Ziggy cut his paw on some unknown object and this was the first place we found that was open. They took him in quickly and the registration/sign in was easy to do online. Understandably the wait time was a few hours before we were able to get an update (they’re very prompt with text updates and answered all questions I had over the phone while we waited at home)The vet who took care of Ziggy was extremely kind and did her best to accommodate our financial needs while still providing the best care for him!100% recommend this place if your baby gets hurt, they’ll take such good care of them!Ziggy’s a little drowsy from sedation but very happy to be home and feeling better❤️

Though the wait was long it was well worth it for the care and love my bird was shown. With the only avian vet in town moved I had to come to their facility and was met with patience, dedication and understanding. Our little pigeon was revealed to have a broken leg and was provided pain medication, a splint and a time frame for when to return for a checkup. Im grateful they were willing to take an uncommon patient, after 10 different to calls to other facilities that wont see avian patients being able to work with them and their wonderful staff was a blessing to us.

If your animal is having an emergency look no further, this is the place to go. Their communication with you as the pet owner is superb, letting you know all the details every step of the way. Although they are often busy (a sign of a good clinic!), they truly care about each and every pet that enters their clinic. I had no worries about the care my Little Dude was getting. All the doctors do their very best to save these little lives and I couldnt be more thankful for those kind and softhearted individuals.

I cannot thank the staff here enough for their hard work and compassion they have shown my dog and family over the past 2 years. Tonight my dog got stung by a bug and had a severe reaction. When we came in they were honest that it would take 4+ hours and we can go wait in the car or at home. They also reassured us that they see this all the time and not to worry. I called a few times to ask for updates and they were always understanding and ready to answer any questions I had. To my surprise it took less than 3 hours and I was already on my way home, with a happy, healthy dog. We also brought her here when she was a puppy 2 years ago with parvo, we were afraid that she wouldn’t even make it through the night at home. The staff here told us that they believed she would make it, and with their care within 12 hours she was doing 99x better!! Thank you again for saving my dogs life, your work means so much to me and my family!

10/10 amazing experience. In these times it’s scary trusting others with your fur babies. My cat was left in the best hands! The vet was so informative, and patient with all my questions. They took amazing care of him, and gave him lots of love. Highly recommend!! Also- no waiting room, you get to wait at home, so your pet is comfortable.

Checked in at 3am got a text to come in around 6am. Tanner was there for about 7 hours. They did lots of testing and very communicative throughout his stay with texts and calls. I really liked Dr. Brink. Never met her personally but she was very friendly over the phone. She made me feel like Tanner was in good hands. I would for sure come back if there were another emergency with our pets.

What a wonderful place and staff. My little Daisy was stumbling and falling over. They got her right in and stabilized within the hour. Then they got to work figuring out what was wrong. They ran multiple tests and found a birth defect. Then supplied me with medication to hold her over until we can get to the specialist. I thought I was going to lose her that night but the staff was calm, caring and professional. They even sent me updates and a picture of her which was a wonderful touch... and made me feel SO much better about her care.

They took such excellent care of both me and my dog. Their communication and compassion were completely unmatched. My Scout was there for 2 days and I was so impressed by the fact that even though I know they were busy a vet was always willing to speak with me and keep me updated on her condition. Then when she was discharged they gave me a multiple page summary detailing everything they did and saw during her stay. I cannot say enough good things about this staff!

Theres not enough words to describe how amazing this vet hospital is! After a freak accident with our kitten, Graydon, while on vacation in Silver Lake, we couldnt find any vet near us to help. This was the closest one we could find and thank God we did. They were waiting when we arrived to take our sweet kitten. They provided amazing care to him, while in constant contact with us. They even sent us a picture of him to ease this mamas heart ❤! Everyone involved with this animal hospital is OUTSTANDING! We cannot thank them enough. I highly recommend this wonderful facility to anyone looking. They will take phenomenal care of your pets. Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone that works there. We were blessed to find you in our time of need!

The staff is amazing! We unfortunately had to bring our little hammy in for a suspected uti. It was a scary situation but having such a nice and attentive staff made the experience so much easier. The check in and check out process was very effective and effective. Definitely recommend bringing your pet here, they will take great care of them!

My daughters cat got electrocuted and they were able to get her care, pain medication and antibiotics to help save her life. She is on a feeding tube to eat until she heals. They took great care of her.

