I was really pleased with the service until I moved. The installation technician did not wear a mask in my home and brought mud on his shoes into my home. He called me to see if he could come and do the install and left a voicemail. When I called back he did not answer and there was no voicemail. I tried again a few minutes later and when he answered he was very rude. The install went fine. When I was charged for my bill, I was charged an extra $50. When I called I was told this is the moving charge. I spoke to two people at the office about my move and neither mentioned this fee AND the form the technician left behind did not mention a fee either. When I called to discuss this I was told “sorry. I don’t know who you spoke to, but this is what we always charge.” Any other company I have done business with would have done way more than a rude “sorry.” I am really disappointed and am going to take my service elsewhere.

Speeds much slower than advertised. I signed up for 50 MBPS and think I got that maybe twice, over 3 years. The latest slowdown was the last straw, as I have 2 kids at home (HS and MS) doing remote learning. Pathetically slow speeds just are not acceptable in the current pandemic situation. I was not reassured by the emails I received, essentially saying we dont know when this amazing system upgrade was going to be completed. So I jumped ship, to Rise broadband. Had them for about 3 weeks, and have been very happy with the speeds (as advertised, or better), and the price (about $20 cheaper per month).

I live in Whitewater. My speed in the evening is less than 1 Gigabyte. For the last 6 weeks I have called to get help and they say someone will call you back. No one has called me back until yesterday. They called me back and said they would get back to me after they figured out some issues. They never called back.I wouldn’t recommend using this company. Bad customer service and bad products.

When it works there product rivals spectrum. However there customer services and ability to fix issues is very limited it takes days to fix outages and customer service response is always we will look into it thanks for letting us know.... Have a good day then u never hear back from anyone. With there product being as good as it is I would give 5 stars however there ability to maintenance and customer service drop my opinion of the company drastically. So I give 2 stars

After months of frustration with HughesNet and poor signal, we switched yesterday to Optimus and it is awesome. We could barely get 1mbps download with HughesNet and could not stream any television or sports ... the constant buffering and resolution was terrible. The customer service at HughesNet was very good each and every time I called in. They just could not resolve the issue of poor signal. Optimus signal is pushing over 60 mbps for download and almost the same for upload! I am a happy camper ... I was able to watch NBA last night with excellent high resolution and no buffering. Met the owner of Optimus yesterday for the install, and he is very personable and knowledgeable, as is his team member that also was at the installation yesterday. Awesome choice to switch!!

Great small family ran and operated telecommunication company. No contracts makes this a great alternative to other internet providers.
