Ive gone to Phils for several years for everything from routine oil changes to more complex issues. They take the time to address your concerns and explain problems thoroughly, and are honest in what needs an immediate fix versus what can wait. On top of excellent customer service, their prices are usually considerably lower than dealerships and chain franchises, and every repair is generously warrantied. Their online system for work orders and status updates is just an added bonus. I cant recommend this place enough!

I have been using Phil’s for several years now and they have worked on three different vehicles of mine. I have never had a single issue. In fact, I tend to learn something new on each visit. I’m not a “Car Person” so they are able to pass on the necessary information at a level where I can understand it. Phils replaced the hybrid battery in my 2007 Prius approximately two and a half years ago. Without going into details, the replacement took a lot more time and effort than it should have (through no fault of Phils Pro Auto,in my opinion.) Not only did they provide me with a loaner car throughout the process, they never changed me a dime extra for any of it, even though I offered to make it right. Since the replacement Ive been back twice under warranty, again at no extra cost. Im not totally sure why the new battery keeps failing but I dont think it has anything to do with Phils. Ultimately I recommend Phils Pro Auto and plan on using them again.

Called up on a Thursday, they got my vehicle in that day and called me that afternoon to let me know the problem and that they’d get the parts that afternoon. Got a call back the next morning that it was fixed! I usually do the work myself, but was out of time. They got it done and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg!

Had regular maintenance done and let the mechanic know of a couple minor issues. The technician contacted me via an app that allows him to discuss his diagnosis. We texted as he worked and he shared pictures of the drive belts and other engine parts we were discussing. Very helpful and effecient.

Rather than having to pay for a transmission and a transfer case. Mike and Phil’s Auto technicians were honest and Checked out all possibilities with my trucks issues. They kept me in the loop and gave me options so I could get back into my truck quickly and with a bill half of what it would have been at most auto repair shops. Definitely would recommend them to anyone who needs an honest shop.

First of all I want say I had never done business with Phils prior to this service. Mike went above and beyond in helping me. I called on Monday morning needing assistance since my car would not start. After asking me some questions, Mike told me they were booked up for the day but could probably work me in if I just needed a battery. He gave me the name of a roadside service company that came to my house promptly and jump-started my car. I called Phils PRO back and Mike told me to come in and they would check for the problem. I left my car there and they gave me a ride home. They called me to get approval to do the work needed...battery and other maintenance and let me know they couldnt finish the work until the next day. The next morning they picked me up to go get my car. The service was superb and the pricing was reasonable. I will definitely go back to them and let others know what great service they provide.

Very upfront and honest about all the repairs! They did not try to over sell or push other services. I got a transmission flush and cooling system flush done and also had them look at a couple other things that another shop had told me I needed to replace. They took a look at them and said they were in fine shape and no replacements/repairs were necessary. Loved the honesty!! I will definitely be going back here for all other car repairs/maintenance in the future!

Just Purchased a 2002 grand Cherokee a week later would not start. My mom had previously taken her car in for an alternator and she was pleased with their service so I decided to give them a call as well.I had it towed in Tuesday afternoon They informed me of all the necessary repairs Wednesday morning and had it fixed by Wednesday afternoon. They did a great job everything is warrantied. Very professional and knowledgeable staffIn addition they gave me a list of other things that could be fixed or worked on in the future upon my request. They did break down a time line as to how many miles I should go prior to making the repairs.It was affordable as well

All reviews I read lead to Phils Pro Auto Service. I gave them a call to check availability and Phil answered the phone. I liked that, and Phil put me at ease that they would be able to help me get my sons Jeep repaired. That same afternoon I got a text msg. from Jonathan the service advisor with a web link that showed me a photo of the issue, what they did to fix it, and a list of some things that should be taken care of soon. I opted to have them change the oil and fix some burned out lights. This type of service was totally unexpected and honestly Ive never had any service like it. Amazing really. Provided an inspection report for the the vehicle we dropped off that was full of useful information and formatted in a way that helped decide what work we would have done. I have had about three visits to Phil’s in the past year for various repair issues. I can’t say enough about the weight that feels lifted off my shoulders, finding a mechanic that doesn’t lie, cheat and take advantage of me is nothing short of a miracle. Since I have a better chance of understanding Swahili than “car language,” I will continue to use Phil’s for anything to do with my car that I have now and any future car I may buy.