I had a great experience with AEH when my dog, Lulu had an unexpected illness after normal vet hours. Despite this place being so busy all the time, everyone was so patient, kind, and compassionate when I called frequently for updates. All of the providers and staff were honest and upfront about her care and the costs. I even got some surprise pictures sent to me letting me know how she was doing and it really eased my mind. I highly recommend AEH if your pet is in need of emergency vet care. Lulu is just about back to her normal self, I can’t thank you enough!

I had to take my dog there last night for a possible UTI as no other vet in the area could get her in within a month. We checked in at 6pm and could not get her in until almost 2am, however, it wasnt a dire emergency. The staff there was so friendly and 3 hours later our pup was home with medicine and feeling better. REALIZE that everywhere is understaffed, so obviously the wait time is going to be longer than usual - it is not their fault that the wait time is longer than normal.The vet personally called to let us know what they found and how to treat it. I was very impressed with their services and would highly recommend to anyone having an animal emergency or needing service for their pets.

We took our 8 week old puppy here for a very bloated stomach. They took him in and cared for him almost immediately. The people that work there are extremely nice and very professional. If we ever have another emergency I will not hesitate to take our dog there again!

The staff at the emergency hospital took such great care of our dog, Rusty. It was easy to fill out paperwork online and everything was ready for him when we got there. We appreciated being able to call at any time for updates. Rusty’s discharge notes are very detailed and easy to follow so we can continue his care at home. Even though the hospital had a lot of patients, they were able to get my dog in to quick wrap his paw the day he injured himself. We were told to keep our spot in the queue for the following day; we were seen in the morning and we were able to pick our dog up surprisingly quickly after his procedure. They had an influx of many critical patients prior to seeing our dog and they were still vale to get him seen promptly. Great service and communication by this animal hospital! I highly recommend!

Overall I was quite impressed and pleased with how Animal Emergency Hospital treated and took care of our 9 week old puppy Brady! The communication was great and they did a great job giving us options and recommendations on how to treat Brady! They were not pushy at all on what treatment and options they gave us for Brady and really helped us make good informed decisions. I also thought the price was pretty fair considering all the tests they had to do to correctly diagnose Brady. Their diagnoses and treatment for Brady seem to be spot on as Brady is doing great! I honestly hope we don’t ever need to take Brady to a 24 hour animal emergency hospital again, however if we do I will only trust taking him Animal Emergency Hospital!

This emergency hospital was truly a lifesaver for my dog. When he took a turn for the worse over the Labor Day weekend, I didn’t know what else to do. The staff there were accommodating, compassionate, and knowledgeable. They helped me stay informed about my dog’s condition and progress. They were also extremely fair and upfront about pricing and costs for treatment. I would highly recommend this clinic if you are in need of an after hours or emergency vet hospital.

Compared to Blue Pearl, anywhere is better, but this place was phenomenal! The ladies are all very friendly, professional, heartfelt and kind to humans and animals alike. They did their best to keep me informed, rushed to help my Baby with no hesitation, and even dealt with the anxious, worried me who couldn’t sit still. The doctors explained everything perfectly, made it easy to understand, and gave me every option available to me. They were transparent about cost, treatment, the exam and their final results. My end result will never change, but the kindness and support these people have shown and their willingness to go at my pace, and explain things thoroughly, will never be forgotten. GOD!! If you EVER need to take a pet anywhere, go here. They are the best I’ve ever seen. Forget anywhere else!Let me mention this too, I AM NOT BEING PAID TO SAY THIS. It was my WORST nightmare..taking my 1st time Doberman mom to EAH for difficulty during whelp and ultimately an emergency C-section. From the moment they answered the phone, EVERYONE was extremely organzined and helpful! Their communication via text and phone was nothing short of REMARKABLE...keeping me informed of her progress and discussing options. Dr. Stephanie Wolffe was Willows primary doctor, along with Dr. Longcore, Dr. Brink and all the wonderful techs... THANK YOU!!!

I am only giving them 1 star due to the staff being nice.....if I could give none, I would. My husband took our dog here Friday night 10/1; Porcupine quills. After having my dog there for 14 hours and spending $1500; my dog is being sedated again today at our local vet to have numerous more quills either pulled or surgically removed. AEH informed us that he might have a couple retract out after a couple days....this is normal. However, we were pulling quills all weekend. It is clear he was thoroughly examined as he has now had at least 20 quills quills removed in the past 2 days. We understand that they are emergency hospital, however; with the time and money spent we think we should not be pulling this many out of him nor should he have to be sedated again to have more surgically removed.Would not recommend them for anything.

