Price was very competitive with others, however they outperformed the competition with both higher quality of materials and thorough and professional communication. We have our new roof and I couldnt be happier. Hard workers and excellent clean up. We appreciate the repairs they made while installing our new roof. Couldnt be happier and highly recommended!

We hired MEC to replace a large section of roof at a shopping center in downtown Grass Valley. They were professional, responsive and skilled from start to finish. MEC was fantastic! From the beginning and throughout the process they were communicative and responsive. Haven was organized, friendly, charismatic and overall informative. The roof was stripped and dry rot repaired, new gutters added, the attic insulated and new roof put on in less than two days. I had a good feeling the day MEC showed up at my house to give me a bid on my roof. My husband wasn’t able to be home for it and I knew nothing about roofs and gutters. Matt took the time to explain every detail to me. None of the other bids I got were as thorough.Next, after deciding to have MEC do the job, I had the pleasant experience of meeting Haven when I went to their showroom to choose our roof & gutter colors. Not only was she also helpful explaining in detail the differences in the shingles but I left there feeling like I was in good hands and she was my go-to girl if I had any other questions. I didn’t...because they both had so efficiently explained everything to me already! Communication was great-she even emailed a quick note a few days before they were to start.The actual tear-off of the old roof and install were flawless-they worked so hard! Awesome crew replaced our roof and installed new gutters on our 3700 square foot house. Showed up on time as scheduled. They took care of a variety of areas that needed repair and spent extra time to check and repair our leaking skylight. They also dropped off facia wood in advance so it could be painted before installation. This saved us a lot since we didnt have to hiring a painter after the roof installation. Friendly team kept us well informed, kept the house surroundings clean and picked up all debris. Plus they coordinated with our solar installation vendor. Excellent service.

MEC did a complete roof replacement for me on both my 2400SF primary home in Lake Wildwood and an 800 SF cabin in the middle of the woods outside North San Juan- on the same day! My primary home included coordination with SEG for removal and re-installation of 18 solar panels on the residence.They committed to a schedule and performed exactly to that commitment. They tore off and completed the entire installation at the cabin in one day, despite very difficult access issues to the site.They removed the residential roof and dried in my house on the first day, and completed the project on day two. They showed up with 8 very pleasant guys, plus support cleanup guys, and completed by noon on the second day. Fast, efficient, clean, and really good people from estimator to cleanup guys. Beautiful work with attention to details. They have the manpower to get it done, quickly.MEC is very communicative, responsive, and true to their commitments. They are an excellent installer of quality materials. If ever needed, I know they will be there.

We were nervous about our purchase of a new roof and didnt know much about this huge undertaking. We called MEC because we had read some positive on-line reviews about the company. Matt, one of the co-owners came to our home and walked us through the process, putting our minds at ease with his knowledge and competitive pricing. Haven helped us choose the type and color of roof, and walked us through the financial details. Choosing the color was a concern for us, because we would be living with that decision for years to come. Haven suggested we drive around town and view the roofs that they had installed, which gave us a better understanding of how our roofing choices would look once installed. Matt and Haven kept us in the loop in all aspects of our roof installation from beginning to end. When the crew arrived they worked together like a well-oiled machine. They listened to our concerns and far exceeded our expectations. Within two days our 40 year-old roof had been torn off, taken away and a beautiful new roof took its place. What an amazing experience! I just didnt want to deal with a new roof. Our electrician friend referred us to MEC and after talking to more people in the area, they also referred us to MEC. Haven is truly responsive and a pleasure to work with and Matt came out and explained everything that was wrong with the roof by the photos he took and then explained what would take place during the process. Now the process... I could not believe it took 48 hours to get our roof done. My house is pretty big and a Tudor, so the roof is not your typical roof. The price, it couldnt be beat. When I received the quote, I was actually expecting it to be double. I jumped on it. The workers that came to do the roof... WHAT AN AMAZING GROUP. I would call them the Power House of Roofers. Just got my new roof put on yesterday. Everything about MEC was amazing from the initial quote to the finished project. Matt and Haven were extremely courteous, professional and knowledgeable. Matt explained their roofing material in great detail. Haven is a doll. She helped me with roof and gutter colors and again educated me on their business. I already feel like I am family. I chose the Mountainside with white gutters. They treat their customers with top priority, care, and love. Roofing began on May 3rd. I have 5,000sqft of roof between house and detached garage with a very steep pitch. Christian who is also Co-Owner has his crew orchestrated and is eager to answer any questions. They got everything stripped in one day - Wow- with the Titanium Paper on top of my existing plywood. I did not need any plywood replaced. New roof materials showed up next day- again - all orchestrated and well organized. During this process they kept everything cleaned up, hauled off debris and put away for next day. Matt comes each day to talk to crew and make sure everything is going smoothly also to keep me updated on progress. They finished in 3 days, 4 hours. Wow. I’m in Love with my new roof - couldn’t be happier and I’m so glad I chose MEC Builds. I Love everyone there. The website and Facebook pages show exactly what they are all about. We used MEC Builds to replace a redwood fence on a rental property. The old fence has fallen down and we wanted it replaced as soon as possible so our renters had the privacy and security they needed. MEC was able to tear down and replace the fence the week after contacting them. They were very professional and yet personable. They gave us a bid and finished the job on time and within budget. They did a very good job and left the property looking much better than it did before they started. They also hauled away the debris from the old fence.
