Highly recommended! I was on a road trip and started hearing some grinding while braking, which is the last thing you want when youre far from home and have an itinerary. We were traveling from Kansas to Alberta, Canada when our front brakes began to grind. I knew what was happening, but with the Covid restrictions and a 72 to hour window to get a negative test and show it to the officials at the border I was hoping to make it to our destination in Alberta before having to fix it. By time we got to Great Falls it was evident we could not go on. I read another review that stated how Midas techs worked them in on an emergency basis. So I contacted them and Mark kindly heard our story and worked us in quickly and we were able to make the border in the 72 hour window. I took a vehicle in there for simple dual exhaust. First time receiving it back at hitting three different spots the u-joint, the differential, and the axle housing.so I took it back for a second time they fixed two out of the three but did not fix the axle housing. At this time I told him its not a big deal things happen its how you handle it. The third time it went in and sat there for 2 days I was promised Id have it latest Friday morning. I went in at 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Mark told me he didnt know if he would be able to get to it or not that day. I told Mark that I was very frustrated with the situation that it was promised to me Friday and I have a family trip planned with the vehicle leaving that night. he said he wouldnt know if he could get to it or not so I asked for the keys at that point things got nasty. Mark dropped f-bomb so I replied with my own f-bombs and told me we could take it outside. Which he did not come outside. so here I am sitting with a vehicle that I am cutting the exhaust off so we can use it this weekend I am so disappointed and out $250 which I have nothing to show for it besides scrap price. so whoever reads this please do not take your vehicle to Midas, Mark will make empty promises to you and take your money.

Fair priced fast and honest service. Went in with an initial evaluation of needing upper lower coolant hose, water pump and timing chain cover assessed repair cost of 1200. Ended up after cleaning up the mess there was no leak at the timing chain cover so they didnt have to replace it. All said and done, less than 600 to get my cummins running like new again in less than 4 hours.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The service was fast. Had an exhaust problem and they had me fixed and on the road in an hour.

MiDAS Great Falls is AWESOME!! Mark and the crew took in my 2002 Ford Ranger, fixed a few gaskets and after an issue afterwards made my truck run fantastic! I never put a bad review but I have one today .I took my car to Midas to get the breaks fixed and after 5 days of having it they said they cant get the master cylinder to work. after market so they gave it back to me worse than when I took it in. Not safe at all to drive . Told me they called Bison and that Bison told them that there was a national shortage on Master cylinders. I called Bison and they will have one by Friday but they need to check to see if that is the problem. Midas seemed very nervous when. I picked it up . Im pretty mad .Oh; and my car smells like cigarettes 😡 the car has no brakes now. This is the most unsafe business Ive ever seen.

Had an exhaust issue. Brought it in, was quoted a price and told the price included the whole exhaust system, from engine- tail pipe coming out rear of the car. was also told there would be some random service fee which Mark said he wasnt sure how much??? he said could be 10-30 something dollars. so when it came time to pay obviously it was the 30+ random service fee and he only replaced the top half of the exhaust. Im not a car guy but Im not a fool either. He got me on this one. Good job Mark, Ill never bring my vehicle to you again. This is your stereotypical Auto Garage that is going to burn you, charge you max rate if they can, sleazy type employee. Definitely not honest work. Go some place else. Good Luck

Im very familiar with glossary of machine shop terms and I know exactly whats wrong with my Jeep, the power steering tube is leaking and it needs to be replaced. I decided to call and ask for price, they still require me to bring in my Jeep for free inspection which I already knew what the issue was. Cant even ask to simply questions. Poor customer service with rude response. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!EDIT- No way you can help me from that website, thus Im not gonna fall for it. Nice try. *THUMBS DOWN*

Ive used 4 times/2 vehicles - ALWAYS pleased with work. Recently had oil change, tire rotation, & aksed for a once over for 2005 Honda CRV prior to a 3K mile trip MT to FL. Needed to replace serpintine belt & CV axle ~ said everything else was good - After few days I noticed a leak @ axle seal & my trip was next day! They took a look ~ saw leak & explained sometimes seal doesnt reseat properly from old axle. Asked me to bring it in early next day ~ I did & 1 hr later was fixed (no charge). I made the 3K trip & @ overnight stops checked for leaks ~ NO LEAKS & no mechinical problems ~ THANK YOU GUYS!

Last night our car had to be towed to Midas after hours, and first thing in the morning they started working on our car. They were backed up all the way until Monday, but they knew us and knew we needed our car because of our kiddos, and they took the time out of their already busy morning to fix our car. We are out and driving and couldn’t be more thankful.

