I took my dining room chairs to Isabela & Ed at Gilbert Upholstery. They had a sculptured solid wood seat. This company is so easy to work with, that I was given websites to choose fabric, which I did and with in a week the fabric was in and the chairs were transformed. I called Gilbert Upholstery mid-morning about possibly being able to fix a tear that our puppy caused after digging into a sofa cushion. The owners asked for photos and after looking, they were very honest that they would need to see it in person before being able to definitively tell me if they could repair it or not. They explained that because of what fabric was used, that alone could hinder a quality repair. I took the cushion to them and not only was it awesome to see how well this husband and wife team worked together, they came up with the perfect solution. They were able to fix the hole in my cushion to the point we couldn’t see where it was at all when the cover was put back into the foam! Impeccable!!! Not only that, but while I was waiting, I got to look through photos of restoration pieces they had together- either personal or client work. They are gifted in their craft and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing a repair, but also for restoration pieces :)They were timely and honest in their response to my need, quick in providing a quality repair, and extremely fair in their pricing.

The down filling in our sofas pillows was flat, and the sofa seat cushions were getting saggy, so we took them to Gilbert Upholstery for a very quick and satisfying fix. I had been plumping the pillows every morning after they had been sat in, but no longer. They give excellent support now -- no more sagging. Highly recommend this terrific family-owned company.

Gilbert Upholstery re-covered my parents old wingback chair that was headed for the trash. They transformed it into a great looking smoking chair for my man cave. The quality of the work was excellent and the price was reasonable -less than any other place I got a quote from.When I got the chair home, I felt the cushion was a little firm. After a several months I assumed it would break in and soften up, but I was wrong (good foam!). I contacted them and, for no charge, they switched out the foam for something a little softer and now it’s perfect. Great customer service! Highly recommend, you won’t be dissapointed. Thanks again!

I want to thank Gilbert Upholstery for the beautiful job they did on my two kitchen chairs. They were very professional and gave an honest estimate. Not only did they reupholster the chairs they restrained and touched up the legs.

I took two Parson chairs to Gilbert Upholstery on or around January 18th. I was given samples to chose from, along with the websites to view as well. When I narrowed my choices down to three options I emailed them to Isabelle because I could not get her on the office phone for several days. Long story short, I was told one story by Ed why there was such a delay and was guaranteed Isabelle would call me back that same day by 12 noon...she never called, she texted a totally different story from what Ed said and I was no further than when I spoke with Ed that morning.After I finally got the quotes for the fabrics I picked, after 2 1/2 weeks or so of getting the run around from Isabelle, Im told I would have to Venmo the money to her and she would send the phone number to Venmo the money to. Guess what? That was another week before she emailed me to tell me she would send me the number the next day. I was done.While it appears Eds work is good, by looking at the pictures, however, the customer service from Isabelle was completely unprofessional and due to that I will never know how good their work really is. Ultimately, they had my chairs for almost a month and did absolutely nothing with them.After the weeks of non-communication from Isabelle just to get quotes for the fabric, I lost trust in them as a business.

Thank you Gilbert Upholstery for the great experience I had. I feel that they thoroughly explained the upholstery process to me. Including what to look for when purchasing a fabric. I never had anything redone before. Therefore, I was a little hesitant and confused on where to go. I have been wanting to redo my great grandmas sofa that I inherited. I found the right place to have this done! Their knowledge is incredible, and the final product was beautifully done. I highly recommend them.

They are professional, polite, time estimate was realistic, and quality of work was exceptional!! We took a 15 year old chair from Copenhagen to be reupholstered. The attention to detail with type of fabric and pattern fit the chair even better than we could have imagined. They have hundreds of fabric options to choose from, and explained the pros and cons of each fabric choice we were interested in. Once the chair was complete they explained to us methods of care and cleaning to keep our newly upholstered chair looking great for 15+ more years!!

What an amazing place! Ed and Isabelle are absolutely wonderful and did such a great job re-stuffing our sofa cushions. We bought two sofas from a high end retailer around two years ago and were disappointed to see how the cushions started to look frumpy within months of owning them. I spoke to Isabelle on the phone before bringing the cushions in and she gave me pricing (all I had to do was text a picture) and was extremely helpful. We picked up our four cushions within a few days of dropping them off and I can honestly say they look better than the day they were delivered to us from the store! Isabelle and Ed were great to work with. I needed four rec room chairs recovered with an outdoor fabric. They recommended a reasonable business to purchase the fabric. Once I got the fabric to there shop, Ed was very patient and knowledgeable in explaining what he could do for me. He thought it might take a week to complete the job, but I got a text and Isabelle said they were completed in just 3 days. They look great! As an added plus Ed even made a table cover with the extra fabric that will match the chairs. I would recommend that you contact Gilbert Upholstery to do your next fabric job.

Very Unprofessional, but good work. I called Gilbert Upholstery to get a quote to replace the foam in a couch cushion as well as replace the zipper in the cover. I was told it would be $40-45. So, I brought it to their house to have the work done. I had to ask the man if he wanted my contact information, otherwise, I dont think he would have asked. I then had to follow-up to find out when it would be finished. I ended up calling 2-3 different times before it was done. It was only 2-3 weeks, which was fine. When it was completed, I was told it would be $75 from the wife and I had a voicemail message from the husband that it would be $30. I picked it up and asked what happened to the original price of $40-$45 and was told that was the price for the foam only without the labor. I didnt think that was right as how was I supposed to know it didnt include the labor. So, I agreed to pay $50. At one point, the wife offered to just give it to me for free, but I didnt think that was fair. The work was good, but the business side of the service was very unprofessional.

Service is fabulous. End product is absolutely amazing. They were able to create exactly what I imagined. They even upgraded the wood within my seats to improve end result. I recommend highly. They offer high quality and professionalism without typical overhead of other companies.

Isabelle and Ed did a beautiful job reconditioning our dining chairs. They are like new and the seats are comfortable to sit in again. And they were done very quickly.

Had a leather couch and loveseat that had some rips in the seat cushions. We were gonna just donate them. We checked with Ed and Isabelle and they asked me to bring them the cushions to look at. They quoted me a price and told me they’d be ready in a week. I returned to pick them up and was amazed how great they looked. He replaced the panels, stitching and even dyed some light spots in the leather. They looked so good we decided to keep the pieces and donate our other furniture. Great work at a great price.

Excellent quality!!! We are very pleased with the workmanship on our couch. My husband needed more support added to our couch for him and Gilbert Upholstery added a whole new system beneath the cushions. Now he can sit on the couch without it sinking. These people r amazing, I had called around numerous shops to fix my leather couch n all of the Upolstery shop were so expensive that it wasn’t woth it for me pay to have it upholstered . The pride of workmanship from Ed is amazing! He and Isabel are quite a team. We called with questions, sent pictures, obtained advice on fabrics and then took our chairs to their shop. There shop is not fancy, but the quality is excellent! Even during reupholstering, Ed called us to clarify a detail on the finishing. We now have four gorgeous bar stools with stripped fabric (seats and back and front), welting,new foam and filler and they look perfect!!! Will use them again.

To seek help from Gilbert Upholstery was a special experience. We had seats of two highchairs for a dinner table damaged, and reached out to this company for help. We were a little bit confused how this was to be done, but the result was overwhelming. We have never met such willingness to help and to satisfy our needs. We even were offered to borrow some tools to take home for fixing the table itself, too big to bring to the workshop. Trust and helpfulness can do wonders!Update: In addition, we were helped to help ourselves, by providing instructions and materials for do-it-yourself issues at home, on items that could not easily be brought to their workshop.
