Linuxjobber DevOps work experience program is a great and fantastic idea that brings you closer to understanding the day-to-day life of a DevOps professional. Its an extension to your traditional IT training but takes it one step further giving you that hands on experience and an opportunity to learn deeper and troubleshoot task. Things you dont have opportunity to do in your traditional training. The team is very patient and quick to respond. The program is broken down into modules which helps explore different tools covered by each module at a time giving you enough opportunity to explore documentations for the time period the task is due.Coming into the program, my exceptions were to be exposed to the tools used in most environments, have an opportunity to work on a project like I will potentially do in an actual workplace. Where I will be able to build CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot common issues, build and deploy applications. In a nutshell be in the life of a DevOps engineering during the program so I am able to carry out conversations and complete tasks with minimal assistance.My exceptions have been met about 70%, as I feel that the program can be a little more rigorous so the trainee would have a chance to explore some of the tools deeper. So far most of the task does not drive the trainee to do a deep dive into the tools. About 30-40% of the tasks are the basics you cover in your traditional training programs. I have never worked as a DevOps engineer so I might be over thinking. Overall, I will recommend the program and I believe it’s helpful.

I completed my Linux training since 2013 and I started looking for work since then. I almost gave up because nothing was working out. It wasnt until I joined this work experience program in 2019 that I realized all the things I didnt know how to do.When I started doing the tasks, I could see all the knowledge areas I was missing. No joke, this program is not for Lazy people. All the lazy people in my cohort ran away within the first 2 weeks. They couldnt cope. As stated on their website, the program is for people who have finished technical training already. This program is like being on the job, no spoon-feeding. I have worked with Linuxjabber twice involving two separate companies. Both times had the exact same experience. Fantastic people to work with, a system that is easy to implement, and delivers incredible results.

I was stuck searching for job for years. After this program, I had to give up a percentage of my income when I got a job because that is the agreement I signed but I am satisfied because they helped me scale the hurdle of not having real-life work experience which was a huge barrier for me. In the end, I am happy because I have six figure income now.

The company refused to render their services as promised. We both agreed on a job placement and work experience program which the company never provided as agreed. Having paid $399 for the program as requested, I realized that the company hired college students in Nigeria to pose as trainers or Job coaches in the U.S meanwhile, they have zero real-life work experience in the Information Technology field and neither do they understand the U.S Job Market as well as the Information Technology industry in this part of the world. These trainers or job-coaches has repeatedly told me that they are not 100% effective at providing some of the services the company had promised me and they are constantly unable to answer numerous technical job related questions. The owner of the business “Joseph Showunmi” is a Nigerian, who has mastered the art of cajoling candidates and giving them false promises of setting them up to get Jobs.At some point during the program, Joseph told me that he has removed my name from the job placement program but kept me in the work experience program as he accused me of disturbing and questioning his contribution towards me securing a DevOps Engineer role.The entire program is set-up for candidates to train themselves and the company’s quack trainers or job coaches assigns mediocre and non-realistic task for candidate to do.Eventually, he pulled me out of both programs (Work Experience Program and Job Placement Program) by force and demanded I give him my pay-checks monthly to verify my income in case I get a Job.

At the end of the program, they wanted our company to do their interviews for them. We told them we dont provide impersonation service. Then both of them turned into our enemies and started posting bad reviews about us.
