Great care for our golden retriever. The compassion from Dr. McGee was extraordinary. Our dog was in dire health at admission. After a thorough exam, Dr. McGee had prepared us that if she didnt stabilize overnight she wouldnt be a successful candidate for surgery. When we visited with Dr. McGee the next day, she was as excited as we were that our girl had rallied so well. She had major surgery. And the next day, another compassionate doctor and staff were as excited to report her good progress as we were to hear it. Its a stressful event to have a pet in ER -- not to mention an unplanned expense -- but the compassionate and informative care we received gives us confidence in AEHNT! Everyone was great. They kept up updated on Scarletts progress. Also, on our 3 hour trip there, they welcomed us to call them if we had questions or concerns while traveling either regards to our parrot or directions. kept us informed, let us go see her and seemed genuinely concerned

There is no other team of doctors, nurses, technicians, and receptionists that I trust more than those at the Animal Emergency Hospital of Notth Texas. I brought my hedgehog Benjamin to them and we were taken care of as soon as we walked through the door. They walked me through all possible options and were very upfront about all costs and risks. I know that he received the very best care possible. They supported me and gave me as much time as I needed to make some very tough decisions. I am so grateful to everyone who was there that night. I can’t say enough good things about this animal emergency hospital. Every staff member we have encountered here has been courteous and professional. We have always been treated with kindness and respect and it is much appreciated, especially since we are highly anxious about our beloved pets each time we arrive! The doctor was very knowledgeable, patient and thorough in explaining my dogs condition. And all the staff treated my dog gently and wonderfully. I love this place!

Great Staff. Great Doctors. Responsive. Helpful. I felt despite the tough circumstances occurring with my fur baby, Eddie, the doctors did a great job taking wonderful care of him and keeping me up to date on his status. Recommendations and Care seemed reasonable/what was needed. These situations are always expensive, and it was, but he is worth it for good care. Immediate action to start the care he needed and keeping me updated on his progress/needs was very important and they delivered.

Staff was very kind, the vet was seasoned and professional. They got us in and saw us immediately. Sadly, we had to let our baby go and they helped make it as bearable as possible. Price was in line with my expectation.

Unfortunately our 18+ years-old dog went downhill very quickly in the middle of the night. With limited options at 3:00 am, we took her to the closest place, but their computer system was down. We drove to the next closest which happened to be the Animal Emergency Hospital. We were allowed in, so that was a plus in our opinion. They took her back, but unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done to improve her condition. The doctor was so reassuring and answered all the questions we had in order to make the best decision about the end of her life. They let us spend as long as we needed to tell her goodbye, although she was pretty much not herself at that point. We never felt rushed or guilty or pushed in any direction with our decision. Two days later, we got the sweetest card in the mail honoring our love for our JoJo. Their level of thoughtfulness and consideration for everyone’s feelings is way above what I would consider expected. Blessings on this staff. 💗

I keep chickens and, when it comes to their health, once they show signs of illness, they are often too far gone for help. I came across this clinic in a panic to find immediate care for an extremely lethargic bird.I was so grateful for the sensitive and prompt care given by the staff here. They were completely transparent with me at all times in regards to the state of my pet, what they knew about her illness, and what my options were in regards to her care (as well as being understanding of cost concerns). Even though my pet ended up passing away, I was so glad to get professional help for her when non-emergency clinics were unable to schedule me a quick appointment at the time. The transparency about my chickens condition and possible plans, with understanding of cost concerns was extremely helpful.

The wait was long but we understood it was a triage. I would have liked an update while we were waiting in the exam room. But it was a busy day . The staff was gentle with my dog and talked to her. She is feeling better tonight and I am glad we took her in!

The front desk staff was awesome and patient. The Vet was very kind and caring. The tech who called us felt rude and rushed. I understand it being a very very long wait for a Friday night. I am so glad we were able to have her seen. I do wish that they were a little more accurate with their timing. They called and said to pick up our dog in 30 min. My husband got there in 30 min. After he paid it took 30 to 40 min for them to bring her out. Besides that, our dog is feeling better, she got good care. The did not do unnecessary test or procedures, which is very nice. The staff & doctor did an amazing job. Communication was amazing and they informed us of the cost and helped us decide what test where most important. With being, an emergency appointment the cost was affordable and they took amazing care of our two Sheepdoodle’s. We are very thankful & would highly recommend. Staff and doctor were excellent - very friendly and understanding. They treated us much better than even our primary vet. You took the time to exam and properly diagnose our dogs issue. And were also very clear about a care plan.

