I can’t say enough how awesome Nate is. My check engine light came on and he got me right in and ran a diagnostic test. He called me and told me what was wrong and the price. He had it done the next day. I didn’t get it to him till 5:00 pm the day before. Nate’s knowledge and friendliness are above and beyond. I definitely recommend Nate and Lynn’s repair shop.

My friend and I had some major car issues on our road trip from Utah to South Dakota. We could not keep coolant in the reservoir and had overheated on the way up. On our way home, we decided to get it checked out at Lynns and the owner, Nate, got us in to take a quick look. He quickly diagnosed the problem, checked to see if there were parts available, helped us find a local motel so he could fix it the next morning. Even taxied us to the motel so he knew we got there safe. He ended up working on the car late into the evening so we could get back on the road as early as possible, picked us up at the motel and went over all of the work he did. The location is kind of hidden, but its well worth giving them a shot if you need repairs. I am the type of person who is terrified to go into an auto shop because I know so little about cars, but Nate made sure to educate me and show me everything he was doing in a clear way. Thank you Nate - we made it home safe!

My wife and I are currently moving across the country. Yesterday we hit freezing rain, snow, ice, and the windshield wipers stopped working. We got into town and called 30 min before closing, I told Nate we were on our way through town and our windshield wipers stopped working and he let us in before EOD to fix the car for a fair price. I know windshield wipers is a fairly novice issue. Im not great with cars, but Im glad there was a shop in town I could go to for a quick and affordable fix to get us back on the road.

ALL TIME #1 BEST MECHANIC!! Nate went out of his way to help us with our old Dodge Campervan! He was very busy but still chose to help us. He ordered two new parts, took us to the motel, put in a new bearing, belt, and ignition, picked us up the next day, picked out a tool kit for us to buy, and gave us a mechanics lesson. Nate was a life saver! I noticed a noise coming from my engine and called Nate to see if he could take a look at my car. I was able to take it right over and within a few minutes he discovered the problem. He refered me to a local business to have a full oil change. He was so kind, professional, and helpful.

Excellent, best service and price of any place I have ever reviewed. I wish I could rate it higher.I thought I had a minor issue with one brake but he found I had major issues with all 4 brakes. Turns out the last guy who replaced my brakes didnt know what he was doing... (Me... It was me...).Anyway. I needed to leave on an out of state trip the next day and he stayed after hours to get the job done. He was completely honest, constatly updating me on the work, took pictures and explained every step.All this, parts and service for under $450.Im so grateful and happy to have found such an honest and helpful mechanic.

Lynns Auto Repair came to me as a recommendation from a friend. I am beyond happy I took that recommendation and went with it. Nate is such an awesome guy... I have not met a mechanic with as much knowledge, honesty, and benevolence as this man since my uncle. Both times Nate worked on my Van it was pressing and unfortunate circumstances and boy did he ever go an extra mile. The guy puts his heart and soul into his work and it truly shows. Honest diagnosis, legit fair pricing (I had garage accounts with NAPA before and know for a fact he doesnt gouge you), and he really does work his butt off for you. Nate is one of the best mechanics I have ever been to. He is extremely knowledgeable and always willing to help if he can. My first experience with Lynn’s Auto was when my car kept going into “limp” mode on a long drive back to Gillette. He answered the phone (at 7:00 pm on a Friday!) and was able to give me a guess as to what was happening and got me into the shop right away the next week. I have had multiple experiences with him in the past year for various fixes and each time he is honest and up front about cost. He explains each fix and his reasoning for recommendations. I highly recommend going to Lynn’s Auto!

We are traveling through the country living in our van, so when things go wrong its hard to find a mechanic who can work on the van day of and get it back to us to sleep in. When the check engine light came on one morning in was hoping to find someone to take a look at it the next day. Nate did one better then that, he saw us that day. Nate was super knowledge and treated us like a peer. He stood with me as he checked everything and explained why he was looking at it and what it meant. I felt like I was in a friends garage working on the van, not a mechanic who just wanted my money. We wound up spending a bunch of time talking about family and travels amongst other things outside of the van. We could have talked all night (he stayed way past close to help us out) if it wasnt for a torrential down pour. When we left he sent us on our way with some tools we may need for future problems and a free calendar! Super helpful and didnt ask very much at all for hours of testing and checking things. Thank you!