Thank you to the staff at AEH for taking such great care of Mr. Garcia. The wait time was insane, but understandable. We knew it would be a long wait, but the check in system was a brilliant idea. I allowed us to monitor our guy at home since his need was urgent but not an emergency. I expected the bill to be much higher so I was pleasantly surprised. I love the fact that Mr. Garcia was personally acknowledged for being a good boy on his discharge papers.Lastly, I want to acknowledge how very busy the staff is at AEH. I drive by on a daily basis and the lot is nearly always full. If you need urgent or emergency care be patient and understand that the staff is doing everything they can to see your pet.

My dog got into a Porcupine, it cost $550 to get them out. Have way home which I lived about an hour away. There was still some quills stuck in her leg. Very obvious, so on my back home I had to stop at my regular vet to have them pulled. Thank goodness, my vet didnt charge. Me.

Every staff member I spoke with during Leias stay was extremely kind and knowledgeable. From needing help with the online check in, to the many questions I had about Leias treatments, the staff was caring and always took the time to make sure I understood everything. I can only imagine how hard it is to be so patient and calm in such a hectic/fast/stressful work environment. Thank you to any staff member that reads this! Great experience!!! I came at 12:30 am with my cat with a severe allergy reaction from the rabies vaccine. she was having seizures, fever and she was having a hard time breathing. Everybody at the hospital was extremely helpful and understanding, they grab her a soon we got there even though they were really busy five minutes later they came out with the treatment that she needed to let me know and have her in observation 5 h till she completely recovered. Everybody was extremely sweet !!! I’ll recommend this place a 1,000 times!!!! Thank you so much to everyone at Animal emergency Hospital!!!! You guys are doing such a good job!!!

Wonderful staff and would even send me pictures of my baby while he was being hospitalized. I know he received the medical attention he needed and he was as comfortable as possible during his stay. All doctors were compassionate and did not rush you through any questions. Although I waited 8-9 hours to get him in initially, I am very glad I did. I recommend AEH! Thank you for taking the best care of my Bruno.

The staff was very nice, and the doctor explained everything to me. She was very nice also. They were very quick in getting Maggie in to see a doctor. I was very pleased with the Animal Emergency Hospital. I would recommend them to anyone.

They did a great job helping my dog! She had swallowed a toy and our vet was closed for the night. They communicated clearly about the procedure, time frame, and cost. They were very kind and took great care of Maple.

They where very friendly and took very good care of my cat. It was obvious that it was very busy day for them but they managed it well. They deserve more space and funding than they have. Veterinarian emergency doctors deserve more credit for taking care of the part of our family that we choose ; and cant do without. Thank you.

After my dog ingested poison, I rushed her to the emergency vet to be treated quickly. COVID protocol required that I hand her off. I waited 4 hours assuming she was being treated, only to then have a vet review her situation and get my consent for the treatment plan - (activated charcoal, anti-nausea, and fluids). 4 hours before they even took action while a neurotoxin hangs out in her system?! With a neurotoxin, wouldn’t you think she should have been treated sooner? Poisoning is a priority 1 according to their scale, yet they waited 4 hours to treat…negligence and poor communication.$300+ for wasting my time and neglecting my poisoned dog for 4 hours. Nice staff but in the future, I will be looking elsewhere.Update 7/20/21: Unfortunately I am still waiting for a response or call back. The direct number they provided me with for the office manager ended up being their main line. I do not complain publicly - (see other reviews for reference) - but I am extremely disappointed with how AEH handled this situation. This could have been a deadly error and it needs to be addressed and corrected so it does not happen again.

For the heavy rush, they got back to me relatively quick (within 3 hours) the vets were nice, the nurses cared. I felt like my pet was very loved and looked after while I was waiting for the information. And for an emergency hospitalization, it was in an affordable price range. Their communication was superb!

I appreciate the great staff at AEH that took care of and loved my cozmo in the unfortunate circumstance that I couldn’t be there to comfort him and love him.I’m glad to see him moving around a little easier with less pain and able to be more comfortable as he heals up. He’s a family member to myself and my two children and appreciate that he was taken care of with such importance! Thank you again!

My rabbit was feeling horrible, hadnt eaten or drank in over a day, and there were no vets around me that would see rabbits, or that would take her in. Thankfully, someone gave me the name of this hospital, and they took her in right away. They came up with a plan for her, gave her meds, fluids, and got her to eat. She wouldnt have made it if it werent for them. I want to say it was Dr. Brink that helped me. I have never had a vet spend so much time explaining anything to me. She took so much time out of her busy schedule to reassure me and help me understand what was going on. She is a highly intelligent vet, and such a kind and compassionate person! If this werent a hospital, I would love for her to be my regular vet! Every staff member I had an interaction with was so kind, you can tell they all genuinely care about the animals. I highly recommend this hospital if youre in a pinch and cant get to your regular vet! Thank you all for helping Thumper!