We used Animal Emergency Hospital because of the proximity to a surgical unit if necessary and the competency of the Veterinarians and availability of diagnostic equipment. Our dog was well taken care of. We wish that we did not have to spend 2 plus hours in the exam room and that we would have received updates on our pet’s exam during that time period. Overall service was good.

Our cat stayed at this facility for 2 nights after a high risk surgery at the surgery center next door. I felt confident in all of the vets I came in contact with. They were all very caring, some more than others. I did not feel that they tried to rip us off money wise in any way, and did only what they felt was necessary for the care of our cat. In fact, our cat wasnt eating that great so instead of keeping him there longer, they wanted to try to send him home to see if he would eat- and he did. Yes it is expensive- what animal ER vet isnt? Our situation was an emergency surgery, so our stress level was very high. I felt confident that our cat was getting quality care based on the communication from the vets. They were knowledgeable and answered all of our questions even let us go by and see him on the second night, which they arent supposed to do. . The front desk staff was also knowledgable and extremely friendly. I was never in the dark about how my pet was doing and felt that everyone involved cared. I would take my cat back here, and I would recommend it to anyone else.

We came in as an emergency and did not call ahead. We were brought straight back to a room and were helped soon after. They took great care of our boy after being attacked and a little scared. The doctor came out and gave us a breakdown with prices of everything they were going to do and let us say yes or no before they charged us. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for a animal ER. We felt comfortable leaving Hunter there while they treated him for his wounds. They were quick and took great care of our boy. I didnt feel pressured to add anything. They listened to our concerns and Hunter is doing much better. Would recommend and come back.

We were faced with a stressful situation with our pup and the entire staff we were in contact with helped to calm us and manage the situation. I had to bring my baby quaker parrot in and the staff were great. They got me in quickly and their prices were reasonable. All costs were disclosed prior to treatment and I left with a happy parrot. I cannot recommend them enough and will return if another emergency arises.

They were quick to see my sick cat and get him care. I did have him admitted and left feeling good they would check on him hourly. He was in the best place he could be while we figured out what was causing his fever. The Dr would call me with updates and took the time to answer my questions.

I had to drive here in desperation when our beloved pet had an emergency and (being the holiday weekend) every vet I called was closed.As soon as I carried him in and said that it was an emergency, they took him, asked if I wanted resuscitation, and whisked him away. I was so glad they jumped into action and didnt ask me to do paperwork until after.They put him in a warmer and gave him oxygen. I was very worried what the cost would be, especially since it was an emergency vet. I was concerned the charges would be piling up. Luckily they asked for permission for everything, and did not do anything without asking first.Luckily I got to bring my furbaby home that day. The vet who came to talk to me was knowledgeable and patient (even though I had an exotic pet that they dont typically see), and gave good advice with all my options. They even had some food on hand for him to try to eat. I was impressed.They even filled his prescriptions there. So, I didnt have to make an extra trip to the pharmacy.The whole visit was only like 200 bucks, including the meds.Im super pleased and glad I brought my pet here. Things went better than I could have imagined!

The veterinary care our 8 month old Springer Spaniel received at AEHNT was superb. She needed emergency gastrointestinal surgery. The doctors and technicians diagnosed the problem quickly, prepared her for the surgery and helped her recover in a way that ensured she would survive and heal quickly. We are so thankful for all of their efforts to save our dear Sadie!

Been coming here for years. Weve had several emergencies with our cat. They are very competent , kind , patient , and understanding. Everyone seems to really care and know what to do.

We have had to visit AEH a few times this year. The first was to put our old dog down, and the other 2 to deal with our puppy when she was sick. The staff and doctors have been great every time. They are very sensitive to our emotional state, as well as the physical state of our pet. Everything they do is well done.

We bought a Guinea Pig from a chain pet store. When we got him home we realized that he had an abscess that was getting worse daily. The pet store wouldnt offer us help and we couldnt find anywhere in Fort Worth that would treat him. Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas took us in immediately and took great care of Justin. Took excellent care of our pet and helped make my son feel like his pet was really being taken care of.

Excellent medical care. They really made my dog feel comfortable. Wait was much shorter then they expected. Dr Daubert was very kind and provided excellent medical care.

