This was my first time at Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital. I made an appointment because I was worried about my dog and my normal vet had nothing open until the end of the month. Needless to say, if Im concerned, I dont want to wait two weeks. Dr. Manna saw me within a day and she was a very good Doctor. She was gentle with my dog even though the area she had to poke was very sensitive. Dr. Manna let me hold my dog while she did the work. I am a dog trainer and my dogs are very comfortable with me handling them. Although the results were inconclusive, my dog is okay and Dr. Manna was able to ease my mind a bit. I will be back again.
Dr. Meals and team were absolutely wonderful while caring for my old pupper, Aussie, who was suddenly struck with vestibular syndrome. They did well in keeping him calm, as well as me (very nervous dog mama). Plus, ongoing communication was fantastic throughout. Truly an animal hospital that loves our companions like their own.

We just switched here with our two dogs and we’re already big fans. Our dogs are antsy and anxious so the dr immediately offered to prepare the vaccines in the back and bring them in to the room to administer.Staff is great as well, our dogs barked theirs heads off at the poor vet tech that came in because they don’t love men but after I took a second to calm them down, they did great with him too. Office staff got the appointment set right away and do a great job getting you checked in and out efficiently.We’ll be back with the stinky dogs. And I’ll be giving you a call about the gaggle of cats we will need to switch as well.

My family used this vet as far back as I can remember...We switched when a new place opened closer to home, only to come back to Glen Ellyn after only 2 appointments at the other place.They are so good at what they do, they actually CARE about your pet, and to top it off theyre even reasonably priced!!!We love Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital.
Best animal hospital out there. My family has been bringing pets for several generations. Even my grandparents used to bring there dogs here. Top notch, expert care. They also have the best groomers you can find. No matter how far I live, Ill always bring my pets here.
This is the last time I am letting them take my money. They billed me $200 for 1 stitch! ONE! They are over priced and it shows. I am never going back to them. It is sad how they think its ok to have these ridiculously high prices.
Please read before considering this vet.My parents have been taking their dogs here for quite a while--They have taken all of our last three dogs here. Recently, my dad took his dog there to address a limp that my dog had. Knowing his dog, he knew something was wrong. The doctor claimed that nothing was wrong (they didnt even x-ray her). At the end of the visit, he paid almost 200 dollars just for some pain killers. A couple weeks later, nothing changed, he went back- they finally decided to X-ray her and NUMEROUS test, and when it was all said and done, they said it was a partial tear. In the end, he paid 300 dollars for more medicine and the guidance to have her rest.My dad followed that order strictly. Then, my parents dog stopped using the leg (About 2 weeks later). My dad called again and after this visit they said ends up having MAJOR knee surgery and it was not just a partial tear at all.My dad was mad, naturally, because they waited so long to suggest surgery. So long, that now on top of the hundreds of dollars already spent, they only now suggest surgery...which could have been the solution since the first/second visit.My dad asked to talk to the owner. The owner, on the phone, revealed that the doctor (who told my dad she would do surgery) is not, at all, qualified to do the surgery--which infuriated him even more. Why would a doctor suggest performing a surgery she did not have the qualifications to do? The owner had no idea why the doctor would even suggest doing it.This place seems like a big mess with lack of communication and money centered thinking. Other review sources for this vet repeat the same messages. It worries me that the owner does not oversee what the doctors are doing. Although loyal patients for 8+ years, my parents THANKFULLY will never ever go there again.

Our dogs have been going to GEAH for a few years now. I love their staff. They are a very friendly and caring crew. Boarded our dogs multiple times there and they always came out so happy. Definitely recommend!
The vets are friendly the staff is friendly, they explain everything clearly, prices are good. I absolutely love this place. They treat my puppy so well. Only place I go to. Theres several animal hospitals around me, but I dont mind taking the extra drive. I recommend this place

