I worked for this employer in the DFW area. I was brought in with many promises. Just shy of six months, with no forewarning, I was let go for budget cuts. I walked into the office one day, and was jobless less than 30 minutes later.Less than a month later, they had hired on a part time and another full time employee. The employee that came in under my old position was let go in much the same manner. Again, no warning.My spouse worked there for longer. He, too, was brought in under promises. They promised a review within a year, and it took them more than 18 months for them to give him a review. When they did, it was extremely casual, and he didnt even realize it was a review until after the fact.They told him that due to a storage fee that was incurred (of $4500, which, lets face it, is pocket change for this company), they had to let him go. After busting his butt for this company for over a year, just like that. Again, no forewarning.When he filed for unemployment, they refused it, telling the TWC that they fired him for misconduct. Interestingly enough, there are other employees there that have incurred far larger fees (think of 30,000+), and yet they ended up promoted. Not only that, but the district manager promised a shining recommendation letter on the day that he was fired.This company shows extreme favoritism towards those that brown nose. How is it that an employee that he trained managed to be promoted to a position that he was up for? I cant say that all locations operate under these shady conditions, but the DFW location certainly does.On a final note; if you are looking to ship with this company, expect lies and corner cutting. To say that they do not meet the FAA standards is a gross understatement. Their corned cutting goes beyond just how they handle their employees, but in almost all of their business practices. If you are looking to have your shipments moved under incorrect AES labeling, then this is the company for you, because they will charge you when they are caught.