We were traveling with our camper and had an emergency with our truck. Called Lynns Auto and Nate took care of us. Got us in the shop the next morning as week had called at closing. He diagnosed the issue over the phone, helped me get it to the shop quickly (he has connections 😉), and has the problem fixed within two hours!!😱. I had a short in the brake lights on my 1979 GMC Jimmy. Somebody told Me about Lynns Auto. Nate found the short and fixed it. Turned out it was in the turn signal switch. While he had the steering wheel off, He fixed my tilt wheel. This was in 1997. I have been using Lynns Auto ever since. Could not be happier with the service. Nate has worked on My 2002 Chevy Pickup and most recently My 1990 GMC conversion van. I had to wait a week because He was very busy. But I was on the road so it worked out O.K. He fixed my fuel pump and recharged My A/C and it works Great! Thanks Nate, Youre The Man!!

The other places I called were quoting me over a week out on fixes. Lynn’s Auto Repair was very nice to work with, professional, caring, courteous, knowledgeable, and did a great job. They are the only place I will take my vehicle from now on. I would recommend them to anyone! Plus as a bonus they are a local family run business who has been around since 1973.

I was recently traveling from Nevada to Minnesota and had truck troubles throughout Wyoming.He was able to get me into the shop right away and scan for codes to help diagnose my problems.We were able to clean the MAF sensor and get my vehicle out of limp mode. I was then able to drive the remaining 12 hours back to Minnesota without further troubles. A trip to the dealership would have been extremely costly and could have led to several days downtime. I strongly recommend this shop for any auto repair, he was very knowledgeable and I am forever thankful for his help.

My boyfriend and I were on a road trip from Seattle to Illinois and the transfer case in my truck siezed just outside of Gillette. Nate was amazing! Even though he was super busy and it was late in the day he stayed late to get the job done to get us back on the road and was super amazing explaining the job and what was going on and why. I have a 2011 jeep grand Cherokee, the check engine light came in and so I was close to this sho . I drove it there and dropped it off. Nate looked at it very quickly and described exactly what was wrong and what it was gonna take to fix it. I have never had better customer service, honesty, and a pleasant experienc . Nate had a death in the family and still managed to fix my jeep on time. It was exactly what he told me it would be to fix it. I cant recommend this place enough.

When I dropped my truck off at Lynns I was greeted by a clean mechanic with his hair combed and not a speck of grease on his hands. The inside is old but clean and well kept as well. Exceptional service, honest, and did a great job. Will definitely be going to him for all of my auto repair needs.

While on our way from Michigan to Yellowstone NP we were stranded on the side of the interstate outside of Gillette. We had our vehicle towed to Lynns Auto Repair. He fixed the waterpump for a reasonable price and even worked overtime to get it done for us. We were back on the road in no time! So thankful we were able to find Lynns and get our car repaired so that we could enjoy our family trip. :)

I was stranded in Gillette one night with my family. It was close to midnight, I called Lynn‘s and one of their mechanics answered the phone. Although they were closed, and this man had practically zero incentive to help, he still talked me through a complicated problem simply out of the kindness of his heart. He gave me approximately 30 minutes of his time without compensation. Never even asked for my information, just wanted to help me get on my way. If that’s not the sign of a good company, I don’t know what is. Thank you!

We had our Dodge pickup making strange noises from the front wheel. Went to the Dodge dealer and they couldnt get us in for days and they gave me Lynns auto repair. We were sure glad they did. Nate the owner really knows his stuff. He was able to get us in, diagnose the problem and worked into the night to get us on the road again the next morning. I hope we dont break down again in Gillette, but if we do I am going directly to Lynns.
