We were on the road, pulling our car behind our RV. Our car brakes failed. We had an estimate in the town we had been the previous week. It was at a Ford dealer who gave us an estimate of $2700 for both rear and front. They could not get the parts in time so we called ahead to Plains Tires. We were in Gillette WY for one week. Plains fit us in at the last moment and completed the job, despite the shortage of auto parts, before we had to leave. They found no problem with the rear brakes which had been replaced in 2019. Our bill was less than one half of the Ford Dealers estimate. Plains Tires was very helpful, keeping us informed of parts arrival and brake issues as they were working on it. Very courteous staff. Thank you Plains Tires.

Not going back!! My young adult (grad) had maybe a alignment issue. Had a warranty for tires witch maybe Im wrong is pretty broad, so I tried to get it fixed. They looked at it said the warranty wont cover it. So maybe check out the alignment tell me youre right and I can go from there. Noooo he argued with me about the photo below on whats excluded on the warranty. Im not here to fight I just want what I paid for and considerate customer service 🤷.

Made an appointment to drop of some wheels and tires to be swapped over. A tech I know said they had time, The younger guy up front said I could drop them off, then the older disrespectful make up front told me that I should take them somewhere else. His attitude was absolutely unnecessary and he does not deserve to be there. Being an old general manager in the automotive industry, I would have never treated a customer like that. Not happy and won’t go back and will NOT refer them to any friends or family.

Employees were talking bad about other customers because he didnt know how to do at tires and the front desk lady made me feel like they really didnt want me to bring in my car .... she said it was gonna take 1 1/2 and basically insisted I try somewhere else for a tire repair... and I was in and out within 10 mins ... yeah she really tried to sell it like they didnt have the time 🙄

Love this Tire Store! They have amazing deals on well made tires! They offer a credit card with incentives. They do amazing alignments. What I love about these guys is that they dont charge checking fee for alignments if you dont need one they just tell you. I had other places charge me to tell me that they didnt have to do anything! K appreciate this store and their craft!

Called to make an appointment to replace a rear wheel bearing hub on my Subaru and told them I was bringing the part in, that I just needed it installed. They made an appointment for 11 am the next day.I show up to my appointment and tell them I have the part and that I left it in the passenger seat for them to install. I was then notified that they wont install customer brought-in parts and they would have to order one in. I decided to see what the price was and was shocked their wheel hub would cost 240-ish dollars vs the one I bought, of good quality, that was a bit less than 100.Part of me wonders if this was an up-sell tactic or it could be that they dont listen to their customers over the phone. Either way, I gave them two stars because they were expedient in setting up an appointment for me but everything else after that fell short.

Anna was very helpful and knowledgeable on what tires I was able to run on my dually pickup!! Looking forward to ordering tires from them!!!

Im coming to see my parents, my tire popped. I had an amazing tow guy and an amazing assistant store manager at Plains Tire Co. In Gillette. He found 4 new tires. He was very helpful, very friendly. Joked around. This place was amazing, tOpened late and got my tire fixed. I would recommend it to anyone. I didnt catch his name. But Ive encountered so many very friendly, very helpful people. Thanks you Wyoming for being such an amazing state to visit.

I needed tires so I could make it home 90 miles away 2- 14 tires cost me $161.00 and I found out later they were smaller than the other 2 on my car and they didnt say a word about it to me. It could have messed up my car!

It was past five and all the other oil change places were closed. Low and behold Plains tire was OPEN and got me in right way. The gentleman that did my oil change stayed passed his shift almost two hrs to complete my oil change and whomever was before me. EXCELLENT customer service. Took truck in for their free brake check thing. I had an appointment at 3. I showed up at 2:40, they finally pulled my truck into a bay at 3:40. They informed me that both the master cylinder and brake booster would need replaced and quoted me $795. I set up an appointment. But called around for quotes from different places in town. Called 10 different places - they all quoted me between $800-$1200. The 10th phone call I made was to Buds Auto Repair. The only place that had the decency to inform me that typically the master cylinder and brake booster dont go out at the same time. Its either one or the other. Bud did say that there was a chance it could be both but highly doubtful. Bud quoted me $350. I canceled my appointment with plains. It was just the master cylinder and it was $355.74I learned a very valuable lesson with this experience. Let a tire shop do just that - tires.

They are the Wells Fargo of Tire stores. They do not care about service. They only want to sell you something new. I took my perfectly good tires, and they were too scared to touch them. Their excuse: too old. They will not work on anything over 10 years old. That is continent for them, since then you have to buy new. Save you time and money, and go to a REAL tire store.

Wonderful service, i came in at 7:15 AM to get a tire rotation. They had me out by 8 AM.

Fairly quick service but the staff I dealt with seemed to be short and snotty with me about product they said I needed for my vehicle, when I asked about pricing about those particular products and how incredibly high they were and how I could get the same thing cheaper elsewhere the attitude didnt get any better and their reasoning was that their product was better.

Went in for a flat repair and unfortunately the tire was unrepairable but Patrick at the front counter was very polite and Ill definitely be coming back when I have the money for new tires.

I drove over a large pin/bolt and it was stuck in my back tire with air coming out of it. When I got to Plains Tire in Gillette they took care of me right away. I was so pleased to get it fixed before the tire went totally flat and got ruined.

We had a tire stem break off on our rv and the guys here had us back on the road in about 20 minutes. Super nice and very affordable.

Ive done a lot of business with Plains Tire over the years. I bought three sets of tires recently, taking advantage of their warehouse sale. I also have them rotate the snow tires off and on each season. They have always treated me well. Last year there was a lug nut that wouldnt loosen up. They called me and told me about it and a quote of how much it would be to remove it. I was disappointed, but when I went to pick up my vehicle the manager waved the charge. Made my day.

Dont go here for an oil change. After an oil change my oil was over a quart overfilled. The oil was also still dirty. They dumped oil from the filter all over the inside of my engine compartment and skid plate. They did give me a refund so I gave an extra star.
