Incredibly helpful dealership. On the drive to Grand Rapids from out East to visit family over the 4th holiday, we were in a car accident. Kook Toyota fit us in the same day I called to examine the car and run a diagnostic test on the airbags to ensure it was safe for us to drive back home. Mike in Service and Kevin in the Body Shop were very helpful and made us feel like local customers.

After figuring out what we wanted and in a market where vehicles are flying out of the lot, we knew we needed to act quickly. Walked into Kool to look at a specific Certified Used Sienna, ended up looking at another one and finding that it was a perfect fit for us! Adam Bock was our sales rep and was amazing to work with from start to finish! It was a no pressure buy, trust was a mutual feeling on both sides in the buying process and made purchasing our first vehicle from a bigger dealer, a breeze! When we started the search process we had started at Kool and became distracted by other potentials, Ken was our initial contact and he was also super helpful and welcoming! Went in to have a recall done and an oil change. Recall went pretty seamlessly until the check engine light came on a week later. Was overcharged for the oil change, but tried giving them the benefit of the doubt since prices can fluctuate depending on your location.Im now at a different dealership after finding out that they botched the recall and almost destroyed the fuel pump on my new car. Needless to say, I wont be back.

Both my parents purchased their cars here and highly recommended them. After searching online and even out of state, I was so happy to finally find the car I wanted right at their dealership! This was the absolute best experience Ive ever had purchasing a car.Tyler was super helpful and knowledgeable about the car I wanted to see (and ended up purchasing). DJ Howard is the guy you want to talk to in service. I was referred from an independent shop to Kool Toyota since my 02 4runner broke down on the way to ski trip in Cadillac, MI.DJ made the whole ski trip disaster to something unforgettable. I made a friend in a dealership (very uncommon in Chicago). His motto is Treat others as how youd like to be treated and he did just that plus an extra mile and a half!!! Got me a loaner for the day and since my car ended up having more issues, it had to stay, he gave me a ride to the airport after work!!!When I came the following couple days to pick up the car, he came back to work after his shift to take car of me!! Wow. Talk about commitment and work ethics.All in all, every update he gets about my car was directly texted (he even sends pictures). I know every update! He has a personal tour guide when he visits Chicago, thats for sure.DJ, I appreciate everything you do. Upper management definitely needs to hear this.

I was immediately greeted upon arrival by a very friendly gentleman that was more than happy to assist me.With the snow coming down, my car was pulled inside to swap out the headlight and I was treated like I was as valuable as a customer that was there to buy a new car.Their team went above and beyond to make sure a new bulb solved my problem. Got a new 2021 4Runner and could not be happier with the experience. Adam B. was as honest an straight forward as they get. They started to help with pricing the best they could with very little actual negotiating. I previously had a 2018 model and he still took the time to explain the new features, pair it with my phone for me,... he just made sure I was ready to leave without anything unanswered. The finance manager was super friendly and not pushy with anything. Could not have been more pleased with my overall experience.

Fair deals for a quality product.The Service Department is solid and gets the job done in a timely manner. Prices ranges are what you would expect from a dealership - but the repairs are done right the first time.Kudos to the financial department to find the best rates for car loans - I give them 5 stars for that.

I just bought a 2013 Camry from a private seller. Turns out it needed a new torque converter. The previous owners had some work done on it under warranty, but that was 80,000 miles ago, so I thought there was no way it would be covered again. Sarah called and told me that they knew it was the torque converter and said it would be covered under the warranty! I had never asked about it being under warranty, but she looked into it and got an answer any way. Thank you!

Went to Kool Toyota this morning because my battery had died when I was in FL. DJ Howard met me with a smile accessed my problem and informed me it would take about 45 - 60 minutes to get me back on the road. I appreciated his personal approach and quick response. About 20 minutes later he came into the waiting room and said the car was ready - DJ decided to change the battery himself which saved valuable time for me. My Toyota experience with DJ was remarkable- I’ve been with Toyota for over 30 years and rate this experience as one of the best - it sure will keep me coming back as long as DJ Howard is the service manager!