It was expensive, but worth it for our 9 year old fluffy friend. :) Her tummy is feeling much better after getting fluids in the office and the oral medicines we brought home.I said no to extras like blood tests, imaging, and injectable pain meds. Don’t be afraid to ask about the price. They were very helpful and understanding.

We were traveling through on vacation when our dog became ill. The clinic was very understanding and accommodating and they fit us in right away. Doctors were knowledgeable and reassuring and the entire staff was professional and helpful. Highly recommended for urgent care needs.

They were very good to my Luna, made her feel as comfortable as possible while she had her stay at the hospital. They did a really good job on her surgery, very thankful

My doggo got very sick over night with a stomach bug. We could tel he had a fever and was not himself. Called at 2 am to see if we should bring him in based on symptoms and were here by 3 am. They have an online system that you can put all your info in ahead of time! We waited about 20 minutes for an initial diagnosis, and then went home. He spent about 28 hours in their care, and I had the actual veterinarians calling and speaking with me, and was able to understand their triage process. When he was picked up we had a very detailed handout with everything he had been given and by whom, as well as what he had, and what meds he needed to continue. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Remember emergency care is expensive… but your pet is worth it!

Despite phone being down and COVID related inconveniences, this was an amazing experience. They took amazing care of my baby boy.

We were so worried about our cat after he got into a Lily plant! We took him to the Animal Emergency Hospital and they were able to take him in quickly. The communication and care we received were great! Thankfully in the end, our cat Piaget ended up being ok. He’s now back to his normal playful self. Thank you so much AEH for everything. You helped ease our worries during a stressful moment! ❤️

The vet & staff were amazing. The next day they answered concerns & reminded me of a return at no charge for office visit if needed. Though not bird specialists, the Bet was spot on with tests, treatment & medications. I will definitely use this service again should the occasion arise!

I was super happy with my experience on Sunday night! It took about 3 hours to hear from the vet but I felt completely confident in knowing that his case wasn’t the most emergent and I would hear back when they knew something. The Dr. called me and was very detailed in what she thought was going on and the next steps. She also continued to keep me updated over text. The checkout process was very simple and it was way cheaper than I expected! Dr. Grace was amazing!

Very compassionate and friendly. Took excellent care of my baby and kept us updated with progress and pictures! 5 stars all the way!! Thank you AEH!!!

Absolutely recommend this place for your furry family. They are so great with animals and humans the compassion and care that they put into every time. my Indica was there last night passed away today of cancer. They mad her comfortable and send her home so she can spend her last days with the people she called hers. Its a extremely sad day but I am great full and blessed to have these wonderful pet lovers that took care of her. Thank you guys again.

This facility did an amazing job taking care of my pet. I really appreciated how much time the veterinarian took with me to explain the findings and plan of care for my dog. The cost was fair and discharge paperwork was detailed. Fast and friendly service even in an emergency setting. Staff was professional and empathetic. I highly recommend!

Despite the reason having to go to the Animal ER hospital, the experience with the staff was pleasant and helpful! I never felt like I was left in the dark or wondering. They kept me informed- as best as they could, as much as they could. The price seemed high, but, I didnt exactly call around either.

Just moved here with no new vet yet due to COVID delays. Sudden urgent problem this week. Blue Pearl basically blewMe off. AEH had her in within two hours. Twelve hours later, urgent surgery and problem solved. I’d have been lost without AEH help.Update: my doggie was back to normal in 24 hours. Beautiful healing wound. OUTSTANDING CARE AT AEH.

A good place to take your pet for emergency care. From my visit their goal is to take care of Fido from initial visit to ready to go home condition. However, this can come with a great cost and options are not communicated for those that wish to provide at home care to make the cost reasonable.I brought my dog in for an intestinal blockage, this has happened before as she likes to play in the sand. Which she won’t be doing any more.We received the exact same treatment plan as a 24 hour vet in metro Detroit so knew they were spot on in diagnosis and treatment. However the cost of treatments and radiology beyond the initial ER visit are outrageous compared to my default 24 hour service provider in Detroit. 3 times as much!!!After initial diagnosis and treatment (shots) they wanted to keep her for observation and hydration. To save 1-2k$ Off their treatment and observation plan I opted to take her home and do it my self. 6 hours later the blockage passed and all was well.Had I not been down this road before with my pet I would have been out $2000 easily. I opted to take care of her and stopped at a third if that. I’ll reiterate same txt plan at my default 24 hour provider was $240 vs almost $700 here.You will receive good thorough care albeit at a hefty price. There’s a reason the advertisement on the front door is for a line of credit for veterinarian services.

