I dropped off a chipped nakiri knife and a really dull kitchen knife. Steven sharpened both of them so well that I had to be careful from removing them from the paper sleeves because they were cutting through! He was really busy at his Pasadena location, but was super friendly and kind as we spoke without feeling like he was being rushed. Ive never sharpened my knives professionally before, but I will 100% be back to sharpen the rest of my kitchen knives :) thank you Steven!

First time taking my knife to Steven in Pasadena. My boyfriend found him on Instagram. The place we normally take it to at the mall went out of business. So its been a while since since we previously sharpened the knives.We didnt know you can drop it off and pick up later. So we did that. When hes done, he will text you to let you know. Felt bad for showing up with a bunch of kitchen knifes and all. He charges $1 per inch for other knives. The foldable ones, those are $5 flat rate.Overall, I think he did a pretty good job. I had a chip on the blade. I forgot to take before photos, but these are the after photos attached. Pretty sharp (obviously).This is a small business. So I highly encourage you to support him!

This was my first time sharpening my knives in a year and a half. Steven was professional and great at communicating throughout the whole process. I dropped a few knives off to him in these knife holders that he provided and he got them back to me the very next day! The knives cut better than they ever have and Im for sure coming back the next time Im in the area!

I get my kitchen knives sharpened every 6 months or so, but the business I frequented for years went out of business thanks to Covid. Its nearly impossible to find sharpening places. Then I found Steven and have been going to him since. He does a great job and hes fast, too. He took care of 8 knives in about an hour. His prices are slightly cheaper than where I used to go. I was referred by a good friend of mine and told told only Hes great, you have to go. So I stopped by the Toluca Lake Farmers market on a Sunday. Dropped of a full set of knives that I hadnt had sharpened professionally in a long time.He not only sharpened but also took care of a couple nicks and fixed a dulled point. My knives are better than new now. I highly suggest visiting. Steve is very nice, helpful and skilled.

I had my knives sharpened for the first time ever yesterday. Steven was super nice and did a great job sharpening my knife block. Turnaround time was about two hours, which I was very happy with. Ill use Steven again next time I need my knives sharpened.

I asked the guy to sharpen my damask steel knife, and he did terrific job. Now I always call him to find out where he works this day and go there. Hope he will work in this area for a long time.

This one-man set up is easy to find with a large sign posted on the corner (much appreciated). There was a little bit of a queue with a couple orders in front of me, but I ran an errand and my knives were done by the time I was driving back by. I chopped an apple when I got home (had to test the new blades out, ya know?) and they are indeed sharper than when I handed them over.The cost is fair, the job was quick and well done so that warrants 5 stars from me!

Steven did a great job on my knives! I brought him a bunch of serrated knives that were long overdue for a sharpening, as well as an old fishing knife with a few notches in the blade. He reshaped the edge of the fishing knife, and sharpened all the blades so they are like new again. Dropped them off with him and picked them up 2-3 hours later. Very happy! Would definitely recommend!

Today was my first time visiting the LA Knife Sharpening location in Pasadena (1717 E Washington Blvd., Pasadena open Tuesdays 9am-2pm).Great service at a great price! I brought five knives of varying sizes and steel quality. The tech was able to sharpen them all to razor sharpness, even a modified chef knife with a half serrated/half straight edge blade.The process took about 15 minutes. Definitely worth the cost of the service! Looking forward to the additional years I have added to my knives because of this sharpening.

A couple years back I ordered a set what was purported to be a higher end kitchen knives. They were never as sharp as I had hoped and have, obviously, declined in sharpness since. I have tried to use a whetstone myself on several occasions with only mediocre success. I found LA Knife Sharpening and they were very responsive via messaging and I found them at their Saturday posting up in La Crescenta. He did an amazing job and they seem sharper than the day I got them! Pricing is competitive and I would definitely take them back.

We took our knives to one of Steven’s outdoor pop-up events in La Crescenta. Dropped off the knives in a safe and organized way, left them there for a couple of hours, got a text from him that they were ready, and went back to collect them. Steven is a real craftsman at his trade. We discussed the job on the phone and he gave me a cost estimate. He came to my home wearing a protective face mask in Glendale promptly at 9:00am to pick-up all the kitchen knives, steak knives, and scissors... then returned them promptly at 4:00pm. This man is a Godsend. Instead of having to lug my large set of knives downtown, carrying them through the streets of L.A., I had only to go to my nearby farmers market (Toluca Lake,) find a breakfast spot for about an hour, then retrieve the knives, razor sharp, at the cost of $1.00 per inch. I am a stickler for follow through and Steven is conscientious and delivers on promises, reminders and his work is outstanding.I brought him a Shun knife where the tip had rusted off (my bad) and was nicked at the bottom end. He reshaped the knife very nicely. I had forgotten how sharp it can be and my next slicing and chopping task was like butter!I am glad I trusted him with my Shun and a Global knife!
