Please note that when you book a U-Haul you do it for 24 hours and not anything less than that.I booked it for 4 hours and due to an issue I delivered it in 5 hours and was charged for TWO days.Had I booked for 24,hours and delivered in 23 hours (thus early) I would have paid only ONE day.When I called and explained this issue I was thrown the traditional answer … THAT IS WHAT IS IN THE CONTRACT.Amazed that this company spends so much money to ensure they customers are happy and forget about the most basic one of all … DELIVER ABOVE YOUR CUSTOMERS EXPECTATIONS.

I cant speak to their storage and rental practices, but I will say this: tread with caution if youre thinking of using this shop to install a trailer hitch. I scheduled an appointment a month in advance to have a trailer hitch installed on my vehicle and paid for the work up front. The night before my scheduled appointment, the tech emailed me to confirm that he had everything he needed to complete the job. The day of my appointment, I dropped my vehicle off at the scheduled time and went about my day. Around lunch, the tech left me a voicemail advising that he wasnt going to get to it and that he could come in the next day to do it; but, there was no further explanation as to why he couldnt do it. After failing to get through by phone, my husband reached out to the corporate help desk/customer service desk, and even CORPORATE couldnt get through to the shop. Finally, the tech calls back at 6PM (an hour before closing) to give some half-hearted explanation as to why he wasnt able to do the job. Needless to say, I explained all the reasons why this was unacceptable. I picked up my vehicle and requested a refund, but I will NOT be going back to this location for anything if I can help it.

I dont usally post bad reviews but i have been storing my stuff hear for some time now and the customer service and storage accessibility gets worse than ever not only do you have to worry about them having a millon uhal trucks parked 3 deep in the best accessible spots for loading and unloading for storage you have to fight the employees for the last few inconvenient storage parking spots cause they are to selfish to park across the lot really poor customer service

This is definitely a one stop shop location. They have all the moving vehicles. This is also a storage facility. This place also sells all your packing needs. It took me about 3 minutes to reserve a u-haul truck.I will definitely buy some bubble wrap and a mattress case from this location.

Not only am I having to stand in line for a mobile pick up. None of my items were loaded onto my truck and the check engine light is on. This has been the worst and most inconvenient customer service I have ever received. And dont ask the actual employees questions they should know about there job the are literally clueless. I had to walk out in the pouring rain to find my own truck. I hate it here!!!!!!

Love this place. Very helpful staff and they always help you with any moving rentals!! They take very good care of you and they are reasonably priced.

I’ve had good service in person, but you’re out of luck getting someone on the phone.

Stopped in to get some information to see if they offer moving services with actual moving help. They do but its 3rd party vendors that I can choose from a list after going to a website. I am sure its just as easy to find any moving company via Google. Also needed to buy moving boxes and tape but honestly the same type boxes are significantly cheaper at Walmart. I am giving 5 stars because the guys working here were super friendly and very helpful. This location also has a large storage facility where you can rent space.

I moved out of the storage in Grapevine the end of April 2021. When I went in to check out, I was told the computer was down and they would take care of everything as long as it was cleaned out, which it was. I am still getting late notices. Ive been on hold for over an hour and a half today to try to get someone to help me. Total ineptness and incompetence!

This Grapevine U-Haul is the worst. From beginning to end the workers were extremely rude and unhelpful. They don’t answer their phone and never called me to let me know my car was ready. There’s plenty of other places to install hitches, use them instead of this U-Haul.

Rude staff, dirty, disorganized showroom. Really slow service, not excited about going back any time soon.

I have used this location several different times for various rentals because it’s nearby. This location is almost always short handed, and never accurate on the rentals/reservations. On several occasions I’ve requested a 10’ truck only to be told a 15’ is all that is available. Today, after retuning a 15’, I found there were three 10’ rentals in the yard that had not moved all day.

Outstanding customer service! Leonardo and Jason are top notch customer service wizards. Came in with a wiring problem on the trailer and drove out in 15 minutes. They even showed me how to take care of the problem if it should happen again when I’m on the road. Definitely would recommend this UHAUL location and these two gentlemen.