This place is a shell of what it used to be. I understand businesses lose people, but this place has new faces, in new roles every 6 months. I heard from one of the longer tenured employees “It is a new generation running things” which makes sense. I found it humorous when the employee rolled his eyes while telling me.I think new age corporate thinking has taken the place of good old fashion friendly service. Too bad!! This place used to be a nice antidote to FOX dealerships. Now it feels like one. No point in this old timer making the trip to NE part of town. I can save myself gas and get service at FOX on south end of town where I live

Dishonest service department. Called and scheduled an oil change. My new 2020 4Runner displayed an “Oil Maintenance required soon” on the message board. Got to my appointment and stated I was there for an oil change. Man said ok checked me in had me go and wait. Came back said it was all ready, I signed and left. Was filing the receipt the next day and there was no oil change preformed. Only a 1st ToyotaCare no cost service which included tire rotate and multi point inspection.NOT ONCE did anyone state the oil change did not or would not happen. They sent me on my way with a new oil change sticker and date and reset the message board. I have called to get clarification and no one will call me back - in hopes they forgot to give me a second receipt with the oil change information. I have no choice but to firmly believe it didn’t happen. I wasted a vacation day from work to get this taken care of and I was blindsided. Out of the 4 different people to help me (scheduler, man who checked me in, lady who drove off with my vehicle, and the cashier) nobody said a word about skipping the oil change. Disappointment is an understatement.Update: This service department is a scam. Once again had an uninformed employee states that the message center says “maintenance required soon”. Look at page 490 of the owners manual and tell me that again. Wait, I am sure they are informed... just trained to lie and manipulate the situation. Also had an employee state that the new sticker they put in the window with a date and mileage is for maintenance only, not an oil change. Even though the only reference on the sticker talks about using Toyota oil. I seriously wish I was making this up because it is that unbelievable. Stay clear of Kool Toyota if you want a honest and fair experience.Regardless if this oil change was covered with ToyotaCare I did not receive the service I scheduled. They reset the message board removing the oil maintenance required soon notice and put (what the common person would call) an oil change sticker in the window making it appear as an oil changed occurred. This entire situation was a fraudulent scam.

Have many company vehicles. Never know when they will be in to schedule oil changes. I used to be able to drop in when a vehicle was available and Mark would fit me in. Since his departure Its always several days to a week away for scheduling. Left there got right in at Kool Chevy no appointment! Done with Kool Toyota.

They didnt secure engine air filter properly which resulted in increase in engine noise when applying gas. See the attached picture that shows the exposed filter. Its good I found it otherwise it could have hurt my engine really bad. Im very disappointed with their carelessness. I also feel that they lied to me about carwash coupon and told me that I should do an oil change every 5k miles even though I use a fully synthetic. FYI, Toyota recommends 10k service for fully synthetic.If it was not for the air filter issue, Id have probably given a better rating. But Id never go there again.

Arrived on time for a recall on a Toyota Camry. I delayed the appointment so they could order the part for the recalled heated seat wire. Also, my air bag light was on. Two and one-half hours later I asked how long this was to take and I saw my vehicle sitting in a bay yet. They re-set the air bag light 2 1/2 hours earlier and just let me sit in the waiting area! And regarding the recalled heated seat wire.....they did not have it and needed to order! Never will return nor buy a vehicle at Kool

Bought my Toyota (Dave with the Calvary blue FJ) from them today! A blue FJ Cruiser! Adam Bock got it ready for me to pick up two days faster then we planned and was super helpful and honest every step of the way! I don’t think I will ever go any place else for vehicles from here on out. I went to Kool Toyota for an inspection after purchasing a 2004 Toyota Tundra, I was helped by the Assistant Service Manager Michael Edsenga. Even though my truck wasnt in the best shape I was notified of all the recalls I qualified for and threw upkeep I should look into having done. Kool Toyota did not try to sell me on unnecessary repairs. Michael communicated everything I needed and wanted to know about my truck in a very professional manner. The services I did get were done in a very timely manner.

0/10I brought my truck in to get my clutch replaced. After waiting one week without hearing from Kool Toyota I called the office multiple times and received no response. I decided to go in and check on the progress being made on my truck and it had not moved. When I asked what was going on I was told they were going to bring the truck in within the hour. I went back a week later it had not moved. After waiting a total of three weeks and being lied to I finally got my truck back.10/10 would NEVER recommend.

A lot of good people have come and gone from Kool’s service department over those years, but two things have remained constant: the quality of service rendered, and the presence of Sara Coughlin. That’s not a coincidence. Sara is a rare blend of personality and competence. She knows her job, and she does it extremely well. There are a lot of car companies making good products, and a lot of good salesmen selling them. What makes a buyer a long term customer of a dealership is the service department. Sara is the reason we don’t shop for cars.