My pup (and best friend) started hacking/coughing very badly and frequently during the night. Concerned, I began my midnight quest to find a reputable Vet (something I shouldve done long ago). After reading countless heartbreaking reviews for 24hr Emergency Vets in the area - I grew very, very weary about dropping my little peanut off in the middle of the night to a place that Kevorkian himself would cringe at. I finally found relief when I stumbled across Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital. They were the only local facility with a good reputation that was open on a Sunday. I called first thing in the morning when my dog started hacking severly again. Many concerns were going through my mind.. Is my pup at immediate risk? Was I going to be able to get an appointment? Will the staff be overwhelmed or insensitive? What will happen if I drop my dog off? Will I be buried in bills? Almost immedietly my call was answered. The receptionist was very kind and could hear my stress and the dog hacking away in the background. She confirmed with me whether or not the dog was able to breathe and not in serious discomfort to determine if the situation was an emergency or if an appointment would be appropriate. She was able to get me in just a couple hours later and was very informative. She ended up answering all the questions i had without me having to ask and was up front with cost of the visit plus possible cost of meds if needed. After arriving and calling to check in, I was able to walk right in, where I was directed right past the waiting room and straight to an exam room [during COVID]. Dr. Meals was compassionate and informative. She took the time to answer all questions and address any concerns I had and she didnt try to push any unnecessary services. She was clear on her diagnosis and treatment explaining how/why. We were done in an hour and I walked out feeling reassured that my dog will make a full recovery. Cost of service and medication was affordable. Thank you Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital Staff. Glad to know my best friend will be in good hands anytime shes in need of a check-up!
Staff are very friendly and professional. They always show concern for the animals they tend to. We experienced first hand their compassion recently when we had to put our dog to sleep due to a serious illness. They didnt rush us to make a decision on what to do and they let us take all the time we needed after putting Lily to sleep. Afterwards we received a card from the staff expressing their sympathy. It was very surprising and heartwarming to receive the card. When the time comes to get another dog we will definitely be returning to Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital.
Told me fecal exam was includes go back with sample want money. Tell me vaccine is $34 which is a 2 part vaccine...wrote down vaccine was $34 went back for booster wanted another 34. All they want has money never examined my dog spent more time feeding her treats amd brushing off my questions then looking at my dog. Going elsewhere where they actually care.
I had an emergency with one of my cats and my regular vet’s office closes at 5pm so I was frantically looking for somewhere that was open. Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital was able to fit me in right away. They could see I was visibly upset about my cat’s status and were extremely caring and attentive (the WHOLE staff). They did not try to up sell me and they gave me multiple options for treatment. I am just very impressed with this office and will 100% be coming back.
Our poor Otto has something that doesnt look good on his ear and they are open late. I was able to run him in after I got off the train and have Dr. Bauer take a look at him. Think he got it from a kitten we just adopted so glad she could see him so it doesnt go back & forth. So glad they were open later so I was able to run him in!
I am currently looking for a completely different vet. Dr Manna has consistently been uncompassionate in her bedside manner, very tardy in follow-up to procedures and x-rays, and not filling prescriptions as shes said she would. Every encounter I have had with her, has unfortunately left a very bad impression with me, and I am finally looking for a new vet altogether.
LOVE this place. We take both our dogs here. The staff is super friendly and caring, the prices are always reasonable, and they take walk-ins with no extra charge. What more could you ask for?
Dr. Smedegard was really sweet and genuinely cared about my cat! She called to check up on him and answered all my questions about his care.
Topnotch Care at a fair price. ive been using their services for over 12 years for my Lab dog. All Doctors and staff have always been so kind and caring!
I called to set up an appointment for my new puppy and the woman who answered the phone took my information and told me a practice manager has to call me back to set up an appointment!? Why are you answering the phone if you dont know how to make an appointment for a new client?! And to make matters worse NO ONE called me back to set up an appointment!!! I called on a Saturday and its now Tuesday, and I never heard anything back from them!!! Dont waste your time waiting for them to call you back because clearly they dont!!!