I was on a trip through Montana and my brakes went out. Mark and the crew got me back on the road quickly and at a lower price than I expected.Everyone was SUPER friendly and it felt like they actually care about their customers.I go to chain shops when Im traveling because if something happens, I can find another Midas, but the downside is that they usually dont have the most experienced mechanics, but that was not the case here. The guy who did the work at this Midas was a pro.

I requested a quote almost 2 weeks ago and I have not heard back from them.

Happy I asked him not to leave my keys in the vehicle to hang on to them and I get them in the morning because I have a spare they left my doors unlocked with my keys sitting in plain view on on the driver seat

This Midas would not honor the advertisement in the Midas website for a sale on an oil change. Instead they wanted to charge more thsn twice as much. Plus this Midas said that we had not made an appointment even though I had proof of my appointment on my cell phone.

Mike and his crew are amazing! We were traveling and had a weird sound coming from the bottom of our car. He got us in right away and solved the problem. I was so relieved and excited we could continue our journey. Their kindness and patience is incredible. I would highly recommend this business.

I am new in town and this is the first mechanic I went to. I AM GLAD. This is where Ill be going every time from now on! They inspected my car and provided me with a detailed description of the problem and estimate cost to fix it and where I should get the parts. I seriously feel bad now that I didnt give them a good tip. Super friendly people and very fast service. Id recommend this place to anyone I know!

There was a small mistake made when I had an oil change at this shop. There was no lasting damage done to my truck as a result. I spoke with Mark and he and his shop were willing to work with me to make the situation right. I respect the fact that they stood by their work.

Wanted to charge me $2500 for a replacement part.. went and got a second opinion from the GM dealer. The part Midas told me I needed is fine... it’s much less of a problem than what Midas told me. It’s going to cost me $1000 at the dealer. Either they don’t know what they’re doing over at Midas or they tried to pull a fast one and make some extra money..Don’t go

Always great service. Mark is the best. Tire rotation, oil change, and a couple little minor things- in and out in less than an hour. We switched to Midas after being let down horribly by the last place and couldnt be happier. Thanks for always giving 110% guys!

Stop there today and asked for new front brakes. Was told they couldnt get me in till the am, but I let them know I lived out of town and could not stay till then. They then began to shuffle things around and fit me in to their busy schedule, even though short staffed. They were very kind and helpful. Also a very reasonable price. Also fast and great work. I first went to this Midas 26 years ago when I was visiting my mom. Since then they have been the only auto repair shop my mom use. Mom passed last fall so I asked Midas to prep moms van for my drive home. They did all that I asked and for a fair price.

My water pump went out and they were able to squeeze me in later that day. All other places were booked for at least a week. The price was a little higher than other places, bit they got me in that day. I did ding 1 star because the mechanic forgot to wait for the car to warm up and then top off the fluid. The low coolant light came on 5 miles down the road. I had some in the trunk and was able to solve that myself.

These guys, Barry specifically, provided 5 star service. Can’t say enough. We were coming from glacier national Park and needed to get our air-conditioning fixed before heading back to Minnesota. Made an appointment the day before. After dropping off our van at mitis, one of the employees, Barry, drove me to the waterpark where my wife and kids were playing while we waited for the repair. He then picked me up when they had finished the repair. It was so hassle free; amazing service. We are home now and our return trip was so much more enjoyable thanks to these guys!

Great place. The gentleman who did my brakes was kind and knowledgeable and when I called explaining an issue to him, he encouraged me to come right down so he could take a quick look. They are very friendly. I would go here again.

Every time I call they seem more interested in getting me off the phone then anyting. And theres always some form of wait. Even with an empty parking lot. on top of that I had to get two additional phone calls to let me know the cost of my oil change had increased twice. I understand the industry but I dont understand being rude to your customers.

We have been going to Midas for about 3 years now, and they have always done great work for us. Their prices are on a par with other services in town, they are always ready to check for a problem and fix problems as needed. The first time we went to them, there was a noise while driving the car. They drove the car and used a microphone to diagnose that a wheel bearing was going out, ordered the new part and fixed it. The noise hasnt come back. We now go there for all of our maintenance needs. The staff is courteous, and friendly. The job is done quickly and thoroughly. We are very happy with the service at midas

We had several repairs done with Midas. Each repair has had to be redone not even a full year later. When I finally thought to have a second diagnostic done at another well known repair shop. They actually showed me a diagnostic and the repairs Midas had told I needed were not even on the diagnostic from the other repair shop. I asked Midas to produce a diagnostic that had the repairs needed and they said they do not have to keep record of that. I did some research and by law all repair shops should be able to produce a diagnostic log. WARNING THEY ARE NOT VERY HONEST WITH REPAIRS. I will not be taking any of my cars back and I have been using them for over 10 years and have always gotten suggested repairs done. Now I wonder how much I have wasted over the years.