My rat, Remy, started having some balance issues and wasnt eating. After calling vet after vet, the hospital was able to get me right in first thing in the morning. The front desk is polite and the vet techs are amazing! Even though I was frazzled and having a bit of a helicopter mom freak out, they were extremely helpful and very communicative and I felt reassured by their care. They were straight forward and tactful about Remys care and I definitely felt safe having my fur kiddo in Dr. Ramirezs hands. Remy is a much happier girl after her visit. Thank you staff!!

I would never take any of my animals to this place again. Poor insufficient care of my ferret that crashed at her primary vet after vaccination. This hospital did not give my ferret iv fluids to help her and really did nothing but perhaps watch her overnight. Totally unnecessary and seems it was just done for the money. Lucky my sweet ferret survived but I wish I had taken her somewhere else for emergency care.

Murphy had to stay for 24 hrs to be monitored for seizures. The vet took her time with us discussing his condition, their plan of care, as well as the estimated cost. The staff was upfront about the time it would take to be seen and to hear again from the doctor. Murphy received great care and is home on meds.

I brought my bearded dragon in here when she was very very sick. the staff was beyond understanding and super kind to me despite the fact i blamed myself for my baby’s sickness. they gave me plenty of comfort, resources, and reassurance that i had done the best i could for her. my beardie is now living a much better life in a new home thanks to the resources given to me by the clinic and i am forever grateful for them. please bring your exotics (and non exotics) here. they provide amazing service, courtney (my vet tech) was outstanding in comforting me and helping me through such a hard time.

You were willing to see our pup when no one else had appointments available and we were advised to have him seen immediately by our regular vet. We are grateful for that. Absolutely amazing care! There was a medical emergency with one of my dogs, and the front desk was able to decipher what had happened and how far out I was through tears. The moment I got there, someone came up front and carried him to the back. Me, having an intense Momma Bear reaction, waited in the parking lot. My wife and I cannot be more grateful for the experience we had at Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas. When the time came that our baby girl of almost 14 years had more bad days then good, we had to make the heartbreaking decision it was time to lay her to rest. From the first phone call to gather information, they put us at ease and we knew they would be the right choice. They met us at the door, carried her back and put us in a private room. Allowed all the time we wanted with her before and after. We were able to sing to her and give her love till the very end. While it was a heavy day, the amount of respect they showed to her and us will not be forgotten.

I had a terrible situation with my little dog who had bleeding diarrhea. I had made 2 appointments with a local vet who canceled on me after arrival (due to too many clients). At 1am I was desperate. The Staff were WONDERFUL. The Vet gave immediate care-- presented me with 2 plans of action. I selected the plan I could afford and my dog was better almost instantly.... the staff were WONDERFUL!! I would recommend to anyone in need of great pet care.

We accidentally backed over a alligator snapping turtle and brought him here to get fixed up and re-released. Im glad that we have amazing kind people willing to help our wildlife when accidents occur, they were informative and kind to talk to. I wish I never brought my animal here to see the exotic animal vet. I had called ahead to ensure they had someone who specializes in chickens, they had me come out and the vet knew nothing of a very common chicken issue. 150$ visit for her to tell me that she had no idea what it was (could have been a list of 8 things) and a over $1000 quote just to run tests and try things. When she came to discuss the service options, one of the first things she said and kept saying was if money is no issue.For a chicken. If I come here in the event of an emergency I expect the vet to have some idea or knowledge of the animals they claim to treat. Add on top of that the 2 hour wait. I left helpless and tired with no solution.

We were very worried when our new puppy started some concerning symptoms later at night. I was so thankful to find AENT close to home. The team there took great care of Dixie Jo and provided us nervous pet parents with real options and answers. The nurse and doctor took the time to make sure we were really informed on what could be going on and address her symptoms with care and expertise.

Don’t take your animal here. I brought my rabbit here last week. After paying over $500 the doctor told me she had a small blockage but was otherwise really healthy. I didn’t trust him so I took her to her normal vet on Monday and the vet suspected a tumor. Today is Friday and my rabbit had surgery and they found numerous tumors and we made the hard choice of putting her down.RIP, I love you forever lulu.

Brought my cat here when she was sick and our regular vet was not on call. The vet here told us she was dying and it may not be today or tomorrow but that she would definitely not live to see her next birthday. They tried to convince us to put her down. We did not and took her to a cat specialist instead who informed us she was not dying and the test results this place gave us were inaccurate. The new specialist successfully treated her and she had a happy and healthy birthday this past sunday. I called here to explain this entire completely unacceptable situation and after being transfered around and speaking to three rude people in three different departments, they maintained their position and sided with their vet that said she was going to die. I cant even put into words how disgusted and infuriated I am with this poor excuse for a hospital. They tried to kill my baby. No accountability. No apology. Not a word of remorse. They could have killed a perfectly fine young cat. Malfeasance in its most cruel form.

