If youre hoping to get natural looking highlights (i.e., sombre and/or balayage), then I do not believe that this is the right place for you. I used to have healthy brown hair that I wanted to add some dimension to. I was so excited to get it done for a night out with my girls. I was so clear in describing what I wanted to the hairdresser natural looking highlights that DONT start at the roots AND blend in nicely with my hair. A color that matches my skin tone. I was honestly so dissapointed with the results (see attached picture). It was anything but what I had specifically asked for. The hairdresser herself looked at my hair and said Well, that doesnt look very natural with a smile as if it were funny. I asked her to have it fixed and all she did was wash my hair with a toner that ended up looking somewhat orangish. I asked her to have my roots fixed but she said shed have to charge extra for that. It was honestly so dissapointing because I already paid around a 100 dollars for what youre seeing in the picture and I did not get my moneys worth. I dont like my hair and neither does my family and friends.P.S. I guess the most dissapointing part of this experience is that the hairdresser didnt seem to mind having me walk out of their salon looking like this. Hairstyling is an art and youre supposed to make sure that everyone walks out of your place looking like a masterpiece.

Candice was a wonderful find for myself and my recently hospitalized mother. Super clean store, upbeat personnel who _listen_ to how you want your hair! So nice.

I went and got a haircut last week and it looked amazing from the back. But when It layed on my shoulders it was uneven. I didnt realize until I got home later that day. I went in this week to get it fixed and they did fix it. However I also got my hair dyed and it was supposed to be a purple ombre. Now let me tell you, my hair does NOT look bad, however you can not see the purple at all and it looks red/burgundy in pictures. I was upset so when they were done I just paid and left. (Im not a confrontational person)..

I went in to have my hair colored. I have very hard to cover grey hair on my temples & my stylist Candice recommended the perfect color to complement my natural hair color. Will definitely return & recommend this Salon to my friends.

10/10 would recommend this salon, specifically Joie! She has a way with hair that can only be described as magical. I made the mistake of going elsewhere when she was booked full and the stylist I saw DESTROYED my hair. Luckily I was able to get in with Joie and she literally preformed a miracle and saved my trashed tresses.

I made the mistake of trying to do my own “box highlights” and Candice came to my rescue and fixed my orange hair immediately. Staff is friendly and kind and I am always happy with the outcome there!

It’s so hard to find people that can handle my hair because it’s thick and dry but they did an awesome Job very detail and wonderful customer service.

I was there yesterday for a haircut. Precious was the stylist that cut my hair. With this being my first time there she just made my experience very pleasurable. She sat me down I knew what I wanted but didn’t know how to articulate it and she just cut it beautifully. I will definitely be back for my future haircuts with her.

RedeemedA few years ago I was introduced to Cost Cutters West Allis and Glendale. I was pleasantly surprised that cost cutters not only could do a great press on my hair but they could do natural styles as well. As time went on and staff changed, it seemed that my hair became a problem. 1st offense I was getting charged more for my texture. 2nd offense no one could do natural styling anymore. 3rd offense even when agreeing to get a straightened style, stylists refused to do my hair saying they didnt have time or plainly didnt know how. WOW seemed like I was dealing with a new company. I was upset! Why was Cost Cutters discriminatory against my hair. Well Nicole at Glendale saved this post from being a 1 star. She gave exceptional service. I witnessed her help all her coworkers, keep her work station clean, and she handled me with the care I deserve. Please let Nicole at Glendale be your standard. If a stylist cant do ALL hair in your establishment then they shouldnt do any hair. Thanks Nicole! Ill be back and tell my friends. You saved your organization today.

WROST PLACE EVER! got my hair dyed here and ever since my hair been breaking off bad no matter what expensive hair products I use I will never in life step foot in cross cutter it was my first time and i had a very bad experience I wish I never went here the biggest regret of my life is letting cross cutters playing in my head! Y’all need new workers are something then when getting my hair dyed my head was burning that’s not post to happen y’all need to get it together I’ll never spend another dime with y’all again n when I called to tell them they wouldn’t let me talk to the manager

In 2014 this salon was acquired by Signature Two Company. It was renovated with state-of-the-art equipment. New management guides this salon assuring each stylist has over 2000 hours of training. I received a lot of compliments on my most recent color and cut done by April. Mostly, I appreciate that this business is now locally owned and operated.

I had a great time and all I got was a haircut

Horrible experience. Asked for a pixie cut, sides cut into a v, back tapered. I got one side shaved, back shaved, a lot of mousse, 20 minutes under the dryer and then a conversation about how I wanted my hair styled. I told her several times what I wanted and was completely ignored. Horrible experience, left with no hair style and not much hair!

We rarely have to wait long. We have had multiple stylist. They all do a great job cutting hair!

Ray Charles could do a better job!Been here twice to get a buzz cut. Botched it both times. Who messes up a buzz cut? Cost cutters in Glendale does, that’s who.I get home and have to clean up my buzz with a beard trimmer because there are numerous long hairs. And this is after I had her re-buzz some hairs while I was there.There’s more - she didn’t even clean up my neck under the neck paper. It’s as if she was trying to do as little work as possible. Great staff. Not going back

Got a great haircut from Candice!