Be prepared for guessing and checking which can be extremely costly. Luckily I went to college for Diesel tech and knew enough to stop this before it got out of hand. Quote was $1800 to replace several things, most of which were replaced in the last year. I refused and had to pay the $70 diagnosis. Looked it over myself (w/o tools as I didnt live in Great Falls) noticed an injector wire loose, connected it and off I went good as new. Asked manager to give back my $70 as obviously there diagnosis was entirely not accurate, was told to get lost. Approach with caution......

This place is probably the best place in town. I have been going there since 2001 and would not even consider going anywhere else unless I could do it myself. Mark treats me very well and is VERY honest. If he quotes me a price I can tell you it is an honest estimate and there is nothing hidden or shady about it. My shifter just broke and Bison told him it was a $1200 fix. Well he did a little research and got it done for $320. I wont go anywhere else!

Locked up early and left my car inside. My daughter and I were left outside with no hotel or transportation at that point. I am paralyzed from the chest down and in a wheelchair and they certainly knew that when they locked up the car for the weekend. I was from out of state and basically screwed at this point. I had used them the year before for struts and now the struts need replacing again. Only 6000 miles. I really wonder if the struts were even replaced. Reviewing my bill they were suggesting I get a complete brake bleed when that had also been done the year before (6000 miles). I think they figured they would never see me again and may not have done any of the work in the first place. Never again.

Always get wonderful service and any/all my questions answered. Reasonable prices too.

I will admit upfront that Ive been in customer service for years, but that I also dont know everything I should about cars. The technicians did an excellent job with my oil change and inspections as far as I can tell. They were fast too, and the price isnt that bad.But, and I say this with as much empathy as I can, I came two days in a row, talked to the same guy, and I dont believe he really recognised me. I have a face people recognise, so it was especially troubling. I mention this mostly because it cost me a few bucks (which is my own fault, honestly, I wont go into it), but also because it just seems like the sort of thing that shouldnt be too much to expect.Other than that, the waiting area was a bit sparse, and didnt feel too comfortable. Not that I expect much, but it just felt like it was designed to be uncomfortable.

Went in to get oil change and have them diagnose the cause of some clunking noises and the check engine light. Its took two hours and and they told me the noise was probably bad wheel bearings and they didnt check to see what the check engine light meant. Went back to get the bearings checked and asked them to call me when they knew for sure what was causing the noise. They went ahead and replaced the bearings and sway bar without my approval and didnt check the engine light again. 530$ later the noise is still there and I dont know what the engine light is indicating. I got had.

Mark over at Midas was super helpful and he was just a pleasure to do business with my gf is headed out of town this weekend so I wanted the car looked at and yep a couple minor things thanks Mark my mind is at ease

I normally do not write reviews, but I hope to save someone the trouble I went through. AFTER getting my car back from Mida, the car was still having troubles. I went back to them and said it was not fixed, and for the price we paid, I thought we should get at least good customer service. The manager was very confrontational and made me feel insecure. He gave his paying customer attitude, and did not want to hear the issue.

Terrible service. Put 2 new tires on. Couple weeks later heard a noise in right front of car. Took back to have them look at it. They said it was rear passenger wheel bearing. Had fixed. The noise not only wasnt fixed it was worse. Took back. Said it needed driver rear because it was over compensating. Had fixed. Made it worse. Took back. Told it was transmission and they cant fix it. Took car to transmission shop and was told that because of the mis matched tires that Midas put on the ptu went out. Transmission shop said ANY reputable tire shop would of know not to put mis matched tires on an awd vehicle. I will never do business there again.

Have been bringing my vehicles there for over 10 years. Toyotas, honda, nissan and chevrolet. Mark always does a great job of servicing and repairing my vehicles without the hidden uncharges that other places seem to make their bread and butter. If major repair is required Mark is honest about the cost and stands by his shops work.

Took my car in for an oil change because I had to go out of town. I went out of town, but ended up having to put three quarts of oil in it the same day. By the time I got back to town they were closed. I work early mornings and only have this one vehicle. Now I have no way to get to work or get my kids were they need to go. I will never go back or recommend anyone to go there.