DJ was very welcoming and to the point. I appreciated his upbeat attitude and knowledgeable service. I felt appreciated during my service visit and he made sure to go out of his way to inform me about all the details about my service. Wouldnt go anywhere else. Stellar and professional.

Sheila had researched what type of vehicle she wanted for the next. We had gone through a 2003 and a 2007 Chevrolet Impala after buying new the past 17 years. Both very good vehicles. Researching the Camry brought us to Kool Toyota. There we met John McCormack salesman. John was very pleasant and non pressure. There were two Camrys that could have been brothers, but the 2nd one we tested was so much better than the 1st.John fixed the 2 scratches that were on the passenger side, we offered what they were asking for and they delivered the Camry to our house in Plainwell.A very great buying experience for us and John. A good experience!After receiving less than satisfactory and even rude service at other Toyota dealers in western Michigan it was gratifying to find the service staff at Kool to be both helpful but also friendly. In addition to promptly performing the required service on my new Highlander they went the extra mile and provided a loaner for my wife and I to use.It is reassuring to experience what has become relatively rare in todays automobile service sector, efficiency and good customer service.

Took my 2020 4runner in for its first oil change. First time Ive ever been there as I bought it at another dealership. Great service. Good people and very friendly.

Brought my Toyota Prius in this morning. Made the appointment online and brought in the same day . They were able to accommodate my busy day with a loaner and the whole staff was really nice! I felt like my car was in good hands and that anything I needed was taken care of. I drove off the same day and my prius was like brand new again. More than adequate service! I brought my 2011 Sienna in last week for service. DJ, the Assistant Service Manager, waited on me. He was very friendly, went over my concerns, and told me what was recommended for my mileage to bring it up to date. He gave me his business card to call it I had any concerns. He promptly called me when they found another issue and even offered to send me a picture of what was wrong. They offered me a loner car so I could go to work. DJ provided excellent service which I appreciated very much!

We recently had an oil change and new tires on our Rav4. We were able to take advantage of the Buy 3 Get 1 Free tire offer. We appreciated the loaner and the free carwash. The inside dash area was also cleaned! Thank you.This winter our truck needed some repairs. The issues it was having were inconsistent and difficult to find, but the the Technicians persevered and found the problems and repaired them. During these visits to the service department, we were given loaner vehicles. The service department also worked with us on financing the cost of the repairs. Thank you very much Kool Toyota Service for keeping our vehicles running efficiently and safe!

I have three Toyota’s. Because of the horror stories I have read and heard, I was very hesitant to take my car to s dealership. I always went to a mechanic recommended by someone I knew. However, after getting my new (to me) 4Runner, I wanted to make sure everything is good so I took it to Kool Toyota. They have a great staff on the service side. Fast service and reasonable rates. I’m very please with the service I have received so far. Thanks you!Side Note: I would like to add a note to this. It’s regarding online scheduling. I scheduled my first service online. It was easy, however, I wish they would send a confirmation email or a text.

Ill never bring my vehicle for service to these dishonest sheisters again. I came in for my 30,000 mile vehicle maintenance whixh was just out the free care package and requested the factory recommended maintenance as outlined in my manual. Instead they sold me a fuel injection cleaning package, tire rotation, oil change and severe duty changing ofy crabk case even though i never towed a thing in my life. I asked repeatedly, this os whats needed? They said yes. Got home, and boy was I taken to the cleaners. I only needed a tire rotation and oil.change, and they didnt even rotate my tires which I had to turn around and go bacl for them to fix. Every time Ive called rarely does someone answer in their service department. Looks like theres no Toyota dealer worth anyones time in GR!

Ask for John McCormack! I had the best experience buying my Highlander today with help from John! He helped me find just the right one, was fun to work with, and I got a great deal. Finance Manager Ron DeBose took care of financing, and I selected a full coverage warranty, from Toyota, that will cover my Highlander for 8 MORE years / 100,000 MORE miles! Maybe salesperson thought “I got a woman - easy prey”. Came in for an oil change. Was told I also needed a taillight bulb and an air filter replaced. I agreed. I go to pay and it’s $120! I didn’t realize (not was told) in a million years that a bulb and air filter would be an add’l $70???? After stating how ridiculous, Toyota came down $20 🙄.