It was okay, they cut my hair shorter than I wanted it, but I also wasnt very specific about the way I wanted it cut. So I blame myself as it partially being my fault. The first side that they cut was my left, ( meaning they started cutting my hair on the left side) they cut it a perfect length and I really liked it at first, they then got around to my right side and it was about a half an inch shorter than my left side. They then fixed it and it is now even, but it is shorter than I wanted it to be. The girl that cut my hair was very, very nice to me, her name was Qua. I have went to this Cost Cutters previous times and loved my hair after. Qua was very nice and cut my hair fairly well, I would recommend going there, and also recommend having Qua cut your hair.

When I called to make an appt and reception found out my birthday was coming up, she was more excited than I was! The fun came when I walked in the door and gave her my name. Instantly they welcomed me with open arms, and remembered my birthday. They were very attentive and listened to every word I said in terms of my hair color, cut, and style. Everyone was so nice and professional! I will be coming back! Thank you ladies for helping me reinvent me! (They know what Im talking about) LOLLOL!!!

Came in for a haircut, needed something cute and short. Took an idea picture in for suggestions. Shonta not only gave me a great cut, but we upgraded to high lights, low lights, brows, and a blow out! Absolutely loved it! I have received so many compliments, she nailed it.

Nice place, friendly staff. Went in the evening, and got a walk-in appointment immediately. I didnt know exactly what kind of haircut I wanted, except shorter. She was very friendly about it, and helped me out. I love the haircut I ended up with.

My son had his hair cut there today and it is the absolute worst! Super short and crooked bangs, trimmed very close to his hair line. No style to it, just chopped. It looks like a home made haircut, and not in a good way. Itsa total mess and unfixable... Will just have to let it grow out. Just in time for the holidays. Avoid at all costs!!ETA -- the manager offered to fix the haircut and refunded the money we paid. They did try to make it right.

Came in for a blonde highlight touch up. Highlights were orange instead of blonde. After two color corrections my hair was dyed yellow! Complained to the owner and he gave me a partial refund and had someone “fix” my hair. They toned my hair brown, my original hair color, and put in brown lowlights. Walked out looking better than when I went in as long as my hair was down. Stylists were very nice as friendly but the next day I put my hair in a pony tail and my hair was still dyed yellow, you could not see the lowlights and the back of my head is my natural brown with my original highlights. It looked HORRIBLE!! I have to wear my hair in a ponytail for work.Contacted the owner to let him know this and that I was still upset. He never responded showing me he could have cared less. Very unhappy customer who has to wear hats to cover up this stores mistake! I’m am embarrassed to show my hair and traumatized by this experience!

First let me say thanks to Vera and Bri both need a raise or a appreciation day for them both. First let me start with the bad part i spoke with April the district manager about cutting my hair we had conflict on days and times. April told me she would call me right back never got a call back but i remember April stating she would be at the miller prkwy office on Wednesday so i took off work called the salon and was told April would not be in until saturday so i called the Waukesha office were April said she would be that after noon i was told by a very rude team member that April never comes to that location , so I called the glendale location at 9:19 AM guess who answers the phone April cost cutter must have caller ID because when April picked up the phone she said let me call you right back Marqueta no call back so i called at 10am and Vera answered and said April is not in me knowing I just spoke to April 30 minutes ago I was angry because not only had i took off work i had called and spoke to April twice and promised a called back to no return. I took my frustration out on Vera but i must say she never got loud angry or rude she was very understanding and tried to diffuse the situation this is where Bri steps in who has done my hair before but i didnt know she was back working at cost cutters. Vera stated she looked in the system and saw that bri had did my hair before and bri was willing to do my hair. Im very big on teamwork as myself I am a manager and i must say these ladies was a team and did a awesome job on satisfying a customer who said i wont be back to cost cutters which i believe ive being going to cost cutters for about four yrs. Cost cutters was about to lose a dedicated customer over communication/customer service which no where no how would be tolerated when it comes to management my biggest thing is dont do anything you would not allow your employee to do if you are a manager a district manager or a team member remember that me as a paying customer is what make your company. And this is to you Dave because i did ask who the owner was if your manager is not doing her job how do you expect your employees too. Just a word of advice. And to Bri and Vera once again thanks for being dedicated to cost cutters if you dont hear from your management or anyone else just know job well done. My team tells me Im the first manager that has ever praised them on what they have done whether its right or wrong everyone is human and make mistake but when when you in the type of business as cost cutter just no with out customers or customer service there is no cost cutters. Good luck and again thanks Bri for rocking my hair and Vera for using your customer service skills. And yes i am a review queen and remember someone is always looking or listening. First impression is your only impression. Also I will address this I have being going to cost cutters over three years, and when I usually come to cost cutters its usually packed the place was completely empty me and another young lady I wonder why?
