This is tiny store but packed with many different medical equipment. From crutches, walkers, braces, wheel chairs, etc. Very friendly customer service.

I had been calling several Medicsl Supply stores that will bill Medicare and 2nd Insurance. When I called American Medical Roger answered the phone and knew exactly what Medicare wanted/needed for a transport chair for my 97 yo mom. We drove to the store and Kendal understood what we wanted and the paperwork necessary for both insurances to cove. She faxed the doctor and once she receives the correct wording from doctor she will send off to Medicare . I did not have to do anything! Talk about complete full circle service!They could not have been nicer or more helpful.I am so thankful.

Was calling on behalf of my 93yr great grandmother (who is at major risk of falling) for a new rollator. they said they couldnt bill Medicare for 5 years in-between charges. I then contacted Medicare to find out that there is no such thing. and that they had one on file for her from 2017 but we never received one and they were demanding proof I didnt get one. we have no information or paperwork on it what so ever.you can do better

I had dealings with this company back in 2018 and it was great then. But the dealings I have with them now are horrible. My prescription has been there for a month now. I keep getting told things are being sent to my dr for signature when nothing is being sent. I keep being told there is someone different I need to talk to. And then when I call and ask to speak to one particular person I was told that I couldnt and needed to speak to someone else. I even asked to leave a message for that person and the receptionist, Kathy, wouldnt even take my message for him. I am not sure what has happened to the customer service with this place but it has definitely went downhill. I actually have switched medical equipment companies now because of this. I would rather start the whole process over with a new company then to be given this service.

American Medical Equipment has provided supplies to my son for about 6 years and I have been absolutely pleased with their service! All of the staff that I have come in contact with have been polite and go the extra mile to make sure my son’s needs are met. Doug is the BEST!

Ann helped my very difficult grandmother yesterday. So grateful for Anns knowledge and her wonderfully patient demeanor. Ann wasnt going to allow my grandmother to buy a walker she wasnt 100% happy with, either. You do not see that too often. Thanks, Ann and AME.

Very polite and knowledgeable staff. I had gone to 3 other stores in the Austin area to find my wife a pair of crutches. All of the other places told me they didnt have them and couldnt get them. American Medical Equipment had one pair left in stock, at a great price. Thank you!

Love that they’re a small office, yet they can do everything a big company can. I love how personable they are and how they keep in contact. If there are any discrepancies in paper work they’ll call you right away. My favorite part; THEY DELIVER, not UPS, not FED EX, THEY DO IT!!

The ladies here were great! I needed the tubing for my daughters nebulizer. I called first and they said they would be closing soon but would wait. I walked in and they had what I needed already pulled and waiting for me. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. I will be back for sure.

Bought several items at this store back a few weeks. My husband passed before we used any of it. Tried to return it and was told I didnt buy it there even though I had the receipt and none of the packages were open Had their store stickers still on them. Have learned a hard lesson not to go there again. Be careful when you buy there and make sure you can return.

I was looking for a strap for my face mask, since mine was a bit worn and I was going on vacation in a few days i did not have time to order it where i usually get all cpap supplies which is Amazon. So I found them online and called to find a strap. At first I talked to a young man and he seemed helpful. I then said i would be at there store before closing time 5:30 p.m. When i walked in it was 5:10 p.m...an older lady and other staff greeted me. Their place was tidy. However, when the older lady asked what she could help me with I told her that I needed a strap. She asked who my acct rep was and I told her this was my first time here. Then she asked if I had a prescription for sleep study...I replied that it was not with me and when I called the staff member I spoke to saud nothing about needing a PRESCRIPTION...but I did have one. Then it became an ordeal! She started going on about A PRESCRIPTION...and I gentley interrupted her with All I need is a strap she kept on and on about THE PRESCRIPTION. Then a staff member came out of one of their offices and asked what kind of mask i needed I showed her my head gear and she didnt say much and disappeared for a minute....The older lady that was lecturing me about THE PRESCRIPTION rolled her eyes and turned away and mumbled I guess she went to get a strap! All this time i was thinking these people are smug or slightly rude...so the staff member returns with strap drops it on the older ladys desk gives her a code and doesnt say anything else...no thank you..no eye contact..not much of customer service skills. .then the older lady...sez lets go over here so i can ring you up ok...then her attitude changes asking questions about where and when i got my sleep study done...and where i shop for supplies...i told her Amazon...but because I was leaving the country in a few days i didnt have the time to get my order. I was curious and so i asked her Why Amazon doesnt ask for a PRESCRIPTION like they do..she replies with: They just havent been caught yet! ..I didnt know how to reply back to Miss Know It All...so i kind of dismissed it....then she asked me where i was vactioning to......after i told her then i became important. My imput on my first time experience at American Medical Equip in Georgetown was 2 stars because of the lack of customer service not that I didnt get my product but the way that they made me feel was a bit Scorned and that they just wanted to appease me to move along...i not saying that i wont use them in a pinch but not returning anytime soon!

Made a phone call and was screamed and yelled at and told I needed a prescription for an item I can purchase out of catalog without one.
