D&h equipment offers top notch service by an expert staff. They serviced my riding lawn mower with great care. I highly recommend them.

Took my Cub Cadet in for service because they were authorized service provider. After 2 months and no call back about status I stopped in. They said, oh yeah its got low compression so we recommend replacing. Then said I had to pre pay $90 for them to file a warranty claim. The owner was very rude. The only reason for 2 stars is the girls at the counter were very nice. Im sorry they have to work for such a jerk.

I would not suggest this place of business to anyone. We took our lawnmower to this place the beginning of June and it was running but would cut off. We were told it would take 3 weeks also with a down payment of $35.00, After 3 weeks we would call to check on lawnmower and the response would be not ready. By the end of July we were told after calling that it was ready. We went to pick up lawnmower thinking it was ready, after paying over $400.00 and the lawnmower would not run!!We were told water may have gotten into the gas tank. After waiting for about 45 minutes we were told that the lawnmower may need a carburator. Of course the price was quoted at $190. We were very upset and decided ok we will deal with that. After leaving the lawnmower again for another week, we checked and was told the lawnmower is old and may need an engine. We refused to pay anymore money and after paying over $400 for getting a lawnmower that still dont work , I feel we are handling this very well. It was not to after the fact that I looked at previous reviews to find out we were not alone. Our regret is we should have read reviews about this business first. Lesson learned!!! Oh and the 1 star is for the receptionist who is professional.

Brought mower in and after two weeks of not hearing from them, I called to check on it. I was told they might be able to look at it by the end of the 3rd week. I went and picked it up and got my $35 service charge refunded.

It was all good after that aggravating customer left.

This business does not follow timelines. Will not call to let you know what is going on with your equipment repair. Their excuses for not having your equipment ready as promised are like a merry go round. Full circle and then start repeating themselves. They kept my mower over six months. They do sell quality named equipment in the store, but it’s a shame their business ethics are dragging down name brands. Its doubtful they be relied upon to stand behind the products they sell.

Said the repair would take 2 weeks, ended up taking over a month, and still wasn’t complete. Never received a courtesy call, I had to call after 3 weeks just to see what was going on. Changed quoted price numerous times. Ended up still paying more than quoted price. PLUS wanted to charge more for more supposed issues, however the extra parts that needed to be replaced, just weren’t connected. Missing bolts, hoses, wires, and brackets not put back. They did half way fix the initial problem, which is the only reason they get one star. They completely tried to take advantage of us, and run up the price. I am completely disgusted with this company. I do not recommend this company for any reason.

My neighbor got work done on their lawn mower. It cost them close to $500. It was still not fixed. They informed my neighbor that they were unable to get the engine running after they replaced the cam shaft. The company said In order to get it running they needed the fuel solenoid and carburetor replaced as well which was going to be close to a $200 additional expenditure.Ultimately, my neighbors declined the additional cost and decided to bring their mower home. They took what was told to them at face value; they believed what the company had told them. My husband went over to my neighbor’s house to look at the work that was done on the cam shaft. After further inspection he found that the fuel solenoid wire and the throttle cable was left unattached. Once he attached the wire and cable the mower started. Thankfully, my husband was able to save my neighbors $200 of unnecessary additional costs!Be careful with this business, seems crooked to me!

I have been here a number of times for a number of different reasons and they always had knowledgeable staff and the parts I was looking for. Although I did sense some grumpiness there. Didnt feel like an inviting Place. Although they did obey all rules of professionalism with no problems at all. Its just how I usually feel when I go in there

As a small business owner in Eastern NC I love working with other small businesses. These guys have been around for a long time and have always gone above and beyond to help me. This recent time I needed a repair on my mower they made it so easy by picking it up and delivering it for me! Go see these guys yall! Thanks for all you guys do!

They Are the most unprofessional Company I ever dealt with. Every time you call they say it will be ready in two days. The guy called back and said to just pick up your damn mower we don’t need your business. They are a ripoff and have the most rude people working for them. I am in the landscaping business and have never treated my customers with the disrespect that I have received from this company.

Slow turn around, poor communication, inconsistent hours

I have know Phil the owner for over 20 years and he has always treated me fairly and he has a great service department. I first started to do business with Phil when he was the manager of a Goodyear store in Greenville, NC. I highly recommend his company if you need any type of lawnmowers and chainsaws or string trimmers.

The people are nice but they do things to your lawnmower which it does not need and then you have to call them to find out if and when it is ready. Also they dont tell you until you get there that there is a 36.00 deposit when you drop off your lawn mower for repair...To Be Continued...I received a call from the owner on the next business day, which I found very impressive. I went to pick up my lawn mower and the owner had the repairman test my lawn mower before I took it home. It worked perfectly. I came home to cut my rather large yard and I had no problem with it. I appreciate the fact that the owner called me himself and wanted to make sure I was satisfied. I love good customer service!!

I needed the oil changed and a new blade installed on my push lawnmower and both were done in a timely and excellent manner. I highly recommend their service dept.

Had a craftsman weed wacker brought in for service. It had difficulty starting and running. Paid my $80 for the repair. After the repair took it home couldnt get it to start. Spoke to a nice woman who told me to bring it right back in. A big guy pulled it about 10 times and got it to start. He looked at me like I was crazy. The lady said maybe its bad gas. Took it home changed the gas pulled it about 40-50 times could not get it to start. I guess its repaired if they can get it to run. Terrible service. By the way Im going electric with my next unit.

Greeting all, you can look at my rater views and see that Im a legit poster, I would not recommend using these folks; my mower has been in their shop three times, ive paid over 300.00 in service fees and still do not have a working mower. (Its been delivered and all 3 times claimed it worked before it left the shopI recently came from Iraq (2 days home) got on my mower and it doesnt start. They will not get any more of my business or my money and i will tell everyone to stear clear and find other services.

Very horrible experience too much horrible detail to explain the owner Phil a real piece of work very disrespectful charged me $300 to put a bearing on in my mower was still not fixed and he will not take responsibility for anything its always the customers fault never their employees never him no matter what the issue is even other customers. How many negative reviews does it take for them to get their act together even one of the employees told me that Phil thinks hes God

After replacing the spark plug, air filter and cleaning the carb on my edger myself. It still would not start so I took it in to have it repaired. I paid the $35 to have it checked and thought I would get a call about the cost to have it repaired. 3 days later I got a call that it was ready. I was told the bill was about $140 less the $35. They repaired the carburetor. However they also replaced the belt and the blade. Neither of which I requested. I already had a belt and blade that I was planning to replace myself.

Price was reasonable. But they wanted to do unnessary work, oil change, air filter...which wasnt part of the problem. Im not too happy with them smoking in the place. Smells horrible, like a giant ashtray. Unprofessional.

I usually go for parts amd they usually have parts in stock. Reasonably price parts, great service.