No one wants to make the terrifying drive to the emergency pet hospital on a holiday weekend. But, here, they made it as easy as possible. They were patient, accommodating, kind, informative, and so professional. They were absolutely swamped but I have no doubt my cat got the best care while there. I cant say enough great things about this place.

My only complaint is that we dont live closer. They saved our dogs lives and were compassionate, patient, and swift. Thank you for the incredibly difficult work you do.

My feral kitten (Yip-Yip) had a dirty fish hook stuck in her gums and roof if her mouth, had facial swelling as well as a fever. I went to a well-known Emergency Animal Hospital in Grand Rapids Michigan and was told Id have to wait in their reception area or my car for 10 hours before a Vet would see my kitten. Frustrated after waiting 3 hours, I took my kitten to the Plainfield Animal Emergency Hospital, where I was greeted by friendly and competent staff who provided excellent veterinary surgical care to my kitten. She is happily back at home with her family, taking her prescriptions, and quickly recovering thanks to the excellent veterinary services she received at Plainfield Animal Emergency.

We had a wonderful experience with all of the staff at this hospital! Our dog got very sick on Wednesday afternoon and we were able to get him right in. The vet who called us explained everything so clearly, gave us options, and explained cost in detail. They were able to perform survey and save our dog! He is doing very well. The cost was also way less than quotes because his recovery went so well. We are so thankful to the entire staff at this hospital!

We had an episode with our young dog over the holiday weekend and I called the office to ask questions about what to do. Our dog was experiencing seizures that were not life threatening nor were they a trauma or emergency but still scary and she needed attention and the receptionist went over everything in great detail and answered questions regarding the care that we would receive. After registering through the portal we had our appointment to drop off our dog and from there we received updates about the course of treatment and how our dog was doing, including photos. The staff was fantastic and both Dr Leonard and Dr Brinks were very informative, kind and compassionate and extremely knowledgeable regarding the care of our beloved four legged family member. We are so very thankful they were there to help and although we hope we won’t need them in the future I wouldn’t hesitate to call their office again. Great job to all!

I would highly recommend this Emergency Vet. Would give 5 stars if the wait hadn’t been so long, but it was completely understandable as they had 10 animals waiting to be seen at 11:30 at night. Our dog stayed from 1:30am - 10:30am & communication with the veterinarian was great. She called us and talked with us at length about what she thinks may be going on & sent us home with medications that have now been helping our dog feel much better. She took the time to answer our questions which was so appreciated. All of the other employees we spoke with over the phone were very nice & helpful as well. I’m confident in their communication & skill level - would go here again in a heartbeat!

My 1 year old lab Ruby had an allergic reaction and woke up with a VERY swollen face- I called, they gave me the number to text to register. I quickly got a text back to ring the bell right away when we arrive ( It was an hour drive) I received a call in about 1/2 an hour after taking her in from the Dr. and she had been given medication already to help her. They kept her for awhile after that before they could discharge her which as a puppy mama is frustrating, but understandable. They did send me a picture and she did look a LOT better!! That picture was SO helpful! She was smiling and her tail was wagging lol. As I sat in the parking lot ( like I said I live far away ) I saw SO many emergency patients going in, so patience is a must as its an EXTREMLY busy place and life threatening things come first, as they should!Everyone was so nice! and I felt so comfortable with them taking care of my baby! I would not hesitate to go again ( hopefully it wont be needed! )

The staff is extremely caring! We had to bring our girl in last night for a dog bite near her eye. After she was examined, the veterinarian called us to explain the care she received. We were fortunate that our girl was going to be okay. Sweet Caroline was taken care of and loved by the staff.

It is never easy to take your pet to receive emergency care. We were greeted and signed in by Hanna. She was kind, thoughtful, and truly compassionate. Rylie was assigned to Dr. Rowland, who provided excellent care. She communicated test results and diagnosis in a professional, through and empathetic way. They deserve 10 stars!