I would highly recommend! I took Buddy in on Sunday and even though they were extremely busy, he received excellent care. Cared about my dog and treated him with kindness

It was a very good experience! They took very good care of my dogs injured leg. The vet called me after the preliminary exam and again after with great detail.

This place not only told me my cat had an incurable disease and that she would die within a year of their diagnosis, but they offered to put her down in the same sentence. They were straight up wrong, as a cat specialist that actually cares ran the test for the disease that this place told us our cat had and she said absolutely not shell be fine. Lo and behold she just had her birthday and is better than ever. Thank god I didnt listen to them even after they insisted my cat was going to die. They probably got her diagnosis mixed up with some other poor cat they thought would be fine and had no idea it may have had feline leukemia. We tried to tell them just for that reason, even pointing out evidence of the test we did the next day but they told us we and the specialist were wrong and our cat is going to be dead. Shes not.

My cat has pancreatitis. This place was the only ER I could find who went the extra mile to find out what the cause was instead of just treating symptoms. My baby is finally home and eating and getting the correct meds for her situation. The team was well coordinated, waiting time was minimal. Communication was consistent and logical. I would use this place again if needed.

Staff was incredibly kind and patient and handled my stress and questions professionally and with empathy. My pet was discharged with ease and clear instructions. An ER visit is never pleasant but I was consistently communicated with and all costs of treatment were discussed beforehand.

Painfully slow admission and slow release. Very professional. Off the chart expensive. I thought I was out at $550 and then that number quickly escalated to $2000. I felt like we were held hostage. Probably naive on these expenses. Seemed to me over the top. Happy my dog was ok. and did not require surgery.

Doesn’t even deserve one star. my dog was having a heat stroke and doctor refused to treat him. didn’t even seem like he cared, honestly seemed like he was more in it for the money than for the actual well being of the dogs. spare your sweet pets and don’t take them here.

The entire staff at AEHNT was fantastic! This was my first emergency with my pup and from my initial phone call up until the time we left, I felt immediately at ease and otherwise in good hands. Dr. Tyler Hassell in particular was super helpful and explained everything in regards to Chicos allergic reaction in a way that was easy to understand which helped a lot to calm my nerves, hah. Another thing I loved was how the expectation was set right away regarding how everything was going to work at the hospital, from the initial paperwork that needed to be filled out and returned prior to bringing Chico in, to about how long I should expect to stay that evening as well as the follow up care. I seriously cant thank you guys enough!

Fantastic hospital who really cares. I was given an estimate and the doctor ended up sticking with the lower estimate so I was 100% for sure she did everything she could to help my pet without any unnecessary expenses The caring communication to keep us constantly informed of our pet was amazing

The techs and vets were very commpassionate and caring about our Nani. The vet gave us options and was very descriptive about every option. We received many updates so we werent concerned about what was going on. They even clipped her nails while there, which is so hard for me to do since they are black. The best part is they kept her until she was totally ready to go home and gave very clear instructions for her care. I would defiantly take Nani here again, but hope I won’t have to! Lol