We were new patients and they were able to get us in same day. The dr. was amazing and patient and everyone in the office was very kind and attentive. They knew our budget upfront and stayed well within it. We came and saw them when our regular vet couldnt fit us in for weeks. This may very well be our new office for all of our future needs. All of the spaces in the office and in the rooms were also very clean.
I am a new dog owner. I have owned a dog in the past but it was years ago. I needed help with recommended shots, food, obedience training, etc. While I needed advice, I didnt want to go overboard. GE Animal Hospital staff was helpful, patient, and understanding. Prices are reasonable and the staff is caring.
Overall, the staff was great and very friendly. My major complaint though is that I brought my dog in with an apparent skin infection. I was told it was puppy acne and my dog was prescribed medication. Several weeks later when it continued to get worse, we went back. I asked if it could potentially be hives or ringworm. I was told, no, it was just puppy acne and was given a stronger prescription for my dog. A few weeks later, the infection continued to get worse and after being told by a groomer that it did not look like puppy acne and that I should have it checked out again, I made the decision to try a different vet that had been recommended by a woman in my neighborhood. He was very accommodating and let me bring in my dog immediately. He looked at my dog and said, it looks like mites! Turns out, testing for mites is very easy and quick. He did the test, and sure enough, my dog was suffering from a mites infection that by this point had spread down his body. Because it had spread so much, a topical medication that is typically used would not cut it and he had to undergo a month and a half of oral medication to finally get it to go away. Unfortunately, the whole situation put a sour taste in my mouth and upset me that 1.) I paid for two vet visits plus medication for my dog for a problem he didnt have, and 2.) the vet we saw at Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital didnt even bother to test for anything despite the infection obviously getting worse and me even trying to suggest that it could have been another type of infection than just puppy acne. (Even IF it had just been puppy acne, doing simple tests like the one the new vet did, would have helped put my mind at ease.) We have since returned to Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital but only because we already had my puppys neuter scheduled and paid for. From now on, however, we will likely not be returning and will be continuing to go to our new vet.
Our pups dont see a Vet at every visit. Our old Vet that we use to go with our dog before he died saw our dog at every visit. He even got know him. I believe the charges are high as well.
I cant say enough about this place. They saved my Rottweiler puppies life when she was only about 12 weeks old. She was diagnosed with severe pnuemonia and had barely 2-3 days left in her. I know its their job to take care of animals, but they did it with such compassion and kindness that theyll always be my favorite vet. Unfortunately I live 2 1/2 hours away so I cant make them my primary vet but if I were closer, they would definitely be my go to. I must have called what felt like 100 times a day checking on my puppy when she was admitted and they never once made me feel like I was annoying them or bothering them. They were always ready and willing to tell me what the plan was for my girl that day whether it be the nebulizer or IVs or blood work. They even gave her a bath before I came to pick her up! Hands down the BEST VET office Ive ever experienced.
They made us feel like they really cared about our sick animals. A Great place.
The prices are fair, the people are friendly, its very clean, and they are great with the animals and very helpful. I almost lost my cat and it was hard, Dr. Bauer was so sweet and told me I can talk to her if I need. Every Dr. there is helpful and kind I highly recommend this vet office!
Hands down the best vet weve ever had. Friendly, well run, fairly priced. The entire staff cares deeply about their animal patients and their families. Twice my boy has had to go under anesthesia, and each time theyve texted me a photo of him right after. Id have to move pretty dang far away to stop coming here.
We have been taking our two dogs and two cats here for about eight years. The vets, techs, and front desk staff are always friendly and empathetic. The vets genuinely care about animals and give an honest appraisal of any issues with your pet. Our previous dog was diagnosed with mouth cancer, and at diagnosis he had about two months to live. He ended up living a happy nine months before we had to put him down, and I fully believe that the compassionate vet care offered here helped to lengthen his life. We also have our animals groomed here and have always been satisfied with how they come out. Prices are reasonable and they can always fit us in for routine appointments or emergencies.
Dr. Jeremy Bushias Falsified our dogs health exam records. Dr. Bushias reported that our dog had an umbilical hernia which had been repaired. After we took our dog to a second veterinarian, this exam showed that no umbilical hernia repair had been done. Glen Ellyn animal hospital claims to have examined our dog twice but the second examination report was a photocopy of the first and all they did was change the date. These dirtbags are in cahoots with Petland Bolingbrook.
I have gone to them for grooming, boarding, and veterinary care. They are amazing in all areas. I didnt expect the grooming to be their area of expertise but it was the best trim Ive ever seen on my dog. They did exactly what I wanted. They are always amazingly friendly and loving to my pet.
We have brought our dogs to this clinic for several years and the service has steadily gone downhill. Unless you can get in to see Dr. Buishas, don’t bother. The last time we were there, the vet assistant informed us that we would need to muzzle our dog. While we did, the vet assistant literally hid behind the door. When the two assistants came in to administer the vaccines, my husband was holding our dog’s head and he was calm, even with a muzzle on. The dog remained calm until the second vet assistant started whacking him roughly on the head while the shots were being given. When our dog then became agitated, my husband had to ask her three times to stop hitting the dog’s head. These two were at best inept, and clearly afraid of large dogs. If you are afraid of dogs, this may not be your line of work. We will not be back.
Went in to Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital without an appointment after my groomer found a very large tumor on my 14.5 yr old Maltese. We saw Dr Manna. I was so impressed with her compassion and honesty regarding my beloved dogs treatment.I have always been leary and cautious of expensive over treatment and services from many Vet Hospitals, but Dr Manna has dispelled any fears I may have had.I highly reccommend Dr Manna for the care of your beloved pet!
In September 2016, my English Bulldog swallowed a few things he shouldnt have, and he almost died. Dr. Klazura did everything she could to make sure he was fine. He was there for 3 days and they updated us 3 times a day until he came home. I highly recommend taking your animals here because you know that they will be treated like family.
I love this vet! The girls at the front desk and friendly and helpful. All the vets are great. I can get in whenever I need to. I will never switch anywhere else!As to other reviews.. They are in the medical business and I understand that something COULD go wrong with one of my pets at some point- reactions to vaccines/medicines/etc. just like with my own children and thats not my pediatricians fault and YES I would pay for the care that resulted from a reaction, too.As far as the woman boarding post-surgery... how could they know if your pet was getting at stitches? They are running a business. A pet should be home with its family to recover after a surgery, not hearing all the scary noises of an animal hospital.
Weve always had a good experience bringing our puppy here. We bought our puppy from Furry Babies and this is one of the vets they have an agreement with to cover the initial vet costs and such up to a year old, and although its a bit of a cruise from where we live, hes had nothing but excellent care and the staff is very friendly and knowledgable. Definitely worth the drive out when we know he will be well taken care of.
Theyre good with pets, being patient with them while giving them their treatment. Since my husband and I got our dog weve been taking him to this hospital and havent any complaint about the staff or the doctors. The prices, in the other hand, are so so but its ok as long as we get a good service from them

