We hired Kohutek Engineering to come out and do a geotechnical report for our future house and barn site in Llano, Tx. They arrived a month later then they said they would. The day we had them come out and test we walked the engineers to both marked out sites and witness them dig in both locations. They took photos of the sites as well. And to this day we currently can view the holes in which they tested. Once we recieved the reports and handed them off to our builder we noticed some conflicting information. On the report there is a page with a sitemap and the plan of borings. This shows the marked location of which they tested. These location where not marked correctly. Instead of marking where they had dug (on the house site), it was marked on a riding arena location that was untested. This causes our report for the house site unusable. In the report it even has a photo of where they actually dug (you can see the holes.) showing they had done it on the correct location. Im sure this is complicated to follow without seeing the report first hand, but the mistake is very clear. Considering throughout the whole document they state they engineered the House and Barn site. On the site map page where they have it marked wrong it even says outdoor riding arena. An arena is never mention anywhere else on the report. Clearly an easy oversight and it should have been an easy fix. Well... I then called the company and spoke to a man named Gordon. I explained the error to him but he continued to tell me over and over that I was wrong, that they had made no mistake. I said well if that was the case why is there an image with holes in the correct spot on the report. He said I dont care if there was a picture of the moon, that is not where we dug. While I was on the phone with him I was standing over the test sites. I saw them test it. But no matter the evidence he said we didnt make a mistake, This report is correct. Basically calling me a liar. I eventually hung up on him because of is absurd rudeness and inability to admit any discrepancies were possible. So at this point I have a very expensive soil report for my house site that isnt useable. Im blown away by some of the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. I dont recommend this company to my worst enemy.