Phil’s Pro Auto Service recently swapped a long block in my ‘97 Jeep. They were professional, prompt at returning phone calls, and did an excellent job at a fair price. I purchased a 2008 Honda Pilot from a dealer (wont name the dealer because they are not part of my complaint) and I received a full Carfax report. A month after purchase the vehicle was due for an oil change and I took it to my local Honda dealer for the service. The dealer informed me that whomever performed the previous oil change massively over torqued the drain plug bolt and completely stripped the threads off of the aluminum oil pan so the drain plug could no longer be put back on the pan. The suggested repair was to replace the oil pan and after considering my options (towing the oil-less vehicle home and repairing it myself or allowing the dealer to complete the repair for $590) I decided to just allow the dealer to repair it.Afterwards, I pulled out the Carfax and called the mechanic who reported the last oil change 4 months and 4000 miles before I purchased the vehicle. To make a long story short, I spoke with John and they made the following claims:1) They dont know who could have touched the vehicle since the last oil change. Which is absolutely true, despite that the vehicle was not due for an oil change between the last time they reported to Carfax that they did an oil change and the time that I purchased the vehicle.2) They told me that the oil and filter change that Carfax reported on May 19th, 4 months and 4,000 miles before I purchased the vehicle was false. He said his system shows a declined oil change and that the customer decided to change the oil himself.3) He told me that the husband of the woman who owned the vehicle often decided to change the oil himself. That seems odd to me considering that the Carfax reported oil changes roughly every 5,000 miles for more than 5 years. Im not sure how private parties would report an oil change posing as Phils pro Auto Service.The vehicle is in great shape and was maintained by Phils for a few years. The question here is, did Phils auto lie to avoid responsibility, or is Carfax making up service records that didnt happen? Carfax does not report anything about a vehicle that is not reported to them. However, are we expected to believe that they do report services that are not reported to them? Is Phils Pro Auto reporting services to Carfax that they did not actually perform?Would I trust my vehicle at Phils Auto? Probably not. Would you? And if so, would you expect Phils Auto to stand by the work they perform?I did not ask for any compensation, I sympathize with this company in that I did not actually take the vehicle there for services nor do I have an actual service record. That being said, negligence is not really acceptable in my opinion regardless of whos name is on the title of the vehicle at the time of service. I feel that I was lied to before even asking for some sort of resolution. This review is not to disparage any company, but to serve as a warning and to inform others of my experience.Edit: 8 minutes after posting this review I was contacted by John who said they actually did have a record of an oil change. He said that he would need proof that:1) The dealer I purchased the vehicle from did not perform an oil change.2) The name brand of the oil filter that was taken off of the vehicle because Phils Pro Auto Uses a specific oil filter brand.I messaged the dealer, the owner responded that they did not perform any service on the vehicle. (dealers dont spend money they dont have to)I also spoke with the service desk at the Honda dealer who informed me that the technician didnt recall specifically what brand of filter came off the vehicle but that it was completely black. He said the only all black filters are from the brand WIX. Shockingly, WIX is the brand of filter that Phils Pro Auto uses exclusively according to John.Unsurprisingly, I was told that Phils Pro Auto does not provide any warranty to customers who dont own the vehicle that was serviced but that I could speak with Phil at a later time. I expect no real resolution but I do look forward to speaking with Phil when he is able to do so.

I found this shop based on the reviews of others. Nice family owned and run business. They employ the most modern business processes to minimize the time that your car is down. They give you rides to and from. Plus they have great cookies. Timing belt on my Subaru done in half a day.

Our windshield washer was not working on the car and my brother being a loyal Phils Auto customer asked Mike if they could fit us in the next day. He said they were booked solid but that they would squeeze us in. Turned out we didnt need a new washer unit just the washers on the connecting hoses replaced and we had the car back at the end of the day. We are taking our car back in for some other items that need attending and I have no doubts that Mike will be fair, and honest in his dealings with us. Great customer service! John was awesome too!

Well I’m happy to say this will be my new go 2 mechanic. They are very friendly but what I appreciate most was the honest work. They even left a note and cookies in the car.

Our check engine light came on and we got the codes read. The warranty we had through Carmax referred us here as a preferred mechanic. Mike and John were excellent through the process. We ended up needing an engine replacement. They kept us in the loop every step of the way and never seemed frustrated with us. Any question we had, they were quick with an answer. They worked everything out with the warranty company and we are back in business with our vehicle. I would highly recommend them. Excellent service!

Fixed things that werent broken and didnt solve the problems I took the car in for. I was glad to find this shop- I was new to town, family member seriously ill, I needed to go out of town for work and I had a sudden car problem. These guys were great on the front end making me feel like a welcomed and valued customer and I had no further worries- just leave it all up to them. Then they proceeded with a virtual barrage of questionable auto shop tactics including:- they recommended installing an expensive kit to keep my serpentine belt from squeaking which I did. I later talked with former owner of my car and it turns out the kit was already recently installed and doing it again meant I completely wasted about $500.- their repair did not solve the problem- the squeak soon started up again. Turns out the squeak was caused by a oil leak dripping on the belt. This shop completely missed that this was the reason though they did note the leak and quoted $2000 to fix the leak. Another shop solved in 10 minutes by tightening some loose bolts.- they were supposed to fix a leak in the valve in the air conditioning line. Their fix was to screw the cap on excessively tight rather than replace the little valve that was leaking which I understand to be an inexpensive and quick repair. Found this out a couple months later during a 1000 mile road trip in 90 degree temperatures when air conditioning quit again.- car left the shop with 2 additional problems it didnt have when it went in. In all fairness cannot specifically blame the shop but does seem strange that a power window that worked fine suddenly stopped working and a previously quiet air conditioning blower was suddenly making rattling noises when I picked up the car.