This establishment is absolutely incredible. The staff was really understanding that my dog was being reactive because he was scared and in pain and instead of going right to sedation took the time to get to know him to help him feel comfortable and they got to experience how great he is. They keep great contact and are super patient and friendly with any questions. Dr. Brink is amazing and very kind, and they helped my dog with exactly what he needed.

When no one else could get Blaze in...Animal Emergency could. They were positive, reassuring, very kind to Blaze. They kept him for 12 hrs and updated me regularly.I was shocked at how inexpensive it was. It definitely would have cost me more at our regular vet.

Loved the online check-in process for getting in line to have my pet seen. Love the friendliness of the staff. Loved that mask guidelines were in place despite other patrons not following the request. Appreciate an emergency hospital that helps in situations like ours.

They dont answer their phones, they dont triage or contact you after you spend 30 minutes filling out the initial e-paperwork they require and text you. No return contact whatsoever. Wont waste my time here again.You couldnt identify me as a client because you never responded to our urgent need! We ended up going elsewhere.

My experience here was quite good! The text check in system is an easy option though I do think they could be a little bit clearer about time line up front. It’s an emergency vet so be ready to wait a few hours!! Other than that they were super sweet and accommodating. I didn’t respond to my text right away because it ended up coming in the middle of the night but when I brought my cat in a few hours later they still saw him right away. He is now recovering well and I’m thankful they were there to help him!

They were super responsive and helpful. My cat had a bladder infection and they did a great job explaining treatment and caring for her. The doctor and staff were incredibly helpful and very kind.

My poodle was hit by a car and was stunned and unable to walk on her right front paw. I took her to Animal Emergency Hospital and they observed her for 10 hours, did X-rays, and kept me informed of the situation while I waited from home. The staff and veterinarian were kind and informative. He wounds were closed. The veterinarian gave me a call, explained everything very well to me, and I picked her up. She was doing very well and has completely recovered. I was very happy with my service and recommend them highly.

I cannot possibly say enough good things and express my appreciation adequately. My beloved Cattle Dog, Huck, was the victim of a gunshot blast while on a hike. Calls to familiar vets went unanswered until I remembered the Emergency Vet…imagine my relief when, as I am carrying a 50 pound dog, holding pressure and trying to make calls as I struggle through the woods, I hear a voice!! Oh my God, a real person answered the phone! All I heard was “yes, we can help…how fast can you get here?” While I waited for the police, my daughter and son-in-law arrived at the trailhead to transport Huck. When they arrived at the hospital, a whole team was waiting to jump into action. My Son-in-law is a nurse and he said the level of care was equal to a human ER. At this writing, Huck is still hospitalized until he is stable enough to undergo orthopedic surgery to repair his shattered upper arm. I am so grateful to receive frequent photos, text updates & phone calls. The level of sincere compassion and love shown for my boy is making this horrific situation bearable. Thank you so very much Dr. Brink and staff (I wish I could remember all of your names, you are equally appreciated)!

I HAVE TO SAY THEY ARE GOOD PEOPLE AND QUICK ON THE DRAW, I LIVE 1 1/2 HOURS AWAY FROM THEM AND MY SWEET KITTY GOT IN SO QUICK I WAS JUST AMAZED. I CANT WAIT FOR THIS CORONA TO GET OVER BECAUSE THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAVE IS LEAVING MY BABY AND NOT ABLE TO GIVE HIM A KISS SO HE KNOWS I LOVE HIM AND HOPE HE GETS BETTER SOON. I WILL BE TELLING EVERYONE ABOUT YOU IF THEY HAVE AN EMERGENCY SINCE WHERE I LIVE THERE IS NO CENTER LIKE THIS.

It was 11 pm when we noticed that our rabbit was not eating, which is a very serious problem for rabbits. We arrived at Animal Emergency Hospital around midnight, and we were told that we could either wait in the parking lot or go home. We received a call at 4 am from Dr. Francis. She explained our options very clearly and was obviously very knowledgable about rabbits. She also gave us price estimates for both options. Our final bill ended up below the estimate. They gave her medications and we were able to pick her up shortly afterward. We were home and treating her before regular vet offices were open for the morning. We received clear instructions with her medications, including what time we were supposed to administer the next dose of each. She is still taking her medications, but is feeling much better. We are very grateful for Animal Emergency Hospital, Dr. Francis, and all the staff who cared for our girl.

