Very nice place to spend some time on seneca lake and nearby wineries and breweries!

Great cottage with a view ( limited) of Seneca lake. Beautiful log cabins & sizable lot give you space but a few more trees between them for privacy would be nice.

Many wasps in Windows of our log cabin!! Which is normal, but made for an uncomfortable weekend! Otherwise a beautiful comfortable place!!

Really nice place. Only thing is that we left our wood that we bought by our parking space and we came back someone had taken it.

Love this place!!!We stayed in one of the little log cabins over the weekend, and we couldnt be happier! The place was clean and beautiful! Each cabin has its own gas grill and fire pit. Perfect for a summer getaway. And the best part, they accept and welcome dogs which can be tough to find sometimes. They even provided a door to block off the opening to the deck stairs so that our dog could enjoy the beautiful view with us! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place to enjoy the beauty of Seneca!

We stayed at Cobtree several times and we enjoyed very much each of our stay! We tried both cottage and cabin and they were all well maintained and equipped with everything we may need at home. Rooms were clean with fantastic lake views from porch and windows. Beds were very comfortable. The resort is so beautiful, quite, well managed and close to many attractions nearby. The owner Robert and Jane are very nice and friendly couple. They were always around and helpful when we needed them. They worked hard to make our stays pleasant memories.We would definitely come back again.

We rented several cabins at Cobtree for out-of-state friends and family who attended my daughters wedding at the North Farm nearby. This was a perfect location. The houses were spacious, clean and able to accommodate a large number of people. VERY nice place!

This is an annual pilgrimage for my husband and I along with his siblings and their spouses. We get to spend a long weekend with views of the lake and wine tasting. This year there was a fast moving snowstorm that turned our regular routine into a winter wonderland. Inside this beautiful and cozy cabin we had great food and wine, endless conversations to catch up and a gorgeous moonlit sky (and another celestial event...a lunar eclipse). Amazing accommodations. Highly recommend. Everything you need. Property and cabins so beautiful. We had such a great time. Short distance to Geneva. All restaurants and delivery to cabin as well. Watched the sunset while enjoying local pizza. Definitely a gem in area.

Nice clean and roomy. Beds and pillows need to be a bit more comfortable not terrible but could be a tad more softer. Wish the cable TV would have had just a few more channels. Seemed like only local TV was the only available channels. Comes in handy for the kids.

We were a little apprehensive back in October 2008 when we booked out first week at Cobtree. It was the first time we made reservations over the Internet. Well, we loved that week so much we have just returned from our eighth visit.The setting is exquisite –farmland, woods and a beautiful view of Lake Seneca. Yet 10 minutes away is Wegmans and a number of fine restaurants. Each day we choose a different State Park or waterfalls as our destination –with stops along the way at the wonderful Finger Lakes wineries. And we have our lovely cottage or cabin at Cobtree to come home to.Our dogs love walking in the woods every morning and evening. Jack and I look forward to our breakfast on the deck and our glass of wine in the evening watching the sun set.You really don’t have to bring a thing. It is the most well-equipped place we have ever stayed. And Robert and Jane are wonderful hosts -- warm and welcoming.

The Cobtree rental homes are quaint and quiet. Great for the wedding we were at. The landscaping is gorgeous and well maintained. The houses are in fairly good condition but could use a bit of touch-up.

Clean cabins with all the modern amenities. Cozy and quiet but close enough to civilization for supply runs. Easy to get to and lots of room. Great views. Checkout is a bit early and rules a bit passive aggressively stated but an overall nice stay.

Just there to pick up wine tour group. Looks interesting and worth a closer look. Could be a bit pricey being up on the lake.

We had a great stay at Cobtree. The owners were very accomodating. The house was clean,comfortable and well appointed. A lot of little extras were included to make our stay that muchnicer. The view over Seneca Lake is FANTASTIC!!!! Geneva is an active college town with many local wineries. Try one of the Italian restaurants for a taste of home cooking. We will definitely be returning next year. Thanks for the great stay!

Centrally located near many wineries. Managers are friendly, responsive and very helpful. Very roomy and comfortable. Feels like staying at home. Very reasonable and certainly worth the price.

Amazing location and views. Cottages were cozy and there is plenty of room for activities.

As advertised with only minor exceptions. The propane grill at Cayuga cottage should be removed or replaced. Nearby wineries seemed to be open only by chance or appointment. Overall beautiful, clean and efficiency place for a group to stay.

My family and I had a great experience during our stay. The log cabin was beautiful and very clean and it had everything we needed. The kids loved the bunk beds and my husband loved the flat screen TVs. The view of Seneca Lake is gorgeous. We cant wait to book our next stay.

