I have used this place twice now for an oil change because it’s close to my house. But, I am very disappointed with the service and will not be returning. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment (booked days in advance because they don’t take walk ins), they didn’t even have my name or information in their system. He fit me in anyways which was much appreciated, but I specifically asked that he be sure they turn off my light/sensor that alerts me I need oil (they did not turn it off after my previous oil change). After getting my car back, the sensor was not turned off and I will now need to return on another day after work to have them turn it off. No apologies were offered for their error or the inconvenience of having to go back. I was also annoyed by the extra $30 I was charged for a new filter without being asked or informed about it… Funny that they remember to charge me for a new filter without asking my permission, but they can’t even remember to turn off light saying “oil needed” after being reminded to do so. VERY poor customer service at this spot… Plenty of other places in the area that are much more reliable, timely, and trustworthy.

My 2019 Ram Promaster had a recall issue that the dealership that I bought it from was going to take 2 weeks to even look at. Dan and Ron got me towed that day and fixed the next. It would have been fixed the same day but they had to wait for parts delivery. Waiting the 2 weeks that the dealership suggested would have created a huge financial burden for my business. Thank you, Meineke, for your professionalism and timeliness.

Can’t beat the service at Meineke Gloucester. Dan is awesome; always explains what needs to be done to your vehicle and will take the time to show you the problem and what they will do to fix it. Ron is amazing; juggling the front desk customer service and mechanic in garage. All the while keeping a smile on his face and a great attitude— How he does it is beyond me. I’ve seen him maintain a sense of professionalism under the most trying circumstances with incessantly rude customers.

These guys were great.. They were able to fit me into a booked schedule for an emergency brake repair and they had my vehicle in and out in a very timely fashion. Highly recommend!

Meineke correctly solved my engine coolant leak problem by discovering the water pump for my engine was toast. The gasket holding the hose was worn and leaking. They were the only garage I found in Gloucester that would take me before the weekend. I made the appointment time in the afternoon and had my car ready early the next morning. I would have had my car back same day if they had been able to take it a little earlier. They confirmed the only reason check engine light came on was the engine overheating due to the leaks. Price estimate was within $10 of my normal guy who couldn’t take the car until the next week. I am relieved I avoided disaster and wasn’t without my car long

I came here for an oil change for the first time with Meineke and they took my car right in though they were already busy. They got it done quickly and the price was the lowest I’ve ever paid for an oil change, so that was a nice surprise, and I didn’t even use a coupon. They filled the air in my tires and did a brief systems check and found my brakes had about 15% left (I knew they needed to be done soon also). They gave me a quote for the brakes that also was super low compared to other competitors. It’s great they are able to do your service in one day, and you don’t need to leave your car for who knows how long until they get to it. Going back this week to get those taken care of too!

I got a flat tire on Saturday afternoon of the long Memorial Day weekend. It was at closing time for the Meineke workers, but they still helped me out with a good new tire at a good price. I am truly thankful for their assistance and excellent customer service.

I honestly cant recommend Meineke in good conscience. On two separate occasions with two separate cars, we just needed an oil change, and we ended up with broken components. The first time was a damaged oil pan. The second time the car would no longer start. Find an independent mechanic, even if its inconvenient. Theyll likely charge less and get it done correctly.Edit: Here are a few pictures of the work that Meineke did to one of our cars. Poor welding that was attempted to be covered up by putty, a practice Meineke deems standard for the last 30 years. This unacceptable behavior forced us to go back for a refund, which we were denied.To follow up with the reply this review got from Meineke management: I called the number you provided and got transferred to the customer service department. The woman I spoke with heard me out, and was kind and sympathetic to my situation. She said she was going to pass these experiences on to upper management, and that they would get back to me soon. Two weeks later and counting (9/4/2020 at the time of writing), and I have not heard a word from Meineke.A final (hilarious) note is that on the Gloucester Meineke review page, a favorable review from me has suddenly appeared. This is an old review from when I first got service from them about two years ago, back before they damaged my oil pan. My review was true for the way Meineke was back then, but clearly things have changed since then.