My dog was roughly 13 years old. Old by any means of a dog. We got X Rays from Banfield that showed Freddy had a 6 growth on his spleen. The next step was to get a ultra sound and see if it was operable. We found many places were unavailable to do this for some reason.We were delighted to find this place was available for the Ultrasound and immediately brought him there around 9pm. We had spent ALL day calling other places. We had to sit in the parking lot waiting to hear news. They contacted us and said they could do the operation that evening. It was going to be $6,000-8,000. Obviously a lot of money. But to get another year from him would have been worth it.I questioned the pricing because all other places had said it would be $4-6,ooo. I was put on the phone with the actual doctor to discuss pricing, which seemed weird. Eventually our questions about costs were too much for the doctor and so the manager was put on the phone.She told me it was because it was a weekend, blah blah blah. Essentially she was saying that we have to pay more because they had the opportunity to charge us more based on the day of the week. But they already work weekends? Sounds like they are penalizing us because our dog was dying on the wrong day. As if we could help that. They also told us we were welcome to take him and bring him back Monday, if he made it that long. Lovely ultimatum.She told us how great the clinic was and that she only works there because its so great and not corporate at all.So we paid the money and moved forward with it. We were told they would start working on him over night. It was already 10pm. So we would assume with the seriousness of his condition, plus the extra $2000 charge, he would be worked on immediately. They even told us to be sure to answer the phone when they called. So we didnt sleep at all.5am rolls around and they called us to tell us they found fluid in his lungs and that if it was blood then it had spread and was likely that the surgery wasnt going to help. So what was happening all night? He was just sitting in a cage?We granted them permission to test the fluid. They called us back and said it was blood. So basically he was bleeding internally and the likelihood of survival went way down. Even with surgery. So we decided to come and pick him up at 6am and spend our last days with him.Everyone here was very nice. And we wanted to believe in them despite the circumstances. We picked up Freddy and took him home. Once home it became obvious that something was very wrong. Freddy was drinking TONS of water and staying outside as we prepared to take him to the Ocean for his last days. We noticed that he was literally foaming from the mouth. (See picture in grass) He was pacing back and forth. And he just looked absolutely miserable. This was not the same dog or situation we had before taking him to this clinic.We called them and they said he was probably in pain and we asked about meds and they said we had refused them... We were not offered meds when we picked him up. This could be an understandable mistake on the part of the staff. But we didnt really get any info from them when we picked him up.We got the final bill in the email and it was $1800! Wow. They had him for 8 hours for a Two Hour surgery that didnt take place. I really think it is a high bill for what was done. Then they wanted to charge us for meds, and we argued with them and they relented and didnt charge us. We returned and he was given a shot which made him really high (see second picture) and he didnt eat the entire day until about 9pm when he got Filet Mignon and Pork Chops for dinner.Freddy was put to sleep on Sunday. On the beach. By All heart Mobile Pet who didnt charge us extra for a weekend service. Infact she was cheaper than in Dallas and drove an hour from Houston. So we tipped her and her assistant $200 each for being available when no one else was.This is a tough business. But for $6-8000, i expect White Glove treatment. I am self employed and service is #1.Room for Improvement.

We were very pleased with The individualized treatment and attention Wonny received. Knowing I would get a phone call from the doctor each day was something to look forward to and keep me at ease. Everyone was so knowledgeable and caring.

I was thoroughly impressed with the aviary ER vet! She was incredible, and so very kind! She supported me in my endeavor to save a baby bird that likely didnt have a chance, and gave me the tools I needed to help the most precious orphaned bird.

We were very happy Doctor Brant took good care of our baby. Comet felt very comfortable after the small procedure to push bladder stone back into bladder. Comet might need surgery but for now he is doing good.It was a emergency situation.

Incredible care for my injured pet! The vet explained everything to me in detail and put me at ease. My dog is healing now thanks to the Incredible care he received!

Excellent for emergencies. Very expensive (but probably all emergency vet hospitals are).Doctors and Staff are very courteous and professional. Communication is excellent.

The doctor was through and the treatment was appropriate. We are really happy. Through care for our dog. Detailed explanations, listened, answered questions, staff was responsive.

The staff and doctors are great. They are busy for a reason. They saved our dogs life when she had a large tumor on her spleen. I would recommend anyone to them. Surgery

I have taken Nita here a few times in an Emergency. She is a Shar Pei and has Shar Pei fever episodes and they are the only place that can successfully treat her. I wish I could take her there as our primary veterinarian. They are very helpful and thorough. The treatment for the illness was perfect.

The visit was great, they were very responsive and able to help my chicken. I do wish it was more affordable for someone with chickens or a flock of chickens where I could bring subsequent chickens in at a lesser price if they have the same illness (chickens catch everything contagious) Communicated well the options, plan and how to treat my pet.

I adore the Animal Emergency Hospital of North Texas! The staff is friendly and professional, and I truly feel my pets (a puppy and a chinchilla) get excellent care when theyve come here. They provide quality medical care and advice - the doctor we spoke to was especially friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable

It is such a comfort to know we have an excellent ER for our pets that is close by and always provides outstanding care. The entire staff is professional, thorough, communicates effectively and provides clear understanding of care and costs.

This place is a joke. We are out of the country and one of our dogs fell ill. Our son just took our sick dog there on a Sunday and were turned away. Apparently they were able to look at our dog and assess that he did not appear to be DYING and sent us away. These people clearly do not CARE. Take your animal somewhere else. They are rude and clearly only care about making a buck. As 25+ year residents of Southlake I cannot strongly enough warn against doing business with this establishment.