Great property with all the comforts of home except for the beds. Please invest in better mattresses and pillows. Im literally writing this review at 2:30 am because I cannot sleep from being extremely uncomfortable. Plan on bringing your own pillow and a mattress pad or foam if you want a goodnights sleep.

We had a large group, rented three homes, great grills and fire pits and location was fantastic for access to our Triathlon and wineries.

BED BUGS :( :( we stayed in the Canandigua Home Labor Day weekend 2018* so only a few weeks ago and this was my first review. It was the worst experience ever... they are living in the bunk bed room in the crevices.. owners were aware this has been an issue but the bed still remains. The bites we had were awful! We were completely disgusted and in all the places I have ever stayed, I’ve never experienced anything like this. Please beware. It definitely ruined our first experience of the finger lakes.

We have been going to Cobtree for several years and have stayed in both cabins and cottages. We have two requirements when we rent a property: it must be pet friendly and have WiFi. Cobtree is our home away from home, our favorite is Seneca Cottage. So much better than a cramped hotel room! There is lots to do or not, your choice. Our two dogs are so excited when we arrive they dont know if they should run into the house (they know it) or go visit Cheeko, the owners dog! Both properties and grounds are beautifully maintained. We usually spend at least a week. We are still deciding which season is best - its so hard. Weve been there late March-early April, mid July as well as September-October. you must look at the virtual tours for each house - what you see is what you get but better in person.... There are two new cottages that we saw being built, were thinking maybe we should rent one of them.......We are trying to decide when to go this year. Its a wonderful relaxing place with incredible ever changing views.

There are passive aggressive notes in every room of the cabin detailing what not to do, like This toilet is made for masceratijng waste only which is intrusive and in welcoming. There were not enough towels for the people they knew were staying here. Not even hand towels in each bathroom

I stayed recently at this site and found the accommodation superbly furnished & everything you need kitchen wise too. The site overlooks Lake Seneca. And you are a two hour drive to NIAGRA FALLS and near the City of Rochester. The owners Robert & Jane an English couple give you the warmest welcome & area wealth of information of the local area. Room and location are great! Many activities to attend, and the grounds are very nice and maintained.

We have been going to the Finger Lakes region for the last few years, but never stay close to the lake. This time we decided to find a rental closer to Seneca Lake, and this cabin was. The location, was great. Close to many wineries and not too far from Genevas local town to go out to eat and to Wegmans. Our main concerns are actually with the home specifically. The grounds are beautiful. It looks a little colt like, with the way the houses are set up but well maintained and a very welcoming space for our two small dogs to run. What was problematic for us was the inside or structure. The water smelled horrific. It actually smelt like rotten eggs and it was apparent the water had not been treated in a very long time. We actually went and bought gallons of water to cook with, wash our hands, drink and brush our teeth. Only two of us stayed in the home, thankfully, otherwise the smell would have been even worse with more guests. Next, the grill was filthy and had not been cleaned in quite some time. The directions clearly state the renter is responsible to clean the grill and/or the cleaning crew and neither have happened in a while. It was filled with grease and made us apprehensive to even use it with foil. Another major concern was the front step was loose and rocky. When entering, I almost fell a few times. This needs to be fixed for everyones safety. The cabin was well equipped with all necessary household essentials, but there are several cob webs that need to be cleaned and the bug zapper is filled with bugs (inside the house) which really grossed us out. We appreciate the zapper there to catch bugs inside the house, but the ceilings and zapper need to regularly be cleaned. Finally, the dishwasher is extremely loud/broken and needs to be repaired so we were unable to use that. What is really upsetting is we emailed the owners and expressed all of our concerns and how the above really impacted our stay and we felt the price was not fair in conjunction with what we paid for (over $1200 for 3 nights) Their response confirmed they would be fixing everything we notated and also made mention they planned to sell their property so they were not really worried about what review I would write. While I understand they are going to be moving on, I took that as quite a smack in the face. Basically saying well, we are retiring and selling so we do not care what you have to say. So conclusively, I felt it was necessary to share a true and candid review.**** edited after the owners responded! We would NEVER leave dog poop around. We have two small dogs, 8&11 lbs and have dog bags on every leash! There were several other dogs there, but they’re quick to blame us when we pick up after every single BM. Unreal that’s all they could say back! The owner Robert, is now sending me emails all of a sudden claiming we left his house a mess, claiming total lies because he’s upset that I shared the truth. We cleaned that house top to bottom, left new garbage bags and removed the sheets so there’s NO way what he’s claiming is correct. He’s CRAZY! Do not stay here, they will claim lies afte the fact when you tell the truth and harass you. I’m reporting him and his emails to VRBO. Also, I’d like to add that they did NOT deal with our concerns until after we departed so this was not done prior.

We stayed overnight in one of the cabins. It was comfortable and clean.