The staff are wonderful with the patients! They have so many that come in at all different levels of care but take the time necessary for each pet and do their absolute best to provide total care plan options and information to the pet parent. Our baby girl corgi had eaten something way too fast and our vet was not able to get her in. AEH took her in, helped her with her pain, got her tummy calmed down, got her re-hydrated so she could get back to her loveable self! I love the team at AEH!

The office here doesn’t seem to know what they’re doing! They’re too worried about money and not enough about the animal. First I was told they needed a $500 deposit , then it changed to $2000. They were not upfront about the procedure, had to pry answers out of them. Then after having to put the cat down they tried to charge me for a second office call . I would give them no stars if it was possible!

My puppy was hit by a car and the recommendation by the staff was that I put her down. Instead I took her to Purdue University Small Animal Hospital and had surgery performed for half the cost quoted to me by the Animal Emergency Hospital. She has recovered nicely and Im looking forward to many happy years of companionship with her.Your staff needs to recommend Purdue and Michigan State Vet Hospitals as options for injured animals. They are government subsidized and the Vet students provide around the clock care.Your operation comes across as a money making enterprise and nothing more. I feel you dont really care about the animals.

Very busy, but for good reason. Professional, caring, kind, and knowledgeable. Good array of options for the level of care you want your pet to receive. Good itemized record of care on discharge, and you can call at any time during your pets stay to request and update.Depending on how busy they are, and the severity of your pets condition (they triage, of course) you may be looking at as much as an 8 hour wait. Definitely take a look at their website for advice on registering.

They did an amazing job. Love that they deal with exotic pets. We drove an hour and a half and had an amazing group of vets and assistants.

Thank-you for your fast action when we suspected our dog dug in the yard and ate mole poison. Your staff is very kind and our dog received excellent care. He is recovering and back to his crazy dog self.I gave 4 stars out of 5 because Animal Emergency Hospital was extremely busy and drop-off as well as the next day at pick-up, making the waits long. Perhaps increased staffing might help.

If I could give then 10 stars I would. They were beyond professional and compassionate. We were provided updates anytime we asked. They were very patient with us when we informed we would need some time to get a formal of payment together. We were texted pictures of our dog while he stayed overnight. They are the best.

I took my little dog in after she had several seizures. The check in process was really easy and everyone was so communicative the whole time. I was given several treatment options that took her safety and cost into consideration and let me know the pros and cons of each. Overall very happy with the treatment she received here!

It was insanely busy, be prepared to wait, but my kitten received the best possible care I could’ve hoped for. Every person I spoke to: amazing, caring, built for the job. My pet carrier was even lost for a bit but probably because I told them the wrong colors (my bad) and they still had the most pleasant disposition about the ordeal. 11/10 would emergency visit again, although I hope I never have to.

We had to get our old dog in for a lot of stiches quickly! They walked us through the process in a friendly, professional way. I never doubted that my Jasmine was in great hands! I talked with Dr. Francis about Jasmines status after I dropped her off, and they did surgery on her overnight and I picked her up the next day. They walked me through every step of the process. They were very busy, but I never felt that they were not taking great care of my girl!! Please do not hesitate to go to Animal Emergency Hospital on Plainfield Avenue in Grand Rapids with your pet!

They hardly answer the phone. I had to call 8 times, and get told we can see your animal in 8 hours. When you explain symptoms like vomiting, and diarrhea blood. You get told to keep him in a dark area and give him as little water as possible. They have such caring hearts. I understand they get busy, but when you go in, and wait because they talk more than anything actions speak louder than words. They do care to a certain extent that why I gave a 3 star review because they are trying to do what they can.

The care and compassion shown by the staff at AEH was wonderful. The vet quickly assessed my dogs post-op complications and sent us home with the needed medications. My only complaint was the 7 hour wait to be seen. It was a busy Sunday and there are only 2 animal emergency hospitals in the GR area. That being said, I was able to wait at home so it wasnt horrible.

My pup had an episode late at night and had no idea what was going on. They took care of him, gave him all the love, and even sent me pic of him. It was sweet. Thanks to everyone!

Very caring staff. They are attentive, patient and very caring towards you and your pet. My Snoopy had an accident and they responded quickly and professionally. Nothing but good to say about this place. Every single person I had contact with was super friendly and loved my baby boy as much as I do. I felt at ease with him being in their hands. First off I want to say thank you so very much for taking care of our pup we love him very much, first off he was very sick vomiting a lot and his condition got worse when we arrived at the hospital we waited for hour or longer for them to take him inside we once inside we had no idea what was happening with him we just waited outside for a update I understand there are very busy and this is normal for everyone. We never experienced an emergency before and were scared to death when they called they told us he needed surgery and we had to pay first and they quoted us 4000 dollars we thought he was going to die because we didnt have that much money. We told them we were unable to pay that much and we had to sign up for scratchpay that we didnt qualify for thank goodness we found someone to help us and the bill was paid thank goodness he started to improve and didnt need the surgery we stood for about 11 hours in the parking lot crying because we had no idea what was happening we ended up paying nearly 2000.00 a lot of people suggested that we were overcharged. We are very thankful for there help but the system needs to be fixed Please dont think that we are not thankful because we are.