With three kitties we have had our share of issues. Dr. Klazura has been our vet for most of the illnesses and she is fantastic. Our 1 year old kitty Piper has been sick with two different issues within the last month and they have been wonderful. When I called about her being sick and having an emergency the person on the phone didnt hesitate she said Just bring her right in - well have a vet waiting to treat her. We had spent the last decade at Carriage Animal Clinic and when they tore it down to rebuild we were naturally concerned about our pets care at a different vets office - no need to worry - theyve been wonderful!
There is no one, absolutely no one better than Dr Buishas. My only gripe....I moved away and so far! Silly me, should have considered that when we moved!! So worth the drive when you trust a staff so much!

I cant speak on behalf of vet services but I wouldnt come here for grooming services. I took my two cats here over the summer and my one cat was probably brushed too much with the deshedder. It wasnt until I took him home and saw in the light that there was raw pink and red skin peeking through and there was a bald please that wasnt there before. My cat has a heart murmur and this worries me how aggressive the groomer may have been. The rest of the day and night he wouldnt leave my side which is not very usual for him. Made me feel so bad for him and his brother :(
They are great. My pup had 2 surgerys and they kept me informed. 2 years ago I lost a pup. They new about it and new I would be more concerned.
Ive had an absolutely terrible, horrible female doctor here once who was incredibly rude, misinformed on my dogs breed and had no advice for me when she misinformed me what the dog needed. I did some research after the visit and talked to another vet and discover that she indeed had no idea what she is talking about. HOWEVER, my pets have also seen a male doctor at this vet and he was absolutely wonderful, clear, and had great manners. So, the best I can do is 3 stars... Just hope to my lucky stars that my pets never have to see the female again.

Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital is wonderful. My husband, son, daughter in-law, mother bring and brought our animals to them. The staff sometimes is a little rude, but they have a lot to handle. For the most part, they all have hearts. The doctors are the best around. Very concerned, caring and loving. My best goes out to Dr. Bushias (?), Dr. Manna and Dr. Horton. Thank you so much for everything you did for our critters, past and present.

Amazing vet staff! They take care of dozens of my dogs a week as I run a rescue and they get the absolute best care! Plus they are more than fairly priced. I take my own dogs to see them and refer everyone I know to then. The Drs are extremely caring and always answer every question me or any of my fosters have. As for the bad reviews, people needs to understand that animals are like people. They can have bad reactions and even with people you have to pay for the care no matter what.

As much I as I appreciated the service offered by the vets, I was deceived as a first time dog owner with unnecessary expenses. For example, when my dog got neutered, I was asked to pay for their cone which costs about $20 when I could get my own down the street at petco for $7. This is just one example of how they try to make money: not telling you about all the options you have so you feel the pressure to spend the maximum amount at their place. This is not honest business.

I have been bringing my old English bulldog to glen Ellyn animal hospital for 10 years now. They are truly a great vet! They know my pup, his past history and are always prompt and available when I call about problems or bring him in for visits. They are reasonably priced and do everything possible to make sure my bully is happy and healthy! I have tried other vets in the area and they are either over priced or I feel they push meds or treatments on to you with out probable cause. I wouldnt bring my baby anywhere else!
Glen Ellyn Animal Hospital has helped us with our puppy since the moment we got her. Shes been terribly sick, and the staff here have always helped us make sure we knew everything that was going on, always offered options, and was overall very comforting and knowledgeable.