They had us go to the ATM twice because of their employee and manager miscommunication, their system was down.. no communication between the manager and the employees, long waiting times (1 hr) only two employees. I can’t see how a company can’t handle too many costumers on a weekend, employees takes at least 30 minutes to complete a task. terrible management, spend some money training more employees to provide a better customer service. The regional manager would be doing a better job running a circus.. come and take a look, or you’re too busy doing bbq on the weekend? do what you’re paid to do!!Check the cameras on 30-5-2020 between 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM, see how long each costumer was standing in line!! Fix this if you even care.

I rented moving totes and requested to return them in my new city but instead was marked as a local move so I am now driving an hour to return moving totes. First and last time I rent from uhaul

Made a reservation online. Called ahead the day of pick up to see if I could pick up early and they already had the truck ready and waiting. Pick up procedure went quickly and smoothly. Return process took no time at all. This is a well run location. Staff is friendly and works hard to get you in and out in a timely manner.

Didnt rent from this location this time, but did participate in their give a box, take a box program after having moved to the area. The staff was less than personable or helpful. I carried in three loads of boxes by myself with literally no interaction or assistance. Im old fashion and I still believe in good customer service.

Needed a trailer hitch installed quickly and reasonably priced. Tried a couple of auto repair shops, who told me that I would probably be better off trying U-Haul. They were definitely right. Jared got started right after I arrived, and an hour or so later I was on my way. I am definitely pleased with the quality of the service and with the price.

My fiancé and I had a pretty terrible day and the people there today worked with us and helped us out. We appreciate it very much. Will be returning for future rentals.

The rental part went very smooth was in my vehicle very fast. The problem was I rented the vehicle at 10 am and I had to the next morning to return it. I return the vehicle the same night but my receipt states I did not return the vehicle until 2 days later and was charged for the 2 extra days

I am more than pleased with Grapevine Uhauls employee Debotah U. She is absolutely all about the customer. We came from Galveston County and last weekend our plans kind of fell through, we were able to return the trailerand she later called us saying wed be reimbursed. We were not expecting that and are grateful. We returned this weekend and she and she even remembered my name! She Rocks!!

Tried calling 4 times and waited 10 min time, not picked up by anyone. Ordered trailer hitch on line and drove over to the location to change the date of installation. On the date of installation I was 3/4 of the way to the shop and recd a call that the hitch was not in and they were not sure when it would arrive. I cancelled my order and when to the Lewisville location and it was installed the next day. Good service at that location. The Grapevine location is no longer on my radar for anything.

Ive used this location multiple times. This is my U-Haul place. They take care of me here. Although like all of life, they cant control everything that happens. This is the real world. Things dont always go perfectly where you work either. But when something did go wrong with the van I rented last year, they sent someone right out. They repaired it and got me on my way again. And just now, I was able to rent a small box truck. On a Saturday afternoon. At the end of the month.

Came to this location to get trailer lights fixed. Jared went above and beyond and made sure everything was working correctly and was very communicative during the process. Id definitely recommend anyone to this location.

My check-in process was less than 5 minutes, which was very impressive. Alexandria was incredibly helpful, and this has been the best experience Ive had at a Uhaul location to date.

What’s the difference between an elephant and Grapevine U-haul? The elephant may answer the phone! They put you on hold for 5 minutes then hang up on you. Think they are more interested in a smoke break than helping anyone.

They decent, used their unit twice, good location.

So I had to rent some moving blankets in Dallas to take to Lubbock (u-haul was apparently out of blankets in the entire city of Lubbock). They front counter staff was super nice and they even carried the blankets out to my truck. On the return side things were a little different. The lack of personality of the gentleman checking me in was painful. He was blunt and short in his speaking but the saving grace was that it took less than 3 minutes in and out. If you dont mind the lack of conversation you wont mind dealing with this place.

Never been here before, lots of everything you need. Only one clerk at the counter and she really needed help. Would have given more stars if didnt have to wait so long for boxes.