I brought in my guinea pig because her breathing was terrible and she wasnt eating. They let me know up front that it would be some time before she was seen and theyd be in touch. I went ahead and authorized diagnostic testing, so when the vet called me she had already diagnosed her and had a treatment plan ready. Im so appreciative of how upfront the clinic was about the time and cost and the care they gave my piggy while she was there.

They were beyond helpful when my mastiff puppy accidentally got into rat poison at midnight on the weekend. They answered all my questions over the phone trying to help trouble shoot the problem and then took amazing care of my baby when I was beyond scared. I would 150% recommend you take your pet here in an emergency.

I called on a Saturday, completed all the online forms and was given the information that I would receive a text when it was my turn. I received the text within 30 minutes arrived 10 minutes later and my dog was brought in to have her vitals taken. The staff wanted to keep her in a kennel until she could be seen by a veterinarian which I refused as she is old and was very sick. We sat in the car for 3 hours in the parking lot with no contact from staff. I called again & was told it would be at least another 2 hours before she could possibly be seen. At that time, I called another Animal Hospital which gave me an appointment and was able to see her within 45 minutes of our arrival

I was blown away with exceptional professionalism and personal touch by them. Its an easy place to find and is very well ran. I would recommend them over and over.

AEH was absolutely amazing in handling my 13 yr old pup with level of care I truly appreciate!. They made my dog feel comfortable as well as me. The communication was great as we as the service I would highly recommend their services especially over the Blue Pearl who totally blew Mr and my pup off so shout out to AEH for having such an stellar establishment they truly rock

My 10 month pup was having an allergic reaction while we were driving to visit a friend. Her nose and eyes were swelling up. She was itching constantly. She didnt have respiratory compromise but decided to take her in to make sure it doesnt become more severe. It did take about 6 hours but understandable as they were very busy that evening. Cost was high which was also expected given it is an emergency hospital. However, long story short, my pup came out of the hospital looking and acting normal. Doctors and staff were courteous and explained medications/charges before administering it to my dog. Overall my experience was great.

These people are angels. Working tirelessly 24 hours a day. They are incredibly patient with frantic owners like me and gave wonderful care, regular updates and more. HIGHLY recommend this place.

We were on vacation and our cat got injured. No local vets were open for new clients so we called AEH. While it took a while to get in (4 hours) when they were able to see my cat they were so kind and went above and beyond to address all my concerns. Very pleased.

I havent personally been into the facility but I did call after hours to ask some questions about my two kittens. The person I spoke with on the phone was super helpful and eased a lot of my worries while also providing a lot of information. I didnt have to wait on hold and they were super friendly and understanding.

This was the first time coming to Animal Emergency Hospital or any ER for that matter for my dog.Animal Emergency Hospital did a great job taking my dogs health concerns seriously and acted quickly to eliminate a possible life threatening condition. They did a great job communicating and keeping me updated with my dog’s exam and status. Even though they were very busy that evening, all the staff, including the doctor, was very friendly and patient with my concerns with my dog.The doctor did a great job helping us understand what the best plan of action would be and what to look for when we go home. I also trusted the doctors professional evaluation and knowledge with my dogs physical condition.If we ever have an emergency again (I very much hope not), we will be back again for sure.

Great experience. Our dog got into a diaper and needed to be induced to vomit. It was such a a busy place but it only took about 1.5-2 hours total. Most importantly, the staff were amazing. I heard them speaking to a couple people who were having a much harder time with their pets and were so compassionate and kind. As they were with our trouble maker. Any emergency vet is expensive but I don’t feel it is unreasonable at all. Way less than blue pearl.

I recently took my puppy, Luna to the hospital because she wasn’t feeling well or being herself. They handled her very well despite her being super snappy towards the nurses but eventually they told me she made friends and I just knew they took care of her so well! She has Gastrointestinal Disease, so they gave her medications and she is feeling better by the day! Thank you so much for taking care of her and for listening well!