Dan and Ron are always so friendly. Though 4 new tires were an expense I didnt expect, they were quick and easy, in and out.

They have a coupon for oil changes just so you could go there and sure enough they have a huge fake list of things I need done. I was wondering why it took 45 mins for a basic oil change. My car had zero issues at all since having it 2018 and after I declined additional services my dashboard lights went on after leaving the place. Sure enough I found out they disconnected the air hose on the engine just so I can go back to get it “looked” at. Never again with this place. Luckily I popped the air hose back in and my cars computer is now cleared. Thanks for nada.

My sister and I work as DJs and had an event 2 hours away from where we live, and once we got to the venue I saw we had a flat tire. It was a Saturday, most places we closed and my dealership was far from helpful and we had no spare. I called Meineke team and told them my situation. Within 20 mins a tower made it to me and brought my car to the shop and my car was all set within an hour. I thought we were not going to make it home that night but the team at the Meineke in Gloucester Ma helped us back home! Thank you guys!

I had a pre-purchase inspection done here. It was extreemely thorough, and Dan at Meineke called with a very comprehensive overview of the findings. The seller brought the truck into the shop. Dan was very thorough in making sure I understood the vehicle I was purchasing, and made sure I had previously laid eyes on exterior damage on the truck. Usually the price for an oil change is good but this last time they charged $38 even though I used the $25 coupon directly from their website. Frustrating. 2009 Corolla, hardly an unusual car. So beware they may extra because your oil filter is “unusual”.

I needed new windshield wipers. The gentlemen who waited on me came out, looked at my car, and changed the wipers for me. He was polite, professional, and represented your company well.I will refer Meinke, and use your services for all of my auto needs moving forward. Thank you!

Replaced oil sensors. Car overheated on drive home and found stop leak in coolant. Charged an additional $500 that should have been covered by warrantee.

I use them exclusively for all my car needs. Friendly staff, Ron the manager is very knowledgeable, very helpful and I am never disappointed. They treat my car as if it is their own and they treat me as if I matter.

My son Noel had an appointment tonight at Meineke , under my suggestion to have his muffler and exhaust looked at for a leak . He was told that the muffler was disconnected and it would take two hours to repair and he would have to come back another time . They had his car in the garage for two hours and performed an oil change that he did not ask for or authorize. After being rudely ignored. They made him pay $85 for a service he did not want , nor could afford . He left with an oil change he was forced into , also a muffler that is still broken . I would not recommend using this shop again .

Great experience at Meineke, this is my 3rd time there. The man at the desk is SO nice and its comfortable inside, the price was very affordable and the work was done WAY faster than I expected. Next time I need work done I will definitely go to this same Meineke!

Went in worried about the brakes. They did a thorough check and said I didnt need brakes, but I did need ball joints and had a leaking differential seal. Not surprising since Im still driving a 2004 Lincoln Town Car, now with 145K miles.It is now much easier to handle and the problems I thought were brakes were probably related to the ball joints since they are basically gone.

Every time I come to Meinecke in Gloucester they are helpful, kind, and personable. They really go above and beyond to make your experience better. Car repairs can be a hassle and Meineke takes out a chunk of the stress. The only issue is sometimes the online scheduling does not show up on their system so calling is better for appointments in my experience.

This is the second time I have visited meineke in Gloucester. The first time a man named Henery help me and was friendly , sweet to my kids and very fast at fixing my car . The second time he wasnt there but I got the same treatment from the other staff. They didnt even mind me and my kids playing in the parking lot , drawing with chalk while we waited.

Gave these guys a shot to do some basic work and was very pleased with the help and timely scheduling of the repair. The way they dealt with the Customers that came and went while i was there seemed very straightforward and pleasant.In addition, I happened to forget my debit card at home and with a short exchange of info/id i was off to grab it to choke back and pay.