I would give no stars if possible. I am super easy going and very difficult to rattle and get upset. In fact, I have never written a review, because usually I just let it go. However; I am writing this review as a warning to anyone who is trying to get a hitch installed at U-Haul in Grapevine. I got a hitch installed at U-Haul in Grapevine, TX. There were many issues with the installation. The electricity didnt work to my trailer, my tail lights were not installed back correctly in my car...a wire was hanging out of the passenger side tail light, bolts were missing and cap covers were broken and just left laying in the back of my wifes car. The tail lights were very loose and rattling around. But, the main thing was that there were big chunks of paint chipped off on the lift gate in the back. I just bought this car for my wife and we looked over every inch of the car and we are completely 100% sure that those chunks of paint were not there when I took it to UHaul. The paint was scratched that day there at UHaul. I called to ask the installer about it and he denied all of it and even seemed a bit put out by me suggesting the lights didnt work, bolts were missing, my tail lights were lose, and that the paint had been chipped. I was very hesitant to take my car back, because of the job he did the first time. We did take it back and got someone else to fix the problems, however, I still have chipped paint on my wifes new car. I am going through RepWest their insurance company to file a claim. Well see how it goes.

Superb overall experience. Super clean vehicles and very nice & friendly staff! Alexandria did a great job to check us in. I made stupid mistake when returning the van at night and accidently dropped my own car keys into the key return night box while the U-Haul van keys were still in my pockets. LolI called U-Haul customer service to help as I would not be able to start my car nor would I get into my home without these keys. I was extremely surprised when (again) Alexandria pulled up after only 10-15 minutes at night to get the keys exchanged for me! Now - this was an extraordinary customer service!Thanks again!We had a few U-Haul vehicles previously from their location at 2630 W Irving Blvd Irving, TX 75061. This was a horrible place with very rude staff so we are very happy to have found the Grapevine, TX U-Haul location!

Horrible customer sevice here. I was double charged and after 2 weeks of back and forth no one ever helped me. The manager Mr. Lopez was no help at all. Please be advised they doubke charge alot of people.

Uhaul is a great service, but the people here tend to be a little rude. And they want to charge the most possible, so be on time. Get their insurance, its worthy the money.

I typically dont go out of my way to post a negative review, but this one deserves the 5-minutes out of my day. Staff was incredibly rude, both on the phone during the reservation (which I ultimately just ended up making online), when I picked up the vehicle and when I dropped it off. When I notified them that they forgot the moving blankets, the response was an eye-roll and heavy sigh. The big guy with glasses working the register (sorry, didnt catch his name) was so rude to everyone he checked out that every customer in line was just shaking their head in disbelief. Its a shame places like this arent held accountable for their complete disregard for customer service, but hopefully this post will help. If you find this review before making a reservation, do yourself a favor and drive a few extra miles to another Uhaul center. If you risk it, be sure to call them out when they step out of line.

Nothing but good things to say about this Uhaul location. I have rented Uhauls from them on numerous occasions and I have also had them install a tow hitch on my truck. Very great people here. Would recommend using this Uhaul.

Dont rent from this company - unless you like that gotcha feeling. Rental was ok, but i received a threatening email to pay toll charges 11 months after the rental. Glad to pay any tolls that come to me on a reasonable time frame, but the emails were adding $35 in admin fees (on $2 of tolls) and the emails were threatening additional admin fees and collection/attorney action. I did not receive any contact or emails from the rental dealer or the corporate office before these showed up at the 11 month mark. When i went online to review the charges, those numbers didnt match the email charges so i have been on the phone for a long while. They claimed it was because of a system error - this looks like a scam to me. The local manager at the Grapevine location was hostile and completely unhelpful to resolve this - saying this is corporate and referring me to a 888 number. So far i have spent over 2 hours trying to resolve this.

Calling in is a joke, they put you in hold to listen to their on hold speech, called in and drive to location only too find NOBODY on the phone. With this stinking message in my ear.

Horrible employees that always always have an attitude

I can honestly say that the customer service at this business was terrible. There was an extremely rude attitude from all of the employees, and even the general manager. I brought the truck that I rented back 5 minutes before closing, and was actually told by a representative that walking back into the office that I just missed them and that I needed to put the keys into the night time drop box. It wasnt until after I told him that another one of the workers walked right past me as I parked the truck in the equipment return lane that he would take the keys and give me my total. I was treated as if I was just another pain to deal with. Will be using Enterprise next time.

Spent 4 hours getting a hitch installed when I was told about 30 minutes, maybe less multiple times. Additionally, they did not start working on my car until about 12:30 when I had an appointment at 11:15. If you are going to take reservations, why would you not make a reservation for me when you had availability? Thats disrespectful of my time. Lastly, they left my car running when I didnt have much gas and I left the UHaul place almost completely on E. Such bull$hit, pardon my French.
