires if not next day! Only downfall was the wait to get the work done and the tires put on. Its on a first come first serve basis though so you have to understand that. Very pleasant to work with.

I have been going here for a couple months now and everytime I have recieved excellent customer service from Allen, Ricky, and the techs. You can tell its a well taken care of shop that strives to take care of the customer.

Ricky and all the people at S&S are great. I have a 2001 Bullitt and they acquired the tires I wanted, aligned the car perfectly, and treated me like “someone” instead of “somebody”.There’s no other place in the Upstate I will take our vehicles when we need tires and excellent service.

I recommend getting you vehicle serviced here. They are always friendly and I believe them to be honest. They will show you what needs to be done before doing the work and if the work is not necessary they will tell you. I had a dealership tell me I had serious safety issues and needed to have the repairs done right away. I did not allow them to do the work (I do know some things about cars) and decided to go to S & S Auto. They could have easily told me that I needed to make these repairs, (I told them the list of things the dealership told me needed to be done) instead they took me to my car, as it was being looked at, and showed me that these repairs were not necessary. The only thing I needed was a new battery, which I knew I needed. I like the fact that they did not take advantage of me. Thank you S & S Tire and Automotive.

These guys treat you like family & they operate their business with the upmost professionalism. I trust them. Their work and attention to detail is impeccable. One of the other things I greatly appreciate from them is that they will not try to push a product on you that you dont need and you can always trust that your car is in the best hands. Basically I’m more concerned with price. I talked with one owner and said they were fixing to pull truck in at 3. I then got a call before 4pm saying it was done. Total price was over 150 to just put wires and plugs on and I bought supplies. So that’s 150 in labor for less than a hour. Then I had a coil put on 83 in parts and final bill was 314 were and labor was 60 dollars for that hour. Total labor was 210. Just can’t figure out why there’s two different labor cost. Anyhow I’m content with work they did, but extremely disappointed in billing. I believe it’s time to find a more honest mechanic

I had been in about 3 weeks earlier to have my check engine light tested and they found that I had replaced a passenger side mirror that didn’t have the ambient temperature sensor in it. That’s what was causing the engine light come on. I installed the temperature sensor and took it back to the to get rid of the light and they charged me the full amount of the original diagnostic! All they had to do is clear it! I call that poor customer service/ relations.

Beyond pleased with the work done by Ricky and his guys! Had spent money elsewhere close by on brakes, TWICE! only to have trouble again within 2 days! Now my brakes, bulbs, tires and front end are done CORRECTLY!! Earned my business from now on! Great techs work here and everyone wants you to be pleased with work done!

I had my radiator housing done and it took a couple of hours but they got the job done nice polite and the recliners was on point I work graveyard and went right into their establishment when I walked out I was very much satisfied Id like to share my experience at S&S Tire&Automotive.

They told me before I could get alignment, I would need $568 worth of bearings and other things. I said no, went to another place where they Said I didnt need any of the things he said I needed. Im $568 better off by not listening to S & S!

When shopping for automotive services, I always look for long-term established, family owned (or at least locally owned/managed) businesses.S&S Tire and Automotive fits that description.I believe they told me when I asked that they were 30 years (my mistake if this is not exactly correct).What small business survived that long providing poor service and pricing ?Need tires, or repair ? . . . Stop by, or call . . . Ive been more than just satisfied all three times Ive bought tires for my Honda and Toyota Tacoma.Better pricing and service than the big box stores !!

Very helpful! I assisted a pregnant young lady on the way to the doctor with labor pains with a flat tire. Her spare was flat. Luckily S&S didnt close until later than others. S&S got us in and out with a new tire in no time at all. Thanks S&S! Great job to all!

I was recommended to S&S Tire & Automotive by my local mechanic for them to do a front end alignment on my C3500 dually. They provided good service at a reasonable price that fit my needs. Based on this and my mechanics recommendation, I would also recommend them.

Ive been a customer of S&S Tires for a few years and always go to them for any maintenance needs or tire needs. They are reasonably priced and do great work. They communicate any issues that may arise and go above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied with the completed work. I recommend them to anyone that may be looking for a someone to maintain their car or tires.

They did a great job diagnosing the problems with my car and instead of feeling like I had to go and come back and go and come back several times they pretty much took care of everything I asked them to investigate and fix... I had to replace my suspension in the front, but they also let me know of a potential issue with my rear suspension. I never felt like theyre trying to push me into doing more work than I can afford at the moment.they were comparably priced as far as automotive services, they were Swift with repairs and had it done when they estimated, and they wash my car when they were done fixing on it which to me was just a added perk!

Ive been pleased with S&S Tire since moving to Greer. Ive always experienced great customer service, helpful education, and affordable prices. My Mazda has needed routine care (tires, rotations, oil changes) as well as transmission issues (needed a new TCM) and S&S has done a great job with it all. 10/10 would recommend!

Went in for a alignment after changing out some parts on my truck and to have 4 tires put on. Had appointment at 12pm and they were working on my truck soon as I gave them the key. Great prices everywhere else wanted $20 to $30 buck just to put a tire on and they did for $15 per. And $70 for the alignment. I drive relatively new vehicles so any problems are usually covered by the factory warranty but any non dealer services I have needed this is the only place to go. Over the years I have had project and older vehicles for hobby and S&S has always done all of my needed services. They always complete the service or repair quickly and for a more than fair price, and, never had to return for an incomplete or repeat repair. Great job guys!

I had an appointment for an alignment next to the last week in August. My appointment was for 9 AM and I had to wait with the car also this was during my work schedule so I was missing time at work. My car wasnt taken back until after 10:15 AM, two more customers came in off the street with a flat tire etc. as I continued to wait they came and left. After another hour or so they came out and told me that they had 3 wheels aligned but the front drivers wheel was stuck and that the tie rod ends would have to be replaced before the alignment could be completed. They charged me 35$ for the incomplete job which I learned later the whole alignment would have to be redone. I ask for them to quote the needed repairs to finish the job. I need to look back at the written estimate, which I do have. The total was either 338$ or 383$ in addition to the 35$ already charged and over 100$ which was parts. I immediately looked online at the OEM parts which I could buy directly from Volvo much much cheaper (more than half). The guy told me he wont install parts ordered by anyone other than themselves. Things didnt quite make sense and I decided to take my car to Clayton Tire in Boiling Springs SC at the recommendation of a friend. Upon leaving my car at Claytons tire and alignment I additionally asked that the AC be serviced and charged. Long story short Clayton charged 120$ for the entire bill which was almost 1/3 to 1/4 of the total charges and quote just to fix the alignment by S and S even with the additional AC service.Do yourself a favor and do your homework, unless you want to likely pay 3-4 times what it should really cost. I know generally about car repairs and maintenance and decided to go with my gut feeling. Im so glad I did. Some of these negative reviews are likely offset by friends and family helping the rating. Look closely here at the negative review and take them into consideration. My 2 cents!!

My 2003 Acura needed to have the battery replaced. Honda/Acuras use nonstandard batteries that are difficult to get (except at the dealer of course). For one, the + and - terminals are reversed.Ricky had three batteries delivered and none of them were correct. He got in my car, drove to the distributor, opened the hood and pointed to the battery that needed replacing.Took the correct battery back to the shop and installed it.Happy customer!
