Today was my first time using J&R Auto! The owner is extremely kind! I have received excellent recommendations from friends to use J&R Auto. I own a 1950 Ford. The owner owns several antique cars and knows how to work on them. I am so excited to be able to bring my daily driver and 1950 Ford for continuous service. Daryl is always honest with me. Because he is so honest with me, I always know I can trust him when he says my car needs work. He checks my car over before I go out on any road trip, near or far. In the event that my car does need work, he takes care of it immediately. He will even give my car an oil change as soon as he comes into work so that my car is ready for me to leave by 7:30 in the morning. I would strongly recommend J & R Auto Repair to anyone. We have been using J & R for a number of years and have been quite happy with them. Yesterday, my vans engine decided it wasnt happy and the engine light and bell went off for a brief period of time. I stopped by J & R and made an appointment for the next day. After looking it over and checking the memory, they could find nothing wrong with my vans engine. They added air to my tires and I was good to go. Daryl did not charge for the time spent on my van for which I am most grateful.

Excellent, five-star auto repair and customer service! Daryl and his team have continuously done a fantastic job with my 2007 Toyota RAV-4 every time I have brought the vehicle in for service. My go to place for auto repair in Glen Ellyn, Darrell is very knowledgeable and gets the job done as quick as possible for a good price. Oil changes, brakes, broken taillights etc, no need to pay the dealership a visit anymore.

Asked for an inspection and they went above and beyond. By the next day they had my issues fixed, filled my oil, filled $10 of gas, and passed my emissions test for me. I didnt ask for anything like that to be done and they did it all out of kindness. Really appreciate them!

I get great service and honest advice about my car and what it needs at the time.

I was referred to J&R Auto by the Illinois State Emissions. My moms car could not pass the emissions test, and I was told that J&R can help us figure out what was wrong. I called and made an appointment for the next morning, and everything was fine. The next morning, I went to drop off the car to be looked at, and I was informed that I needed the form/paperwork showing my moms car had failed the emissions test which I was never told the day before. The man I spoke to was very rude and condescending to me. I informed him that I was just doing a favor for my mom, and he went on asking if I really wanted to fix the car because of the condition of the vehicle. That was not necessary being that I am a PAYING CUSTOMER. It was very unprofessional along with poor customer. The employee kept telling me that he would not work on the car without the paperwork showing the car had failed, end of story. He did not offer to call to get a copy of the form nor offer any other options. I was also told that he did not have ANYTIME to work on the car in the afternoon. With all of that said, I will never go back to J&R Auto nor will I ever recommend them to anyone.

My husband had his car worked on three months ago and the car was running well after Daryl put in new spark plugs. Car started acting weird so we brought back in and Daryl says he needs to replace all the spark plugs since it looks like they were never replaced on this car, ever! My husband told him thats interesting since you just claimed to have done this three months ago and charged us a lot of money. Daryl stated he would check his records.. he then comes back to us saying we are right, that he did to that. Needlesstosay, as my husband told Daryl, his dishonesty is overwhelming and we would ever do business with him again.

My experience at this shop was great I definitely recommend it, the service that was done to my car was great the car would die on me if I wasnt accelerating, so after the fix it was running good as new. And the price was very fair. Will come back when needed again. Thanks.
